ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a group of highly experienced engineers. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll spend roughly half your time on technical contribution and half on people management, depending on the need. You’ll work closely with the team to set direction, remove blockers, and foster a strong engineering culture as they tackle complex systems challenges in distributed computing, large-scale data handling, and performance optimization.
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF:
- You have at least 10 years of industry experience, including 3 years in a leadership role
- You’ve built high-performance distributed systems at a large scale
- You have a strong background in cloud infrastructure
- You have strong knowledge of low-level operating system foundations (Linux kernel, file systems, containers, etc.)
- You’re proficient in systems-level languages such as Rust, C, C++, or Java
- You’re an experienced engineering leader who thrives close to the work and enjoys building alongside your team when needed
- You earn trust through technical depth, communicate with clarity, and help great engineers move fast and make sound decisions
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are pragmatic, calm under pressure, and focused on impact

THE ROLE:
We’re looking for a Growth Engineer to own the technical foundation of Modal’s marketing and developer-facing web surfaces: the marketing site, docs site, growth landing pages, high-profile microsites, forms, analytics instrumentation, and the integrations that help users discover, understand, and get started with Modal.
This is a frontend-heavy role for someone with strong product taste, web engineering craft, and a business-owner mindset. You’ll partner with Product Engineering, Design, Data, and Growth to ship polished, measurable web experiences, from high-profile projects like the GPU Glossary https://modal.com/gpu-glossary and LLM Engine Advisor https://modal.com/llm-almanac/advisor to internal tooling that helps teams publish content faster.
When this role is going well, Modal launches new pages, docs experiences, campaigns, and experiments quickly without sacrificing performance, craft, or measurement.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:
- Own and evolve Modal’s marketing site, docs site, and technical web experiences as high-quality engineering systems, not static content
- Build bespoke interactive projects with engineers, turning deep technical work into useful web experiences for developers and agents
- Instrument all public-facing content, all the way from human-facing marketing pages to agent-targeted, self-improving documentation
- Improve internal publishing flows so more teams can ship quality content quickly while keeping the site maintainable
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF:
- You’ve built and shipped modern web applications end-to-end
- You have experience with agentic development flows where agents consume marketing content and docs to help developers build on Modal
- You can build polished, responsive web experiences without needing every detail specified
- You have a business-owner mindset and strong data intuition: you think about conversion, activation, developer trust, speed of launch, and quality of measurement, and the tradeoffs inherent to each
- You’re excited about developer-facing AI infrastructure and building web experiences that feel credible to engineers
- You’re able to work in person in our NYC office
We care more about what you’ve built than years of experience.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Deep knowledge of SEO, AEO, structured content, or agentic discoverability
- Experience with marketing sites, docs sites, or product-led-growth surfaces at a devtools, infra, or AI company
- Familiarity with our stack: Svelte/SvelteKit, TypeScript, Tailwind, Vite, MDX/SVX content systems, headless CMS (Sanity), Playwright/Vitest
- Familiarity with our integrations: Segment, Snowflake, PostHog, Sentry, Algolia/DocSearch, Fillout, Pylon, Ashby
- Experience designing growth experiments, A/B tests, or funnel instrumentation
- A portfolio of polished sites, docs systems, interactive demos, or growth experiments

About
Customer.io
Over 9,000 companies — from scrappy startups to global brands — use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day.
Customer.io
powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.
About the role
Hi, my name is Matt Wensing, VP of Product & Design at
Customer.io
, and I'm looking for a Principal Product Designer. Principal Product Designer is the highest individual contributor design role at
Customer.io
. This person shapes the design vision for the company and influences how design is practiced here — through their own craft, through the standards their work sets, and through the partnerships they build with product and engineering leadership.
Customer.io
is in a transformational moment: executing against a strong current product while redesigning what the product is and how it's experienced by a new generation of builders. This role has to straddle both — delivering quality and coherence in what exists today while driving the vision for where things go.
This is not a management role, but it's a leadership role in the fullest sense. Their influence is felt company-wide — in the product, in the culture, and in who we hire.
About you
You have a fully formed point of view on how AI changes what software means — for the people who use it, the people who build it, and the agents that increasingly operate it. You have the conviction to put that view to work across a product and an organization. You lead through clarity and example, give candid feedback that improves the work, and operate with humility and curiosity even outside your own expertise.
What we value
Leads through clarity and example, not control.
You shape culture through your own practice — not top-down direction.
Candid craft feedback.
You give feedback that improves the work, even when it's uncomfortable.
Humility and curiosity.
You operate with openness, especially in areas outside your expertise.
Amplifying others.
You raise the impact of people across the whole company — not just the design team.
Bias for craft.
You stay close to the work by choice, and that proximity is how you lead.
Some things you'll do
Shape and communicate a design vision for
Customer.io
's product as a whole
— the coherent, long-range picture of what excellent looks like for our customers, brought into rooms where product direction gets set
Drive the strategic direction of Pluma
, our design system — architecture, evolution, deprecation decisions, and the principles that govern how it scales
Close the gap between design intent and shipped product
— stay close enough to implementation to catch divergence, and fix it directly when code is the right tool
Design for builder and developer audiences
— CLI-native flows, API-first onboarding, and interfaces built for people who type before they click
Lead the design of agentic and human-AI surfaces
across the product — develop the philosophy and advocate for the standards
Partner with product and engineering leadership on product strategy
— bring design into the conversation before direction is set, not after
Develop and advocate for
Customer.io
's AI product design philosophy
as a framework the whole team builds from
Lead design review for major initiatives
and bring accountability for quality and coherence across what ships
Develop Staff designers
through direct mentorship, critique, and the clarity of your own example
Contribute to hiring and calibration
— assess candidates with conviction and help the team develop a shared language for what excellent looks like
What we're looking for
10+ years of product design experience
with a portfolio demonstrating design vision and organizational impact, not just individual craft
Track record of
shaping design direction at the company level
— influenced what gets built and why, not just how it looks
Designed for developer and builder audiences
— CLI, API-first onboarding, or infrastructure-native products
Developed point of view on AI and agentic product design
— has shipped AI-native interfaces and can articulate a philosophy on interaction models for agentic and delegated use
Contributed to a design system at the strategic level
— shaped what it should be and shouldn't be, and advocated for those decisions over time
Operates with influence without authority
— track record of aligning product, engineering, and exec leadership around a design direction without a management title
Has raised the craft bar at an organizational level
— through critique culture, standards, and the example others internalize
Executive-level communication
— connects design decisions to customer impact, product differentiation, and business outcomes
B2B SaaS depth
— understands complex, data-heavy products and has opinions about where the interaction model breaks
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. The starting salary for this role is
$245k-$276k USD
, depending on experience and subject to market-rate adjustment. In addition to base salary, this role includes an equity grant in the form of stock options, so you share in the success you help build.
We know our people are what make us great, and we're committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including
100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family
. We also offer
16 weeks of paid parental leave, unlimited PTO

ABOUT NORTH:
North https://cohere.com/north is Cohere's cutting-edge AI workspace platform, designed to revolutionize the way enterprises utilize AI. It offers a secure and customizable environment, allowing companies to deploy AI while maintaining control over sensitive data. North integrates seamlessly with existing workflows, providing a trusted platform that connects AI agents with workplace tools and applications.
WHY THIS ROLE?
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how enterprises harness the power of AI in real-world applications. As a bridge between our core North product and our clients’ engineering teams, you’ll be at the forefront of solving complex problems and securely integrating AI into critical sectors such as finance, healthcare, and telecommunications.
We’re looking for Software Engineers with Applied AI experience who can own the design, build, and deployment of agentic workflows powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), from early prototypes to production-grade AI agents, to deliver concrete business value in enterprise workflows.
You’ll work closely with customers on real-world business problems, often building first-of-their-kind agent workflows that integrate LLMs with tools, APIs, and data sources. While our pace is startup-fast, the bar is enterprise-high: agents must be reliable, observable, safe, and auditable from day one.
In this role, you will:
- Work closely with our enterprise customers to translate high-value, ambiguous business problems into well-framed agentic workflows with clear success criteria and evaluation methodologies
- Lead the design, build, and delivery of LLM-powered agents that reason, plan, and act across tools, APIs, and sensitive enterprise data sources, with enterprise-grade reliability and performance
- Build and ship features for North, our AI workspace platform, working across the full product lifecycle from conceptualisation through production
- Take ownership of scoping and shaping use cases end-to-end, flexing into whatever technical area the problem demands (including frontend) to drive the most effective solution
- Contribute to shared frameworks and patterns that enable consistent, high-quality delivery across customers and teams
- Drive clarity in ambiguous situations, build alignment, and raise engineering quality across the organization
- Travel up to 20–40% to work on-site with customers and partners
You may be a good fit if:
- You have hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade software in Python; you write clean, testable, observable, scalable code
- You've built and deployed highly performant RAG and agentic applications, including agents that plan and execute multi-step tasks using patterns like ReAct or Plan-and-Execute
- You're deeply familiar with the LLM stack: frontier models, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks
- You have a proven ability to build robust evaluation frameworks, moving well beyond trial and error, to measure agent accuracy, safety, and latency
- You’re experienced working directly with customers and can lead technical discussions with enterprise stakeholders, translating ambiguous business needs into concrete technical specs
- You have experience owning the full scope of a use case end-to-end
- You thrive in fast-paced and ambiguous environments and can execute well even when priorities are shifting
It's a bonus if you have:
- Experience setting architectural standards for AI and agentic systems across distributed teams
- Experience flexing into unfamiliar technical areas, such as frontend, when the problem calls for it
- Exposure to regulated or sensitive industry environments (finance, healthcare, telecoms)
- Experience with enterprise security, compliance, or auditability requirements for AI systems
FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES AT COHERE ENJOY THESE PERKS:

Hi, I'm Brian, Senior Director of Engineering at Customer.io. We're looking for experienced engineers who want to own a channel end to end — from the infrastructure that delivers billions of messages reliably, to the product surfaces our customers use to build, send, and analyze their campaigns. You'll work across the stack, bringing both systems thinking and product craft to one of the most technically rich problem spaces in the industry.
You don't need email experience to apply.
We can teach you the email domain. The engineers who thrive here are the ones who love learning a deep problem space, not only the ones who arrive already knowing it.
About Customer.io
Over 9,000 companies — from scrappy startups to global brands — use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day. Customer.io powers automated communication that people actually want to receive.
We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data. Under the hood: Go, React, Ember and AI help us ship fast and scale with confidence.
What We Value
Ownership
You own problems end to end. You move fast, act like an owner, and thrive in ambiguity. You've led complex projects before, whether officially or not, and you're ready to do it again.
Engineers with product taste
You think like a user, not just an engineer. You care how your systems power real customer value — and how to make them better.
A healthy skepticism for "the way things are done"
You bring rigor and creativity. Best practices matter — but never more than forward motion.
What You'll Do
Build and evolve the frontend experiences customers use to create, preview, and analyze campaigns — editors, configuration, and analytics dashboards
Design and scale backend systems that process high volumes of messages and events: queue management, retry logic, rate limiting, and real-time event pipelines
Build automated systems that respond intelligently to feedback signals from external providers — classification, suppression, throttling, and health scoring
Partner with in-house domain experts to turn their knowledge into automated tooling — you bring the systems skills, they bring the email depth
Instrument and monitor channel health end to end: signal detection, anomaly alerting, and observability
Own problems end to end — from architecture and schema design to testing, deployment, and monitoring
Participate in an on-call rotation as required, supporting the reliability of the systems you build
Share knowledge and raise the bar through short videos, thoughtful writing, and mentorship
Use AI agents to make multi-file changes by scoping the work, writing the prompt, and verifying the output
What We're Looking For
7+ years of experience building scalable, distributed systems in Go (or similar statically typed languages)
Experience building product-facing frontend features in React or similar frameworks, with attention to UX quality and polish
Experience building or consuming APIs that handle high-throughput async workloads — event streams, queues, and systems that degrade gracefully under load
Comfort integrating with external systems you don't control — third-party APIs, rate limits, opaque failure modes — and designing for resilience around them
Comfort working in cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP)
Familiarity with relational databases (we use MySQL primarily) and an understanding of performance tradeoffs
Experience with observability tooling and operating production systems
A bias for action over perfection, and pride in owning technical decisions
Nice to have:
Familiarity with email infrastructure — deliverability, authentication standards (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), sender reputation, or high-volume sending
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 USD (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment.
16 weeks paid parental leave
,
unlimited PTO
, stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more.

About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

Role Overview
GiveDirectly Malawi has grown steadily since its introduction in 2019 and in 2025 launched our most ambitious program and research agenda yet, delivering funds across an entire district alongside the largest-ever randomised trial on unconditional cash. To deliver our ambitious plans for scale, we are looking for a Human Resources Manager who can operate as a strategic, agile thought partner to the Country Director someone with a strong grasp of Malawi labour law and demonstrated, hands-on experience across the HR lifecycle, who is just as comfortable advising on organisational design and workforce risk as they are personally running payroll and compensation. The HR Manager ensures that GiveDirectly Malawi attracts, develops, and retains the talent needed to deliver on our mission, focus on the strategic and technical work that most shapes the organisation's ability to perform.
The role will reward exceptional interpersonal skills, sound judgement in navigating people and organisational challenges, and a deep commitment to building a workplace where staff feel supported, valued, and connected to the work. As GiveDirectly continues to scale, this role ensures that our people practices are consistent, compliant, and fit for purpose, balancing the pace of a fast-growing organisation with the rigour and care that good HR demands and doing so with the agility to build or improve systems rather than simply administer the ones already in place. The HR Manager will play a critical role in strengthening the infrastructure of the country office, designing and improving systems for recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff development that can grow with the organisation. This position also plays an important role in safeguarding organisational culture and integrity, supporting leadership in upholding GiveDirectly's values and ensuring staff experience reflects the standards we set for ourselves.
Strategic Partnership & Talent Management
Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Country Director on organisational design, workforce planning, and people-related risk
Own the end-to-end recruitment process for all open positions in Malawi, partnering with hiring managers to define role requirements, develop job descriptions, and build targeted sourcing strategies that attract strong candidates from various talent pools.
Lead candidate screening and selection, including structured CV reviews, interview coordination, and skills assessments where relevant, ensuring a consistent, respectful, and efficient experience for all candidates from application through to offer.
Lead periodic salary benchmarking exercises using credible market data and sector comparators, producing clear analysis and recommendations to ensure GiveDirectly's compensation remains competitive, internally equitable, and aligned with local labour market realities.
Drive professional development planning across the team, working with managers and staff to identify individual growth needs, co-create learning plans, and source, coordinate, and evaluate training interventions both internal and external that build capability at every level of the organisation.
Payroll & Compliance

WHY WORK AT HIGGSFIELD AI?
Higgsfield AI is the fastest-scaling generative AI company in history, hitting $1B in annual revenue run rate, 30M+ users worldwide, 6M+ generations per day, and powering 390 of Fortune 500 brands.
We're building at the absolute frontier of AI-powered video creation and next-generation creative tools. Joining Higgsfield means becoming part of a high-impact team shaping the future of AI-native experiences, at a company that isn't just moving fast, but rewriting what fast looks like.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Higgsfield AI is looking for a hands-on Member of Technical Staff, Infrastructure Security to build, secure, and operate the systems that protect our corporate infrastructure, employee devices, identities, and applications.
As we scale globally, you'll own the technical implementation of security controls across identity and access management, endpoint security, SaaS applications, and corporate networks.
Working closely with IT, Security, and Engineering, you'll identify vulnerabilities, implement practical solutions, and automate security operations. This is a highly technical, hands-on role where you'll personally configure, troubleshoot, and maintain critical security systems rather than primarily managing vendors or directing other teams.
We're looking for a well-rounded security engineer with strong technical judgment who can prioritize risks, move quickly, and build scalable security solutions without creating unnecessary friction.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
IDENTITY & ACCESS SECURITY
- Design, implement, and maintain identity and access controls across Microsoft Entra ID and corporate applications.
- Configure and manage SSO/SAML, SCIM provisioning, MFA, Conditional Access, and role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Secure and automate employee joiner, mover, and leaver (JML) workflows.
- Implement least-privilege access and strengthen authentication and authorization practices.
ENDPOINT & CORPORATE APPLICATION SECURITY
- Own endpoint security controls across corporate devices, including Microsoft Intune/MDM, device compliance, and endpoint detection and response (EDR).
- Secure SaaS applications through access management, permissions, provisioning, and configuration reviews.
- Design and implement Zero Trust access controls based on user identity, device posture, and least-privilege principles.
- Identify and remediate security gaps across corporate systems and applications.
SECURITY AUTOMATION & INCIDENT RESPONSE
- Build scripts, API integrations, and automated workflows to improve security operations and reduce manual processes.
- Develop and maintain security monitoring, alerting, and detection capabilities.
- Investigate compromised accounts, suspicious activity, and endpoint security incidents, driving containment and remediation.
- Troubleshoot security infrastructure issues and continuously improve technical controls.
TECHNICAL OWNERSHIP & SECURITY ENGINEERING
- Identify and prioritize corporate security risks, balancing security requirements with business and operational needs.
- Lead technical security initiatives from design and implementation through ongoing operations.
- Partner with IT and Engineering to establish scalable security standards and practical guardrails.
- Evaluate and implement security tooling while maintaining direct ownership of configuration and operations.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in corporate security engineering, IT security, or enterprise security infrastructure, ideally in a high-growth technology environment.
- Proven experience personally implementing, configuring, troubleshooting, and operating corporate security systems.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID, SSO/SAML, SCIM, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint management and security tools, including Intune/MDM, device compliance, and EDR.
- Experience securing SaaS applications, managing permissions, and implementing Zero Trust access principles.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar languages, including API integrations.
- Familiarity with security monitoring, incident investigation, and remediation of compromised accounts or devices.
- Strong security judgment and the ability to independently identify, prioritize, and resolve high-impact risks.
- Broad technical expertise across corporate security infrastructure rather than specialization in a single area such as IAM, SOC, or endpoint management.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• We offer a competitive and thoughtfully structured compensation package designed to align with impact, experience, and long-term growth.
• Base Salary: The anticipated salary range for this role is $200,000 - $300,000, depending on experience, skills, scope, and location.
• Equity: In addition to cash compensation, employees are eligible to participate in the company’s stock option program and share in Higgsfield’s long-term growth. •
• Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees professionally and personally
• The opportunity to work on ambitious AI products alongside a highly experienced, fast-moving, and international team.
• Significant ownership, direct impact, and opportunities for professional growth as the company scales.
This is a hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Team members are expected to work from our San Francisco office three full days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely and are expected to be available during agreed working hours and to maintain sufficient overlap with the relevant team’s time zone. We value in-person collaboration, active communication, responsiveness, and close partnership across teams.
