About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About the Role:
Vercel is seeking a Presentation Designer to own presentation design end to end and help make every deck, from an intimate strategy meeting to a high-profile main-stage keynote, a sharp and compelling reflection of our brand and story.
Presentations are one of the highest-leverage surfaces at Vercel. They are where executives communicate strategy, where product teams tell their stories, and where the company shows up in front of customers, partners, and the press. This role will own the full lifecycle of presentation design, from initial concept through storytelling, visual design, presentation systems, and final delivery across PowerPoint, Figma, Keynote, and Google Slides.
Beyond designing individual presentations, this person will help build the systems, templates, components, guidelines, and workflows that allow presentation design to scale across Vercel. They may also partner with our Design Engineering team to explore and build internal tools that make it easier for teams to create high-quality, on-brand decks efficiently.
You'll work closely with our Creative/Brand, Executive, Product Marketing, Communications, Events, and Design Engineering teams to turn complex technical concepts into visual narratives that resonate with any audience and raise the bar for presentation design across the company.
This role is ideal for a designer who thinks about narrative and hierarchy as much as pixels, can balance high-touch creative work with scalable systems thinking, and knows how to build trust while working directly with senior executives under tight timelines. You'll report to the Director of Creative Design within our Creative/Brand team and will be based in San Francisco or New York City.
What You Will Do:
Own presentation design strategy and execution end to end, leading projects from initial concept through final delivery while staying aligned with objectives, timelines, and brand guidelines.
Design visually compelling presentations that combine storytelling, information design, and data visualization to communicate key messages clearly and memorably.
Build and maintain a cohesive presentation design system, including templates, components, layouts, motion principles, documentation, and usage guidelines.
Develop scalable, branded presentation frameworks across Google Slides, PowerPoint, Figma, and Keynote so teams can move quickly without sacrificing quality or consistency.
Partner with Design Engineering to explore, prototype, and potentially build internal tools that improve how presentations are created, maintained, and scaled across the company.
Establish workflows and governance for presentation assets, making it easy to distribute updates, maintain consistency, and evolve the system alongside the Vercel brand.
Identify repetitive presentation-design tasks and create systems, automation, or tooling that reduce manual work and improve quality at scale.
Build and maintain a consistent visual identity across all presentation materials, ensuring every deck reflects Vercel's brand.
Partner directly with executives and speakers to tailor narratives and visuals to their individual voice, style, audience, and presentation needs.
Integrate multimedia, including animation, video, and interactive elements, to maximize audience engagement during high-stakes moments.
Translate complex technical ideas into clear, engaging visuals, researching topics deeply enough to identify the simplest and most compelling way to explain them.
Iterate quickly on feedback from executives and cross-functional partners, delivering polished, presentation-ready materials under deadline pressure.
Support Vercel's highest-visibility moments, including product launches, corporate events, customer presentations, and executive keynotes, with design that performs on the main stage.
About You:
4+ years of experience in visual communication, presentation design, brand design, or multimedia design.
Expert proficiency in Google Slides, Keynote, PowerPoint, and Figma Slides.
Strong understanding of presentation systems, including templates, reusable components, master layouts, documentation, and asset governance.
Experience building and maintaining scalable, on-brand self-service templates for use by teams with different levels of design expertise.
A systems-oriented mindset and an interest in improving creative workflows through tooling, automation, and close collaboration with engineers.
Experience partnering with design engineers or developers to prototype or build internal creative tools is highly valued.
Experience incorporating multimedia elements such as audio, video, animation, and interactive content.
Experience developing visual narratives for B2B SaaS, developer tools, technical products, or services.
Ability to research and precisely translate complex information into clear and compelling visual narratives.
Adept at customizing presentations to align with different speakers, audiences, formats, and themes.
Proven track record of designing high-impact presentations for main-stage corporate events as well as smaller executive, strategic, and customer-facing meetings.
Experience collaborating effectively with C-suite executives and senior leaders on presentation projects.
Portfolio demonstrating a range of presentation work across different formats, themes, audiences, and levels of visibility.
Evidence of strong project management from initial concept through final delivery.
Track record of maintaining brand integrity across a broad presentation ecosystem.
Bonus If You:
You have motion design or motion graphics skills.
You have experience building plugins, prototypes, automation, or internal creative tools.
You understand front-end development or have experience collaborating closely with Design Engineering teams.
You are comfortable flexing into smaller brand and visual-design projects when time allows.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive compensation package, including equity.
Inclusive Healthcare Package.
Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
Flexible Time Off.
We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.

ABOUT SUPABASE
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Supabase's Partnerships function spans several sub-functions — Integration Partners, Solution Partners, Cloud, Marketplace, and Startups — each of which owns a global strategy for their area. We're looking for a Partner Development Manager, APAC to give those strategies a real presence in the region.
This is a generalist, region-first role covering all partner types. Rather than owning a single function end-to-end, you'll work across all of them — combining new partner development with the activation of partnerships that already exist globally, wherever the region needs it most.
You'll join an established global partnerships team, working day-to-day with our function leads and APAC colleagues and reporting to the Head of Partnerships. You are the connection point between global partner strategy and the commercial, regulatory, and market realities of APAC.
This role is based in Singapore. Much of the work happens in person — building senior partner relationships, being present in the market, and capitalising on co-selling and co-marketing opportunities across the region. As regional partner volume grows, we expect the role to evolve and eventually specialise; you'll help shape what that looks like.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Regional Partner Development
- Identify, prioritise, and close new partners across Integration, Solution, Cloud, Marketplace, and Startup motions where APAC coverage does not yet exist — including smaller regional solution partners and resellers where they open up the market.
- Build and maintain a regional pipeline of prospective partners across all functions.
Partner Activation & Enablement
- Localise and activate globally-sourced partnerships for the APAC market, including regional enablement, co-selling, co-marketing, and commercial terms where needed.
- Ensure existing partner programs and benefits translate correctly to APAC customers, partners, and startups.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work alongside each sub-function lead to translate global strategy into regional execution.
- Flag where global partnership strategy does not fit APAC market conditions, and adapt it together with function leads.
- Represent Supabase at APAC partner and developer events, and build relationships with regional partner organisations.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5–10 years in partnerships, business development, or channel roles, with direct experience onboarding and running partnerships within APAC specifically.
- Demonstrated ability to operate across multiple partner motions — technology integrations, solution/SI, and startup ecosystem — without a single specialist playbook to rely on.
- Experience building a regional function within a company that was previously concentrated in another region.
- Strong commercial judgement across varied partner types and counterparties.
- Comfortable operating independently across a significant timezone gap from the core team, with clear judgement on what requires synchronous alignment.
- Fluent English, with excellent written and verbal communication — including the ability to make a clear case when regional realities diverge from global strategy.
- Background in developer tools, databases, or infrastructure software.
- An established, senior-level network of partner connections in APAC — across technology vendors, systems integrators, and/or the startup ecosystem — that can be activated quickly, with the credibility to engage senior counterparts from day one.
NICE TO HAVE
- Established relationships within AWS's APAC partner organisation (strongly preferred), or GCP/Azure equivalents.
- A second language relevant to the region (e.g. Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or Bahasa Indonesia).
WHAT WE OFFER
- Fully Remote
We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world.
- ESOP
Every team member receives ESOP (equity ownership) in the company. We want everyone to share in the upside of what we’re building together.
- Tech Allowance
Use this budget to set up your ideal work environment—laptop, monitor, headphones, or whatever helps you do your best work.
- Health Benefits
Supabase covers 100% of health insurance for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you are. Your wellbeing and your family’s health are important to us.
- Annual Off-Sites
Once a year, the entire company gathers in a new city for a week of connection, collaboration, and fun. It’s a highlight of our year.
- Flexible Work
We operate asynchronously and trust you to manage your own time. You know what needs to be done and when.
- Professional Development
Every team member receives an annual education allowance to spend on learning—courses, books, conferences, or anything that supports your growth.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Supabase was born-remote and open-source-first. We believe our globally distributed team is our secret weapon in building tools developers love.
- ~400 team members
- 60+ countries
- 20+ languages spoken
- Over $1B raised (including our $500M Series F)
- 540,000+ community members
We move fast, build in public, and use what we ship. If it’s in your project, we probably use it in ours too. We believe deeply in the open-source ecosystem and strive to support—not replace—existing tools and communities.
Location: Oakland, California, United States
About the Job:
LaunchDarkly is looking for a Senior Developer Advocate based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The developer community is deciding right now what the AI era of software looks like, and much of that conversation happens in person: meetups, demo nights, hackathons, and hallway conversations across the city. You'll own our Bay Area presence: which rooms we're in, how often we're there, and what we do with what we learn. That means being in those rooms consistently, as a genuine participant: building long-term relationships with the practitioners shaping how agentic software gets built, bringing their signal back to LaunchDarkly, and showing them, credibly and only when it's relevant, how runtime control changes what they can ship. It's a role for someone who would be going to these events anyway.
Responsibilities:
Show up consistently
: attend Bay Area developer events several times a week (meetups, demo nights, hackathons, conferences), building real relationships with AI and platform engineers over months, not transactions over days
Listen more than you talk
: bring back structured signal on what practitioners are building, where they're stuck, and how they talk about agents, releases, and runtime control
Demonstrate, don't pitch
: build and show small, credible demos on AgentControl and the LaunchDarkly platform, and hold your own when the technical questions get hard
Add to the conversation
: write event recaps and practitioner-grade content that people in the community actually want to read, rather than broadcasting at them
Earn the right to convene
: over time, organize gatherings around problems developers actually have, not around LaunchDarkly as a brand
Feed the team
: route relationships, signal, and opportunities to the owners who can act on them, with enough context attached to act
What Success Looks Like:
LaunchDarkly has a consistent, welcome presence in the rooms where the AI developer conversation is happening, and you decided which rooms those are
Organizers invite you to speak rather than fielding our pitches, and practitioners seek you out at events
Your recaps get shared by people who weren't in the room, and your content draws an audience without paid distribution
What you bring back changes decisions: a play gets adjusted, positioning gets sharpened, a docs gap gets prioritized because of what you surfaced
You've killed or redesigned at least one part of your own plan based on the evidence, and told us afterward
Over time, you're convening gatherings developers attend for the problems on the agenda, and increasingly because you're the host
Qualifications:
Experience in developer advocacy, community, solutions engineering, customer success, or another customer-facing technical role
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with the ability to attend events in person several times a week, including evenings
Technically credible: you can build and demo real things and hold a deep technical conversation without a script
Already active in, or genuinely drawn to, the AI developer scene
A strong written voice: your recaps make people who weren't in the room feel like they missed something
Bonus if you have:
An existing network in the Bay Area developer community
Experience organizing meetups or developer events
Familiarity with feature management, experimentation, observability, or agent frameworks
Pay:
Target pay ranges based on Geographic Zones* for Level 4:
Zone 1:
San Francisco/Bay Area or NYC Metropolitan Area, Boston, Seattle
-
$
152,000 - $210,000
**
Zone 2:

137,000 - $189,000
**
Zone 3:
All other US locations - $
129,000 - $178,000

Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.

ABOUT BUFFER
We create social media and brand-building software for small businesses, creators, and individuals. Our mission is to provide essential tools to help small businesses get off the ground and grow. Through exceptional customer service and uplifting content, we help our customers believe they can succeed and do good along the way.
Buffer is a fully distributed team, and we’ve always aimed to do things a little differently at Buffer. Since the early days, we’ve focused on building one of the most unique and fulfilling workplaces by rethinking a lot of traditional practices. We also default to transparency, so you can read all about our metrics, and our successes and failures along the way on our Transparency Dashboard https://buffer.com/open.
We're united by Buffer's values https://buffer.com/about#values, and we hire and work from all over the world. We strive to create a diverse and inclusive work environment, and we are building a culture where underrepresented groups are welcome and can flourish. Please note that we do travel to work together in person once or twice per year, and those events are highly encouraged to build deeper connections among our small team.
As you get to know Buffer and consider joining the journey, you can learn more about Buffer on our Journey https://buffer.com/journey page. Still curious to learn more about the experience on the Buffer team? Feel free to read more from Kirsti https://buffer.com/resources/first-30-days-buffer/ and Sabreen https://buffer.com/resources/joined-3-days-before-the-retreat/ as they share their first experiences with Buffer, as well as from Hailley https://buffer.com/resources/8-years-at-buffer/, who captured why she still calls Buffer home after 8+ years.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Buffer's next Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you'll join two seasoned Infrastructure Engineers on a small, deliberate, high-leverage team. Together, you'll run the platform that lets every Buffer engineer ship, and that indirectly lets millions of creators publish, grow, and earn a living on the social web. When our infrastructure is fast and reliable, creators get features sooner and outages less often.
You'll own a meaningful slice of three shifts the team is making.
- Keeping the lights on at a higher bar. You'll make our CI/CD pipelines faster and even more anti-fragile, ship boring deploys, and turn each incident into a new lesson rather than a repeat.
- Modernizing the foundation. Buffer is not new, but our Infra is in continuous improvement. From deploying KEDA and Argo Rollouts to improving our signal-to-noise ratio in monitoring, there is plenty to do. One cannot talk about modernization without mentioning AI. We're already leaning on it for investigations and boilerplate, and want to bring it deeper into our day-to-day.
- Treating engineers across Buffer as customers. You'll evolve the developer tooling that makes the inner loop fast, with documentation that holds up at 2am or when consumed by an agent.
We're remote-first with a preference for at least 4 hours of overlap with EMEA time zones, but we're open to strong candidates anywhere in the world.
It's an exciting time to join. Buffer is a profitable, 15-year-old company innovating at the edge of AI-assisted development, and there's lots of impactful work to do.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
In this role, you'll report to Miguel https://www.linkedin.com/in/migueldavid/, the Infrastructure Engineering Manager.
Day-to-day you'll work closely with Peter https://www.linkedin.com/in/peter-emil/ and Steven https://www.linkedin.com/in/stevenc81/, who have helped build the infrastructure we run on since the beginning of Buffer. We're looking to round out the team with someone who sits between infra and developer experience: deep infra expertise paired with an infra-as-a-product mindset.
You'll also work daily with all of EPD (Buffer's unified Engineering, Product, and Design team). EPD are the internal customers of the platform you maintain, and they contribute to it too.
WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON
- Own the day-to-day reliability of our production platform. Keep EKS, ArgoCD, and the AWS surface area boring, tune autoscaling so the system adjusts well under load, and approach incident response in a way that each incident teaches us something new instead of repeating itself. (On-call is distributed across all engineers at Buffer, a week-long shift roughly once a quarter.)
- Build progressive delivery into something the rest of engineering trusts. Implement Argo Rollouts with clean rollback paths, so the time between "this deploy is bad" and "this deploy is reverted" measures in seconds to minutes.
- Build developer tools as products, instead of loose scripts. Evolve our in-house local development environment, BIBEs https://peteremil.com/buffers-bibes/ (Buffer Isolated Build Environments, per-PR full-stack staging deployments), and our CLI tooling so the inner loop is fast, frictionless, and parallel-friendly for AI agents. Measure adoption, talk to your users, iterate.
- Reduce operational toil with AI. Automate low-risk workflows end-to-end so the team spends its time on the hard problems, not the repeat ones. AI doesn't touch infrastructure directly, it speeds up the humans who do.
- Keep the stack current. Drive lifecycle upgrades: application runtimes (Node.js, Python), Kubernetes, EKS, Helm versions, and the Terraform-managed surface area. Own infra-side security vulnerabilities.
- Improve the economics of our platform. Lead visibility work on Datadog, AWS rightsizing, and log filters so observability and cloud spend grow slower than the company does.
- Partner with EPD on the platform they build on. Raise the documentation bar with the team, carry your share of weekly security work (dependency and vulnerability management is everyone's job), and help the infra team grow toward shared ownership and fewer single-person dependencies.
HELPFUL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Very few people match every line here. If most of the core list sounds like you, apply. The bonus list is genuinely bonus.
CORE EXPERIENCE
- You've worked as an Infrastructure Engineer, SRE, or in a DevOps or platform engineering role, on systems real people depended on.
- You've run production Kubernetes. You've authored and maintained Helm charts, tuned autoscaling and resource requests, and kept it standing under real traffic.
- You know AWS and Terraform well. You default to modules, keep the code readable and adaptable, and can say what happens when a plan touches something load-bearing.
- You've operated production CI/CD and GitOps, including a rollback path you'd trust when something breaks in production.
- You've carried the pager for something you built. You've run an incident, written the follow-up, and turned off the alert nobody trusted anymore.
- You've built internal developer tooling. CLIs, dev environments, per-PR environments. You've felt the difference between something that ships and something that gets used.
- You thrive in remote, async environments. You're clear in your thinking and generous with context.
- Slow and flaky bothers you. You ship something rough teammates can react to, then keep going until the whole class of problem is gone, not just the one bug in the ticket.
- You're fluent with modern AI tools. You use them to debug, document, and reduce toil, not just to generate code.
- You make pragmatic build-vs-buy calls, you weigh what things cost to run, and you revisit both when conditions change. You'd rather invest in fundamentals that compound than chase the newest tool.
- You have a personal stake in making and publishing things. What that looks like is yours to choose: writing, video, code, photos, music, a niche account with twelve followers. Audience size is not the point. We're a Team of Creators, and infra gets better the closer it sits to that experience.
BONUS POINTS
- You're already a Buffer user, or you know the social media management space.
- You've worked with Datadog, Sentry, or a similar observability stack, and you design logs and metrics with cost in mind.
- Prior Cloudflare experience across Workers, Zero Trust, and DNS.
- An open source Terraform module or tool you've contributed.
OUR TECH STACK
- Cloud and IaC. AWS, GCP, Cloudflare. Products you'll find in use here: EC2, EKS, S3, SQS, SNS, ECR, IAM, ALB, BigQuery, mostly managed in Terraform.
- Container orchestration and delivery. Kubernetes on EKS, Helm for charting, KEDA for SQS-driven autoscaling. ArgoCD for deploys from git. An in-house canary system that we want to augment with Argo Rollouts. BIBEs and frontend branch deployments for per-PR previews.
- CI/CD. GitHub Actions, with self-hosted AWS runners (including KVM-capable instances for Android UI tests). Our monorepo is the consolidation target, and we're moving more services into it over time.
- Observability and incidents. Datadog for logs, metrics, APM, and spans. Sentry for errors. Incident.io https://incident.io (and a bit of PagerDuty) for the incident lifecycle and postmortems.
- Networking and DNS. Cloudflare across Workers, Zero Trust, DNS, and more. CloudFront for AWS-side distribution. VPC peering for cross-account connectivity. OctoDNS for DNS-as-code.
- Data stores. MongoDB fronted by GraphQL, Elasticsearch, Redis.
- Local development. Hermes (our in-house environment that mirrors production) running in OrbStack, pre-built production containers from ECR.
- Languages and runtimes. Node.js and TypeScript across most services, Python in selected services and tooling, and PHP for legacy services that are still load-bearing and being gradually replaced.

ABOUT SUPABASE
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
We’re hiring experienced performance engineers to make performance measurement at Supabase rigorous, repeatable, and actionable by product teams. This role owns the benchmarking and profiling systems we use to detect regressions, explain performance changes, and publish credible numbers for customers and the market. You’ll build the tooling and the methodology and make it easy for product teams to use it correctly.
You’d join a new performance team as one of its first members, working alongside a deeply seasoned performance engineer, with the team growing to roughly six this year. There’s no legacy process to inherit — you’ll help define how we measure and communicate performance metrics at Supabase.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build and evolve benchmarking, profiling, and load-testing tooling (cloud, database, and end-to-end).
- Define benchmark suites and reference workloads that reflect real customer behavior (and evolve them as the products change).
- Establish performance baselines and regression gates across products (variance tracking, environment control, and detection of changes).
- Build mechanisms that turn benchmark results into action: triage workflows, owner routing, and clear, reproducible reports.
- Partner closely with database teams (e.g. Multigres, OrioleDB) to identify bottlenecks and land concrete performance improvements.
- Enable the company to publish credible, repeatable performance numbers for customers and the market.
- Help teams self-serve performance testing and make performance a first-class engineering concern.
PROBLEMS YOU MIGHT WORK ON
- Build our continuous benchmarking infrastructure so product teams can spot performance regressions early. Ideally, teams can run benchmarks directly on PRs or locally while developing a feature.
- Analyze and eliminate issues with load generators, workloads or benchmark environments to ensure that benchmarks are reliable indicators for actual product performance.
- Build regression triage tooling that pinpoints what changed (diffing, profiles/traces, query-level attribution).
- Help product teams so they can analyze the root cause of performance regressions in benchmark environments themselves.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Deep experience in performance engineering, benchmarking, and profiling of complex distributed systems. Specifically, you have owned benchmarking systems where reproducibility and controlling variance mattered.
- Strong systems intuition (databases, storage, networking, cloud infrastructure).
- Comfortable working across product, infra, and database teams.
- Pragmatic, tooling-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
- Depth on at least one end of that stack: Linux kernel internals (virtual memory, scheduling, networking, IO) or database internals (query planning, storage engines, buffer and WAL management)

We're hiring experienced performance engineers to find and land performance wins across the Supabase stack — from the query optimiser to block device level, and across the network paths and cloud infrastructure that connect our distributed platform. This is a performance delivery role: real, measured improvements to our database, platform, and APIs as we scale toward enterprise and platform-grade workloads. The methodologies you develop and tooling you build exist to multiply that delivery.
You'd join a new performance team as one of its first members, working alongside a deeply seasoned performance engineer, with the team growing to roughly six this year. There's no legacy process to inherit — you'll help define how performance engineering works at Supabase.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Find bottlenecks in live production systems and characterize them precisely enough that the owning team can act on them without you in the room.
- Partner closely with database teams (e.g. Multigres, OrioleDB) and infra teams to land concrete performance improvements.
- Build, communicate, and evolve performance methodologies and tooling that turn live production data into actionable insight.
- Partner with the observability team to capture the right signals and establish a unified view of platform performance (latency, throughput, tail behavior) across products.
- Help teams self-serve performance analysis and make performance a first-class engineering concern.
PROBLEMS YOU MIGHT WORK ON
- Tune the kernel's paging behavior to production workloads
- Reduce memory overhead in OrioleDB and Multigres
- Identify and eliminate sources of latency spikes from application to kernel level
- Identify scalability bottlenecks across the entire stack and work the appropriate teams in Supabase and the wider community to resolve them
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Deep experience in performance engineering, specifically performance analysis of complex distributed systems.
- You can walk the whole stack: follow a tail-latency problem from the query optimizer through the syscall boundary to the IO scheduler — or across pooler hops, network paths, and availability zones — reading profiles and traces at every layer.
- Depth on at least one end of that stack: Linux kernel internals (virtual memory, scheduling, networking, IO) or database internals (query planning, storage engines, buffer and WAL management)
- Strong working knowledge of networking and cloud infrastructure performance: TCP behavior under load, network virtualization overhead, and the performance characteristics of AWS primitives (EBS throughput and IOPS, instance network limits, placement groups, cross-AZ latency).

Location: Home Based - Americas; Home based - EMEA
Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. Our platform, Ubuntu, is very widely used in breakthrough enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation and IoT. Our customers include the world's leading public cloud and silicon providers, and industry leaders in many sectors. The company is a pioneer of global distributed collaboration, with 1200+ colleagues in 75+ countries and very few office based roles. Teams meet two to four times yearly in person, in interesting locations around the world, to align on strategy and execution.
The company is founder led, profitable and growing.
Canonical builds the open-source software that runs the world’s clouds, devices and AI, and we hold our managers to a high standard. Our Talent Development team exists to make leaders and managers at Canonical genuinely excellent. We define what great management looks like here, and we bring managers and leaders up to that standard through direct, hands-on work, both from the centre and embedded inside engineering and commercial organisations.
As a Senior Organisational Development Practitioner you are the person who sets the bar for how coaching and organisational development is practised here. You coach leaders to a clear standard of management excellence. You diagnose how a whole organisation is led and drive the plan to raise it. You develop the practitioners working in the field. It is one of the most senior and demanding Talent roles at Canonical: hands-on coaching and organisational-development craft with real leaders, in a company that expects you to be credible in a room of directors and to earn that credibility fast.
You work both from the central team and embedded inside a leader's organisation for periods, turning what you learn in the field back into how we develop leaders and managers across Canonical.
Location: These are remote based positions, available across EMEA and the Americas.
What you deliver
Raising individual leaders
Coaching leaders to visibly raise their game against a clear standard of management excellence.
Landing the hard conversations, because you coach leaders to make them happen.
Turning 360 feedback into real, followed-through commitments, not a report that gets filed.
Lifting organisations and the company
Leaving an organisation you take on visibly better led, off a sharp first-weeks diagnosis and a plan you own and drive.
Contributing to defining and implementing new ways of working across our globally distributed company.
Building the function and its standards
Developing the practitioners in the field so they get visibly better at their craft under your supervision.
Setting the bar for how coaching and organisational development is done at Canonical: owning what exceptional looks like, proving the methods in the field, and holding the practice to them.
Sharpening the management-excellence standard itself across Canonical, by feeding back what you learn in the field.
What we are looking for in you
Deep, hands-on coaching and organisational-development practice with real leaders and teams, not just programme design.
A track record of measurably changing how leaders behave, with specific examples you can talk through.
Credibility: you can walk into a room of directors and be taken seriously.
Effectiveness operating inside someone else's organisation without formal authority.
A clear and honest philosophy of development: you know where coaching helps, and you are candid about where a role or fit decision is the right call.
An exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Sincere personal motivation aligned with our mission.
Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
In addition we expect that you will match our values, by being:
Precise, taking care to deliver correctness and clarity.
Reliable, delivering high quality work that builds trust and confidence.
Accessible, collaborating to build products and systems that are usable.
Adroit, blending enthusiasm, knowledge, adaptability, style and character.
Nice-to-have skills
A management-consulting background: comfortable with ambiguity, able to diagnose, propose and move.
Experience coaching across a distributed, fast-moving, technical organisation.
Experience building competency or development frameworks.
Experience designing and running effective workshops or training sessions, in person and online.
Learning-design judgment for development materials. We want the design sense; AI handles the production drafting.
Talent-development experience, valued alongside but secondary to coaching and consulting craft.
What we offer colleagues
We consider geographical location, experience, and performance in shaping compensation worldwide. We revisit compensation annually (and more often for graduates and associates) to ensure we recognise outstanding performance. In addition to base pay, we offer a performance-driven annual bonus. We provide all team members with additional benefits, which reflect our values and ideals. We balance our programs to meet local needs and ensure fairness globally.
Distributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person
Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year
Annual compensation review
Recognition rewards
Annual holiday leave
Maternity and paternity leave
Employee Assistance Programme
Opportunity to travel to new locations to meet colleagues
Priority Pass, and travel upgrades for long haul company events

ABOUT SUPABASE
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Release Engineer (SRE) to join our Release Engineering team (part of EngOps) — a production-operations expert who brings an SRE mindset to how Supabase ships and runs, making deploys safe, observable, and recoverable at scale.
Release Engineering's scope has grown well beyond build-and-ship: we increasingly own the operational reliability of the systems that deploy and run Supabase. In this role you'll treat our deployment pipelines, pre-production signal, and the control plane itself as production systems — with SLOs, error budgets, and on-call ownership — and you'll be the person teams lean on when reliability is on the line.
This is not a "gatekeeper" role. You'll make the reliable path the easy path: standardising how we deploy, instrumenting what we ship, and ensuring that when something breaks, we detect it quickly and recover quickly.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
In this role, you'll:
- Own the reliability of Supabase's deployment and release systems, and the control plane they run on, against clear SLOs and error budgets
- Turn pre-production into a trustworthy signal — standardizing and instrumenting today's fragmented, ad-hoc deployment workflows
- Drive disaster-recovery readiness, including making environments reproducibly deployable from scratch (untangling undocumented secrets, unclear configuration ownership, and circular service dependencies)
- Build and operate health and SLO monitoring for critical user flows, using synthetic testing to catch regressions before customers do
- Reduce mean-time-to-detect and mean-time-to-recover for deploy-related incidents — which account for a large share of our incident load
- Participate in on-call, lead blameless postmortems, and turn findings into runbooks, alerting, and automation that remove toil
- Improve deployment observability and auditability — a clear record of what shipped where, when, and by whom
- Document operational procedures — break-glass paths, access models, and runbooks — so reliability knowledge isn't tribal
RELIABILITY & OPERATIONS
- Define and track SLAs, SLOs, error budgets, and DORA delivery metrics — with meaningful alerting over noise
- Ensure deployments fail fast and safely when health checks degrade
- Harden access and break-glass workflows (e.g. scoped self-service) so the right people can act in an incident without unsafe workarounds
- Partner with product engineering and platform teams to align release practices with reliability and availability targets
YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU
- Have 5+ years in SRE, production operations, platform engineering, or release engineering
- Have operated production systems at scale and carried on-call for them
- Are fluent in SLAs, SLOs, error budgets, DORA metrics, and operational KPIs — and the observability tooling behind them (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, or similar)
- Have led incident response with tooling like incident.io http://incident.io (or PagerDuty / Opsgenie), run blameless postmortems, and driven down MTTD/MTTR
- Operate confidently on AWS (multiple accounts, IAM, VPC) in production
- Are comfortable with infrastructure-as-code (Pulumi, Terraform) and Kubernetes
- Script and automate to eliminate toil rather than absorb it
- Communicate clearly with both infrastructure specialists and product engineers
- Thrive in async, globally distributed teams
- Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and iterating toward better systems over time
