About the Role
We're looking for a technical lead who can own the frontend across OKX's core crypto business verticals. You'll be deeply involved in the full frontend delivery lifecycle across Trading, Web3, Payment, and beyond — not just writing code, but helping teams and products find the right direction, make the right calls, and execute with speed and precision.
This role demands the rigor of an engineer, the strategic thinking of a product manager, and the market instincts of a crypto practitioner. You don't need to carry a full-stack title, but you must genuinely understand frontend, have enough backend fluency to hold your own in architecture discussions, and — above all — understand the business.

Who You Are:
You're a product leader who has spent years in the trenches with institutional clients, guiding them through complex technical integrations — and you've come out the other side knowing where those efforts succeed, stall, or fall apart. You understand the client journey across sales, testing, and eventually go live.
As Director, Product Manager Institutional Platform, you will own the end-to-end experience of enterprise clients integrating with Galaxy's institutional custody and trading services. You'll work hand-in-hand with clients' technical and operations teams, as well as Galaxy's engineering, trading, operations, and client service organizations, to make every integration smoother, faster, and more predictable than the last — and you'll turn what you learn into documentation, tooling, and support resources that scale.
What You’ll Do:
Own the product experience for enterprise clients using Galaxy's institutional custody and trading platform, from initial technical scoping through go-live and steady-state usage.
Act as the primary product point of contact for clients during integration, translating their requirements across market data, order entry, trade reconciliation and settlement, and post-trade reporting into clear technical and product specifications, always keeping an eye towards best in class UX and repeatable processes.
Partner directly with client engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot integration issues, unblock technical dependencies, and keep complex, multi-workstream onboardings on track.
Collaborate closely with engineering, trading, operations, and compliance to ensure the platform's APIs, workflows, and tooling meet the real-world needs of institutional clients integrating for custody, staking, and trading.
Identify recurring friction points across client onboardings and drive the roadmap for internal tools and platform improvements that reduce integration time and support burden.
Own and continuously improve Galaxy's client-facing documentation — API references, integration guides, runbooks, and FAQs — so clients can self-serve wherever possible.
Define and track metrics for onboarding health (time-to-integration, support ticket volume, client satisfaction) and report progress and blockers to product and business leadership.
Represent the voice of the client internally, ensuring product and engineering prioritization reflects real integration/usage pain points and institutional client needs.
What We’re Looking For:
10+ years of experience in product management, solutions engineering, or a related technical role, with a meaningful portion of that in digital assets.
Direct, hands-on experience managing enterprise clients through technically complex integrations.
Familiarity with custody and staking workflows in the digital assets industry, and the operational and security considerations unique to them.
Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous or highly technical client requirements into clear specifications, documentation, and product priorities.
Track record of building or substantially improving client-facing documentation, developer guides, or support resources.
Excellent stakeholder management skills — comfortable working directly with client technical teams and internal engineering, trading, and operations stakeholders simultaneously.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent client relationships without losing sight of the details.
Bonus Points:
Experience at a crypto exchange, custodian, prime broker, or institutional trading platform.
Background in technical writing or developer experience (DX) roles.
What We Offer:
Competitive base salary and discretionary bonus
Hybrid/Flexible Working Arrangements
Flexible Time Off (paid)
3% 401(k) company contribution
Company-paid health and protective benefits for employees, partners, and other dependents
Generous paid Parental Leave
Competitive family planning benefits for US employees
Opportunities to learn about the Crypto industry
Smart, entrepreneurial, and fun colleagues

- Platform scalability, reliability, and performance
- Act as the senior authority for cross-platform dependencies, integration decisions, and system-level trade-offs

The successful candidate will be a key member of iCapital’s Performance and Risk Management team, accountable for the enterprise-wide risk management, regulatory compliance, and safety and resilience programs of the firm and the design, oversight, and effectiveness of the firm’s global AML, KYC, sanctions, anti-financial crime, and customer due diligence framework.
This leader will oversee the integration of regulatory and compliance functions with a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework, ensuring iCapital continues to operate with strong governance, disciplined risk oversight, financial crime risk management capabilities, and regulatory credibility as the business scales globally.

The CRO will serve as the principal risk advisor to senior management and the Board, ensuring that risk, compliance, AML/KYC, financial crime, resilience, and governance considerations are embedded into strategic planning, product development, acquisitions, and geographic expansion initiatives.

Regulatory Engagement: Serve as the senior executive representative for regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries, maintaining strong, credible relationships with regulators and external advisors.
Financial Crime, AML & KYC Leadership: Ensure the design and effectiveness of controls for identifying, assessing, mitigating, and reporting money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions, fraud, and other financial crime risks.
Enterprise Risk & Governance Leadership
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM): Design, evolve, and execute iCapital’s enterprise risk management framework, including risk appetite, governance, assessment, and reporting across all business lines and geographies.
Risk Governance: Provide oversight through established governance forums, including the Board‑level Audit & Risk Management Committee, Corporate Risk Management Committee, and operational risk working groups.
Risk Assessment & Monitoring: Maintain and enhance the enterprise risk register, integrating Risk Control Self‑Assessments (RCSAs), risk appetite metrics, and issue management into a consistent, scalable framework.
Executive & Board Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for senior management and the Board on risk‑related matters, delivering clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
Risk Controls, Assurance & Audits
Controls Framework: Partner with Finance, Technology, Legal, and Operations to strengthen internal controls, including IT General Controls (ITGCs), ICFR, and operational controls.
SOC 2 & Assurance: Oversee SOC 2 audits across business lines, managing auditor relationships, evidence collection, remediation, and ongoing control maturity.
Technology & Data Risk: Collaborate with Technology and Security teams to manage platform, data protection, and information security risk in a technology‑enabled business model.
Safety, Resilience & Incident Management
Business & Technology Resilience: Ensure the firm’s ability to continue delivering critical services through disruption by maintaining approved business continuity and disaster recovery plans, validated through regular testing.
Incident Management: Oversee a centralized enterprise incident management framework, including escalation protocols, response playbooks, and crisis communications.
Life Safety & Physical Security: Provide oversight of physical security, life safety, and emergency preparedness programs across offices, travel, and firm‑sponsored events.
Leadership & Team Development
People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop global teams across risk management and compliance functions, fostering a culture of accountability, partnership, and continuous improvement.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Legal, Technology, Product, and Business leaders to embed risk awareness into decision‑making while enabling growth and innovation.

Deep, hands‑on experience with alternative investments, including regulatory treatment, product structure, and distribution considerations
Demonstrated executive accountability for AML, KYC, sanctions, customer due diligence, financial crimes compliance, and broader regulatory compliance programs operating across multiple jurisdictions.

Strong knowledge of U.S. securities regulation (SEC, FINRA, Advisers Act, Investment Company Act), AML and financial crimes requirements (Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC), and familiar with international frameworks such as AIFMD and MiFID
Credible, confident leader with the judgment and independence to challenge constructively and advise senior leadership and the Board
Able to translate complex regulatory and risk concepts into practical, scalable solutions aligned with business strategy
Proven track record building and leading large, global teams and influencing outcomes across complex matrixed organizations.

OKX is part of OKG, a group that brings the value of Blockchain to users around the world, through our leading products OKX, OKX Wallet, OKLink and more.
About The Opportunity
OKX is building local exchange businesses from the ground up across multiple emerging and high-growth markets. We are looking for a product leader who has driven a complete 0-to-1 cycle in a priority overseas market — someone who will own the product strategy and local growth playbook for a specific region or country, and be directly accountable for product competitiveness and business growth outcomes in that market.
This role sits at the intersection of the Local business team and Global product and engineering. You'll go deep into the local market — translating user profiles, regulatory landscapes, and competitive dynamics into product and growth strategies — while driving Global product and engineering resources to deliver locally, ensuring the product experience and competitiveness actually take off on the ground.
We are not prescriptive about which specific region you've built in previously — LatAm, Southeast Asia, Turkey, MENA, or others are all relevant. What matters is that you have personally built a business in an emerging market, closed the growth loop, and can transfer that methodology to OKX's priority regions.
This is a product leadership role, not a country general manager role — but you need to operate with near business-owner accountability: responsible for the region's core growth metrics and product competitiveness, not just shipping features.
What You’ll Be Doing
Regional Product Strategy & Local Growth Planning
Own product strategy and local growth planning for a specific region or country, working across the Local business team and Global product and engineering to be directly accountable for local product competitiveness and business growth outcomes.
Develop a deep understanding of local user profiles, legal and regulatory frameworks, competitive landscapes, and cultural nuances, and translate these into a comprehensive product competition strategy and channel growth strategy with clear prioritization.
Continuously track the local crypto and fintech ecosystem — with a focus on global players and regional leaders across exchanges and fintech — as well as macro factors such as inflation, currency depreciation, and cross-border remittance demand that shape user trading behavior.
Local Product Experience & Competitiveness
Own the end-to-end local product experience and competitiveness, covering onboarding, fiat deposit, market analysis, trading, and earn — the core stages of the user journey.
Build a comprehensive local product feedback loop — from user behavior data and funnel analysis, to local user feedback collection — to identify key bottlenecks and high-leverage opportunities in conversion, retention, and engagement, and drive iterative improvement.
Adapt to local market characteristics (inflation-driven demand, competitor switching costs, payment method preferences, etc.) to reduce drop-off from registration to first trade and shorten time-to-first-trade.
Channel Growth & Cross-team Collaboration
Work with local teams to identify effective user acquisition channels; lead the discovery, introduction, integration, and scaling of high-impact channels.
Leverage your local network — KOLs, fintech partners, payment providers, regulatory contacts — to accelerate market entry and growth.
Collaborate closely with regional BD, Marketing, Operations, and Global product and engineering to ensure product initiatives align with local growth objectives.
What We Look For In You
0-to-1 business building and growth experience in an emerging market
(e.g., LatAm, Southeast Asia, Turkey, MENA, or similar) — you can clearly articulate the regional metrics you owned and the business outcomes you delivered. You held a product, strategy, or growth role during the early stage of an international expansion at a tech company or at a high-growth local champion in the region.
Comprehensive business growth and user growth methodology
— you have fully owned a user funnel (acquisition → activation → retention) and can speak to results with data: CAC, activation rates, D7/D30 retention, LTV, reactivation. Your work was growth experimentation and product intervention, not just media buying.
Strong product management capability
— you can define product strategy and success metrics, prioritize a roadmap, drive A/B testing, and collaborate with product and engineering to deliver. This is a product leadership role, not a GM or pure growth marketing role.
Proven cross-functional collaboration
— able to drive alignment across teams (design, engineering, data, commercial), manage external partnerships, and navigate regulatory conversations. Effective at aligning resources between Local and Global organizations.
Deep local market knowledge and an established local network
— you understand local user behaviors, payment ecosystems (e.g., PIX, SPEI, Mercado Pago, UPI, GCash, DANA, M-Pesa, depending on region), regulatory environments, and competitive dynamics. You have partners, KOLs, and industry relationships in the region that you can activate.
Consumer product management experience
in fintech, crypto, or trading preferred. Candidates with experience managing or mentoring product teams will be considered for the Senior Product Director level.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Mandarin is a strong plus for effective collaboration with HQ teams.
Nice-To-Haves
Proficiency in a local language relevant to the target region (Spanish, Portuguese, Bahasa Indonesia, Arabic, Turkish, etc.).
Crypto exchange product experience — spot/derivatives trading, order types, fee structures, token listings, and fiat on/off-ramp flows.
Familiarity with local payment rails and fiat-to-crypto conversion flows in emerging markets.
Hands-on trading experience in FX, equities, or crypto.
Perks & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events

Wellness and meal allowances
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants

Who We Are
At OKX, we believe that the future will be reshaped by crypto, and ultimately contribute to every individual's freedom.
OKX is a leading crypto exchange, and the developer of OKX Wallet, giving millions access to crypto trading and decentralized crypto applications (dApps). OKX is also a trusted brand by hundreds of large institutions seeking access to crypto markets. We are safe and reliable, backed by our Proof of Reserves.
Across our multiple offices globally, we are united by our core principles:
We Before Me
,
Do the Right Thing
, and
Get Things Done
. These shared values drive our culture, shape our processes, and foster a friendly, rewarding, and diverse environment for every OK-er.
