About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's Tax team is hiring a Tax Director to own the company's global income tax provision and US income tax compliance function. This is a core operational leadership role: you will run the quarterly and annual ASC 740 close, manage the co-sourced compliance program, and build the processes, controls, and team that keep both scaling with the company.
What makes this seat unusual is what flows through it. Anthropic is deploying capital into compute and data center infrastructure at a scale and pace with few precedents, alongside an active program of acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments — and every one of those transactions lands in the provision and the returns. We prefer candidates who bring familiarity and hands-on experience with complex M&A and infrastructure transactions on top of the core provision and compliance skill set: someone who can own the tax purchase price allocation workpapers, write the technical memo on a novel financing or lease structure, and then carry that answer correctly through the ASC 740 close and into the compliance workstream.
Key responsibilities
Own the quarterly and annual worldwide income tax provision: current and deferred computations, effective tax rate reconciliation, deferred tax inventory and valuation allowance assessments, stock-based compensation, uncertain tax positions, and return-to-provision true-ups
Own the tax journal entries, account reconciliations, income tax footnote and disclosures, and the supporting workpapers and SOX controls; manage the financial statement audit relationship with our Big 4 auditors
Coordinate the international components of the provision with the team and outside advisors, and drive continuous improvement in close speed and quality
Manage the US federal and state income tax compliance program, working with our co-sourced Big 4 providers: returns, estimated payments and extensions, elections and disclosures, and the compliance calendar
Own cash tax forecasting and support tax authority notices, examinations, and audit defense
Drive automation and tax technology adoption across the provision and compliance processes, including AI tooling
Own tax purchase price allocation workpapers for acquisitions: taxable vs. nontaxable characterization, ASC 805 opening balance sheet deferred taxes, goodwill component analysis, and reconciliation to the tax basis balance sheet — plus tax diligence, structuring, and integration (reorganization qualification, equity compensation in deals, Section 382, transaction costs, stub period returns)
Analyze data center and compute infrastructure arrangements — lease classification, sale-leasebacks, Section 467 rent schedules, build-out cost recovery — and the financing structures around them: debt vs. equity characterization, prepayments, vendor financing, warrants and equity instruments in commercial agreements, and joint venture formations and buyouts
Prepare and review technical memos documenting positions for auditors and leadership, and model the cash tax and effective tax rate consequences of proposed structures for Corp Dev, Finance, and Legal while deals are being negotiated
Mentor and develop tax team members and help build the function as the company grows
Manage outside advisors on opinions, studies, and valuations, and own those budgets and relationships
Minimum qualifications
Have substantial experience managing a corporate tax function in the multinational software and technology industry, including hands-on experience running the income tax provision and compliance processes, with a combination of Big 4 public accounting and in-house tax department experience
Have owned the full ASC 740 provision cycle at a multinational company — not just reviewed pieces of it — including deferred taxes, valuation allowance judgments, uncertain tax positions, footnote and disclosures, SOX controls, and auditor management
Have managed a US federal and state income tax compliance program at scale, including co-sourced arrangements with Big 4 providers
Bring familiarity and hands-on experience with complex M&A transactions — tax purchase price allocations, ASC 805 opening balance sheet accounting, diligence and structuring — and ideally experience with infrastructure leases, build-outs, and the financing arrangements behind them
Write clear, well-organized technical memos that hold up with Big 4 auditors, and can explain the same issue in plain terms to non-tax partners
Hold a CPA; a Master's in Taxation or LLM is a plus
Thrive on novel fact patterns and ambiguity, and default to building the workpaper and writing the position down rather than waiting for a template
Preferred qualifications
Familiarity and experience with data center or similar capital-intensive infrastructure transactions — hyperscaler-scale compute, energy, or telecom deals, project finance, or joint venture structures
Experience analyzing warrants, convertible instruments, or other equity components embedded in commercial and supply agreements, and debt-equity analysis for intercompany and third-party financing
An interest in applying AI tools to tax workflows

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Finance team is where numbers become decisions. We partner closely with business leaders across the company to make sure Wealthsimple is allocating resources wisely, hitting its targets, and building toward long-term sustainability. Within Finance, the Tax team is responsible for managing Wealthsimple's tax profiles across a growing number of legal entities and products — balancing tax law compliance while enabling business strategy. We're a small, high-trust team embedded in the business, and we hold ourselves to a high bar for both rigour and clarity.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Manager, Transfer Pricing & International Tax to join our growing Tax team and take ownership of the company’s transfer pricing framework.
This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys combining technical tax expertise with practical business partnership. You will lead transfer pricing policy, documentation, compliance audit and advisory work across the group, while partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Legal, FP&A and business teams.
The role is primarily focused on transfer pricing, with an opportunity to support broader international tax matters if/when the company expands into new markets in future.
You will have the opportunity to help build a scalable transfer pricing function in a fast-growing fintech environment, including establishing processes, controls and documentation that support continued growth and future IPO readiness.
IN THIS ROLE YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Own, update and maintain the group’s transfer pricing framework, policies and governance processes, including the contemporaneous documentation. Ensure they remain aligned with the group’s actual functions, assets and risks.
- Lead the preparation and review of Canadian and international transfer pricing documentation, including local files, master files and supporting analyses, as applicable.
- Develop scalable transfer pricing processes, controls and governance appropriate for a growing organization.
- Identify opportunities to automate transfer pricing calculations, data collection and reporting.
- Lead transfer pricing analysis for intercompany services, technology and IP arrangements, financing, guarantees, cost allocations and other related-party transactions.
- Assess appropriate transfer pricing methodologies and oversee benchmarking and economic analyses.
- Manage transfer pricing calculations, data requirements and processes
- Monitor intercompany transactions and identify gaps between transfer pricing policies, agreements and actual activity.
- Review and/or design intercompany agreements and supporting documentation.
- Monitor changes in the business and proactively identify transfer pricing implications of new products, entities, jurisdictions and changes to operating models.
- For any special projects, manage external advisors and ensure deliverables are technically sound and commercially practical.
- Support transfer pricing audits, tax authority inquiries and controversy matters.
- Build relationships across the organization and proactively identify tax considerations before business decisions are finalized.
- Support the Tax team with international tax matters as the company expands its footprint.
- Monitor developments in international tax rules, including bilateral tax treaties and OECD initiatives, and assess potential impacts on the business.
SKILLS YOU’LL BRING:
- 5–8+ years of relevant experience in transfer pricing, international tax or tax advisory.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian transfer pricing rules and OECD transfer pricing principles.
- Experience with Canadian transfer pricing documentation, T106 and T1134 reporting.
- Experience with intercompany transactions and multinational or cross-border operating models.
- Strong understanding of transfer pricing methodologies and economic benchmarking.
- Experience managing transfer pricing projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through complex transactions and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical tax matters to non-tax stakeholders, and translate complex transfer pricing concepts into clear, practical recommendations.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- CPA, CA, LL.M. or another relevant professional designation is an asset.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience in fintech, financial services, technology or another rapidly growing industry.
- U.S. tax or other international transfer pricing experience.
- Experience with intercompany financing and guarantee arrangements.
- Experience with technology, intellectual property or centralized service arrangements.
- Experience with transfer pricing audits or tax controversy.
- Experience with tax technology, automation or data analytics.
WHY JOIN US?
This is an opportunity to join a high-growth fintech at an exciting stage of its evolution and help build the transfer pricing function rather than simply maintain an established model.
You’ll work on cross-border transactions, innovative financial products and evolving business models while partnering with stakeholders across Tax, Finance, Treasury and the broader organization.
The role offers significant opportunity to grow with the company, with the potential to take on broader international tax responsibilities as the business expands internationally.
If you’re a transfer pricing professional who enjoys solving complex problems, building scalable processes and partnering with the business, we’d love to hear from you.

At the same time we act as strategic advisors whose input helps shape the roadmap of product teams.
As Head of Accounting&Automation, you will own the accounting function for a growing group of 8+ legal entities across two equally important dimensions: the team and the systems. On the team side, you'll build and lead the accounting team, operationalize new entities as we expand into new jurisdictions, and ensure compliance across all of them. On the automation side - increasingly the bigger, more strategic half of the role - you'll own our accounting data and tooling roadmap. This role suits someone who thinks like an owner and enjoys building and creating, while also leading a team and staying on top of multi-jurisdiction compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional accounting projects end-to-end — partnering with Product, Tech, Legal, and Commerce on initiatives like new business lines and models, process flows implementations/changes&automation rollouts.
- Build and lead the accounting team - hire, structure, assign entity ownership, and manage performance.
- Implement accounting technologies and tools; drive AI adoption and automation across the function.
- Operationalise new group entities - set up charts of accounts, accounting processes, and intercompany relationships; implement group structure changes in accounting.
- Develop and maintain internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures; evolve accounting processes as the product grows and new business lines are introduced.
- Coordinate group audits and ensure GAAP compliance across all jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with financial covenants and oversee regulatory reporting obligations across group entities.
- Oversee tax reporting and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filings across all jurisdictions.
- Act as the primary contact for various departments and external parties (tax consultants, auditors) regarding accounting matters.
Requirements
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years managing teams.
- Proven track record of leading, building, or scaling an accounting team.
- Deep expertise in Lithuanian GAAP and/or IFRS, intercompany accounting and consolidation.
- Strong business acumen, ability to understand business in detail by connecting the responsibilities and inputs of all organizational units.
- Proficient in accounting close processes, audit coordination, and financial statement review and analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
- AI tools experience and a mindset for automating manual workflows.
- Exceptional time management, task ownership, and prioritization skills.
- Fluency in both English and Lithuanian (written and spoken).
- Experience in a high-growth tech, marketplace, or e-commerce company would be a plus.
Compensation
Starting from €5,500 gross/month, the final offer will depend on your experience and skills.

We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector, co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms.

Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
THE ROLE
As a Consolidation Manager on the Finance team, you will build and run Mistral's consolidation function from the ground up. The group is setting up a true, recurring IFRS consolidation, and this role owns the transition end-to-end. It is a rare opportunity to design a consolidation framework at a fast-scaling group.
You will consolidate a perimeter of around 30 entities across some 15 countries, in a multi-currency environment. The scope is evolving by nature: new entities, new revenue streams, acquisitions generating goodwill and business-combination accounting, and a complex group structure that will keep consolidation challenging over time.
You will report to the Group Accounting Director and work closely with the IFRS team, delivering reliable consolidated figures to leadership and shareholders.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Build and run a recurring monthly IFRS consolidation across ~30 entities in ~15 countries.
- Lead the selection, configuration, and rollout of the group's consolidation tool, benchmarking providers and making the method and design choices that will scale.
- Implement and maintain consolidation rules
- Handle multi-currency consolidation and FX differences across the entity perimeter.
- Evolve consolidation rules as the scope changes: new entities, new revenue streams, and new IFRS standards (i.e., IFRS 18).
- Navigate complex and evolving group structures across multiple countries and entities.
- Partner with the IFRS team and the broader Finance organization to deliver reliable consolidated figures each quarter.
- Document methods and choices so the consolidation framework stays auditable and transferable.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Solid IFRS consolidation experience, including business combinations, goodwill, intercompany eliminations and multi-currency translation.
- A background combining an audit firm and in-house consolidation, with the seniority to own the topic end-to-end.
- Comfortable building a consolidation function from scratch, with the appetite to set up rules, choose methods and pick tooling rather than inherit an existing setup.
- Strong enough technical grasp to evaluate and recommend consolidation methods and tools, with the trade-offs clearly in mind.
- Hands-on and detail-oriented, willing to dive into the figures and investigate reconciliation differences.
- Able to operate autonomously in an environment with an evolving scope (new entities, new revenue streams, changing standards).
- Fluent English; French is a plus.
WHAT WE OFFER
We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, growth, and work-life balance. Benefits vary by country and may include healthcare coverage, parental leave, retirement plans, relocation support, wellness programs, meal and transportation allowances, and other location-specific perks.

Provide technical guidance and review to more junior team members, supporting their development and the quality of their output
Work independently on ambiguous or complex problems, structuring your own approach and bringing solutions rather than questions

Work with the team to meet agreed service levels and deadlines, and fulfil additional duties as the business requires
Supporting Accounts Payable
Support approval of regular payment runs by the AP team.

Anthropic's international footprint is expanding rapidly — new entities, new markets, and commercial arrangements of unusual scale and novelty. The Tax team is hiring its first dedicated leader for US international tax reporting and compliance, a role that owns the US international components of our global income tax provision and our US international compliance program end to end, reporting to our global provision lead.
You will be the technical authority on how US international tax rules apply to a frontier AI company: modeling net CFC tested income (NCTI, formerly GILTI), the FDDEI (formerly FDII) deduction, BEAT, Subpart F, and foreign tax credits through the provision each quarter, and standing up a compliance process that scales with the company. This is a hands-on leadership role — you will build the calculations, the controls, and eventually the team, while partnering closely with Accounting, Treasury, Legal, and our Big 4 advisors.
Key responsibilities
Own the US international components of the quarterly and annual worldwide income tax provision: NCTI/GILTI, Subpart F, FDDEI/FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credit computations, Section 861 expense allocation and apportionment, E&P and PTEP tracking
Own outside basis difference analysis and indefinite reinvestment assertions under ASC 740-30, and US international aspects of valuation allowance and uncertain tax position assessments
Design and operate SOX controls over the international provision process and support the financial statement audit with our external auditors
Lead preparation and review of the US international tax return workpapers and forms — today Forms 5471, 8992, and 926, expanding to Forms 1118, 8858, 8865, 8991, and 8993 as the international footprint and tax profile grow — including elections, statements, and disclosures, working with our co-sourced Big 4 compliance provider
Support US withholding tax compliance (Forms 1042/1042-S) and cross-border payment analysis
Build a compliance calendar, data pipelines, and review procedures that keep pace with new entities and transactions; drive automation and tax technology adoption (including AI tooling)
Assist the tax planning and M&A teams on modeling the US international tax consequences of new market entry, entity structuring, intercompany and transfer pricing arrangements, financing, and M&A — from diligence through integration
Monitor and model legislative and regulatory developments (OBBBA implementation guidance, Pillar Two interaction with the US system) and model their provision and cash tax impacts for leadership
Manage outside advisors, support audit defense and controversy on US international issues, and mentor and develop tax team members
Minimum qualifications
Have substantial US international tax experience serving or working in multinational software and technology companies, with a combination of Big 4 public accounting and in-house corporate tax department experience
Have deep technical command of US international tax law — NCTI/GILTI, Subpart F, FDDEI/FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credits, E&P/PTEP, Section 861 allocation — and of ASC 740 as it applies to those items, including ASC 740-30 outside basis analysis

Hold a CPA and/or JD; a Master's in Taxation or LLM is a plus
Communicate complex technical positions clearly to auditors, executives, and non-tax partners, and are comfortable being the sole authority on your domain
Thrive in a high-growth, high-ambiguity environment where the fact pattern is often novel and the process has to be built, not inherited
Preferred qualifications

Hands-on experience with tax technology and an interest in applying AI tools to tax workflows
Pre-IPO readiness or public company reporting experience at a multinational software company
M&A experience spanning diligence, structuring, purchase accounting, and post-close integration

Are you interested in solving the puzzle of creating efficient and scalable high-level financial structures rather than just preparing documentation? Do you enjoy being a liaison between corporate finance and local government?
About JetBrains
We create intelligent software development tools for developers and teams. More than 15 million users, over 300,000 companies, and 88 of the Fortune Global Top 100 rely on our products to solve real, complex problems. This is a chance to shape and scale our financial processes, turning complex transactions into structured, transparent workflows that support JetBrains' long-term growth.
Day to day, you will:
Lead and coordinate holding-level accounting activities, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes.

Improve finance workflows, internal controls, and reporting systems to help our accounting processes scale.
What you’ll bring
A high level of ownership, reliability, and extreme attention to detail.
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, looking at changing environments as puzzles to solve, not obstacles.
Strong logical reasoning and the ability to explain complex accounting treatments clearly.
The independence to structure your own work, manage deadlines, and balance multiple priorities.
A collaborative mindset, with the ability to build trust and work effectively across diverse, international teams.
A focus on quality over quick fixes, valuing long-term system scalability and clean documentation.
What you’ll need
5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with substantial exposure to holding-company accounting.
Working knowledge of corporate income tax accounting and reporting, with experience supporting corporate income tax compliance, together with internal tax teams or external advisors.
Deep, practical knowledge of general ledger accounting, holding structures, and statutory reporting.
Strong understanding of Dutch statutory compliance requirements and accounting principles.
Proven experience preparing or coordinating statutory financial statements for legal entities in an international environment.
Solid experience operating within ERP-based systems (such as NetSuite) and managing complex spreadsheet analyses.
Fluent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with global team members.
What success looks like
First 3 months:
You will get familiar with our global holding structure and ERP setup, successfully taking ownership of your first month-end close cycle for holding entities.
First 6 months:
You will lead the preparation of statutory financial statements, establish a smooth operating rhythm with external auditors, and proactively identify areas where our intercompany reconciliations can be streamlined.
Long term:
You will help raise the bar for our financial governance, standardizing our holding-level accounting processes to make them highly transparent, automated, and scalable.

You'll join Rain's lean legal team and take a leading role in our M&A and corporate development efforts as we scale globally. What you'll do
- Lead M&A execution: manage all legal aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments from LOI through closing and post-closing integration, including due diligence coordination, deal structuring, and negotiation of definitive agreements.
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents: purchase agreements, merger agreements, and ancillary documents (escrow agreements, transition services agreements, employment and consulting agreements, IP assignments), plus board and stockholder consents.
- Coordinate due diligence: partner cross-functionally with Finance, Compliance, Risk, Product, and Engineering to identify and assess deal risks and structure appropriate protections.
- Advise on corporate structure and expansion: support entity formation and structuring for international expansion, working with local counsel as Rain enters new markets.
- Support regulatory approvals in M&A, including change-of-control filings with state regulators (e.g., money transmitter license transfers) or foreign financial authorities (e.g., EMI, VASP, or payment institution license approvals).
- Support general corporate matters, including drafting and negotiating intercompany agreements, advising on corporate structuring, and handling other corporate legal needs as they arise.
- Collaborate across the legal team: partner with colleagues focused on licensing, compliance, and regulatory matters to align corporate transactions with Rain's regulatory obligations and licensing requirements.
You are likely to succeed if you have:
- 4 to 8 years of experience in corporate law, with meaningful M&A transaction experience (law firm, in-house, or a combination).
- Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating acquisition agreements, investment documents, and related ancillary agreements.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, entity management, and Delaware corporate law.
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts for business stakeholders.
- Strong hands-on drafting skills, with the ability to handle a meaningful share of contract and transaction drafting in-house.
- A JD and admission to at least one U.S. state bar.
Bonus attributes:
- Ability to support corporate governance: maintain corporate records and entity management across Rain's global subsidiary structure.
- Ability to negotiate commercial contracts.
- Experience at a fintech, payments, crypto, or digital assets company.
- Familiarity with cross-border M&A or international entity structuring.
- Background in venture capital transactions (SAFEs, convertible notes, priced rounds).
- Experience working on inter-company agreements and corporate structuring.
- SEC reporting or compliance experience.

Anthropic's Finance Systems team builds and owns the infrastructure that powers our financial operations and drives the initiatives that scale the Finance function as the company grows. As our financial operations grow in complexity, the team is moving beyond configuring off-the-shelf platforms and into building the production-grade financial applications that no vendor has built for us yet.
You will own three things end to end:
The architecture: design the treasury technology platform and data foundation, make the sequencing and build-vs-buy calls, and get the foundation right so we don't rebuild it in two years.
The automation: turn Treasury's daily and monthly operating processes (cash positioning, cash flash reporting, forecasting, bank account management, payments) into tested, Claude-powered workflows that a lean team can run.
The ecosystem: figure out how treasury technology plugs into the broader Finance data lake, the ERP, our banks, and vendor systems, so treasury is a well-governed node in the company's data architecture and ecosystems rather than an island on its own.
You will be the bridge between the Treasury business owners and Finance Systems engineering, turning operational needs into a clear plan and driving it through to production.
This is a foundational leadership role with significant ownership over architecture, vendor, and tooling decisions. You will shape how Anthropic sees and forecasts its cash, with room to grow the team and your scope as the function matures.
In this role you will:
Architect the platform
Define the target-state architecture for treasury technology: the data foundation, the applications that sit on top of it, and how they connect
Design the treasury data foundation (models, tables, pipelines, governance) as the single source of truth for banking, cash, payments, and investment data
Lead the treasury management system build-vs-buy evaluation and own the resulting path - vendor selection and implementation, or the internal build
Sequence the multi-year roadmap so foundational work lands before the capabilities that depend on it, with minimal throwaway work
Automate key treasury processes
Own the product roadmap for daily cash positioning, cash and liquidity forecasting, cash flash and leadership reporting, bank account management, treasury intake, and payment workflows
Design and ship Claude-powered agents and dashboards that automate manual, error-prone treasury work, so a lean team can operate at scale
Partner with Treasury operators to turn their processes into clear product specs, success criteria, and delivery plans, then drive them through to production
Ensure everything we ship is auditable, controlled, and recoverable, with the rigor that SOX compliance demands as scope grows into controlled processes
Define the ecosystem
Align treasury data models and governance with the broader Finance data lake strategy so what we build now plugs in rather than gets rebuilt
Map and own the integration surface across banks, bank connectivity providers, TMS, ERP, and internal finance systems
Drive the technology agenda with our banking partners, TMS vendors, and connectivity providers tracking their technology roadmaps and partnering on emerging capabilities; partner internally with Accounting, FP&A, Internal Audit, and Data Engineering so treasury systems fit the company's control environment and architecture
Run the function; set direction for and unblock one to two finance systems engineers; review technical designs
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 10+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, or systems leadership in finance, treasury, or fintech
Have deep treasury domain knowledge, including cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, bank connectivity, cash pooling structures , or payment workflows
Have owned the architecture and platform decisions for an internal finance or data platform across multiple systems and vendors
Have a track record of shipping internal platforms or finance systems with an engineering team
Have led complex system design and infrastructure programs, and are comfortable owning architecture and platform decisions across multiple systems and vendors
Have led a system implementation (TMS, ERP module, or similar) or a material internal build from design through go-live
Are a strong stakeholder manager across Treasury, Finance, Engineering, Internal Audit (Risk and Compliance)and external vendors
Communicate clearly in writing and in the room, and can run a steering meeting or land a one-pager with executives
Thrive in environments where the roadmap, the systems, and the team all need to be built at the same time
Strong candidates may also have:
Direct experience with treasury management systems such as Kyriba, Quantum, Trovata, or similar as owner, administrator, or implementer
Experience integrating with banking APIs, payment rails, or bank connectivity providers
Experience with cash pooling structures, intercompany funding, or multi-entity treasury operations
Experience designing or overseeing finance data infrastructure (GCP/BigQuery or a comparable data warehouses, pipelines, reporting platforms) at a program level
Experience at a high-growth technology company navigating rapid revenue expansion or system consolidation
Built or product-managed AI/LLM-assisted workflows, agents, or Claude-powered automation for financial operations
A CTP, CFA, or comparable treasury/finance credential is a nice to have

Are you a tax professional who looks at complex global regulations and sees a puzzle to solve? Do you want to move past repetitive compliance checklists to build a global tax strategy from the ground up, owning your decisions in a place that values substance over corporate protocol?
About JetBrains
We create intelligent software development tools for developers and teams. More than 15 million users, over 300,000 companies, and 88 of the Fortune Global Top 100 rely on our products to solve real, complex problems. Our mission is simple: make development teams more productive and AI adoptable at scale.
What you’ll do
As our product reach grows and international tax laws shift, managing indirect tax requires deep context and real ownership. We are establishing a dedicated global indirect tax function to handle our footprint across multiple office locations and the dozens of countries where we sell products and host events.
In this role, you will act as the core expert shaping our global VAT, GST, US sales tax, and digital services tax strategies. Reporting to the Head of Group Tax, you will take full ownership of designing scalable compliance processes from scratch rather than just maintaining inherited workflows. You will collaborate directly with legal, procurement, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure our systems handle new commercial operations, like e-invoicing and real-time reporting mandates, smoothly. Your judgment will directly influence how JetBrains navigates changing legislation and mitigates financial risks worldwide.
Day to day, you will:
Lead global indirect tax operations, managing VAT, GST, digital services tax, US sales tax, consumption taxes, and customs duties across all global entities.
Design and implement end-to-end tax workflows for digital services, physical goods, employee benefits, and intercompany transactions.
Direct our response to ViDA, focusing on the deployment of electronic invoicing.
Oversee compliance lifecycles, coordinate registrations, and manage external service providers across international jurisdictions.
Evaluate and refine internal indirect tax controls and policies to support business growth.
Advise internal product and operational teams on the tax implications of new commercial initiatives.
Partner with technical teams to automate tax reporting and integrate compliance logic into our ERP systems.
Monitor international tax updates, assessing their impact and leading the necessary system changes.
Manage tax audits and direct communications with local tax authorities.
Train internal stakeholders across departments on indirect tax compliance practices.
What you’ll bring
A problem-solving mindset that turns complex regulatory ambiguity into structured, clear processes.
The autonomy to make decisions and full accountability for the results.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax implications in plain language to non-tax colleagues.
Cultural curiosity when working with cross-functional teams spanning different countries and backgrounds.
A commitment to quality that avoids quick fixes in favor of stable, long-term operational workflows.
What you’ll need
Comprehensive experience in international indirect taxation, blending advisory or consultancy work with in-house operations for an international corporation.
Deep technical command of international VAT frameworks, including EU VAT application rules.
A proven track record of designing tax workflows or adapting business systems to new regional tax legislations.
Experience managing cross-border tax audits and dealing directly with regulatory authorities.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
A practical understanding of tax automation tools and ERP system integrations.
What success looks like
Success means building a resilient global indirect tax function that keeps JetBrains ahead of international regulatory updates without stalling business momentum. You will earn the trust of leadership by translating shifting rules into reliable internal workflows, ensuring our e-invoicing and digital service operations remain compliant and fully integrated. Ultimately, you win when tax risks are minimized, internal stakeholders are unblocked, and our compliance processes scale invisibly alongside our products.
