Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 - our rapidly developed humanoid platform being deployed in real industrial environments - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring a strong Robotics Learning Engineer to join our Manipulation team based in London.
In this role, you will work on teaching our robots to manipulate the world around them.
This is a role at the intersection of applied deep learning and robotics, and to be set up for success you need both experience of working with real robot hardware (e.g. identifying issues in control or teleop), and applied deep learning (you don’t have to be an expert on cutting edge neural network techniques, but you should be perfectly capable of curating data, fine-tuning a policy on that data and hypothesising potential mitigations when something doesn’t work).
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Post-train manipulation policies via behaviour cloning and RL; own the full loop from data to deployment.
- Come up with data preprocessing strategies to improve the quality of collected data.
- Work with the simulation team to set up RL training using digital twin, and then iterate on reward and simulation quality to ensure successful transfer to the real world.
- Partner with the data collection organization to drive data collection activities for a specific capability: specify what good data looks like, ensure diversity and coverage, and iterate on instructions.
- Expand observation and action spaces with new components required to support novel capabilities, and work with the Teleoperations team to expose these components to robot operators.
- Partner with Teleoperations and Controls teams to improve motion smoothness and teleoperation experience.
- Interface with hardware design team to ensure that manipulation team findings regarding the current generation of hardware are reflected in future designs.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years working on robots (industry or research) with shipped artifacts to show for it. A good understanding of modern teleoperation and low-level control stack.
- Experience with neural network post-training.
- Familiarity with deep learning infrastructure: streaming datasets, checkpointing & state management, distributed training, PyTorch or JAX. Ability to profile & debug numerics and write maintainable research code.
- Good familiarity with modern software engineering practices.
- Ability to document experiments clearly and communicate trade‑offs crisply.
Nice to have:
- Experience training VLA models for manipulation (autoregressive, diffusion or flow-matching based). Familiarity with OpenVLA, Physical Intelligence (π) models, or similar open VLA frameworks.
- Experience applying RL to robotics problems.
- Publications at top-tier robotics or deep learning conferences or equivalent open‑source contributions.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive equity: stock options with meaningful upside as we scale.
- 30+ paid days off, including 23 days of annual leave, all UK bank holidays, and additional company closure days (including Christmas–New Year shutdown).
- Private healthcare, including virtual and in-person care.
- Pension scheme with 8% total contribution (5% employee, 3% employer) on full earnings.
- Free daily breakfast, catered lunch, and snacks in-office.
- Work at the frontier - collaborate daily with world-class engineers, researchers, and product experts building the next generation of AI and humanoid robotics.
- Real ownership - direct access to founding leadership, meaningful input on product direction, and the ability to drive key initiatives from day one.

The best candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and exceptionally dynamic setting and is excited to own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and pitching through to close — across a diverse book of gaming advertisers and publishers across China and the broader APAC market.
Strong commercial acumen and communication skills are essential, along with experience in digital advertising sales, performance marketing, or gaming monetization within the Chinese market. The ability to build enduring client relationships grounded in trust, navigate China's complex and fast-moving digital advertising landscape, and manage multi-stakeholder deal structures will be key to your success in this role.
If you're passionate about the intersection of gaming and advertising technology and love building innovative ad solutions that help game developers grow their player base and revenue across the world's largest gaming market, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Own the full sales cycle for gaming ad sales accounts across China and the APAC region — from prospecting and outreach through pitch, negotiation, and close, with a strong focus on relationship cultivation consistent with Chinese business practices
Build and maintain strong, trust-based, long-term relationships with game developers, publishers, and advertising agencies, acting as the primary point of contact for Xsolla's ad monetization solutions in the Chinese market
Identify and develop new business opportunities by leveraging existing networks, attending industry events, and proactively targeting key accounts within China's gaming and advertising ecosystem
Develop tailored account plans and pitch materials that align client goals with Xsolla's product offerings, including offerwall, rewarded ads, and performance-based monetization tools, localized appropriately for the Chinese market
Collaborate cross-functionally with global product, marketing, and partner success teams to ensure client campaigns are delivered effectively and meet performance targets
Monitor campaign performance, provide clients with regular reporting and insights in both Mandarin and English, and proactively recommend optimizations to maximize results and retention
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, pipeline status, and account details in CRM (Salesforce)
Represent Xsolla at key gaming and ad tech conferences and trade events across China and APAC (e.g., China Joy, Game Connection Asia, Pocket Gamer Connects, WePlay Expo)
Provide market intelligence on advertiser trends, competitor activity, platform developments, and emerging opportunities across China's gaming and digital advertising markets
Qualifications and Skills:
3+ years of experience in digital advertising sales, ad tech, gaming monetization, or a closely related field within the Chinese market
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing a full sales cycle, including experience navigating China's relationship-driven (guanxi-based) enterprise sales environment
Strong understanding of performance advertising models (CPI, CPA, CPM) and the mobile gaming ecosystem, with familiarity with China's major publishers and platforms (Tencent, NetEase, miHoYo, ByteDance/TikTok, Bilibili, Kuaishou, Baidu)
Native or business-level proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, with strong working proficiency in English — the ability to operate fluently across both languages in client-facing and internal communications is essential
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with a strong understanding of Chinese business culture, including relationship-building norms, hierarchy, and enterprise decision-making dynamics
Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and standard sales tooling, as well as familiarity with Chinese business communication platforms (WeChat, DingTalk)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously and adapt quickly to China's rapidly evolving regulatory and platform environment
Based in or willing to relocate to Beijing, China; eligible to work in China without visa sponsorship
Nice to Have:
Experience working with offerwall, rewarded video, or user acquisition advertising products within the Chinese mobile gaming space
Established network within China's games industry — publishers, studios, ad agencies, or platform partners (WeChat Mini Games, Douyin, Kuaishou, Huawei AppGallery, TapTap)
Familiarity with mobile game monetization metrics (ARPU, LTV, ROAS, D7/D30 retention) and China-specific monetization trends such as gacha mechanics, battle pass models, and live-service content strategies
