Location: Remote; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA Workplace: Remote We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science. We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world. World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached. Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you. You’ll work directly with the HR Manager as a strategic partner, and you’ll have the autonomy to make decisions, set priorities and fix what’s broken without waiting to be asked. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide. There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. The range shared below is a general expectation for the function as posted, but we are also open to considering candidates who may be more or less experienced than outlined in the job description. In this case, we will communicate any updates in the expected salary range. Location: New York Workplace: OnSite ABOUT US: AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL. Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now. Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale. We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation. Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience. THE ROLE: We're looking for a Legal Operations Lead to join us as the first dedicated legal operations hire at Modal. You'll own the systems, records, and workflows that let a small legal team keep pace with a high-growth tech company — and you'll have an opportunity to build most of them from scratch. This is a great fit for a highly organized, systems-oriented operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to build operational foundations, not just maintain them. You'll report to our General Counsel and collaborate closely with the Finance, BizOps, GTM, and People teams. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: - Build and maintain contract operations, including designing the contract lifecycle management workflows and approval logic, and continuing to iterate and improve those processes - Design legal intake process to support and route legal requests from internal stakeholders - Make the legal function faster with AI and build and configure tooling to make us more efficient - Manage corporate administration and record-keeping, including Board and stockholder matters, signature coordination, and building a knowledge management system and database - Be the point person for corporate compliance, including entity management and filings, including foreign and domestic qualifications and filings and coordinate with registered agents - Support stock administration and cap table hygiene - Manage outside counsel and legal spend REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years in legal operations, contract operations, or a corporate paralegal role, preferably at a high-growth technology company - Demonstrated ability to build and document processes from the ground up, not just execute existing ones - Experience configuring workflows and templates within Ironclad or a similar CLM - Experience with AI tools, and good instincts about where they help and where they quietly introduce risk - Sound judgment about what to handle and what to escalate BONUS: - Exposure to corporate and equity administration; familiarity with Carta or a similar equity administration platform

Location: New York, NY (HQ); San Francisco, CA; Remote (US) Workplace: Hybrid ABOUT RAMP Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving. We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome. The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it. ABOUT THE ROLE Ramp needs a highly organized operator to make immigration and mobility work feel clear, responsive, and scalable. This role will spend roughly half its time coordinating active cases and employee communications in tandem with an external counsel program with embedded services, and half building the workflows, dashboards, AI tools, and operational infrastructure that reduce manual work. The Associate will operate within established policies, escalate legal or non-standard issues promptly, and streamline operations for scale. WHAT YOU'LL DO CASE COORDINATION AND EMPLOYEE SERVICE (~50%) - Coordinate active immigration, work-authorization, relocation, and business-travel cases with employees, external counsel, vendors, and internal partners. - Maintain accurate case trackers, deadlines, required documents, status updates, and handoffs from intake through completion. - Give employees timely, compassionate, plain-language process updates; route legal questions, pathway decisions, and exceptions to counsel or the Lead. - Surface cases at risk early and ensure the right owner has a clear next action. - Support our external counsel’s embedded services by providing dependable operational support, case updates, and guidance within approved policies. WORKFLOW, AI, AND OPERATIONS (~50%) - Build and maintain centralized workflows, intake forms, templates, knowledge resources, and AI-enabled tools that streamline routine work. - Own the immigration and mobility case tracker and dashboard: data quality, reporting, aging cases, key dates, operational metrics, and risk visibility. - Turn recurring employee and stakeholder questions into approved self-service content and consistent communication templates. - Test and document tools and automations with appropriate privacy, data-quality, and human-escalation controls. - Identify recurring friction in cases, handoffs, and vendor interactions; bring specific improvement recommendations to the Lead. PROGRAM AND VENDOR SUPPORT - Prepare case trends, SLA performance, employee feedback, and unresolved risks for vendor/counsel meetings and QBRs. - Follow through on vendor commitments and escalate missed deadlines, unclear ownership, and repeat quality issues. - Keep playbooks, templates, and operational documentation current; help build team coverage and continuity. WHAT YOU NEED - 3+ years in People Operations, immigration operations, global mobility, employee lifecycle operations, or another high-detail service environment. - Strong process-management skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to manage many deadlines without dropping follow-through. - Hands-on experience improving a workflow with AI, automation, spreadsheets, dashboards, ticketing, or related tools. - Clear, empathetic written communication and sound discretion with sensitive employee information. - Comfort working within defined policies, recognizing risk, and escalating promptly. NICE TO HAVE - Experience coordinating immigration, work authorization, relocation, or external counsel/vendor workflows. - Experience building employee-facing guides, operational dashboards, or self-service tools. - Familiarity with UK, Canada, or broader international employment processes. BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO ALL FULL-TIME RAMP EMPLOYEES (GLOBAL) - Flexible PTO - Centralized home-office equipment ordering - Health and wellness stipend - Budget for intra-office travel - Weekly coffee stipend UNITED STATES - 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you, with partial coverage for dependents - One Medical annual membership - 401(k), including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp - Fertility HRA (up to $10,000 per year) - Parental leave: up to 16 weeks (birthing + bonding) or 8 weeks (bonding only) at 100% pay - Pet insurance - In-office perks: lunch, snacks, drinks, and more - Relocation expense coverage to NYC or SF (if needed) CANADA - Group medical, dental, and vision coverage through Sun Life - Life, AD&D, and disability coverage - Fertility drug coverage (up to $4,000 lifetime) - Group Retirement Plan with employer match (RRSP + DPSP) - Parental leave: up to 16 weeks (birthing + bonding) or 8 weeks (bonding only) at 100% pay, with additional time available at reduced pay - Employee Assistance Program and virtual care through Lumino Health UNITED KINGDOM - Private medical insurance through Freedom Elite - Virtual GP and at-home care via eMed x Livi - Workplace pension through Penfold, with salary sacrifice option - Parental leave: up to 16 weeks (birthing + bonding) or 8 weeks (bonding only) at 100% pay with additional time available at reduced pay REFERRAL INSTRUCTIONS If you are being referred for the role, please contact that person to apply on your behalf. Location: Remote About GiveDirectly What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need? Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid. Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question: is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty? We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join. We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress. How we work Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated: Recipients first. Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves. Team next. We optimize for organizational success, not individual success. Be proactively candid. We say what we believe and share information openly. Create positive energy. We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain. Think rigorously; act quickly. We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate. Know yourself and grow. We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow. Accept reality. Propose solutions. We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems. Be productively ambitious. We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress. If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit. Want to learn more? Read and listen: We are one of Time100’s Most Influential Companies of 2026, and our work has been covered by The Economist , NPR , TED , and The Washington Post . We're now preparing to deliver billions of dollars a year to people in extreme poverty, if funding allows. Read our CEO's essay on what that will take. About this role GiveDirectly has delivered more than $1B in cash directly to more than 2 million people living in poverty across 15 countries. We believe cash transfers are one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid, with the research to back it up. We are growing at an unprecedented scale. By the end of 2027, we will have more than tripled dollars delivered via our current playbook to $750M+, while building toward a step-change of roughly 10x on a new technology stack and operating model. We also believe that we could deliver significant incremental money through external partnerships, whether by sourcing verified lists from an institutional partner like UNHCR, subgranting to partners with existing distribution capacity, or routing funds directly through an established remittance provider. To evaluate and advance these external opportunities to increase our delivery capacity, we are building a lean internal consulting team. In this role, you will work with high autonomy to elaborate a comprehensive set of options and rigorously evaluate, prioritize, and implement them. You will report to the Chief of Staff and work directly with our Executive team, Country Directors, and external partners. The work is in an early stage, the mandate is wide, and the recommendations you make have the potential to influence delivery of hundreds of millions of dollars. This role is especially well suited to structured problem-solvers with Director or Team Lead-level experience in consulting, strategy, or operations, in business or social impact contexts. This role is funded through the end of 2027, deliberately matched to the window in which these decisions need to be made. We see a strong case for it to become a permanent function beyond that. What you'll do Build and prioritize a portfolio of options . Generate a comprehensive set of external pathways to increase delivery capacity, from institutional data partnerships to outsourced delivery to telco and payment provider arrangements, and rank them on scale, speed, feasibility, and what it would cost us to pursue them. Pressure test opportunities to a clear verdict . Run primary diligence on the options that warrant it, including direct engagement with potential partners, regulators, and counsel, and reach a defensible recommendation to advance or stop. Advance one or two priorities from evaluation into implementation . Take the opportunities we select from recommendation through to a live pilot, holding the counterparty relationship and coordinating the cross-functional internal work required to deliver. Define and run competitive solicitations . Articulate what we need from a partner precisely enough to publish an RFP (or similar), set selection criteria, and manage and evaluate the responses. Negotiate with institutional counterparties . Lead engagement with UN agencies, INGOs, mobile network operators, and government bodies, from first contact through to signed agreement. Equip Executive decision-making . Produce the analysis and written recommendations that let the Executive team decide where to commit money and capacity. What we're looking for A driven, disciplined explorer of unfamiliar territory. You have personally taken a mandate as broad as "find us more ways to deliver” and turned it into a short list of options you pressure tested until you arrived at a recommendation. You translate ambiguous ideas into clear strategies with milestones and success metrics. You have done this with no playbook and no team assigned to you. Your work influenced high-stakes strategic decisions. Strong analytical instincts. You are adept at using data to generate insights and drive decision-making. You can build comparable estimates for structurally different options, and show what would have to be true for each one to work. A negotiator who uses leverage intelligently. You can assess what an institution's incentives and compliance requirements will allow. You position opportunities for collaboration shrewdly, distinguish a difficult but workable partnership from one that will not advance, and judge when to persist, change your approach, or walk away. A clear, direct communicator. You cut through complexity and influence senior stakeholders with concise, well-structured thinking. Your recommendations lead with what you think we should do, name the assumptions they depend on, and state what further work would test them. Embody and set an example for GD values. We take our values incredibly seriously, and expect the people who represent us externally to embody them in all aspects of their work. Additional areas we’re interested in, though not required Experience with humanitarian or institutional donors, particularly UN agencies and INGO consortia; mobile money, telco, or payments partnerships; grantmaking, organizational due diligence, or cost-effectiveness assessments; running challenge funds or competitive solicitations; negotiating data-sharing and data-protection agreements; and operating in low-income or infrastructure-constrained markets. Compensation The salaries shown below represent annual rates for our common hiring locations. This is a term-limited role through December 2027, so the figure reflects the annualized pay rate, not a guaranteed total over the term. The figure below is also based on external & internal benchmarks, but will be ultimately approved by the hiring manager. If candidates are not located in the US, UK, or Kenya, the hiring manager can provide compensation information during the initial screening. United States Base salary: $131,250 per year Benefits stipend: $21,393 per year Bonus target: 15% United Kingdom Base salary: £91,900 Benefits stipend: £2,760.00 Bonus target: 15% Kenya Base salary: $106,280 Benefits stipend: $8,454 Bonus target: 15% Working at GiveDirectly GiveDirectly is an Equal Opportunity Employer. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it. ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Senior Corporate Paralegal to join Ramp's Legal team and own the operational backbone of how we govern and structure the company. Ramp runs a growing portfolio of U.S. and non-U.S. entities — including regulated and licensed subsidiaries — across a business that ships constantly and raises, acquires, and expands on short notice. You will be the person who keeps that machinery accurate, current, and audit-ready. This is a broad generalist role. You'll sit at the center of corporate governance, entity management, equity administration, and litigation/employment and you'll partner directly with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Compliance, Equity Admin, and People, and outside counsel. We are a small, high-leverage team supporting a company that moves quickly, so you'll cover a lot of ground and be trusted to run matters independently. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Corporate governance: Prepare board and stockholder meeting materials, agendas, minutes, written consents, resolutions, secretary's certificates, and incumbency certificates. Track and calendar governance obligations across the entity portfolio. - Entity management: Own the full lifecycle of entity administration — formations and dissolutions, foreign qualifications, annual reports, franchise tax filings, registered agent management, signatories, officer and director lists, post-integration cleanup. - KYC, UBO, and diligence: Respond to KYC/UBO and diligence requests from bank partners, regulators, auditors, insurers, and counterparties, and build reusable packages. - Equity support: Support equity administration, option and RSU grants, board approvals of equity awards, secondaries, and equity plan recordkeeping in partnership with Finance and People. - Transaction support: Run diligence support, signature collection, closing checklists, closing binders, and post-closing obligations for financings, credit facilities, M&A, real estate, and insurance renewals. - Commercial and cross-functional support: Assist with powers of attorney, delegations of authority, and corporate approvals needed by the business. - Employment support: Support employment- and immigration-related requests and filings. - Litigation support: Support subpoena and law enforcement requests, legal holds, e-discovery, and document production. Review and respond to garnishment orders and UCC liens. Serve as Ramp’s custodian of records and as Ramp’s representative in small claims court cases. WHAT YOU NEED - 6+ years of corporate paralegal experience at a major law firm and/or in-house at a high-growth technology or financial services company. - Deep working knowledge of corporate governance, entity formation and maintenance, corporate recordkeeping, and secretary's office functions. - Excellent drafting skills across resolutions, consents, certificates, and corporate documentation, with genuine precision — you catch the wrong entity name, the stale date, and the missing signature block. - Demonstrated ability to independently run multiple time-sensitive workstreams without dropping threads or waiting to be asked. - Strong written and verbal communication skills and the judgment to work directly with executives, board members, outside counsel, and cross-functional partners. - Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and processes are still being built — and a bias toward action. - High judgment around confidential and sensitive corporate information. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. NICE TO HAVE - Experience at a fintech, payments, or regulated financial services company, including support for licensed entities (money transmitter, EMI, or similar). - Experience supporting venture financings, secondaries, M&A integration, or IPO readiness. - International entity management experience across EMEA, APAC, LATAM, or Canada. - Experience with equity administration and cap table platforms (e.g., Shareworks). - Experiencing with litigation or employment matters. - Notary Public commission (NY or CA), or willingness to obtain one. - ABA-approved paralegal certificate. - A track record of using AI or automation to eliminate manual legal work. Reports to: Vice President, Partnerships Level: Director (we are open to hiring at Senior Director level for more experienced candidates) Role overview GiveDirectly intends to transfer $10B by 2035 while building a resilient, durable cash-first movement in the aid sector. To reach this milestone, we have brought all fundraising efforts under one leadership, to enable better coordination and optimisation of fundraising streams and operations over time. This unified approach is building a high-performance fundraising team that identifies and secures high-quality leads, while standardizing revenue operations and knowledge-sharing across all verticals, enabling a better donor experience and securing long-term funding to achieve our goals of eliminating extreme poverty and responding better in crisis. The Director/Senior Director, Revenue Operations will own the operating backbone of the Fundraising function: the data, systems, and processes that let Partnerships, Philanthropy, Individual Giving, and Special Projects run at scale. As we grow our Emergency Cash and US work alongside our work on ending extreme poverty, the candidate will also help ensure fundraising strategies are complementary rather than competing. This is a BizOps-first role. You will build the pipeline infrastructure, KPI architecture, and operating rhythms that make Fundraising's growth predictable and measurable, and you will represent Fundraising to Finance, Compliance, Grants Management, and the People team. Alongside this, the role carries a chief-of-staff dimension: partnering with the Vice President of Partnership on strategic priorities, high-stakes internal and external communications, and organizational change management, so the VP's time is focused on the highest-impact work. Depending on the skills and interests of the person we hire, this role may grow to manage a team of 3-5, covering some combination of: fundraising tech and data (e.g. Salesforce), donor experience, and knowledge management. Reflecting our "Team Next" value and commitment to organizational excellence, this person will drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure fundraising operations scale seamlessly alongside our global growth. Key responsibilities Own Fundraising's revenue operations: data, systems, and process (primary focus) Build and own the strategic data and systems architecture for Fundraising: pipeline tracking, annual and in-year forecasting, and reporting infrastructure (e.g. Salesforce) that gives every vertical a single, trustworthy source of truth. Define, standardize, and own tracking of fit-for-purpose Fundraising KPIs, aligned to Board reporting needs and the team's long-term strategic direction. Partner with counterparts on Fundraising Data and Tech to prioritize, execute, and approve projects that serve both functions. Design and institutionalize the operating rhythms of the Fundraising function: pipeline reviews, QBRs, reporting cadences, and the processes that turn strategy into consistent execution. Develop revenue systems and processes alongside the Finance, Fundraising and Donor Experience teams that support scalable growth, protect donor journeys, and ensure capital moves securely and efficiently through the organization. Own revenue reconciliation and recognition, pledge and receivable tracking, restricted-fund coding, monthly/annual close handoff, or audit support. Own workforce and capacity planning for Fundraising in partnership with the VP: role scoping, hiring prioritization, and structural improvements as the team scales. Build and lead a team as the function matures As the role grows, manage a team of 3-5 covering fundraising tech and data (e.g. Salesforce), donor experience, and knowledge management, setting priorities, coaching, and ensuring quality across each area. Set clear ownership and operating cadences across the team so each workstream (tech and data, donor experience, knowledge management) has a defined remit and reduces duplicated effort across Fundraising verticals. Act as the go-to liaison between Fundraising and other functions Maintain a comprehensive view of Fundraising needs across all verticals and sub-teams, and act as the single point of contact for Grants Management, Finance, and Compliance on run-rate donor management processes. Represent Fundraising's operational needs to the People team, Legal, and other functions as cross-functional systems and initiatives are designed and launched. Partner with the VP on strategy and organizational effectiveness (chief-of-staff functions) Collaborate with the Vice President to refine the unit's strategy, manage organizational change, and lead internal communications. Streamline decision-making, manage priorities, and provide strategic counsel to maximize the VP's focus and effectiveness on high-impact work. Prepare briefing materials and executive-level communications for senior leadership and Board audiences as needed. Lead on cross-fundraising initiatives and priorities Address broader organizational priorities as needed, including high-level donor stewardship coordination, cross-functional system launches, flexible workforce planning, or market expansion initiatives. This role would suit somebody who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, who is energized by building systems and structure out of ambiguity, and who enjoys pulling together disparate workstreams into a cohesive, impactful strategy. It's a strong fit for someone with a business operations, revenue operations, or chief-of-staff background who wants a role weighted toward building and owning systems (and, over time, building a team) rather than one focused primarily on executive support. What we're looking for 8+ years of experience in revenue operations, business operations, or a chief-of-staff role, ideally within a fundraising, sales, or partnerships organization. Demonstrated experience building or owning CRM/pipeline systems (e.g. Salesforce), KPI frameworks, and reporting infrastructure that multiple teams rely on. Strong analytical operator: comfortable structuring ambiguity, setting priorities, and using data to drive decisions. An advanced degree (e.g. MBA) is a plus, not a requirement. Proven track record managing cross-functional relationships and influencing senior stakeholders outside a direct reporting line. Experience managing people or workstreams, with the ability to scope roles and structure as a function grows; direct people management experience is a plus given this role may build and lead a team of 3-5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for high-stakes internal and Board-facing materials. Deep alignment with GiveDirectly's values, especially recipient choice, transparency, and evidence. Bonus Experience working with institutional donors or fundraising teams in Africa. Experience standing up a BizOps or RevOps function from scratch, including building out a team across tech and data, donor experience, and knowledge management. Compensation At GiveDirectly, we strive to pay our employees generously and equitably. We use an accredited third party salary aggregator to calculate what we believe to be competitive pay based on role, location, and cost of living. Location: New York, NY (HQ) Workplace: Hybrid ABOUT RAMP Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. ABOUT THE ROLE Ramp needs a senior immigration and mobility expert to build the policies, operating model, and trusted guidance that support global growth. This person will be Ramp's internal subject-matter expert and work closely alongside external counsel to translate current immigration law, policy, and business needs into clear, consistent decisions. They will set program direction, hold vendors accountable, guide difficult cases, and give employees and cross-functional partners the rationale behind high-stakes decisions. WHAT YOU'LL DO IMMIGRATION PROGRAM AND POLICY LEADERSHIP - Own and continuously refine Ramp's immigration, sponsorship, business-travel, and relocation policies, including eligibility, cost coverage, exceptions, and service standards. - Stay current on relevant immigration laws, policy changes, and market practices; assess their impact on Ramp and recommend program updates. - Develop practical decision frameworks for common pathways and scenarios— including travel timing, filing approach. - Explain the rationale behind policies and visa-pathway recommendations in plain language, building trust with employees, managers, Recruiting, and other partners. - Partner closely with external counsel on complex, precedent-setting, or white-glove cases; know when to seek legal advice and ensure Ramp makes timely operational decisions. VENDOR AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP - Own the strategy and operating cadence with immigration counsel and relocation vendors, including selection, SLAs, escalation paths, QBRs, and performance improvement. - Serve as Ramp's practical voice of reason for cross-functional stakeholders (HR, legal, recruiters, etc.), balancing employee experience, business urgency, consistency, cost, and compliance risk. - Partner with Legal, Finance, Payroll, Tax, Recruiting, Compensation, People Partners, IT, and Workplace on sponsorship decisions, relocations, and new-country employment. - Build repeatable playbooks for country entry, relocations, and high-impact hiring so stakeholders know the decision maker, dependencies, timeline, and escalation route. PROGRAM SCALE AND TEAM LEADERSHIP - Set the function's roadmap, risk reporting, core metrics, and communication standards. - Personally lead the most sensitive or complex cases and coach the Associate on judgment, prioritization, employee communication, and escalation. - Turn recurring case patterns into better policy, vendor accountability, self-service guidance, and automation priorities. WHAT YOU NEED - 8+ years in corporate immigration, global mobility, international People Operations, or a closely related field; deep U.S. immigration expertise strongly preferred. - Current working knowledge of immigration pathways, filing considerations, and policy changes, with sound judgment about when counsel must advise. - Experience owning program policy, managing outside counsel/vendors, and influencing decisions with senior cross-functional stakeholders. - A record of building scalable programs in a high-growth or global environment. - Exceptional, empathetic communication and the ability to explain complex requirements clearly without giving legal advice. NICE-TO-HAVES - UK, Canada, EU, APAC, or LatAm mobility/immigration experience. - New-country employment or global expansion experience. - Experience managing or mentoring an operations teammate.
