Perplexity is seeking a highly skilled, experienced and hands-on Offensive Security Engineer to join our dynamic security team, taking an adversarial approach to hardening Perplexity's infrastructure, applications, and AI systems. You'll plan and execute red team operations, penetration tests, and attack simulations across our cloud infrastructure, web and mobile applications, AI/ML pipeline, and corporate environment—finding real vulnerabilities before adversaries do and working directly with engineering teams to drive remediation.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute red team and purple team engagements simulating advanced threat actors across cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes), endpoints, and application surfaces
- Conduct continuous penetration testing of web applications, APIs, mobile clients, browser extensions, cloud infrastructure, and internal services
- Assess AI/ML-specific attack surfaces including prompt injection, model exfiltration, agent abuse, tool-use exploitation, and MCP security boundaries
- Develop and maintain custom offensive tooling, exploits, and automation to improve the efficiency and coverage of security testing
- Perform open-scope adversary simulations that test detection and response capabilities end to end, collaborating closely with the defensive security team
- Drive threat modeling sessions with engineering teams to identify and prioritize attack vectors in new features and architectures
- Deliver clear, actionable findings to both technical and executive audiences; partner with engineering to validate remediations
- Contribute to the security of CI/CD pipelines, supply chain integrity, and secrets management through offensive assessment
- Stay current on emerging attack techniques, vulnerability research, and adversary tradecraft; bring external perspective into Perplexity's security strategy
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in offensive security, red teaming, or penetration testing
- Deep technical expertise in at least two of: cloud security (AWS/GCP/Azure), web/API application security, Kubernetes and container security, macOS/Linux endpoint security, network penetration testing, or CI/CD pipeline security
- Track record of discovering impactful vulnerabilities or developing novel attack techniques in production environments
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Go, or similar languages; comfortable writing custom tooling and exploits
- Experience with industry-standard offensive tools (Burp Suite, Cobalt Strike / Sliver / Mythic, Metasploit, BloodHound, nuclei, etc.) and ability to operate beyond them
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate complex technical findings into clear risk narratives
- Experience assessing AI/ML systems, LLM applications, or agentic workflows for security vulnerabilities
- Bonus: Published security research, conference talks (DEF CON, Black Hat, BSides), CVE credits, or meaningful bug bounty contributions

What You’ll Be Doing
Business & Team Leadership
Own the overall frontend team across core business verticals including Trading and Payment, covering hiring, development, and pipeline building. Partner effectively with Product, Backend, Security, and Compliance — driving cross-functional outcomes through technical judgment, not just execution.
Product Delivery & Technical Execution
Lead technical design and delivery for core business features including trading system frontend experience, wallet and asset management, AI-powered trading products, payment gateway integrations, and KYC/AML frontend implementation. Stay deeply sensitive to business metrics and user experience, making sound trade-offs between speed and quality.
Product & Engineering Thinking in the AI Era
Demonstrate deep understanding of how AI is reshaping product paradigms — changing user expectations, product form factors, and R&D efficiency. Integrate AI into product decisions and design, not merely as a productivity tool.
Technical Judgment & Standard-Setting
Drive tech stack alignment and evolution. Proactively identify and address technical risk. Establish high engineering quality standards in complex crypto security contexts — private key security, frontend attack prevention, compliance auditing, and more.
Cross-Team Influence
Build dual technical and business influence at the company level. Communicate technical value and business judgment clearly to engineers, product managers, and senior leadership alike. Participate in industry engagements to attract high-potential talent who are genuinely passionate about crypto.
What We Look For In You
Bachelor's degree or above in CS or related field; 10+ years of engineering experience including 5+ years managing technical teams; solid full-stack capabilities with frontend depth
Deep command of core frontend technologies (React/Vue internals, engineering toolchains, performance optimization, cross-platform solutions), with enough backend and API fluency to drive substantive technical discussions
Proven track record leading frontend for products with DAU 1M+ in high-concurrency, high-availability environments
Demonstrated experience driving cross-team collaboration and standard adoption through technical influence rather than organizational authority
Genuine understanding of and enthusiasm for crypto — familiar with CEX/DEX trading mechanics, Web3 wallet and signing mechanisms, and mainstream payment gateway ecosystems.
Deep understanding of how AI is reshaping product design; can integrate AI into product decisions rather than treating it purely as a development accelerator
Perks & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events
Wellness and meal allowances
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants

Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Notion is rebuilding its go-to-market motion around a workflow-first, builder-led model—and the BDR is at the front of it. As a Business Development Rep, you'll be the force that turns the right accounts into the right conversations. You'll partner closely with Solutions Consultants to identify and target companies that are ready to rethink how they work—and your job is to get them in the room. If you're competitive, curious, and energized by outbound that actually means something, this is the role for you.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE
- Generate qualified, workflow-first pipeline by identifying and targeting high-potential accounts in your assigned book, partnering with your sellers on account and outbound strategy
- Run multi-channel outbound campaigns—email, phone, LinkedIn, and events—to create urgency and secure first meetings with the right decision-makers
- Conduct initial qualification to ensure meetings handed to sellers are "ready to build," not just "ready to talk"—validating ICP, intent, and workflow fit before the handoff
- Document and deliver clean handoff packets in Salesforce with ICP signals, pain points, workflow hypothesis, and stakeholder context so sellers can hit the ground running
- Leverage GTM System tooling and intent data to sharpen targeting, prioritize accounts by signal strength, and increase the quality and consistency of your outbound motion
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING
- Proven track record in outbound pipeline generation, with hands-on experience in cold prospecting across phone, email, and social channels
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, persona-specific outreach that earns a response
- Sharp qualification instincts—able to quickly assess ICP fit, identify urgency, and set solutions condsultants up for high-quality first conversations
- Passion for AI/ML and understanding of API-first or consumption-based business models
- High-activity mindset with the discipline to prioritize based on signal and data, not just volume
- You don't need to be an AI expert, but you're curious and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, or similar GTM tooling
- Familiarity with Notion as a product or prior experience selling productivity, collaboration, or workflow software
- Background in a high-velocity, metric-driven outbound environment with clear pipeline targets
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For this role, based in San Francisco the estimated hourly rate is $33.65 - $38.70 per hour with a 30k annual commission target, annualized to salary range of $100,000 - $115,000 per year.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

ABOUT MORPHO
Morpho is a leading Decentralized Finance (DeFi) lending protocol backed by a16z crypto, Paradigm, Ribbit Capital, Apollo, Vaneck, Coinbase Ventures, Variant and 50 others to build an open credit network giving anyone, anywhere, access to the best possible terms. Morpho is experiencing exponential adoption, with over billion in deposits on the network and used by institutional clients including Bitwise, Galaxy, and Anchorage Digital and the largest crypto exchanges, such as Coinbase, Binance, and Kraken. Now, Morpho is scaling its team of contributors to establish itself as the open credit network, not just of DeFi, but of the world.
WHY MORPHO EXISTS
Everyone has the potential to build something great for the world. But fulfilling that ambition almost always requires more: people willing to trust you with their capital. Yet access to capital still depends on where you live, who you know, and which institutions are willing to trust you. Even when capital is available, it sits fragmented across disconnected networks and hidden behind intermediaries. The result is a system that fails most of the people it should serve. Borrowers overpay. Lenders earn less than they should. Many are shut out entirely, not because they are unworthy of credit, but because today's infrastructure was never built to connect them. Morpho exists to solve this. Full article here https://morpho.org/blog/why-morpho-exists/.
LOCATION
Remote (Europe only, from GMT to GMT+2 to ensure sufficient overlap with the rest of the team).
HOW WE WORK
We move fast on hard problems in a nascent market with no set playbook: navigating uncertainty is part of the job. You'll be challenged: anyone can question work and decisions must be justified. We keep a high bar and match it with high support: we help each other unblock and share context openly, with low ego. More about our values: morpho.org/jobs http://morpho.org/jobs.
ROLE
The mission of this role is to build and own the backend systems that power Morpho's consumer-facing products: reliable, performant APIs and data pipelines that serve accurate financial data to users at scale.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop backend features using TypeScript and Node to deliver clear product outcomes for the Morpho Consumer team.
- Design and evolve APIs (REST, GraphQL, …) and data models to expose accurate, secure financial data to the frontend with sub-second response times.
- Operate and improve PostgreSQL-backed data pipelines to ensure performance, reliability, and availability as transaction volumes grow.
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers and product to scope, ship, and iterate on end-to-end features across the Consumer product.
- Identify and implement architecture improvements: improving data processing, caching, and API layer design to simplify systems and reduce operational burden.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues to maintain a high-quality user experience.
- Write clear, concise documentation and async updates to keep stakeholders aligned across time zones.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
FIRST 30 DAYS
Ramped up on the Consumer API, codebase, and delivery practices. Shipped the first meaningful feature safely to production. Established clear async communication habits and collaboration rhythms with product and frontend peers.
FIRST 4 MONTHS
Owns delivery of scoped features end-to-end. Identifying and starting to implement architecture improvements to the API and data processing layer. Contributing to higher reliability through better observability, testing, and incident response.
IN 1 YEAR
The go-to engineer for the Consumer API, with deep functional and technical context. Consistently delivering high-impact features and taking full ownership of architecture decisions within the Consumer vertical.
MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- 8-10+ years of backend development experience in production TypeScript/Node environments.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
- Experience working on a backend-for-frontend stack, or collaborating closely with frontend teams to serve product data.
- Track record operating production systems at scale: reliability, observability, and performance under real load.
- Strong interest in the Web3 ecosystem and comfort learning the DeFi domain.
- Comfort operating in fast-changing, ambiguous environments where priorities shift.
- Strong ownership and autonomy: takes responsibility for outcomes end-to-end.
- Clear and crisp async communication: writes well and keeps distributed teams aligned.
- Team-first mindset, low ego.
- Humble.
PERKS & BENEFITS
We design benefits around deep work and growth, so you can do the best work of your career. Expect fair, top-tier compensation, real flexibility, time together in Paris, great health coverage, and support to keep learning.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and hire based on talent, potential, and values alignment.

ROLE

- Design and implement the API and SDK strategy enabling hundreds of integrators to build on Morpho's infrastructure, including versioning patterns, developer experience standards, and real-time streaming systems.
- Build and optimize high-performance data systems processing millions of on-chain events across 15+ blockchains, using intelligent caching and query optimization to maintain reliability at scale.
- Lead technical architecture reviews and establish coding standards that raise the technical capability of 5-10 engineers across product teams.

Owns technical architecture for an entire product vertical, with proven reliability and performance metrics. Recognized as the technical authority for fullstack architecture decisions across the organization.

- Proven track record architecting high-availability systems handling millions of requests daily.
- Deep TypeScript expertise across client and server: React/Next.js, GraphQL (Apollo Server), Node.js, and typed contract interactions (viem).
- Hands-on experience building or maintaining on-chain data indexers (Ponder, Subsquid, or similar) and working knowledge of EVM event structures.
- Track record of leading technical initiatives across multiple teams without direct authority.
- Comfort operating in fast-changing, ambiguous environments without needing a defined playbook.
- Strong ownership mindset: you drive things to completion and don't wait to be asked.
- Clear, crisp async communication: you write well and can explain complex technical decisions simply.
