The team and its impact
Accounting Core builds the foundations behind Xero’s accounting records, helping ensure that when a business records invoices, payments and other activity, its accounting stays accurate and dependable. You’ll help evolve a mature platform by decoupling key accounting capabilities from the mature architecture and creating safer, more scalable paths for change across areas such as invoices, payments, bank transactions and reconciliation.
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll own significant end-to-end initiatives from technical design through to production, helping decide how accounting capabilities can be separated from the monolith and evolved safely. You’ll stay hands-on in production code, work through trade-offs where accounting-data integrity and scalability matter, and collaborate closely with partner teams to ensure changes to the accounting engine support other Xero teams built on Accounting Core. You’ll also help raise engineering practices and quality standards as the Vancouver Accounting Core team continues to grow.
Technical Challenges:
- Decoupling a mature accounting platform: Help separate accounting capabilities from a monolith, creating clearer domain ownership and safer paths for change without compromising the integrity of the accounting record.
- Accounting correctness at scale: Design and evolve reliable services for critical financial data across areas such as invoices, payments, bank transactions and reconciliation.
- Shared foundations for product teams: Build capabilities and outputs that other Xero teams can rely on confidently, so they can deliver customer experiences without rebuilding core accounting foundations.
- Modernisation alongside delivery: Make incremental architectural improvements while continuing to deliver value for small businesses and their advisors.
Here are some of the things we are looking for
- Proven track record of delivering highly available, distributed systems and high-throughput services on cloud-native platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of significant work, from design through to rollout and production validation, including the technical decisions that come with it.
- You think carefully about architecture and trade-offs, from API design to choosing the right data store, and you balance speed, quality and long-term maintainability.
- Proficiency in a modern backend stack, such as Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, Ruby or C++, and you are keen to learn C# and .NET, where existing experience is a bonus.
- Passion for staying hands-on, contributing to production code and technical deep dives, and using AI tools with good judgement to move faster and raise the quality bar.
- A commitment to Go Together by mentoring peers, sharing technical knowledge and helping teammates grow through code reviews, pairing and documentation.
Where and how you can work
This role is based in our Vancouver office, where we embrace a hybrid working model. You will have the flexibility to work from home while joining the team in the office for "boost days" (1-2 days a week) to collaborate, socialize, and solve complex problems in person.
Our Hiring Process
1. TX phone screen: a conversation with your Talent Specialist about your background, motivations and the role.
2. Technical assessments: a coding assessment and systems design assessment, conducted virtually with real engineers, and based on real-world scenarios.
3. Technical deep dive: walk through a past project you owned end-to-end, covering how you thought about it, executed it and led through its complexity.
4. Values / Future Proof Xero: how you show up day to day, aligned with Xero's values and capabilities such as adaptability, ownership, customer thinking and AI fluency.
Compensation & Total Rewards
At Xero, we value the impact and skills you bring to the team. We believe in a Total Package philosophy - ensuring your value is recognized through a holistic lens that includes base salary, performance incentives, and world-class benefits.
The expected base salary range for this role is $155,000 - $205,000 CAD.
Individual pay is determined by various factors, including geography, level of experience, and the specific skills you bring to the role.
In addition to base pay, Xero’s roles are eligible for the following forms of variable compensation:
- Variable Pay: Permanent employees are eligible to participate in our annual bonus and equity (RSU) programs. You may also be eligible for performance-based cash or equity (RSUs) incentives depending on your role level, and company performance.
- Comprehensive Benefits: World-class health, wellness, and retirement programs. Xero Perks https://careers.xero.com/inside-xero/benefits-wellbeing/ including Wellbeing days, generous leave, and dedicated professional development budgets.
This is a posting for an existing vacancy.

The role and its impact
Payments Platform is one of Xero’s biggest areas of investment and growth - directly affecting how small businesses pay their people, buy supplies and take on their next opportunity. Here, we build the foundations for collecting and paying money through Xero, helping make payments simple, accurate and secure for customers while supporting multiple products, payment methods, providers and regions. You’ll help evolve a growing platform by building reusable, provider-agnostic capabilities across areas such as payment orchestration, provider integrations, onboarding, risk and compliance, reconciliation and bill payments.
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll own significant end-to-end initiatives from technical design through to production, helping decide how payment capabilities are designed, integrated and operated as the platform scales. You’ll stay hands-on in production code, work through trade-offs where customer simplicity, financial control, reliability and scalability matter, and collaborate closely with product and engineering partners to deliver payment experiences that are secure, trusted and easy to use. You’ll also help shape engineering practices and quality standards as the Vancouver Payments Platform team continues to grow.
Technical Challenges:
- A shared payments platform: Own a capability within the platform, such as orchestration, risk and fraud, or multi-provider support, and deliver it end-to-end. You'll be helping teams launch new payment products faster without rebuilding the same foundations.
- Global bill payments: Make a complex financial process feel simple for small businesses while keeping it accurate, secure and connected to the accounting record.
- High throughput at scale: Design and deliver reliable, secure distributed services that remain dependable under real-world production constraints, with the monitoring and operational readiness to support them.
- Customer impact alongside architectural progress: Improve existing systems in steps, delivering customer value quickly while contributing to a coherent long-term architecture.
- AI capabilities customers can trust: Apply AI to challenging product problems while protecting customer trust, and help evaluate those capabilities with the same discipline as the rest of your work.

- Vendor & Partner Management: Identify and orchestrate top-tier local partnerships and sponsorships.
REQUIREMENTS
- English and Mandarin Speaker.
- The "Owner" Mentality: Proven track record of delivering projects from start to finish and taking full accountability for the results.

- Chaos Compatibility: You enjoy a fast-paced environment and have the mental bandwidth to handle multiple complex workstreams without dropping the ball.
- The Growth Toolkit: Broad knowledge across performance marketing, data analysis, campaign execution, and event organization.
- Bias toward Action: You are a self-starter who doesn't wait for permission to experiment and scale.
- Strategic Instincts: Ability to understand our customer base and craft positioning that resonates with the Singapore market.

Founded in 2019, Linear has become the platform of choice for more than 40,000 companies (including OpenAI, Coinbase, and Ramp) to plan, build, and ship their products. Today, our team is distributed across North America, Europe, and Australia, and we’re continuing to grow internationally. What unites us is relentless focus, fast execution, and a deep care for software craftsmanship.
In this role, you will serve as the primary technical partner for our most strategic prospects and customers in the APAC region. You’ll play a dual role: driving complex technical engagements through end-to-end demos, migrations, and integrations, and accelerating ramp for new sales hires by codifying best practices. You will showcase our product’s value to prospects, uncover challenges and architect tailored solutions, drive successful sales evaluations, and champion customer needs internally.
Location & work mode
While Linear is a remote-first company across the US and Europe, this role in APAC is office based 2–3 days per week, as this role will be closely connected to in-person collaboration with our growing sales presence in the region.

- Collaborate with Sales Enablement to develop technical training materials, run “train-the-trainer” sessions for new hires, and curate a library of exemplar solution playbooks.
- Act as the go-to technical resource for high-priority accounts; work alongside Customer Success to resolve post-sale technical issues and drive adoption.
What we’re looking for
- 8+ years in a Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, or similar role at a high-growth SaaS company, with experience supporting enterprise-scale deals.
- Strong hands-on experience with OAuth2 and GraphQL, data migrations, and product integrations
- Excellent communication skills—able to present complex technical concepts clearly to both engineers and executives
- Experience with Github and git; Linear and/or Jira strongly preferred
- Proven ability to build realistic, scalable demo environments and troubleshoot production issues
- CS degree or engineering background strongly preferred
- Collaborative mindset with experience partnering across Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams
- Comfort with SQL and scripting (e.g., Python or JavaScript)
What we offer
We're a small, focused team that cares deeply about the quality of our work and the people we do it with. Here's what you can expect:
- Competitive salary and equity
- Employee-friendly equity terms including early exercise in the US and extended exercise windows
- Daily meal and coffee stipend on every workday
- Paid co-working space or desk
- Health coverage (based on country requirements)
- 5 weeks paid vacation, plus local statutory holidays
- 4 months paid parental leave
- Paid month off after 4 years & every 2 years thereafter
- Regular team events and off-sites

About Higgsfield
http://higgsfield.ai/Higgsfield.ai http://Higgsfield.ai is the fastest-growing generative AI platform in the world. Creators use Higgsfield to produce video, images and interactive content with 200+ frontier models, at a scale few consumer products ever reach: we grew revenue 2x in the last quarter and crossed $1B in annualized cash revenue in September 2026.
We recently closed a $500M funding round at a $5B valuation to accelerate what’s working. The company is small relative to its revenue, decisions are fast, and the distance between an idea and production is measured in days.
About the role
You will join the Product Growth team, which owns all of Higgsfield’s revenue and measures its results in money, not process. Product Growth is the fastest-shipping team at Higgsfield, with 80+ releases a month. You will own one of our verticals, Lifecycle, with end-to-end ownership of conversion, retention and engagement: turning new users into paying subscribers, paying subscribers into habitual users, and consumers into prosumers.
We are looking for a PM who treats growth as an engineering problem, not a campaign calendar. You should be comfortable going from cohort data to shipped product in the same week, defending every claimed win with honest attribution, and understanding the full picture behind the numbers: why users buy, why they leave, and what brings them back. This is a hands-on role with direct impact on the largest line items in the business, where small mistakes are expensive.
Key responsibilities
- Own conversion and activation: onboarding flows, paywalls, aha-moment design and time-to-first-value.
- Build engagement systems and in-product communication: tasks, streaks, rewards and notifications that create durable habits rather than one-off spikes.
- Own churn end-to-end: voluntary churn (cancellation flows, save offers, plan right-sizing) and involuntary churn (dunning, payment recovery, grace periods).
- Run winback as a system: offer architecture, timing and channel orchestration for cancelled and dormant cohorts.
- Drive expansion and additional revenue: upsells, plan upgrades and credit top-ups from engaged cohorts.
- Go deep on users and data: behavioral segmentation, cohort deep-dives and insights that feed every team in Product Growth.
- Work closely with analysts: set clear analytical tasks, find insights in the data and turn them into product decisions.
- Look beyond a single metric: understand unit economics and how each change affects the business as a whole.
Minimum qualifications
- A proven, personal contribution to scaling a business. You can name the curve you bent and the mechanism that bent it. Big-company experience alone is not enough.
- A track record of owning conversion, retention, engagement or monetization metrics, ideally in a subscription business.
- Strong data skills: cohorts, retention curves, segmentation. You can build your own queries and know how to work with analysts effectively.
- Hands-on experience with unit economics and shaping business strategy. You work end-to-end, from forming a hypothesis to forecasting its impact on the business.
- Measurement discipline: frequent experiments, honest attribution and guard metrics.
- Fast thinking: you get up to speed on new context quickly and come to concrete answers, not general frameworks.
- A technical background is not required for this role.
Preferred qualifications
- Founding or entrepreneurial experience. We value it even if you have less than 2–3 years as a PM.
- Zero-to-one experience: you have launched a product and grown it.
- A track record of at least 4x year-over-year growth driven by your decisions.
- Background in consumer AI, subscriptions, gaming or a credits-based economy.
- Experience with payments, payment recovery tooling or CRM/lifecycle platforms.
Who this is not for
- You prefer working from complete specifications rather than defining problems yourself.
- You want a narrow, predictable scope and a stable schedule.
- You are looking for a slower release cycle. We ship daily.
How we hire
Recruiter screen → product case → take-home assignment → defense → final interview.
During the case, you’ll get context and around 10–15 minutes to give a concrete answer. We’re looking for specific solutions, not general reasoning.
What we offer
- Competitive compensation in USD with meaningful equity in a hyper-growth company valued at $5B.
- A team that owns its P&L end-to-end: you will see your work in the revenue numbers within weeks, not quarters.
- Direct access to founders and leadership, with zero layers between you and the decision.
- Relocation support to Almaty for candidates moving from another city or country.
- Company-provided equipment, meals, transportation or other office benefits.
This is a fully on-site role based in our Almaty office. Our team works from the office five days per week for the full working day. We believe in-person collaboration is an important part of how we move quickly, solve complex problems and build strong teams.
