How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We believe powerful AI can compress a century of scientific progress into a decade. Claude Science is a big part of building toward that future.
Claude Science is an AI workbench that gives researchers a single environment for work that today spans dozens of disconnected tools — literature, specialized databases, scientific computing, analysis, and publication-ready outputs. Claude Science already renders protein structures, genome tracks, and chemical structures natively, and coordinates multi-agent workflows with built-in review for citation and calculation errors — and we're just getting started. Much of this is being built 0→1 right now, in a category no one has defined yet.
We're growing the Claude Science product team. As a Product Manager on Claude Science, you will own a major area of the roadmap end to end — think expanding into new scientific fields, landing new model capabilities with researchers, or making the workbench ready for enterprise R&D teams — and help shape the overall product direction alongside the rest of the team. You'll spend real time with researchers in academic labs, biotech and pharma R&D, and research institutes to understand how science actually gets done — from hypothesis to analysis to publication and beyond— and turn what you learn into shipped product. You'll partner directly with our research teams to make the models better at science, help decide which fields and workflows we go after next, and shape what it takes for Claude Science to be trusted in enterprise and regulated research environments.
We're looking for experienced product managers and founders with real scientific or technical depth: people who can hold their own in a conversation with a structural biologist or a computational chemist, get in the weeds of model transcripts and evals, and still zoom out to help define a product category. You thrive in ambiguity, uncover non-obvious use cases for nascent capabilities, and bring those insights back to research.
Our north star is for Claude Science to accelerate scientific progress — across biology, chemistry, physics, and beyond — from early discovery through real-world application, by an order of magnitude.
Key responsibilities
Own vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for a major area of Claude Science, and contribute to overall product direction in a category that is still being defined
Spend meaningful time with working scientists — in interviews, working sessions, and key customer conversations — and synthesize what you learn into clear priorities, requirements, and success metrics
Partner with research to make Claude better at science: define target behaviors, build and shape evals grounded in real scientific workflows, surface failure modes from real usage, and feed them back into model development
Drive model and feature launches in your area end to end: define readiness criteria, coordinate across research, engineering, design, and go-to-market, run early access programs, and make sure launches land well with researchers
Identify which scientific domains, data sources, tools, and integrations Claude Science should support next, and build the case with evidence from users, usage data, and the broader landscape
Prototype ideas yourself with Claude to validate them before committing engineering time
Work with safeguards, policy, security, and go-to-market partners so that powerful scientific capabilities reach trusted researchers responsibly, including in enterprise and regulated research settings
Drive enterprise readiness — security and compliance reviews, admin and deployment controls, and the procurement realities of pharma and biotech — so large organizations can adopt it with confidence
Prioritize ruthlessly across a broad surface — scientific domains, customer segments, and competing workflows — and make clear calls on what our products serve deeply first, holding the line on MVP versus ideal state
Define how success is measured for AI research and development products — adoption and retention among working scientists and operators, time-to-result on real analyses, trust in outputs — and use those measures to steer planning
Maintain an objective, current view of the AI-for-science ecosystem — models, tools, benchmarks, and competitors — and of where Claude Science stands within it
Minimum qualifications
Have product management experience shipping technical products in close partnership with engineering and design, or equivalent experience driving product direction as a founder, engineer, or scientist
Have a scientific or deeply technical background — enough to reason with domain experts about their workflows and to diagnose where and why a model is falling short on a scientific task
Have a strong grasp of AI and LLM concepts, use AI tools daily, and are comfortable going deep on model behavior, prompting, and evaluation methodology
Are data-driven: you ground prioritization in usage data, eval results, and evidence from users rather than intuition alone
Have strong user empathy and can synthesize vague or contradictory feedback from expert users into actionable priorities
Navigate and execute amid ambiguity as a first-principles thinker, flexing across scientific domains based on the problem at hand and finding simple, easy-to-understand solutions
Communicate clearly in writing and can align research, engineering, and go-to-market stakeholders through influence rather than authority
Think carefully and creatively about the risks and benefits of putting frontier scientific capabilities into the world, beyond past checklists and playbooks
Preferred qualifications
8+ years in product management or equivalent product leadership, including taking products from 0 to 1 and scaling them; founder experience is a plus
An advanced degree or hands-on research experience in biology, chemistry, physics, materials science, or a related field — or experience building software for scientists (e.g., computational biology, cheminformatics, lab informatics, simulation, or scientific data platforms)
Have personally built evals or benchmarks for model capabilities, ideally agentic or scientific ones
Experience shipping products into life sciences, pharma, or other regulated research environments, including familiarity with their data governance and compliance expectations
A track record of launching ambitious products that found distribution or commercial success
Experience designing trusted-access or staged-rollout programs for sensitive capabilities
A creative, hacker spirit and a love of solving hard puzzles

Anthropic is seeking a Regulatory Counsel to lead our legal work on AI regulation in the United States and to support our global AI regulatory posture.
In this role, you will be an in-house regulatory lawyer for Anthropic's US AI regulation and a key contributor to our global frontier AI compliance strategy. You will provide regulatory-readiness counseling as new laws are developed, day-to-day advice once they are in force, and legal support for Anthropic's non-contentious engagement with US regulators and standards bodies. While the role is US-focused, AI regulation is inherently global: you will help ensure a consistent worldwide compliance posture, coordinate closely with colleagues leading our EU and international workstreams, and contribute to EU AI Act and other international work where it overlaps with your areas. You will work at the intersection of novel legal questions, fast-moving product development, and a high-profile regulatory environment, cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Safeguards, Security, Policy, Research, and product teams.
Key responsibilities
Serve as one of Anthropic's lead in-house regulatory counsel for US AI regulation, covering applicability analysis, readiness, day-to-day advice, and compliance-program design
Own US regulatory compliance deliverables end to end, such as published safety and transparency frameworks, model documentation obligations, and incident-reporting requirements
Track legislative, regulatory, and standards developments across US federal and state jurisdictions (and internationally where relevant), assess applicability and impact on Anthropic's business and products, and design compliance approaches well in advance of obligations taking effect
Counsel legal, compliance, safety, security, and business teams on day-to-day regulatory questions once laws are in force, translating complex and often ambiguous requirements into practical guidance and scalable compliance programs
Support Anthropic's engagement with US AI regulators, enforcement agencies, and standards bodies — including notifications, information requests, reporting obligations, and voluntary framework and standards processes — in close partnership with Policy
Partner with Anthropic's Policy and Policy Legal teams on pre-legislative and rulemaking engagement, including comment letters and regulatory submissions, translating policy positions into legally-grounded regulatory positions
Partner with Anthropic's Litigation and Regulatory Investigations Legal teams on litigation and regulatory enforcement concerning AI regulation
Contribute to Anthropic's global frontier AI regulatory work where it intersects with US obligations
Minimum qualifications
JD from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one US state bar
Hands-on experience advising a technology business (in-house or at a leading law firm) on emerging regulatory regimes, including taking questions from first read of a statute through to a documented compliance position and a shipped artifact
Experience engaging with regulators, enforcement agencies, or standards bodies in a non-contentious supervisory capacity
Experience drafting regulatory compliance deliverables, such as compliance policies, regulatory submissions, or published compliance frameworks
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to technical, policy, product, and business audiences
Preferred qualifications
8–12 years of regulatory legal experience, with substantive depth in technology regulation and hands-on exposure to AI-specific frameworks
Direct experience with frontier AI regulatory regimes — California SB 53, the Colorado AI Act, or comparable state laws; or the EU AI Act and GPAI Code of Practice
Experience at a frontier AI company, large technology platform, or other hyper-scaling technology business operating under novel regulatory regimes
Familiarity with adjacent laws that intersect with AI regulation — e.g., privacy and data protection, consumer protection, product safety, and export controls
Familiarity with model evaluation, capability testing, or AI safety concepts
A background that combines private practice and in-house experience
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to develop novel compliance approaches in areas without established precedent
Strong organizational skills to run several workstreams in parallel and keep compliance artifacts current without prompting
Excellence at cross-functional collaboration
Passion for responsible AI development and getting the balance right between innovation and appropriate safeguards
Understanding of how to build constructive long-term relationships with regulators and standards bodies
Role-specific policy: For this role, we expect all staff to be able to work from our San Francisco or New York office at least 3 days a week, though we encourage you to apply even if you might need some flexibility for an interim period of time.

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
A large and growing share of Claude usage reaches customers through our cloud partners — Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud's Agent Platform, and Microsoft Foundry. These surfaces require bespoke solutions so our approaches have to be designed for third-party distribution from the start. In this role you will own how Anthropic's model safeguards, fraud defenses, and compliance posture show up on every cloud.
Responsibilities:
Model Safety Across Clouds
Own the multi-cloud strategy and roadmap for our safeguards — data retention, automated review, human review, and enforcement — designed to fit each partner's operating model
Design product experiences and operations paths for managing eligibility criteria, verification paths, and the controls attached to differentiated capabilities for higher-trust organizations
Build threat-intelligence sharing with AWS, Google, and Microsoft so misuse is detected and acted on consistently across surfaces
Drive our transparency commitments to customers and partners on data access, review, and enforcement
Fraud & Abuse
Own fraud and abuse defenses for partner-sold offerings: bot and mass-registration abuse, pre- and post-sale risk controls, and chargebacks where the partner owns billing
Define the fraud signals we exchange with each cloud partner and turn them into product requirements that influence growth initiatives
Cross-functional Leadership
Engage directly with enterprise security, risk, and compliance leaders to understand their requirements and turn them into roadmap priorities
Be Anthropic's product counterpart to trust & safety, security, and compliance teams at AWS, Google, and Microsoft
Work with Safeguards, Inference, Policy, Security, Legal, and multi-cloud engineering to ship one coherent set of controls across three clouds
Partner with sales and partnerships to support enterprise evaluations where data-handling and safety requirements are decisive
Work with marketing and partner teams on how we position our safeguards externally
Minimum requirements:
Have 10+ years of experience.
Have 5+ years of product experience in platform product roles on high-scale, enterprise- or developer-facing software.
Operate with high autonomy in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, with a track record of executing across teams and organizations.
Are an excellent written communicator and able to drive clarity out of complexity.
Are equally fluent in policy nuance and systems detail, and can explain the tradeoff between them to lawyers, engineers, go to market teams, and partner executives alike.
Preferred requirements
Prior product experience in trust & safety, security, privacy, or compliance.
Have built or shipped products with a hyper-scaler as a partner — you know how to align strategic goals and deliver impact over multiple quarters in partnership with an external third party
Have owned a top line revenue target while being held to counter-risk outcome — a fraud-loss number, an abuse rate, a compliance authorization, an enforcement program — not just a product roadmap.
Direct experience on a trust & safety, fraud, or security product team at AWS, GCP, or Azure — or at an ISV that ships through one of their marketplaces.
Background in AI safety, content moderation, or abuse-detection systems.
Designed incident-response or escalation processes that span more than one company.

Identify and prioritize high-probability targets using a defined ideal customer profile: company size, therapeutic area focus, pipeline stage, and recent approvals
Map multi-threaded stakeholder ecosystems across R&D, HEOR, medical, market access, and commercial teams at target accounts
Maintain rigorous pipeline hygiene using a defined qualification methodology (e.g., MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, or BANT) to advance or deprioritize opportunities
LEAD SOLUTION SELLING ACROSS THE PHARMA DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE
Lead discovery conversations across early research, clinical development, HEOR/RWE, market access, and commercial analytics
Translate complex client needs into well-scoped solutions that balance data, analytics, services, and delivery realities
Guide clients toward use cases where Arcadia can deliver outsized value, not lowest-friction data transactions
Align solutions to client budgeting and planning cycles, including annual and multi-year funding processes
CONDUCT CONSULTATIVE, VALUE-BASED SELLING
Lead structured discovery that surfaces business problems and internal success metrics before any product discussion
Build ROI and business cases using the customer's own metrics and language, validated by the scientific or commercial champion
Adapt selling approach and content to the buyer persona and Use Case - modulating message and proof points accordingly
NEGOTIATE AND CLOSE COMMERCIAL AGREEMENTS
Structure enterprise data agreements—licensing, DUAs, MSAs, usage-based pricing—that protect margin while delivering clear buyer value
Exercise strong commercial judgment on deal structure, pricing, and scope, with a clear negotiating position and walk-away point on every deal
Respond to procurement pressure by re-anchoring to validated scientific and commercial value rather than discounting immediately

MEDDIC or MEDDPICC certification, or equivalent formal sales methodology training
What You'll Get
Arcadia brings a rare advantage to Life Sciences: a
market-leading, scaled payer and provider platform
as its foundation
For more than a decade, Arcadia has been the trusted data and analytics partner to health systems, physician groups, and payers nationwide. That core business provides deep, longitudinal clinical and claims data, embedded clinical workflows, and durable relationships across the healthcare ecosystem
Building on this foundation, Arcadia has assembled a large, de-identified real-world dataset combining claims and clinically rich EHR data sourced directly from provider systems. The result is a longitudinal, research-grade asset with depth and clinical context that is difficult to replicate through aggregation alone
Life Sciences is a strategic pillar built on this foundation. Arcadia has made a deliberate, multi-year investment in:
Purpose-built real-world data assets
Clinically connected solutions that link insight back into provider workflows
A growing research and collaboration ecosystem to expand data use rights
Dedicated leadership, product, data, and operational resources
The opportunity is to sell—and help shape—solutions that connect
data, analytics, and real-world clinical activation
across the pharma development lifecycle, backed by enterprise credibility and executive commitment
This role is a
founding, hands-on commercial leadership role, accountable for building the direct Life Sciences revenue engine, and deeply involved in shaping deals, messaging, and market positioning
This role is not a
channel-only or account maintenance role, a narrowly scoped quota-carrying role with a fixed playbook, and insulated from product, delivery, or execution realities

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's Safeguards organization builds the policies, evaluations, and detection and enforcement systems that define and hold the limits on how Claude can be used. In this role, you'll lead our policy design team, managing the teams responsible for radicalization, child safety, user well-being, harmful manipulation, and election integrity, among other harm areas.
The team is responsible for understanding and defining the risks that come with engaging with Claude, how those risks materialize in the real world, and the mitigations needed to prevent them. As the manager, you'll work with your team to draw the boundaries between what is and is not allowed, then partner with research, product, and engineering to build the right interventions. Mitigating these harms takes the whole stack: the values and judgment trained into the model itself, the policies and detection systems we enforce on top of it, and the interventions we build into our products. More capable models, new product surfaces, and new user behaviors will keep testing these boundaries, so the team's policies have to keep pace.
You'll work closely with product to develop and iterate on the strategy and vision for how our safety layers fit together, and with your team and cross-functional partners to decide which mitigations make the most sense and how to implement them. You'll also coordinate policy decisions across the portfolio: ensuring they're made with the right stakeholders in the room, tracked over time, and applied consistently across harm areas and product surfaces.
This is a leadership role for someone who combines expertise in the harm areas themselves with fluency in how frontier models are actually developed and deployed, and who does their best work across team boundaries. You'll spend as much time developing the leads who own each harm area as you will on the policy questions themselves.
*Important context for this role: some of the work involves exposure to explicit content, including material of a sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing nature.
Key responsibilities
Lead, develop, and grow the managers and teams responsible for the consumer harms portfolio, including child safety, user well-being, harmful manipulation, and election integrity
Coordinate policy decisions across the portfolio, and build the mechanisms that keep them tracked, consistent, and legible — so stakeholders know what was decided, why, and who owns what
Set the strategy for how mitigations built on top of the model — policies, detection and enforcement systems, and product interventions — complement what is trained into the model itself, partnering closely with the alignment training team that owns Claude's character
Prioritize across harm areas competing for the same resources, and make those tradeoffs and their rationale clear to leadership
Serve as the escalation point for high-severity and ambiguous consumer harms decisions, including rapid response to emerging risks
Partner with engineering, data science, product, legal, and research across the model development cycle so consumer harms considerations are represented from training through launch, on every surface where Claude is deployed
Engage external experts, civil society organizations, and regulators, and translate that engagement into stronger policy and enforcement
Minimum qualifications
Experience leading teams — including managing managers or senior specialists — in AI safety, product policy, or a related field
Deep, applied familiarity with consumer harm areas such as child safety, mental health and well-being, manipulation, or election integrity, and good judgment about how these harms differ in mechanism, severity, and mitigation
A track record of exceptional cross-team collaboration: building durable working relationships with teams you don't control, and getting to shared decisions where ownership is genuinely distributed
Working understanding of how frontier models are developed and deployed — the training and fine-tuning cycle, evaluations, and launch processes — and how different model environments (consumer products, APIs, agentic tools) change both risk and the mitigations available
Experience translating policy positions into mechanisms that can be enforced and measured, and communicating the reasoning to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives
Sound judgment in ambiguous, high-consequence decisions, and comfort making a call and escalating appropriately on incomplete information
Preferred qualifications
Subject-matter depth in one or more of the portfolio's harm areas, from academia, clinical practice, civil society, government, or trust & safety work
Experience working directly with model training or research teams on model behavior, or shaping the character of a deployed AI system
Experience with generative AI safety systems, including LLM-based classification, evaluation, or enforcement pipelines
Experience engaging external stakeholders in these domains — child safety organizations, election authorities, mental health experts, or regulators
Experience using agentic AI tools to scale a team's analysis and operations

Anthropic is building AI compute at a scale and pace that outruns what off-the-shelf data center equipment was designed for. Much of the power and cooling equipment behind our next campuses — battery energy storage systems (BESS), grid-forming and grid-following inverters, solid-state transformers (SST), E-STATCOM and other power-quality devices, medium-voltage switchgear, UPS, and liquid-cooling systems — is either new to the market, new to the supplier, or being built at a volume the supplier has never shipped before.
The NPI Engineer owns the path from "the supplier has a design" to "the equipment is qualified, manufacturable at rate, and running reliably on site." You sit between our electrical and mechanical design teams, our supply chain and quality teams, and the supplier's engineering and factory organizations, and you make sure every new product or major variant clears the gates — EVT, DVT, PVT, FAT, SAT — before it is trusted with production load. This is a hands-on role: you will spend real time on supplier factory floors, in test labs, and at site commissioning.
What you'll do
Own the NPI program for each new power or cooling product
(BESS, inverters, SST, E-STATCOM, MV switchgear, UPS, CDUs, chillers) from concept selection through ramp, including the gate schedule, exit criteria, and risk register.
Drive early supplier design engagement:
translate our site requirements (fault current, grid interconnection, harmonic and ride-through requirements, thermal envelopes, footprint, serviceability) into product requirements and specifications the supplier can build to, and negotiate trade-offs with their engineering teams.
Lead DFM/DFT/DFx reviews
with suppliers so designs are manufacturable at the rate we need, testable in the factory, and serviceable in the field.
Plan and run prototype and pilot builds:
define EVT/DVT/PVT scope and sample counts, witness builds, own test plans (type testing, HALT/HASS, thermal, EMC, protection coordination, functional and integration tests), and drive root cause and corrective action on every failure.
Qualify the product for deployment:
define and execute first-article inspection, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and integrated system testing with the rest of the electrical and cooling chain, and sign off on production readiness.
Hand off to steady state:
transfer qualified products, control plans, test procedures, and known-issue lists to the Manufacturing Quality and Supply Chain Delivery teams, and support them through the first production ramps.
Build the reliability picture:
run FMEA/DFMEA with suppliers, define reliability targets and burn-in requirements, and feed field failure data back into the next revision.
Coordinate cross-functionally
with design engineering, construction, commissioning, utilities/interconnection, safety, and sourcing so NPI schedules are integrated with campus delivery schedules.
Keep suppliers honest:
track readiness and risk with clear metrics, escalate early, and hold technical reviews that resolve issues rather than admire them.
You may be a good fit if you have
8+ years of engineering experience in power electronics, electrical equipment, or industrial energy systems, with at least 4 years in an NPI, product development, or product engineering role that owned a product from prototype through production ramp.
Direct, hands-on experience with at least two of: BESS, utility- or data-center-scale inverters, medium-voltage transformers or switchgear, UPS, STATCOM/power-quality equipment, or liquid cooling systems (CDUs, chillers, hydronics).
Working knowledge of the relevant standards and how they get applied in qualification: UL 9540/9540A, UL 1741 and IEEE 1547, IEEE 2800, IEC 62477 / IEC 62909, IEEE C37 and C57 series, NFPA 70/855, UL 1778, and comparable IEC equivalents.
Experience defining and executing structured qualification programs (EVT/DVT/PVT, FAT/SAT, type testing, reliability testing) and closing failures with disciplined root cause analysis and CAPA.
Familiarity with supplier factory environments — production lines, test bays, quality systems — and the ability to assess a supplier's real readiness to ship at rate.
Fluency in design-for-manufacturing and design-for-test principles and the supplier ECO/change-control process.
Strong systems thinking: you can reason about how an inverter, a battery, a transformer, and a cooling loop behave together at a site, not just in isolation.
Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort driving decisions across engineering, supply chain, and executive audiences.
A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or power engineering, or equivalent experience.
Willingness to travel 30–40% to supplier factories and data center sites, including internationally.
Strong candidates may also have
Experience with solid-state transformers, grid-forming inverters, E-STATCOM, or other emerging power-conversion equipment being introduced to data center or utility applications for the first time.
NPI or product engineering experience at a hyperscaler, a large utility-scale developer, or a Tier-1 power equipment OEM.
Background in grid interconnection studies, protection coordination, or power-system modeling (PSCAD, ETAP, PSS/E, or similar).
Liquid cooling product introduction experience — CDU, rear-door heat exchanger, direct-to-chip, or immersion systems.
Reliability engineering credentials (CRE, Six Sigma) or experience running HALT/HASS programs.
Firmware and controls validation experience for power conversion equipment (inverter control loops, BMS, EMS, PLC/SCADA integration).
Experience standing up or scaling new supplier manufacturing lines, including contract manufacturing and international sites.

As an Enterprise Account Executive, Retail based in Tokyo, you'll drive the adoption of safe, frontier AI technology across Japan's retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), and general trading companies. You'll own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, working with senior leaders to help them optimize operations, strengthen supply chains, personalize customer experiences at scale, and sharpen their competitive position with Anthropic's AI solutions.
Key responsibilities
Own and exceed revenue targets by winning new major accounts and expanding existing relationships across Japan's domestic retailers, CPG manufacturers, and general trading companies
Build and execute territory plans, identifying high-value opportunities across supermarket and convenience store groups, specialty retailers, food & beverage and consumer goods manufacturers, and sogo shosha and their group companies
Lead consultative sales processes with senior executives — including CIOs, CDOs, CMOs, and heads of supply chain, merchandising, and DX — positioning AI as a driver for demand forecasting, personalization, inventory optimization, trade and supply chain operations, and enhanced customer experience
Orchestrate internal teams (Product, Engineering, Applied AI, Partnerships) to deliver solutions that integrate with existing retail and enterprise technology stacks while meeting Japan's data privacy requirements under the APPI framework
Minimum qualifications
Enterprise sales experience in Japan with significant exposure to retail, CPG, and/or trading company accounts, driving adoption of emerging technologies with a consultative, solutions-oriented approach
A track record of managing complex sales processes and securing strategic deals with large-scale retailers, consumer goods manufacturers, and trading companies by understanding the operational and technology challenges unique to Japan's consumer and trading sectors
Demonstrated ability to navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems, building consensus across merchandising, supply chain, digital, marketing, and business division teams with multiple budget authorities and approval layers
Proven experience exceeding revenue targets by effectively managing pipeline across seasonal retail cycles, the rapid decision-making cadence of consumer-facing businesses, and the consensus-driven procurement processes of trading companies
Preferred qualifications
8+ years in relevant field
A knack for bringing order to chaos and an enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality — you are a true team player who thrives in ambiguous, startup-like environments
A strategic, analytical approach to identifying opportunities within Japan's retail, CPG, and trading sectors combined with patient, relationship-focused execution
A passion for and/or experience with advanced AI systems. You feel strongly about ensuring frontier AI systems are developed safely and responsibly for broad benefit
Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English
What We Offer
Competitive base salary and commission structure commensurate with experience
Equity participation
Comprehensive benefits package
Hybrid work model with flexibility
Access to cutting-edge AI technology and world-class research team

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic is expanding its reseller program in Japan and Korea. As our Reseller Operations Manager for Japan and Korea, you'll own how resellers in both countries get onboarded, transact, get paid, and get supported, across both of our resale motions: hyperscaler resale, where partners resell Claude through the cloud marketplaces (AWS Bedrock today, Google Cloud Vertex AI and Microsoft Foundry to follow), and direct resale, where partners resell on Anthropic paper through our own quote-to-order and billing systems. The global team builds the program; you make it work for Japanese and Korean partners and feed back what has to change.
This is an operator role, not a partner manager role. In the first months you'll be validating deal registrations and answering partner tickets yourself; by the end of the first year the volume should be running on documented process, service levels, and vendor or system coverage that you set up.
Key responsibilities
Own reseller onboarding for Japan and Korea end to end: application intake, screening coordination, agreement execution, marketplace authorization, entitlement setup, and activation, and keep the partner record in Salesforce decision-grade for both regions.
Run hyperscaler (3P) reseller operations: deal-registration intake and validation within SLA, marketplace authorizations and private-offer processing with the cloud alliance teams, and end-customer reporting on every reseller transaction so partner-sourced revenue can be attributed.
Run direct (1P) reseller operations: partner quotes and order forms, order booking and provisioning, and commit tracking and true-ups with Deal Desk, RevOps, and Accounting, and work with Finance and Tax on local invoicing, currency, and consumption-tax handling for each transaction route.
Run the regional side of reseller incentives: eligibility, validation of quarterly payouts, and partner disputes, in partnership with the global incentive operations team and Finance.
Stand up first-line operational support for resellers in Japanese and Korean during local business hours, inside the global partner support queue rather than alongside it, and localize the onboarding, deal-registration, and ordering content partners depend on.
Manage any outsourced or contracted operations capacity used in region (scope, quality, service levels) and coordinate with Enablement on the logistics of local-language certification and training.
Own reseller reporting for Japan and Korea: registration volume and cycle time, activation, attach, and attributed revenue by partner and by motion, and use it to tell the regional teams and the global program what to fix next.
Adopt the global Partner Operations playbooks where they fit, write the in-region variants where they don't, and represent Japan and Korea requirements in partner systems and automation work so manual volume doesn't grow with partner count.
Minimum qualifications
Several years in channel, reseller, distribution, or partner operations at a technology company, ideally touching both a cloud-marketplace motion and a direct or contract-based resale motion.
Working proficiency in Japanese, Korean, and English. You'll run operational relationships with partners in both countries and work daily with a US-based team; proficiency doesn't need to be identical across all three, but you need to be able to work with partners in both regions.
Practical knowledge of how at least one major cloud marketplace's reseller program works (authorizations, private offers, deal registration), or deep experience in one motion and a track record of picking up the other quickly.
Hands-on experience with quote-to-order, order management, or partner billing, and the Finance, Deal Desk, and Legal coordination that comes with it.
A track record of taking a manual process and turning it into documented workflow, service levels, and reporting, including managing vendors or contractors who execute part of it.
Hands-on Salesforce experience (reporting, data maintenance), and comfort being the only operations person in the region while working with a team many time zones away.
Preferred qualifications
Experience inside the Japanese or Korean enterprise reseller and systems-integrator ecosystem, including local invoicing, credit, and consumption-tax conventions.
Experience with partner incentive or rebate operations, or with a partner program during its launch phase.
Experience with PRM or deal-registration tooling, or building automations with Claude or similar tools to run operational workflows at volume.
How this role works with the team
You'll report into Partner Experience and work day to day with two groups. The global Partner Operations team in San Francisco owns the reseller program's systems, and playbooks; our reseller operations owner there is your direct counterpart, and you'll split work along a simple line: they own the global process, you own its execution and adaptation in Japan and Korea. The Japan and Korea go-to-market teams own the partner relationships and the commercial conversations; you're the operational layer underneath them, and the person they come to when something about a partner's onboarding, order, or payout needs to move. You'll also be the regional voice into Finance, Deal Desk, RevOps, and the cloud alliance teams on anything that has to work differently in these markets.

You will lead and direct an established external production agency, providing creative briefs, reviewing concepts, scripts, casting, visual direction, and edits, and ensuring every production meets the agreed creative standards.
You will also use YouTube performance data, audience insights, and your understanding of creator culture to develop engaging formats, refine existing shows, and balance entertainment value with brand objectives.
A strong background in YouTube entertainment, recurring show formats, and creative leadership is essential. Experience in gaming, creator culture, and youth entertainment is highly desirable, while experience in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle is an advantage but not a requirement.

Demonstrated ability to develop original show concepts, recurring formats, episode structures, and long-term content strategies.
Experience leading and directing external production agencies, studios, or creative teams, with final responsibility for creative decisions and quality.
Hands-on experience overseeing creative development, including treatments, scripts, casting, visual direction, editing, and final content approval.
Strong creative and editorial judgment, with the ability to critically assess concepts, provide actionable feedback, and improve content based on audience insights.
Experience developing brand-funded or brand-partnered entertainment that integrates brand objectives naturally without compromising entertainment value.
Ability to analyze YouTube performance metrics, including audience retention, engagement, and channel growth, and use these insights to refine or develop formats.
Confidence collaborating with senior brand stakeholders, presenting creative concepts, and defending strategic and editorial decisions.
Strong understanding of internet culture, emerging trends, online communities, creators, and subcultures.
Experience developing entertainment formats for international or multi-market audiences is highly desirable.
Experience working with creators, influencers, or celebrity talent, including casting and creative collaboration, is a strong advantage.
Familiarity with gaming, esports, and youth culture, particularly Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences, is highly desirable.
Experience within beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or adjacent consumer categories is a plus, but not essential.
Ability to provide examples of previously developed or managed YouTube shows, including links, specific responsibilities, and measurable results.
