You will work on challenges involving heterogeneous chains, large-scale data, real-time computation, high concurrency, high availability, data accuracy, and complex cross-functional collaboration. Your work can directly improve user experience, asset security, and business growth.
What You May Work On
This is a broad hiring track rather than a single fixed role. Your responsibilities will be matched to your strengths, experience, and interests, and may include one or more of the following:
Design, build, and evolve onchain data infrastructure, data services, or business systems, taking ownership of the quality and outcomes of critical modules.
Build multi-chain ingestion, real-time and batch computation, data governance, search, storage, and serving capabilities, continuously improving data accuracy, completeness, and freshness.
Contribute to blockchain explorers, the Project Marketplace, onchain assets, labels, risk control, DEX rankings, token scoring, and related platforms or products.

What We Value Most
Hunger — Curiosity and Drive
You stay curious about AI, Web3, emerging technologies, and new business domains, and can learn unfamiliar areas quickly.
You do not wait for instructions when facing a problem; you proactively understand the context, identify solutions, and drive execution.
You go beyond completing assigned tasks and continue to ask about outcomes, user value, and opportunities for improvement.
Cognition — Cognitive Ability and Judgment
You can quickly understand complex technical and business problems, build a structured mental model, and identify the core issue and key trade-offs.
When information is incomplete or the situation is uncertain, you can form sound judgments based on facts and logical reasoning.
You can compare the value, cost, risk, and long-term impact of different options, clearly explain your rationale, and turn decisions into executable plans and results.
What We Are Looking For
Strong computer science fundamentals and coding ability in at least one mainstream programming language, such as Java, Go, Python, or C++.
Clear logical thinking and strong problem decomposition skills, with the ability to independently solve complex technical or business problems.
Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
Backend and distributed systems;
Real-time or batch data processing, data platforms, search, and storage;
High-concurrency, high-availability systems, and reliability engineering;
Risk control, security, strategy, or data analysis;
AI agents, LLM applications, or engineering productivity.
A strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to drive initiatives through to measurable outcomes.
Open, direct, and effective communication, with a willingness to solve problems across teams.
Strong learning ability and growth potential. We value solid engineering fundamentals, but do not use mastery of one specific framework or middleware stack as the sole hiring criterion.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Web3, public blockchains, onchain data, wallets, DEXs, blockchain explorers, or smart contracts.
Familiarity with one or more blockchain technology models, such as EVM, UTXO, or Move.
Experience with large-scale data processing, stream processing, databases, messaging systems, caching, or search systems.
Experience in fintech, risk control, security, e-commerce, advertising, recommendation systems, or other complex internet businesses.
Proven examples of using AI tools to solve real problems and turning solutions into engineered or scalable capabilities.
Ability to work in English, or experience building global and multi-region systems.
Demonstrated technical judgment, business impact, or zero-to-one ownership in previous projects.
The Kind of Candidate We Hope to Meet
You can clearly explain the most complex problem you have solved, how you formed your judgment, and how you drove the solution to completion.
You have one or more clear strengths. We do not expect experience in every area, but we value meaningful depth or exceptional potential in at least one direction.
You are willing to understand users and business context instead of passively receiving requirements.
You are open to unfamiliar domains and can use AI and team collaboration to close knowledge gaps quickly.
You remain constructive in changing or uncertain environments and can keep moving work forward.
Why Join Us
Build core onchain data infrastructure for OKX Web3, directly supporting global users and multiple strategic businesses.

WHO ARE WE?
Cohere is the leading security-first enterprise AI company. We build cutting-edge foundation AI models and end-to-end products that are designed to solve real-world business problems.
We’re training and deploying frontier models for enterprises who are building AI systems. We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI and we are looking for folks that want to be part of that.
We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. Cohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are all passionate about their craft.
We are a global technology company headquartered in Toronto with key offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul. Join us!
Why this role?
In this role, you will have ownership of the full sales cycle - from identifying leads to closing deals with Global 2000, large enterprises within Eastern Canada. We’re looking for an approachable and compelling communicator who loves working with prospects to uncover their needs and feels comfortable developing tailored value propositions around how Cohere’s platform can help them achieve their business goals. You’ll lay the foundation for Cohere’s growth by owning your territory and collaborating with teammates across customer success, sales development, marketing, and solution architecture. You’ll be the voice of the field and help our product and engineering teams prioritize the Cohere roadmap with customer-centric care. It’s a highly self-directed role, so you should be someone who thrives in an unstructured and quickly evolving environment. And your opportunity for impact will be astronomical — Cohere has skies-the-limit potential, and you’ll help us reach it.
As an Account Executive you will:
- Focus on net-new logo acquisition via outbound activity and relationship building with key stakeholders while also bringing a strong network of key decision-maker and influencer contacts to drive strategic partnerships and win sales opportunities
- Work closely with customers and prospects as a consultative, trusted advisor who deeply understands their challenges and goals, their technology ecosystem, and will tailor solutions to drive measurable impact for their businesses
- Work in close partnership with channel partners to find opportunities to scale outreach and customer satisfaction in your region
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams as well as customer success on strategic motions to deliver solutions to large enterprise customers
- Collaborate with Sales Development Representatives to drive top of funnel activity
- Own the full sales cycle – from initial outreach through proof-of-concept, deal close, and deployment ; this is not a transactional sale that you can walk away from after the contract is signed but rather requires ongoing oversight of the project to ensure success
You may be a good fit if you have:
- 8-12+ years of previous B2B sales experience with Global 2000 and large enterprises negotiating and closing transformational multi-year (2-5 year) SaaS deals in the 7 figure range, and a track record of high performance and exceeding quota
- Previous experience as a technical consultative salesperson, selling complex products, such as developer tools, API products, or AI / NLP solutions, are a plus.
- Previous experience working with customers during the deployment phase of the engagement, aligning on how best to configure and customize the solution that supports success in production and builds trust to set up for expansion and growth
- Previous experience working with channel partners such as cloud hyperscalers and system integrators to drive sales cycles and hit shared revenue goals
- High tolerance for ambiguity - as an early sales hire, you’ll have to be a self-starter, doer and a strategist who is capable of wearing many hats and doing what it takes to figure out a path to success
- Curiosity - you want to go deep on NLP and become an expert on our technology while considering how to fit into a large organization’s technology landscape
- Fantastic communication skills - you are a great listener, have a knack for understanding what matters most to others, build strong relationships, can speak to the c-suite, and feel comfortable speaking to both technical and non-technical audiences
Additional Requirements:
- Deep understanding of the enterprise landscape, including key trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Ability to articulate the value of AI and NLP solutions in the context of Fortune 2000 operations.
FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES AT COHERE ENJOY THESE PERKS:
- A weekly lunch stipend of $75/£75 or equivalent in your local currency for lunch.
- Full health and dental benefits, including a separate budget for mental health.
- RRSP matching, 401K, Pension Scheme.
- 100% Parental Leave top-up for up to 6 months, for either parent.
- Annual enrichment benefits:
Arts & culture, fitness/wellness, quality time, and a workspace improvement credit.
Education & learning stipend for conferences, courses, and coaching.
- 6 weeks of paid vacation (30 working days!)
- Budget for traveling to other offices if you are remote, plus an annual company offsite.
HOW AND WHERE WE WORK:
- Cohere is remote-friendly, but we also have offices in Toronto, London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul with more opening soon.
- For those in the office: a daily lunch program, plenty of snacks, and regular community and social events.
- For those not near an office: a co-working benefit so you can work alongside others in your city.
- Everyone receives a $500 home office stipend to set up your workspace properly.
If any of the above doesn’t line up exactly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply.
We strive to create an inclusive work environment for all; we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to providing equal opportunities. Should you require any accommodations during the recruitment process, please submit an Accommodations Request Form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/12a6IrLdF3kI2nonKSr4tiFuz18rLQbaeYV-JM9L4o9Q/edit, and we will work together to meet your needs.
We may use AI-enabled tools to screen and assess applicants against the criteria for this position. This helps our recruiters identify potentially qualified candidates, but it doesn't limit the applications our recruiters may review or consider.
Beware of Scams: Cohere will never ask for payment or third-party services (e.g., CV writing) as part of our hiring process. All legitimate roles are listed on the Cohere careers page and LinkedIn only, with all communications from Cohere employees coming from an @cohere.com or @cw.cohere email alias. Hi, I'm Paul, VP of Engineering at
Customer.io
. We're looking for a staff product engineer — not a generalist who happens to touch frontend and backend, but someone who thinks like a product owner and ships like an engineer.
About
Customer.io
Over 9,000 companies — from scrappy startups to global brands — use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day.
Customer.io
powers automated communication that people actually want to receive.
We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data. Under the hood: Go, React, and AI help us ship fast and scale with confidence.
What We Value
End-to-end ownership
You take on the problems nobody's claimed — the ones that span squads with no obvious owner — and carry them from a fuzzy first conversation to what's actually live. If it touches the customer, it's yours to chase down.
Comfort in ambiguity
Half-formed problems and conflicting signals are your starting material, not a blocker. You define the problem before you solve it, form a point of view on what's worth building, and move without waiting for someone else to de-risk the call.
Customer-first, always
You think from the customer's problem backward, not the codebase forward. Every technical call traces back to what it does for the person on the other end of the message — and you can explain that connection to people who don't write code. Given the choice, you ship the thing that changes their experience, not the thing that's merely elegant.
A healthy skepticism for "the way things are done"
You retire practices that have outlived their usefulness, including ones you helped build. Best practices matter — but never more than forward motion.
Force multiplication
Shipping your part isn't the bar. You bring in the right people before a problem becomes theirs to clean up, and you leave enough behind — docs, patterns, delegation — that the team keeps moving without you in the room.
What You'll Do
Own important, ambiguous problems from initial framing through launch and iteration. Set direction, align partners, and stay accountable for the result.
Partner with product, design, and data to shape priorities, scope the work, and define how success will be measured.
Lead technical decisions across the stack, including architecture, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Lead work across teams and systems. Build alignment, resolve technical disagreements, and keep complex initiatives moving.
Improve engineering practices through mentorship, reusable patterns, and clear technical guidance.
Use AI throughout your engineering work, with sound judgment about where it helps, where it falls short, and how its output should be reviewed. Help the team improve by testing new workflows, sharing what works, and identifying useful opportunities for automation.
Participate in an on-call rotation as required, supporting the systems the team builds.
What we're looking for
A track record of leading complex work across teams or systems and delivering meaningful customer, business, or engineering outcomes.
Strong backend engineering experience, with the ability to work across the stack and lead end-to-end technical decisions.
Strong product and technical judgment, especially when the problem or path forward is unclear.
The ability to influence experienced peers and align teams without formal authority.
Experience using metrics, experimentation, and observability to guide decisions and improve production systems.
Regular, hands-on use of AI across the software development lifecycle, with the judgment to adapt as tools change while remaining accountable for quality, security, and outcomes. Experience improving how a broader team uses AI is a strong plus.
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is $200,000 - $280,000 USD (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment. This role also carries a 10% annual bonus target. In addition to base salary, this role includes an equity grant in the form of stock options, so you share in the success you help build.
We know our people are what make us great, and we're committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family. We also offer 16 weeks paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more.

No gotchas, no trick questions - just a clear, human process designed to help both of us make an informed decision.
Application
- We review everyone with care. Tell us why you're interested.
Recruiter Call (30 mins)
- Let's chat about what you're looking for and how we work.
Hiring Manager Interview (60 mins)
- Talk with one of our hiring managers about your working style and a product you've owned end-to-end, plus a short AI-assisted coding exercise.
System Design Interview (60 mins)
- A collaborative conversation that moves between product tradeoffs and system design — how you'd scope something ambiguous and how you'd build it.
Take-Home Assignment
- Complete a short, realistic task similar to what you'd work on here.
Assignment Review Call (60 mins)
- Walk us through your work and discuss tradeoffs, priorities, and how you'd iterate.

Maintain working knowledge of company products sufficient to communicate credibly with external stakeholders (law enforcement, legal representatives).
Support your Manager on process improvements, projects, and cross-team initiatives as needed.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Ensuring daily operations run smoothly; escalate incidents to your Manager and relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
Monitor SLA, backlog, and error-rate KPIs; identify trends and quality issues before they become escalations.
Conduct weekly/monthly performance reviews with team members, distinct from informal 1:1s.
Coordinate with L&D on training and re-training needs identified through performance monitoring.

Plan team shift schedules to maintain 24x7 coverage, and manage shrinkage against plan.

Prior experience leading or supervising a team, comfortable holding others accountable.

Join us as a Head of Data Platform.
Requirements
:
Education & Experience:
— MSc in computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics or another quantitative field; PhD is a plus, not a requirement — research-grade methodology sits with the Quantitative Researcher
— 5+ years in data engineering / analytics, incl. lead / management experience; built a trading / financial data platform from zero at a crypto exchange, HFT / electronic-trading firm, market maker, or trading fintech. Bank / enterprise-DWH background alone does not qualify
— Personally carried production ownership of money data — trades, balances, positions, P&L — where a data error is a financial error
Core Technical Skills — data platform:
— Hands-on today: designs and ships pipelines personally — advanced SQL and Python; ClickHouse (or kdb+ / comparable columnar OLAP) in production
— Streaming and batch in one architecture: Kafka or equivalent, event feeds with second-grade freshness alongside hourly aggregates; trading-day logic — metrics counted within a trading day that starts and ends at a fixed morning hour, with an automatic daily reset
— Optimizes data footprint and computational overhead across every stage: selects the tech stack, partitioning logic, and execution flow based on cost-to-performance impact
— Data-correctness engineering: reconciliation, idempotent backfills, late / duplicate event handling, data-quality monitoring and lag alerting
— Vendor and API integration: institutional market-data providers (Kaiko / Amberdata class), exchange APIs, FX feeds; schema design and documentation others can build on
Core Technical Skills — analytics & applied math:
— Applied statistics at a working level: distributions, hypothesis tests and confidence intervals, correlation vs causation, time-series and aggregation pitfalls (session boundaries, survivorship, outliers) — enough to catch a methodological error in an analyst's query or notebook, and to have designed or reviewed metric / experiment methodology in past roles
— Metric and semantic design: one written definition per metric (P&L, uptime, spread, fill rate) enforced across every report; analytical data models (marts / star schemas) that make those definitions computable and cheap to query
— BI stack governance: Tableau / Grafana — performance, access control, versioned metric definitions; reviews dashboards for correctness rather than building them all himself
— ML literacy: understands when a model is — and is not — needed and can supervise applied work; research-grade modeling remains the Quantitative Researcher's mandate
Market & Domain Knowledge:
— Trading data from practice, not textbooks: maker/taker, fees and rebates, perpetual funding, realized / unrealized P&L, inventory and exposure, order-book depth and spread, slippage, quoting uptime
— Understands the consumers: how analysts, quants and desk heads use the data, and how market-quality / compliance metrics feed liquidity-provider terms
— Has built and run a mixed organisation of data engineers and analysts: separate hiring bars and growth tracks, peer review of queries and dashboards as a standard, methodology documented before a number ships
— Partners with quantitative research: turns the Researcher's methodology into production metrics and dashboards without distorting it; runs the sign-off process with quant and desk stakeholders
— Treats balances and client data as confidential by default: access control, least privilege, audit trail, no raw-data leaks
— Never ships silently wrong numbers: escalates early, cuts scope consciously, flags uncertainty in the data
Mindset & Soft Skills:
— Player-coach: the first months are personal hands-on delivery; scaling through the team runs in parallel, not instead
— Speaks business: reports status in money and deadlines; prioritizes by P&L impact — which dataset unblocks which decision; no jargon walls with management and stakeholders
— Owner of the direction's technical goals, not of a backlog: takes a business problem, decomposes it into tasks, executes and delegates
Responsibilities — Platform:
— Architect and ship the central data warehouse: every trade, position, balance and P&L across all trading services; an hourly contour for BI plus a real-time contour for monitoring; trading-day logic with automatic daily reset
— Build the data layers behind LP terms: market quality (spread, depth near mid price, fill rate, per-order slippage), quoting-uptime start/stop events per maker and pair, external tier-1 benchmarks and FX feeds for regional fiat pairs
— Close the data debt: gaps in realized-P&L coverage, history backfills, broken monitoring services — restore or replace
— Set and hold agreed data-freshness targets and pipeline-health alerting; own schemas and documentation
— Own analytics delivery end-to-end: the KPI rulebook published and signed, financial / attribution / historical-performance dashboards, compliance screens and provider scorecards
— Enforce a single semantic layer: one definition per metric across every report; methodology documented before a dashboard ships
— Quality gate: numbers are reviewed and challenged before they reach management; sign-offs from quant / desk collected per deliverable
Responsibilities
:
— Hire leaders-first and onboard the technical team (~10 people: data engineering, analytics & BI, technical PM) per the approved hiring plan; hand tasks down without losing velocity
— Single interface to exchange tech (requirements, acceptance, freshness targets) and to analytics / quant stakeholders; run delivery in Jira against the approved one-year roadmap
— After the build: run the platform as a service to the direction — researcher-generated tasks, new metrics and pair groups, regular recalibration.

About OKX
At OKX, we believe that the future will be reshaped by crypto, and ultimately contribute to every individual's freedom. OKX is a leading crypto exchange, and the developer of OKX Wallet, giving millions access to crypto trading and decentralized crypto applications (dApps). OKX is also a trusted brand by hundreds of large institutions seeking access to crypto markets. We are safe and reliable, backed by our Proof of Reserves. Across our multiple offices globally, we are united by our core principles: We Before Me, Do the Right Thing, and Get Things Done. These shared values drive our culture, shape our processes, and foster a friendly, rewarding, and diverse environment for every OK-er. OKX is part of OKG, a group that brings the value of Blockchain to users around the world, through our leading products OKX, OKX Wallet, OKLink and more.
About the Opportunity
The Trading Systems team builds the mission-critical order, execution, position, and risk infrastructure that powers OKX’s global trading platform. We operate at the intersection of high performance, correctness, resilience, and scale—where every design decision matters.
We are seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to lead the design and evolution of our trading counter and core trading systems. This role is for an engineer who combines deep systems expertise with strong ownership: someone who investigates root causes, raises the quality bar across the engineering lifecycle, and turns individual learning into reusable team capability.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex, high-performance C++ trading systems.
Design reliable distributed systems, including consistency, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and resilience strategies across system boundaries.
Own work end to end—from technical proposals and design reviews through framework refactoring, implementation, deployment, production debugging, replay, and validation.
Solve low-level systems challenges involving networking, protocols, concurrency, memory management, performance, and operating-system-level behaviour.
Drive architectural improvements by identifying systemic issues and anti-patterns, such as overly coupled or “God Class” designs, and redesigning components with clear responsibilities.
Build proactive quality safeguards, including automated testing, failure-injection scenarios, stability validation, monitoring, and replay-based verification.
Design controlled experiments to validate architectural assumptions and diagnose complex production issues beyond surface-level symptoms.
Work effectively across heterogeneous technology stacks, making sound engineering decisions at language, service, and platform boundaries.
Independently explore and apply AI-assisted engineering practices across code understanding, solution design, cross-review, incident analysis, test validation, and knowledge capture.
Raise engineering standards through thoughtful code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvements to development practices.
Mentor engineers and share practical knowledge through documentation, playbooks, technical sessions, and reusable frameworks.
What We Look For In You
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with substantial experience building production C++ systems.
Strong experience designing and evolving complex systems, with a clear understanding of architectural trade-offs.
Proven knowledge of concurrency, multithreading, network programming, and performance optimisation in Linux-based environments.
Hands-on experience with distributed consistency, high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, or other system-level reliability designs.
Strong understanding of computer systems fundamentals, including networking protocols, operating systems, memory, storage, and runtime behaviour.
A track record of taking ownership proactively, from defining the problem to delivering and validating a robust solution.
Exceptional debugging and analytical ability, with a habit of investigating why issues occur—not simply applying short-term fixes.
Experience using automated tests, simulation, replay, or comparative experiments to validate system behaviour and reliability.
Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset; able to turn experience into documentation, standards, and practices that help the whole team.
Nice to Haves
Experience with exchange, brokerage, trading counter, order management, execution, market data, or other low-latency financial systems.
Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, or high-throughput distributed platforms.
Familiarity with Rust, Java, Go, Python, or other languages used in multi-language production environments.
Practical experience applying AI tools to improve software engineering workflows and code quality.
Experience working with globally distributed, cross-functional engineering teams.
Perks & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events
Wellness and meal allowances
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
