WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re looking for a hands-on Growth engineer to help grow Notion’s Startups and SMB programs. You’ll work closely with our Ecosystem Growth Lead to help more businesses grow with Notion.
You can spot opportunities in the data and own the executing on the plan that follows. You’re comfortable getting into the tools yourself, moving quickly without sacrificing accuracy, and staying accountable for results.
This role is based in New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Work with a small team that operates like a growth lab. Startups and SMBs are the proving ground for ideas that can change how Notion grows.
- Build and launch new growth programs, from creator-led acquisition to AI-powered systems for testing new audiences and campaigns. Bring your own ideas and take responsibility for getting them off the ground.
- Move quickly from a rough hypothesis to a live experiment. Write code for new in-product experiences and build alongside Storytelling, Product, and Engineering to get your work into customers’ hands.
- Use SQL and customer research to find overlooked opportunities. Measure what changes customer behavior and revenue, and use the results to choose where to go next.
- Turn the strongest experiments into programs other teams can run. Build the systems and playbooks for them to expand across Notion, then take on the next growth challenge.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- A record of shipping growth or operations projects. You can explain what you personally built and what changed as a result.
- Typescript, Full-stack, and Systems-thinking
- Strong SQL and analytical judgment. You can work through messy data and distinguish a promising signal from a misleading result.
- Hands-on experience building campaigns or automated workflows in tools such as Customer.io http://Customer.io, Salesforce, or comparable platforms.
- The ability to take an ambiguous goal and execute on growth initiatives. You unblock yourself where possible and communicate clearly when you need another team’s help.
- Experience with self-serve SaaS or startup and SMB customers is a plus. If you’ve done similar work but with a different title, we’d love to hear from you!

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. - Learn the Platform: Become an expert on Sierra's platform and how AI agents transform customer experiences, from agent design and workflows to integrations, so you can speak credibly with technical and business stakeholders.
- Discovery & Demos: Participate in efficient discovery calls to understand customer needs, answer technical questions (ideally in a single conversation), and grow to deliver standard product demos and account coverage for the sales team.
- Proofs of Concept: Support senior SEs in building demos and proofs of concept, and keep demo environments current and ready for customer use.
- APIs & Integrations: Educate customers on Sierra's APIs, webhooks, and integration patterns, and build and deploy scripts against a test environment on demand.
- RFPs & Collateral: Help the team respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires, and create presentations, positioning statements, and other sales collateral.
- Partner with Sales: Advocate for your AEs and customers in internal technical conversations, join customer meetings and events, and keep CRM records and opportunity data accurate.
- Close the Loop with Product: Act as a bridge between Sales and Product, translating customer feedback into actionable input and enrolling the right customers in beta programs.

- A collaborative, quick-learning mindset: someone who treats sales as a team sport and takes feedback well.
EVEN BETTER...

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Finance teams need a dependable way to turn everyday spending and payments into accurate books. Ramp's Accounting team builds the systems that carry accounting context across our products, help customers categorize and reconcile activity, and keep their records in sync. When those systems work well, finance teams spend less time correcting data and more time understanding their business.
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build across that accounting experience. You could work on the services behind accounting rules and data models, the flow of transactions into the books, or the reliability of sync and reconciliation workflows. You'll own complex projects from design through production and work with product, design, and engineering partners to make accounting workflows simpler and more trustworthy for customers.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design and build backend services, APIs, and data models that support accounting workflows across Ramp's products
- Make financial data accurate, traceable, and resilient as transactions move through coding, reconciliation, and sync
- Improve the reliability and visibility of workflows that span Ramp and customers' accounting systems, including how they handle failures and changes
- Partner with product and engineering teammates to understand finance teams' needs and turn them into practical technical designs
- Own substantial projects from design and implementation through launch, monitoring, and iteration
- Raise the engineering bar through thoughtful design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Experience designing, building, and operating production backend systems, including APIs, data models, and asynchronous workflows
- Strong system design judgment, especially around data correctness, reliability, and keeping complex systems understandable
- A track record of independently owning complex projects and shipping high-quality software
- The ability to investigate problems across services and data flows and turn what you learn into durable improvements
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach to technical decisions and feedback
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with accounting, payments, spend management, or other financial data products
- Familiarity with accounting concepts such as coding, reconciliation, or the general ledger
- Experience building integrations or data workflows that keep information consistent across systems

We may then invite you to submit a video interview for the review of the hiring manager. This video interview is often followed by a test or short project that allows us to determine whether you will be a good fit for the team.
At this point, we will invite you to interview with our hiring manager and/or the interview team. Please note: We do not conduct interviews via text message, Telegram, etc. and we never hire anyone into our organization without having met you face-to-face (or via Zoom). You will be invited to come to a live meeting or Zoom, where you will meet our INFUSE team.
From there on, it’s decision time! If you are still excited to join INFUSE and we like you as much, we will have a conversation about your offer. We do not make offers without giving you the opportunity to speak with us live.
