About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

. We're now preparing to deliver billions of dollars a year to people in extreme poverty, if funding allows.
Read our CEO's essay
on what that will take.
About this role:
Are you an experienced engineer at the stage of your career where, above all, you want to do good?
This role is about using engineering to support fundraising: delighting our donors; helping our fundraisers; getting donations recorded and safely started on their journey to our recipients; telling donors and the public about what happens to their gifts. A bit of website development. A lot of plumbing.
The good news about
this
position:
You will make a difference to people in extreme poverty
You will work independently, with few constraints
You will work directly with lovely people from across our fundraising teams
The trade-offs:
There is only one other fundraising engineer and mostly you will be working on your own
Our technology is a mixture of boring (Laravel, PHP, plain JS, HTML and CSS) and legacy (Salesforce, Wordpress, wrangling CSV files sent by our partners)
We're growing, but this is a role for someone who values depth and impact over a fast title ladder.
The maybe good maybe bad news about the role depending on who you are:
We are all in on AI where it allows us to get more $ to people in extreme poverty
If you want a role where you will be part of a bigger engineering team, working in Python or working on more complex tasks, then please take a look at our

This role is right for you if:
You care about our mission
You agree with
our values
You have the right to work in one of the countries we're able to hire from (you can check the current list
here
).
You're happy working remotely, and taking meetings across East Africa Time and US Eastern Time.
You are happy to travel to meet your colleagues in the US, Europe and Africa a few weeks a year
You are fluent in English
You have 4+ years of engineering experience
You're happy working autonomously: defining what needs doing, doing it, getting it tested and launched, fixing the bugs, and hustling to make progress every day.
You're comfortable being on-call on peak donation days (Giving Tuesday and the last weeks of the year), including owning an incident: working out what matters, communicating with fundraisers, and debugging on legacy and others' code, sometimes when no other engineers are available.
You are happy with our boring and legacy technologies (Laravel, PHP, plain JS, HTML, CSS, Salesforce, Wordpress, SQL, wrangling csv files etc). You don’t have to be experienced in all of them, but you do have to be genuinely happy to use them (many engineers are not…).
You are happy and skilled at working directly with non-engineers on messy, poorly defined, rapidly changing, sometimes boring tasks

Use AI tools and agents to support engineering workflows and incident triage, reviewing their output while engineers retain responsibility for decisions.
What you’ll bring
Experience leading an observability, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering team operating at scale, including supporting people in a distributed, asynchronous environment.
Technical knowledge of metrics systems such as Prometheus and long-term storage, logging platforms such as Elasticsearch or cloud-native services, and alerting design.
Experience using SLOs, error budgets, and capacity forecasts to make reliability and investment decisions.

Experience participating in and improving production on-call rotations, including incident coordination and balancing operational load with project work.
The ability to explain technical tradeoffs to engineering partners and other stakeholders.
Experience using AI tools or agents in engineering or management work; you can describe how you would apply them to operational problems such as incident triage.

About Osano
Osano is an innovative B-Corporation built around a simple belief: privacy is a fundamental right. Since day one, we’ve been focused on giving modern enterprises the ability to innovate quickly, stay competitive, and earn customer trust by respecting data privacy and complying with consent guidelines. Our products help organizations operate confidently in a rapidly evolving regulatory and technological landscape.
About the Role
Osano is looking for a
Demand Generation Manager
to help build and execute programs that create awareness, generate qualified pipeline, and ultimately drive revenue growth.
This is a
hands-on individual contributor role
for someone who enjoys both the strategic and executional sides of demand generation. You'll own campaigns from idea through execution and measurement, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Content, Product Marketing, and Revenue Operations to reach the right audiences with the right message at the right time.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable digging into performance data, experimenting with new approaches, and continuously improving how we generate and convert demand. You'll have meaningful ownership over your programs without direct people-management responsibilities.
What You'll Do
Develop and execute integrated demand generation campaigns and programs end to end to drive qualified pipeline against Osano's revenue goals.
Build multi-channel programs across email, paid media, content syndication, sponsorships, webinars and events, content, organic channels, and account-based marketing.
Own Osano's in-house paid media program across core and emerging channels like Google/Bing search, LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, and ChatGPT
Partner closely with Sales to ensure campaigns align with target accounts, pipeline priorities, and the needs of the go-to-market organization.
Collaborate with Product Marketing and Content to develop compelling campaign messaging, offers, and assets for key audiences and stages of the buyer journey.
Work with Revenue Operations to ensure campaigns, lead flows, attribution, and reporting are set up accurately within our marketing and CRM systems.
Monitor campaign performance and pipeline contribution, using data to identify what's working, what isn't, and where we should invest next.
Analyze funnel performance across lead generation, conversion, pipeline creation, and revenue to identify opportunities for improvement.
Develop audience segments and targeted programs based on industry, persona, account characteristics, intent, and buyer behavior.
Test and optimize messaging, channels, creative, audiences, and conversion paths to continually improve campaign performance.
Help develop and refine Osano's account-based marketing strategy and execute programs targeting high-value accounts.
Manage campaign budgets and make recommendations on how to allocate spend based on performance and business priorities.
Partner with Marketing Operations to maintain strong campaign tracking, reporting, and attribution.
Stay current on demand generation trends, channels, and tools, bringing new ideas and experiments to the team.
Share campaign insights and results with Marketing, Sales, and other stakeholders, translating performance data into clear recommendations and next steps.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in demand generation, growth marketing, integrated marketing, or a related B2B marketing role, preferably within SaaS or technology.
Demonstrated experience building and executing integrated campaigns that contribute to pipeline and revenue.
Strong understanding of the B2B buyer journey and how marketing programs influence prospects from initial awareness through opportunity creation.
Experience working across multiple demand generation channels, including email, paid media, content, webinars/events, and ABM.
Hands-on experience running paid search and LinkedIn campaigns in the platforms yourself, not through an agency, with a track record of scaling spend efficiently.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign and funnel data and turn insights into action.
Experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms such as HubSpot and Salesforce.
Familiarity with campaign attribution, funnel metrics, lead management, and pipeline reporting.
Comfortable owning projects independently and moving between strategy and hands-on execution.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, stakeholders, deadlines, and priorities at once.
Collaborative mindset and experience partnering closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, Product Marketing, and Content.
Curious and experimental approach—you enjoy testing ideas, learning from the results, and continuously improving performance.
Clear communicator who can explain both campaign strategy and performance to stakeholders across the organization.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success isn't measured simply by the number of campaigns launched or leads generated. You'll help Osano build a demand generation engine that consistently reaches the right audiences and translates marketing investment into meaningful business results.
You'll be successful when you're:
Generating qualified pipeline that supports company revenue goals.
Improving conversion throughout the marketing and sales funnel.
Building repeatable, scalable campaigns rather than relying on one-off tactics.
Giving the team clear visibility into campaign and channel performance.
Using data and experimentation to continually improve marketing effectiveness.
Building strong alignment between Marketing and Sales around audiences, campaigns, and pipeline.
Who You Are
You're equal parts
marketer, operator, and problem solver
. You can zoom out to think about campaign strategy and the buyer journey, then zoom in to build, launch, analyze, and optimize the program yourself.
You're comfortable with numbers but don't lose sight of the people behind them. You understand that great demand generation isn't just about producing more leads—it's about creating the right engagement with the right buyers and turning that engagement into sustainable pipeline and revenue.
Most importantly, you're someone who likes to own your work. You don't need a large team beneath you to make an impact; you're energized by rolling up your sleeves, collaborating across the business, and seeing your ideas translate into measurable results.
Why Us
A well-defined career path that’s not just “climbing the ladder” - learn different competencies, skills, and concepts as you progress and get recognized for it.

Who We Are
We come for the impact, and stay for the culture! We’re a talented, opinionated, passionate, fiercely inclusive, and responsible group of bees. We have conviction and we strive to live
our values
every day. We want our people to do what they truly love amongst a team of highly talented (but humble) peers.
How We Work
We are a fully distributed company, which means we believe it is not where you sit, but how you deliver that matters most. We invest in our people and care about how you orient to our culture and processes. At the same time we imbue a lot of trust, autonomy, and accountability from Day 1. #LI-Remote
Little more about the team:
AI agents at Honeycomb investigate, reason, and act on real observability data. They live in Canvas: the agentic workspace where engineers go to understand their systems.
The Agentic Intelligence team has shipped Canvas, the Honeycomb MCP server, and the Canvas Agent and Canvas Skills surfaces. What we're looking for today is someone who brings deep agent expertise and uses it to expand what the team can build: new agents, new surface area in Canvas, memory, spatial awareness, improved performance on our Bedrock loop.
Honeycomb's data store is fast and accepts high cardinality data; that's what makes agents built on top of it different from anything built on a conventional observability backend. This role is about taking advantage of that building agents that can do things no other observability product can do because the underlying data makes it possible.
Some of this work will start as a prototype. The expectation is that the code makes it through the full arc, from the rough first version through to something that holds up in production.
What you'll do
Design and deliver production-grade agents.
Build agents that investigate, reason, and act on live observability data inside Canvas. These agents must be trustworthy to engineers in high pressure situations, including mid-incident. Take one from rough first version to something that holds up under production traffic.
Own the agent work; support the whole product.
Scope, build, ship, and maintain the agents including the evals that tell you whether they got better or are just different. This role is agent-focused and also includes some fullstack development.
Build agents only Honeycomb can build.
Use a data store that returns high-cardinality queries in seconds to reason over signal a conventional backend can't serve at this fidelity correlating across services, drilling into a single trace, comparing before and after a deploy.
Extend the surface, and decide what's next.
Ship new capability into Canvas, the MCP server, and Canvas Skills memory, spatial awareness, a faster Bedrock loop and make the case for what comes after with working code. Distinguish hype from signal in a field with plenty of both.
Define what "good" means for agents here.
Set the bar: measurable against real evals, maintainable, and honest about their limits.
Example projects
Multiple agents collaborating on one shared Canvas investigation
each claiming a hypothesis, publishing findings, and narrowing the search space for the others so it resolves faster (blog).
Auto-investigation the moment an SLO burn alert fires
the agent forms hypotheses and prepares visualizations before a human looks, cutting mean-time-to-insight for on-call (o11ycon 2026).
Skills that encode a team's domain expertise
e.g. Kubernetes thresholds so agents and human colleagues can lean on them (o11ycon 2026).
What you'll bring:
AI and agent engineering experience.
You've shipped LLM-based systems people relied on in production not demos, not fine-tuned models in a research context. You know where agent systems break and how to design around it.
End-to-end ownership.
On a small team there's no handoff queue. You can take something from rough prototype to production-grade without needing someone behind you to do the durable engineering.
Current judgment, not just past experience.
You have informed opinions about what's shifted in agent design in the last six to twelve months that would change how you'd build today.
Agent architecture depth.
You understand how a fast, high-cardinality data store changes what an agent can reason about, and how to design for that.
Product judgment.
You can look at what the agent layer does today and see what it should do next and make that case with a prototype, not a deck.
Even better
Observability or developer-tools background.
Engineers are your users; you'll ramp faster with fluency in that world, and the work is better.
Familiarity with eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, and prompt engineering.
Base Salary based on level of experience
$250,000
—
$280,000 CAD
What you'll get when you join the Hive:
A stake in our success - generous equity with employee-friendly stock program
It’s not about how strong of a negotiator you are - our pay is based on transparent levels relative to experience
Time to recharge with unlimited PTO
A distributed-first mindset and culture (really!)

As the Brand Design Lead, you will evolve the brand as you create for campaigns, web experiences, and events. Reporting to the Director of Brand & Content, you will be trusted and supported to create daring work that reminds people of the joy of telling stories.

Evolve and extend the Descript brand to show up well in campaigns, web, and events
Lead concept and design for launches and campaigns, from brief through delivery

Enable product, marketing, and sales partners to create on-brand assets without relying on you
Multiply your creative impact
Use AI tools and processes to deliver scale without compromising quality

What You Bring

Strong command of typography, color, and composition
Evidence of building a brand system that scaled beyond your output
Experience directing outside creative partners
Fluency with AI tools to produce and scale work alongside a clear perspective of where not to use them
Preferred Qualifications
Brand work within a SaaS company (especially the creative software space)
Motion, front-end dev, or illustration skills
Experience creating generative brand tooling
Comfort with being on camera and sharing your work publicly
Success In This Role
First 12 months:
Our identity feels evolved because you challenged it, pushed it, and fought for something outside any project brief you were given
You launched a brand campaign that did numbers in your ex-coworker group chat (hopefully for good, but that’s not guaranteed)
Sure, the Descript website is more on brand and converts well, but there are also immersive moments you are genuinely proud of pulling off
You regularly spend time with people around the company you never thought you’d be collaborating with
You shipped something you weren’t proud of, picked yourself up and learned from it
There’s some Descript merch around you that you actually want
The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $185,000. Final offer amounts will carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, location, level, and may vary from the amount above.

Clear written communication skills, with the ability to document test cases, defects, and sign-off criteria for technical and business audiences.
A proactive, organized approach, with the ability to work across IT, Pricing and Order Operations, and Sales and Deal Desk with minimal oversight.
