About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

Travel:
Approximately 3-4 trips per year, including at least one to a country of operation and one to a key in-person leadership moment.
About this role
We are currently planning for a significant increase in scale, and we are building the People function that can carry it.
This is our first senior talent management role. Today we have pieces of talent management programs and processes in place, but not yet a function. You will build one: an intentional approach to how we onboard, develop, and retain our people. That covers performance management and its link to pay, manager and leadership development, learning, onboarding, talent planning and succession, employee listening and engagement, and culture and values.
The first year is weighted toward four priorities: joining the redesign of our performance system early, alongside the Head of People, and owning it as it moves into execution, as we move to pay for performance, revamping onboarding ahead of our next wave of hiring, planning our values retreat for senior leaders, and getting a read on employee listening and engagement. As those take shape, the balance shifts toward the longer-term build: the vision and roadmap for the function, a foundational manager program, talent planning and succession, and the team around you.
The reason for this weight: the performance system and onboarding are our most acute gaps today, but they should not be construed as a ceiling of the job. We are hiring a senior talent management leader who can shape the whole function over several years, not the owner of one or two programs. If your instinct on reading this is that the performance redesign is the whole job, this role probably isn’t the right fit, and the reverse is also true: if you want to set strategy but not build the first versions yourself, year one will frustrate you.
What you’ll do
Build the talent management function
Within your first 90 days, assess what exists today across these areas, recommend the sequencing for the first year, and agree to it with the Head of People.
Set the vision and multi-year roadmap for talent management across the areas it covers, and sequence the work against the People roadmap.
Propose the team around it, and decide what we build in-house and what we buy or borrow.
Connect talent management to workforce planning, compensation, and recruitment, in partnership with the Head of People, Finance, and function leaders.
Build an approach to talent and succession planning, starting with critical roles: work with leaders to identify succession gaps, assess potential successors, and put development plans in place to prepare people for future opportunities.
Own the performance system
Join the performance system redesign early, alongside the Head of People, and own it as it moves into execution: a system that produces reliable, calibrated outputs to inform merit increases, connected to our new salary bands.
Make the system worth using, not a check-the-box exercise: one that helps managers hold better performance and development conversations and gives employees clarity on expectations, feedback, and growth.
Build calibration and the data around it so ratings and merit decisions stay consistent and fair across countries, currencies, and manager quality.
Set a clear global standard for handling low performance that doesn’t default to a misconduct process, and equip managers to use it.
Ensure the performance system helps managers identify and support sustained high performance, connecting it to recognition, development, and career growth opportunities.
Iterate the system through multiple cycles, using calibration, outcome data, and feedback from managers and employees to improve it.
Build how people join, learn, and are led
Revamp onboarding ahead of our next wave of hiring: own the content and experience for new hires and their managers, working with People Ops on process and systems.
Build a foundational manager program and the tools behind it: feedback, coaching, difficult conversations, and performance management.
Extend into leadership development and broader learning as the function matures.
Shape culture and listen to employees
Plan the values retreat with an external facilitator and our executive sponsor, and own what carries into daily work afterward.
Get a read on listening and engagement today, covering what we hear, where it goes, and what should change, and use it to build our employee listening strategy.
What this role is not
Not a recruiting role. Hiring sits with our Talent Acquisition team. You partner with them on the handoff into onboarding and on how we assess and develop talent once people are here.
Not the owner of compensation design. Pay structures and bands are set through our compensation work. You own how performance is assessed and how ratings connect to pay decisions.
Not an employee relations or casework role. Cases in country belong to managers and HR Managers, supported by the People team. You own the performance system and the manager capability that helps them handle concerns well.
Not the owner of HR systems or process administration. Onboarding workflows and our HRIS sit with People Ops. You own the content and the experience.
Who we’re looking for
Required
7+ years in talent management, performance, or organizational design roles, including time leading a function or a major part of one.
You have designed a performance system, not only administered one. You can show how ratings connected to pay and what you changed after the first cycle.
You have kept a rating and pay system fair across contexts with different currencies, labor markets, and manager quality.
You are a hands-on builder. You have built talent management programs and systems from scratch, or close to it, in a start-up or scale-up: performance, onboarding, manager development, or a whole function, where what you needed did not exist and you built it while the volume was already arriving. We are not looking for steady-state operating experience, or for leaders who have overseen this work without building it themselves.
You think in systems. You can show how a change in one part of a talent system, such as ratings, calibration, pay, promotion, or onboarding, shows up in the others, and you reason from the underlying problem rather than copying another organization’s template.
You design with change management in mind from the start. You plan for how managers and employees in different countries and cultures will adopt a new program or system as part of the design, not as a rollout step afterward, and can show how you knew it stuck rather than being worked around.
You have deep experience in at least two of onboarding, manager development, and employee engagement or listening, and working experience in the third. You have built programs and content people actually used, and can show how you knew they worked.
A track record of joining a major project already in motion, taking it over, and working through disagreement with a senior partner, and of influencing without formal authority in a matrixed organization.
Judgment and prioritization. You decide what slips and say so plainly.
Preferred
Experience in a mission-driven or international organization, ideally alongside high-growth commercial or tech experience.
Experience working across multiple countries, including sub-Saharan Africa.
Experience working with external facilitators, consultants, or vendors, and knowing what to hand off and what to hold.
Comfort using data (survey, performance, calibration) to make decisions, and knowing when the numbers mislead.
Exposure to compensation design or close work with a total rewards team.
Professional French or Portuguese.

IDEO Chicago is seeking an
Experience Specialist
to support the success of design teams and our studio’s internal community from both an operational and cultural perspective. You’ll use your insight and curiosity about needs and challenges to stay a few steps ahead and elevate the bar for how we execute on the client and community experience.
It’s not enough for our values* and belief in design excellence to surface only in the work we do with clients. We expect that the look and feel of our workplace, and the experiences we host at IDEO, will reflect our brand authentically as well. Our Experience Team treats large and small “moments” with equal potential to inspire people. Sometimes this means planning ahead for formal events in order to deliver signature interactions. Sometimes it means shifts in furniture or protocols that refresh our state of mind on a daily basis. Our Experience Team has a “no task too big or small” attitude with a natural inclination to pitch in and get our hands dirty (sometimes literally).
We expect the Experience Specialist to have a “no task too big, no task too small” attitude with a natural inclination to get their hands dirty (sometimes literally).
Once you are here you will:

Be present in the studio to ensure timely preparation, set-up, and coordination of meetings and events (sometimes past normal working hours).
Help prioritize requests for meetings, rooms, and catering and resolve conflicts when necessary.
Help design and coordinate on-brand, hospitality-focused experiences for clients, guests, and colleagues.
Build relationships and a local network especially with caterers, local restaurants, and other food vendors to grow resources for outstanding experiences.
Welcome clients and visitors by helping to coordinate their travel and logistics.
Relevant experience:
At least 2-3 years of experience in a related role.
Experience in hospitality, theatre or stage production or a “concierge” type of role in a design studio, creative consultancy or corporate environment.
Excellent coordination, time management and organizational skills.
Natural ability to prioritize tasks.
Success at managing a high-volume of responsibility in a fast-paced environment.
A “no job too small” mentality.
Enthusiasm for collaborating with a variety of personalities and work styles.

Helpful and empathetic, able to think and react on your feet.
Calmness and resilience, comfortable with handling tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Interest in working in a creative environment.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!

- Strong written communication. You think through the message before you build the slide. Advanced PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Technical fluency. You're comfortable discussing APIs, integrations, environments, testing, and releases. You can talk with engineers and report back accurately.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ramp is looking for ambitious generalists who want to turn difficult customer and business problems into better products and better ways of working.
In Product Operations, you will own a problem space from investigation through execution and measurement. You might uncover why customers abandon a workflow, build an AI tool that removes hours of manual work, or help a product team bring a new capability to customers. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and customer-facing teams, combining analytical rigor with the willingness to do the work yourself.
This role is designed for people who want substantial responsibility. You will build customer understanding, product judgment, technical fluency, and the ability to lead across teams. Strong performance can create opportunities for broader ownership in Product Operations, Product Management, Business Operations, or AI Operations, depending on your strengths and Ramp’s needs. Growth comes from sustained impact, demonstrated readiness, and available opportunities.
*Please note that this Product Operations role will require you to be comfortable with working in-person at our NYC HQ (located near Madison Square Park) at least 2 days/week*
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Ramp moves incredibly fast, and our specific Product Operations needs change regularly. Each Product Operations team member is assigned to a specific product, such as Bill Pay, Procurement, or Travel. Ramp moves incredibly fast, and our specific Product Operations needs change regularly. During the hiring process, we will discuss which product areas are hiring priorities and where you could make the greatest impact.
- Own customer and operational outcomes. Take responsibility for a defined problem, establish a baseline, and follow through until the experience improves.
- Find the underlying problem. Combine customer conversations, operational observations, and data to distinguish recurring causes from isolated symptoms.
- Make clear recommendations. Use your product sense and business acumen to size opportunities, compare tradeoffs, and help product partners decide where a process change, automation, or product investment will have the greatest effect.
- Build and improve workflows. Create practical tools and automations, including AI-assisted solutions, that reduce repetitive work and improve reliability. Validate outputs and measure whether people actually benefit.
- Bring changes into use with empathy. Own operational readiness, internal enablement, feedback collection, and follow-through after a launch or workflow change.
- Lead across teams. Define metrics, establish owners, resolve dependencies, communicate decisions, and keep important work moving when the path is unclear.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 2-6 years experience in banking, private equity, consulting, or in product management or business operations roles at a demanding startup. Level and compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
- A record of taking personal ownership and delivering outcomes beyond the initial analysis or recommendation.
- Strong quantitative reasoning: you can work with messy data, check assumptions, and translate findings into a decision.
- Customer curiosity and practical judgment about which problems matter most and how to solve them. Willingness and instincts to go talk to a customer when something is unclear. Ability to prioritize well and work on the most important problems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to earn trust for your arguments across technical and business teams.
- Resourcefulness, receptiveness to feedback, and evidence that you learn unfamiliar subjects quickly.
- Experience using AI tools to build something or improve a workflow, with a thoughtful approach to checking quality.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience building internal tools, using APIs or low-code platforms,
- Working with financial products, shipping software with AI assistance,
- Owning a launch can help you get started.
- We value the difficulty of the problems you have solved and the results you can explain.

You'll focus on enterprise accounts, with particular emphasis on foundation model labs, AI infrastructure providers, and applied AI companies scaling rapidly in the region, guiding customers through complex digital and DevSecOps transformations and driving pipeline generation that translates into measurable Net ARR and long-term expansion. In this role, you'll act as a key connector between customer stakeholders and GitLab's field organization so GitLab is seen as a trusted, long-term partner across the full sales cycle. In your first year, you'll be expected to build a strong enterprise portfolio across your territory, including a meaningful share of AI-native accounts, create repeatable sales motions, and consistently forecast and report on deal progress and account health.
What you'll do
Drive strategic growth by leading GitLab's enterprise accounts across San Francisco, with a dedicated focus on AI-native companies, serving as a trusted technology advisor to industry leaders in your territory.
Orchestrate winning sales strategies by bringing together Solutions Architects, Customer Success experts, Sales Development, Channel & Alliances, and other technical specialists to deliver transformative, AI-powered DevSecOps solutions tailored to the unique velocity and scale demands of AI-native engineering organizations.
Shape the future of software development by crafting innovative solutions that align GitLab's platform with customers' long-term vision, compliance needs, and business objectives, including the specific infrastructure, security, and governance challenges AI companies face as they scale model development and deployment.
Build deep, strategic partnerships by mastering your customers' industry landscape, success metrics, and growth trajectories, including a strong point of view on the AI/ML ecosystem, so you can position GitLab as their indispensable technology ally.
Design and execute strategic account plans, including opportunity mapping, stakeholder alignment, and multi-threaded engagement, to expand GitLab usage within new and existing strategic accounts, with particular attention to fast-growing AI companies and their evolving technical buying committees.
Lead end-to-end customer journeys from initial discovery through evaluation, negotiation, and successful implementation, ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience at every stage of the sales cycle.
Champion continuous improvement by contributing to forecasting and pipeline reviews, conducting sophisticated win/loss analyses, and sharing strategic insights, including emerging trends in AI company buying behavior, that refine our go-to-market approach.
Prepare and deliver compelling customer-facing and internal presentations, proposals, and recommendations that clearly communicate value, business outcomes, and the path to long-term partnership with GitLab.
What you'll bring

Ability to drive new business acquisition and expansion within enterprise accounts through consultative, multi-stakeholder sales motions that lead to sustainable, long-term customer partnerships.
Experience collaborating with channel and strategic partners to generate pipeline, co-sell, and support successful customer adoption.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead account strategy, influence internal and external stakeholders, and remain calm under pressure.
Ability to work in line with GitLab's values, use GitLab and Salesforce in your daily work, and travel as needed while following company travel policies.
