From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.

Aptos is a people-first blockchain on a mission to help billions of people achieve universal and fair access to decentralized assets in a safe and scalable way.
Founded by some of the original creators and maintainers that researched, designed, and built the Diem blockchain to serve this purpose, we have dedicated several years toward this mission. This role sits in our Palo Alto, CA or New York, NY office.

Leading initiatives to design, build, and optimize backend services and platform infrastructure for the Aptos blockchain
Developing scalable APIs, indexing services, and data pipelines to support blockchain data access
Building and maintaining infrastructure for node operations, monitoring, and observability
Building and maintaining SDKs, libraries, and developer tools
Writing clean, performant, well-tested, and production-ready code
Collaborating closely with protocol engineers, infrastructure teams, and product engineers
What you bring:
5+ years of experience building and shipping scalable backend systems
Strong experience building backend systems in languages such as Rust, Go, C++, Java, Python, or similar
Deep understanding of systems programming concepts
Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases, and API design
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Experience with blockchain infrastructure, indexing, or node operations (a plus)

We're looking for a Senior Python Developer to join the Platform team and take ownership of core backend systems powering Aghanim — a direct-to-consumer (DTC) platform that helps mobile game developers monetize outside app stores. We act as a Merchant of Record, handling payments, compliance, and taxation across 200+ territories, while providing game studios with tools for LiveOps automation, player segmentation, and community engagement.
The codebase follows domain-driven design with 60+ business domains, strict code quality standards, and AI-assisted development as a standard part of the workflow. You'll work across a modern Python stack — Python 3.13+, FastAPI, Pydantic — with a heavy integration layer connecting game backends, and external services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Backend Architecture and Development
- Design, build, and own backend systems end-to-end
- Drive architecture and key technical decisions
- Build APIs, integrations, and scalable backend services
Data, Infrastructure, and Reliability
- Design reliable and scalable data and infrastructure foundations
- Own performance and availability against concrete SLOs (thousands of requests per second at p95 latency under 200ms, with a 99.99% uptime target)
- Diagnose, investigate, and solve complex operational issues
Cross-functional Collaboration and Leadership
- Work closely with product and engineering to deliver business impact
- Raise the engineering bar through reviews, mentorship, and technical leadership
- Take ownership of ambiguous problems and drive them to completion
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years building production backend systems in Python
- Strong experience with FastAPI or similar modern backend frameworks
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, integrations, and asynchronous architectures
- Strong PostgreSQL and Redis experience
- Experience with NoSQL, distributed, and analytical data stores
- Solid software architecture and system design skills
- Experience operating and scaling high-load systems in production
- High ownership, strong execution, and ability to work independently
- Confident use of AI-assisted development tools with strong validation and engineering judgment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Google Cloud Platform
- Event-driven architectures and background processing systems
- High-scale, multi-tenant, or transaction-heavy platforms
- Gaming, fintech, e-commerce, or payments experience

- Autonomy and ownership – we trust people to make decisions, take initiative, and drive results
- Modern tools and technology – use AI, automation, and modern tools as part of your everyday work
- Equity – participate in the company's growth and long-term success
