ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ramp believes that AI-powered CX organizations are the future and we are racing to build the best one in the world. Our goal is for our team to work hand in hand with AI agents to drive superlative customer outcomes and the highest-velocity AI improvement engine in the business.
This role will own the strategy and ops teams that are making that transition a reality while still delivering 24/7/365 support for our 85,000+ customers every day. You will work with the Head of CX to set the goals, measure what matters, and build the systems and programs that push the team forward. You’ll manage a small and mighty team across Business Operations, CX Analytics, Workforce Management, Learning & Development, and CX AI Operations to accomplish your goals.
We believe every CX frontline specialist has a role to play driving forward the performance of our AI agents - it is not work reserved for a dedicated AI team. Each specialist needs to be trained, coached, scheduled, and rewarded for continuous work of closing AI learning loops, ensuring AI escalations get resolved, and obsessing about how our customers are actually being served.
You'll do this while running a global support operation that has to be excellent today. Once we nail the model in CX, there will be momentum to help other operations teams adopt it.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Set the goals and measure what matters. Work with the Head of CX and senior CX managers to set org-wide goals, decide how we measure progress, and deliver the programs and projects that enable that strategy to flourish.
- Define how specialists and AI agents work together. Build the roles, workflows, and expectations that let specialists and AI agents serve customers as one team.
- Change what we reward. Rebuild goals, incentives, and performance management so specialists get credit for closing AI learning loops, getting AI escalations resolved, and improving how customers are actually served, alongside traditional frontline performance.
- Own global schedules, capacity, and quality. Plan coverage for 24/7/365, multi-tier, global support that holds a high bar for customers of all shapes and sizes.
- Build the training model for the new work. Both new and tenured specialists need to investigate hard issues, judge agent behavior, and contribute fixes, while still developing a deep understanding Ramp’s complex financial products. L&D should make them good at all of it.
- Turn AI progress into operating change. Know what our Investigative Copilot (specialist-facing) and AskRamp (fully agentic) can do and how well they do it. When that moves, change staffing, workflows, training, and expectations to match.
- Build and own the voice of the CX specialist to Product and Engineering. Use CX data to show technical teams where agents succeed and where they struggle, and work with them directly on tooling, prompts, and agent behavior. They own the roadmap; you make sure CX's evidence shapes it.
- Build a small, strong team. Develop and grow leaders across Business Operations, CX Analytics, Workforce Management, Learning & Development, and CX AI Operations, with clear ownership and shared goals.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We want an operator who has already changed how real work gets done with AI and can show the results.
- A record of strategic and operational execution inside an operating unit or fast growth business. That could be CX, Sales, supply chain, or another function where you owned the goals, the systems, and the outcomes.
- A genuine AI transformation you were on the front lines of in the last 18-24 months. You changed how a team’s work gets done and kept it running in production. You can explain what improved, what failed, and what you learned.
- Exceptional intellectual horsepower and natural curiosity, demonstrated through outstanding, standout performance across past roles in demanding environments.
- Experience leading teams and developing reports, with sound judgment about organizational design, incentives, and performance management.
- Analytical depth you use yourself: you can build or audit a capacity model, challenge a metric, diagnose an operating problem, or review an AI agent session to find the flaws.
- Credibility with Product, Engineering, and Data teams, and the ability to shape their priorities without a reporting line.
- High standards for customer quality and human accountability - you don’t compromise on the customer outcome.
HELPFUL EXPERIENCE
- Leadership spanning business operations, CX analytics, workforce management, learning and development, or AI operations or their equivalents in other operating teams.
- Experience with production AI agents, evaluations, escalation workflows, and continuous improvement.
- Taking an operating model that worked in one team and making it successful elsewhere.
HOW SUCCESS WILL BE MEASURED
- Specialists and AI agents work as one team, measured through both direct frontline performance as well as agentic velocity.
- Every specialist is trained, coached, scheduled, and rewarded for migrating successfully into an AI native version of the role.
- Learning loops close fast, AI escalations produce durable fixes, and new agent capabilities show up as operational gains.
- Customer quality goes up and 24/7/365 support stays excellent while the operating model changes.
- Other Ramp operations teams are adopting what worked in CX.

What The Role Is
We're hiring a Staff MLE for the Discovery team to own recommendations and personalization across Babylist's consumer experience — the homepage feed, product recs, search, and the ML-powered systems that make registry building feel effortless.
Babylist was built on editorial recommendations: products chosen by people with deep baby gear expertise. That editorial foundation is a big part of why millions of families trust us. We're now building ML-powered personalization on top of it, using one of the richest first-party datasets in parenting.
We're early in this work, and we have a real mandate. A small Discovery team has initial retrieval and reranking models live on parts of the site and a steady cadence of A/B tests. We are looking for a Staff MLE who has seen personalization done well at scale and can set the technical direction for where we go next.
Registry building is the heart of the Babylist product. Every parent builds a list of dozens of products, from swaddle to stroller, with real stakes (a friend or family member is going to buy these things, and a baby is going to use them). As a universal registry, this registry also typically spans many retailers. This makes registry building on Babylist one of the most interesting personalization problems in consumer e-commerce: latent intent, life-stage progression, multi-stakeholder gift dynamics, deep declarative signal in millions of completed registries, cross-retailer datapoints, and a user who genuinely wants help.
If you want to join a mature ML org and tune models at the margins, this isn't the right role. If you've worked inside a strong recommendations team, learned what good looks like, and want to build from zero-to-one at a company earlier in the journey, read on.
What You'll Own
You'll be the technical lead for personalization on the Discovery team, working alongside a PM, Engineering Manager, Senior MLE and fullstack software engineers. You set where our models go over the next year or two, sequence the bets that get there, and stay deep in building. A few examples of the problems you’ll get to shape:
Product recommendations across every surface.
Product detail pages, add-next recommendations after someone adds to their registry, vibes/aesthetic representations of products and the shared models underneath them.
Personalizing the Feed.
Deciding which products, editorial content and social content each family sees, and in what order.
Personalizing search.
Bringing what we know about a family into search results, and helping decide how much search should share retrieval and ranking with recommendations.
Making Addie (our AI registry assistant) better at recs.
Working with the team behind Addie so its product suggestions draw on the same models and signals as the rest of the site.
In practice, you will:
Take a fuzzy business problem from first sketch to production model, and own whether it moved the metric.
Make the modeling and architecture calls that span surfaces and are expensive to reverse.
Design the evaluation, offline and online, that tells us a model is good before and after it ships.
Know when a rule or a simple baseline is the right first step, and when it's time to pursue more advanced approaches.
Partner with product, design and data to help shape what's worth building.
Coach engineers on the team, and more broadly be an ML expert and resource to the wider engineering org.
Who You Are
You’ve shipped recommendation and/or personalization systems that reached real users at scale within a consumer product, and can point to the business impact of your work. You’ve done this within a team that did ML well — you know what good looks like, and are motivated to bring that to a company earlier in their ML journey.
You bring:
Expertise in recommender fundamentals: for example, candidate generation vs. ranking, offline vs. online evaluation, cold start solutions, and handling position and popularity bias.
Fluency in the Python ML stack and comfort owning models through deployment and monitoring, including contributions to our application backend.
An ability to take an ambiguous problem and start moving before anyone hands you the full picture.
A builder's instinct for early-stage ML. You understand effort vs. effectiveness tradeoffs and can advocate for when a rule beats a model, or a model is “good enough” for early learnings.
An outcome and user focused mindset. You measure yourself by business impact, and you can connect a model change to user experience & registry adds, conversion or revenue.
AI-native daily practice. You're already using AI to move faster and improve your output, and you stay curious about what's coming next.
Compensation
We post real numbers. For a Canada-based Staff Engineer, the starting base salary range is 299,300 to 372,600 CAD plus a target annual bonus of 20 percent of base. That's total target cash of roughly 359,160 to 447,120 CAD. On top of that you get meaningful equity and a 401(k) match. Where you start in that range depends on your experience, and your pay grows from there with performance and scope.
How We Build
AI is the default here. Engineers run agentic sessions for most of the work, and a lot of the interesting engineering now lives in the scaffolding that makes the agents good: the eval harnesses, the curated context, custom review skills and fast CI. Agents also triage incidents and handle a big share of support. A human always owns the outcome.
The architecture is intentionally simple: one Rails monolith, MySQL and few moving parts. That's deliberate. Simple infrastructure lets us move fast and lets AI reason about the whole system, so the hardest problems are the ones in front of customers.
The Stack
Core app:
Rails, Packwerk, React, TypeScript, Sidekiq
Mobile:
iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin)
Data, search & events:
MySQL, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Weaviate, WarpStream, Hex, Sigma
Machine learning:
deep learning, matrix factorization, retrieval & ranking, AWS SageMaker, MLflow
AI & dev tooling:
Claude Code, Devin, Linear, CodeRabbit, Warden, LangChain, Bedrock AgentCore, Maxim
Infra & ops:
AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Datadog, incident.io, LaunchDarkly
Key integrations:
Shopify (payments), Iterable (CRM)
Why Babylist
An engineer, expecting her first baby, couldn't find the registry she wanted. So she built it. That's how Babylist started, and it's still how we work: engineers solving problems for families. Becoming a parent is one of the biggest moments in a person's life. Millions reach it for the first time every year, making thousands of decisions and figuring it out as they go. That's who we build for, and we're a long way from done.
Ten million people give gifts through Babylist every year. We did more than $750M in revenue in 2025, up 45 percent over the year before, and we've been profitable for eight years while staying independent. So you can take on a hard, multi-year problem without watching over your shoulder for the next round or the next correction. And the team is small, around 65 engineers, so what you ship stays visible and your scope stays wide.
How We Work
Remote-first across the US and Canada, and we have been for years. That's not changing. We trust you to own your time and your outcomes, and we get everyone in a room together twice a year. Teams are small, pods of three to five engineers, so nothing you ship disappears into a committee. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with product, design and data, and with the partners across the business who rely on what you ship. You'll also stay close to customers yourself: sitting in on user interviews, watching session recordings, riding along with support. Here that's part of the engineering job, on a regular basis.
How We Hire
Three rounds, usually two to three weeks start to finish.
Recruiter conversation (30 minutes).
Trade context: what you want next, what we're building and straight answers on comp, team and remote.
Technical screen (1 hour).
One round, no AI, language-agnostic. Reach for Google when you normally would. We just want to see how you reason from first principles.
Final round (4 hours).
Four one-hour interviews: system design, AI-assisted coding with the tools you'd actually use here, product sense and culture and values. You'll hear back either way within 24 to 48 hours.
If your timeline is tight, tell us and we'll move faster.
Benefits
Company-paid medical and fully covered dental and vision
A 401(k) match
Generous paid parental leave for birthing and non-birthing parents, plus a gradual return-to-work program
Winter Wonder Week, a paid company-wide week off at the end of the year
A remote-work stipend
Mental-health and wellness support
A Few Things To Know
We record and transcribe interviews to evaluate candidates, in line with applicable privacy laws.
We expect you to use AI in your work and we welcome it in the process, but what you submit and say should reflect your own thinking.
If you have a family member or close relationship with a Babylist employee, let your recruiter know.
Official outreach only ever comes from an @babylist.com address

Who You Are
You’ve shipped recommendation and/or personalization systems that reached real users at scale within a consumer product, and can point to the business impact of your work.
For a US-based Staff Engineer, the starting base salary range is $233,500 to $290,700, plus a target annual bonus of 20 percent of base. That's total target cash of roughly $280,200 to $348,840.

- Ability to find vulnerabilities, prove them, and drive the fix with the team that owns the code
- Experience at a fintech, payments or crypto company
Nice to have
- Blockchain security: smart contract review, onchain monitoring, custody and multisig controls
- AI security: securing LLM applications and agents, or building AI into security workflows
- Experience running external audits or a bug bounty program

We're united by Buffer's values https://buffer.com/about#values, and we hire and work from all over the world. We strive to create a diverse and inclusive work environment, and we are building a culture where underrepresented groups are welcome and can flourish. Please note that we do travel to work together in person once or twice per year, and those events are highly encouraged to build deeper connections among our small team.
As you get to know Buffer and consider joining the journey, you can learn more about Buffer on our Journey https://buffer.com/journey page. Still curious to learn more about the experience on the Buffer team? Feel free to read more from Kirsti https://buffer.com/resources/first-30-days-buffer/ and Sabreen https://buffer.com/resources/joined-3-days-before-the-retreat/ as they share their first experiences with Buffer, as well as from Hailley https://buffer.com/resources/8-years-at-buffer/, who captured why she still calls Buffer home after 8+ years.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll lead engineering for Growth at Buffer across both product and marketing surfaces. The work spans acquisition, activation, and retention. You’ll connect how people discover Buffer and decide to sign up and whether they stay.
We’re looking for someone who wants to stay close to the details, from where a customer gets stuck in a flow to the technical decisions that shape how it works. You’ll help the team decide which problems to solve, what to try first, and how to tell if we made things better for customers.
You'll partner closely with Product, Design, Marketing and Data to shape technical direction, create space for engineers to do their best work, and build a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support engineers through regular coaching, clear feedback, and meaningful career conversations.
- Shape priorities with Product, Design, and Marketing, bringing your own point of view and grounding decisions in customer needs & data.
- Stay close to technical decisions and product details. Help the team build clear, accessible, responsive experiences, and help judge when to keep refining and when to ship and learn.
- Help connect customer insights, product changes, and measurement so we understand whether our work is helping.
- We're also changing how we build with AI. You'll have room to help shape that, through your own experiments and by helping the team develop good judgment and systems to work with AI effectively.
- Contribute to the wider Engineering team through hiring, shared practices, and improvements to how we work.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- You've managed engineers and can talk concretely about helping people grow, giving feedback, and addressing performance concerns.
- You care about how software feels to use. You notice unnecessary steps, unclear interactions, and details that get in someone's way. You could walk through something you helped build and explain the choices, compromises, and things you left out.
- You have a strong engineering background and remain comfortable getting into technical details. That might mean reviewing code, exploring an architecture, building a prototype, or helping someone work through a difficult trade-off.
- You’re ambitious about what you can build with AI. You use it in your own engineering work to take on bigger problems, and you know how to steer it, check its work, and make the calls that need your judgment. You help the engineers you lead do the same.
- You communicate clearly in writing, take ownership, and work well with people across different disciplines and time zones.
- You understand how a product helps a business grow, from how customers find it to why they pay for it and keep using it. You might have learned that through growth work and experimentation, or by growing a product as a founder or on an early-stage team. You use that understanding to decide what’s worth building and help engineers build it well.
- You have a personal connection to making and sharing things. Maybe you've written a newsletter, shared your work online, built a side project, or run a small business. You understand something of the effort it takes to put your work out there and find an audience. You don't need a big following; we're interested in that connection and what it's taught you.
OUR HIRING PROCESS
- Please express your interest below by sharing your LinkedIn profile and resume, and a short note about what interests you in the role and why you think it could be a good match. (If you choose to use AI while writing your message, please limit usage to light edits or research. We'd love to hear your own voice come through.)
- If we'd like to explore the fit further, we'll reach out to learn more about you.
- Our interview process includes a conversation with a member of our hiring team (Sara https://www.linkedin.com/in/sara-almeida-b1a78012b/ or Caro https://www.linkedin.com/in/carolynkopprasch/), meeting the hiring manager for this role (Kateryna https://www.linkedin.com/in/kporshnieva/), getting to know some teammates and peers (varies based on schedules), and meeting our CEO, Joel https://www.linkedin.com/in/joelgascoigne/.
- Our final stage is a two-day-long paid collaboration period. This is designed to mimic a real work project, so that we can each see what it's like to work together.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic is building the team to help the world's most ambitious organizations adopt Claude in ways that are transformative, safe, and lasting. Our Forward Deployed Engineers embed directly with strategic customers to ship production AI applications that solve real business problems. As this practice grows, we need a founding leader to build and scale it.
As the first FDE Manager in DACH, you'll own the team that sits at the frontier of enterprise AI deployment. You'll hire and develop a high-performing team of FDEs, set the technical and operational bar for customer engagements, and build the playbooks that turn one-off successes into repeatable patterns. You'll work hand-in-hand with Engagement Managers who own delivery logistics and stakeholder management, while you ensure your team is shipping quality code, growing technically, and representing Anthropic at the highest level in customer environments.
This is a player-coach role with a strong bias toward leadership. You'll stay close enough to the technical work to review architectures, debug production issues, and pair with your team when it matters — but your primary impact will come from the people you hire, the standards you set, and the culture you create. You'll partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering to shape how Anthropic serves its most strategic customers, and your team's field insights will directly influence product direction.
This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity and is energized by building from zero to one. You'll be defining what good looks like for FDE management at Anthropic — there is no existing playbook to follow.
Responsibilities
Hire, develop, and retain a world-class team of Forward Deployed Engineers. Set a high bar for technical talent and customer instincts.
Conduct regular 1:1s, provide technical mentorship, and invest in the career growth of each team member. Create an environment where FDEs do the best work of their careers.
Staff and oversee customer engagements across your team's portfolio, making resource allocation decisions that balance customer needs, team development, and business priorities.
Collaborate with account teams and Engagement Managers during the pre-sales process to qualify engagements, scope work, and inform statements of work.
Review technical architectures and code produced by your FDEs, ensuring the team ships high-quality, production-ready solutions that solve real customer problems.
Stay hands-on enough to lead technical discovery sessions, prototype solutions, and debug complex issues alongside your team when needed.
Build repeatable playbooks, starter repositories, integration templates, and an internal knowledge base that captures what your team learns in the field.
Define team OKRs that tie to customer success outcomes and product adoption goals. Create operational cadences — standups, retros, engagement reviews — that keep the team aligned.
Partner with Product and Engineering to translate field insights into product improvements. Serve as the voice of the customer in internal planning.
Travel to customer sites as needed (25-50%), particularly during engagement kickoffs and for your team's highest-priority accounts.
You may be a good fit if you have
10+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or a technical customer-facing role such as forward deployed engineering or consulting.
2+ years of people management experience within a services/post-sales/FDE organization with a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineers.
Experience building organizations from 0->1, not just inheriting an existing one.
Experience working directly with enterprise customers on technical implementations, including comfort navigating complex organizational dynamics.
Executive presence with the ability to move fluidly between strategic conversations with senior stakeholders and hands-on debugging sessions with engineers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. You can translate technical complexity into clear narratives for diverse audiences.
Genuine excitement about building something new and defining what great looks like for a team that doesn't yet exist.
Why this role matters
You'll be a founding leader of a team that defines how enterprises adopt and scale AI. Your work will directly influence Anthropic's product direction, create reusable patterns for the broader customer base, and establish Anthropic as the trusted partner for AI transformation — all while advancing the responsible development of frontier AI systems.
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
For roles performing work in California:
We will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records or criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws, including the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, the City of Los Angeles’ Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, and the California Fair Chance Act.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit
anthropic.com/careers
directly for confirmed position openings.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms—so teams can ship fast, scale reliably, and focus on their product, not infrastructure.
Unlike complex hyperscalers or ephemeral edge/serverless solutions, Render offers a developer-first experience with persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, allowing teams to launch, scale, and manage real-world applications without writing infrastructure code or managing servers. Whether you're building LLM-powered applications, scalable SaaS products, or async processing pipelines, Render empowers teams to move fast and scale confidently from MVP to millions of users.
Our platform is trusted by over 7 million developers worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In February 2026, we raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $260M, to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive—designed for the speed of modern AI development.
We’re a diverse and talented team that values craft, velocity, and user experience. If you’re excited to help shape the future of the intelligent cloud and empower developers everywhere, we’d love to hear from you.
APPLYING TO RENDER
We're seeking candidates who possess high integrity, humility, and an insatiable drive to learn. Through reasoned discussions and continuous feedback, we strive to improve both individually and collectively. We foster an environment of mutual trust and respect, empowering effective debate to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and team.
We especially encourage members of underrepresented groups in the tech community to apply and understand that not all successful candidates will meet each requirement listed.
Our interview process is unique to each role, and we value the candidate experience just as much as our customer experience. We hope your conversations with us reflect a thoughtful process that is illuminative, enjoyable, and respectful of your time.
ABOUT THE ROLE
DX Engineering shows developers what building on Render is actually like. We make the tutorials, demo apps, templates, and videos that get developers to try Render, and we build the agent skills and internal tooling that keep that work running at scale. We're also often the first real users of what Render ships. We test major releases end to end, the way a customer would, and tell Product and Engineering where they fall down before customers hit it.
As a DX Engineer, you'll own technical content and code from the first idea to a working sample app, docs, and video. You'll work with DevRel, Product Marketing, Product, and Engineering, and you'll have real influence over how developers and coding agents discover and adopt Render.
This is a remote role within the US, with the option to work out of our headquarters in San Francisco.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build tutorials, demo apps, and videos that show developers how to build real things on Render, with a focus on AI applications, agents, and Render's AI runtime products like Render Workflows.
- Own Render templates and the render-examples GitHub org for the frameworks developers ask about most. Everything you ship has to deploy and run.
- Build agent skills, automation, and internal tools so the team stops doing repetitive content and ops work by hand.
- Improve how Render shows up in LLM and answer-engine results. Dig into why Render is missing from an answer it should be in, then ship the content or fix that changes it.
- Alpha test new releases end to end and write up what breaks, with enough detail for Product and Engineering to act on.
- Contribute code to developer-facing surfaces like the Render CLI, MCP server, SDKs, and docs.
- Shape the content roadmap and quality bar with Product, Engineering, and Marketing, and iterate on feedback and metrics.
- Set technical direction for DX Engineering's content and tooling, and raise the bar for the rest of the team through reviews, standards, and your own work.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 8+ years building developer content, or working as an engineer who teaches, at a developer tools or infrastructure company.
- Experience setting technical direction and raising the bar for a team.
- Full-stack engineering experience. Strong backend skills (Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Postgres), comfort with Docker and containers, and enough frontend skill to ship sample apps end to end.
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of AI agents and the workloads they run. You've built and deployed agents that call tools, run code in sandboxes, and handle long-running tasks with retries and state, and you know what infrastructure each of those needs.
- Experience with the agent stack: MCP servers, agent frameworks, LLM APIs, evals, and durable workflow or background job systems.
- Daily fluency with coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor, and the taste to ship quality work at a steady cadence with them.
- Excellent technical writing. You know what world-class developer content looks like.
- A track record of owning projects end to end with little direction.
- Strong intuition for developer tools and a love of well-crafted user experiences.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- You've used Render before, professionally or on side projects.
- Experience with AEO or SEO, or with measuring how content performs in LLM answers.
- A public body of work: talks, a YouTube channel, popular open source repos, or a well-read blog.
- Experience presenting workshops and technical talks.
SOME PROJECTS YOU MIGHT WORK ON
- A video series on building and deploying an MCP server on Render.
- A sample app for an upcoming launch, built with Product and Engineering ahead of release.
- An agent skill that turns a tutorial into a tested, deployable template.
- Tracing why coding agents fail on a specific docs page, then shipping the fix.
If this role excites you but you don’t meet every single requirement, we’d still love to hear from you—your unique experience might be just what we need.
BENEFITS
- 4 weeks of paid vacation.
- 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all parents to bond with a newly born, adopted, or fostered child. We will also work with you to create a supportive plan of return.
- Long-term disability, life insurance, and 401K plans.
- 100% employer-paid medical coverage and 99% employer-paid dental and vision coverage for you and a dependent. FSAs and HSAs are available as well.

We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring a Vice President to own and lead our EMEA business. You'll inherit a team of 20+ quota-carrying Commercial and Enterprise AE's across four hubs: London, Amsterdam, Munich, Stockholm and be responsible for building the management layer, operating model and partner ecosystem that takes the EMEA region from early traction to consistent, scaled revenue.
This is a second-line leader role that will see you report directly to the Global Vice President of Sales and operate with meaningful autonomy across pipeline, hiring, partner relationships and executive engagement.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Team leadership and performance
- Lead, develop and expand the Sales teams across EMEA from day one
- Run weekly pipeline reviews, deal coaching sessions, and forecast calls with precision and consistency
- Identify and close performance gaps early: coach the team to close larger deals faster and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder cycles
- Build a culture of accountability and development; create clear career paths for senior individual contributors, including first-line management opportunities as the team scales
Revenue
- Own the EMEA number: quarterly and annual quota attainment across all sub-regions
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline that supports consistent delivery and predictable forecasting to leadership
- Engage directly in strategic deals as executive sponsor, bringing credibility and commercial weight to enterprise negotiations
- Establish the region's strongest lighthouse accounts across key industry verticals, building referenceable wins that anchor LangChain's market position in EMEA
Hiring
- Manage multiple open roles across EMEA simultaneously: owning the full hiring lifecycle across pipeline, assessment and closing
- Partner with the internal talent team to move at pace without compromising on quality
- Define the headcount profile for EMEA beyond Q4 and feed into H1 planning, ensuring the team is built ahead of the revenue curve
Partner ecosystem
- Owns hyperscaler and GSI/RSI relationships (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and key SIs) across EMEA
- Develop a structured partner motion that generates qualified pipeline and supports deal acceleration, reduces risk and drives expansion
- Represent LangChain at partner QBRs and executive engagements in region
Market presence
- Represent LangChain as a keynote-ready leader at partner events, customer engagements, and industry conferences across the region: including KubeCon, Money20/20, Nordic AI summits, and customer EBCs
- Build LangChain's brand with technical buyers, CIOs, and innovation leaders across Northern Europe's most important enterprise accounts
- Bring intelligence on the EMEA markets back to the Global VP of Sales and product teams to inform roadmap and go-to-market positioning
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience
- 10+ years in enterprise SaaS sales, with at least 5+ years in a regional or sub-regional leadership role managing quota-carrying AE's
- Demonstrable track record of hitting and exceeding regional revenue targets across multiple quarters
- Experience managing teams across multiple countries and time zones, with the cultural intelligence to operate across EMEA
- Background selling to technical buyers (engineering leaders, CTOs, platform teams): you understand how developer tools get evaluated and adopted
- Experience in the AI, data, or developer tooling space strongly preferred; familiarity with the LangChain ecosystem is a meaningful plus
Leadership
- You've run teams of 20+ AEs before and know the difference between managing and coaching
- You can hold a forecast conversation with a VP and a deal coaching session with an AE in the same afternoon and add value in both
- You hire well and fast. You know what good looks like for enterprise AE profiles and you can run structured hiring processes across four open roles simultaneously
- You've built or contributed to a partner motion before: you understand what "partner pipeline" means in practice, not just in theory
Operating style
- You bias toward action. You don't wait for a playbook to be handed to you: you build it
- You're comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage scale. This is not a role with a fully defined motion; you'll shape a significant part of it
- You communicate clearly and directly, to your team and to leadership
- You're present in the market. You attend the right events, know the right people and build relationships that translate into pipeline and retention
Compensation Philosophy:
We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks.
We are hiring for this role across a range of scope, and the compensation band reflects that. Your offer depends on what we learn about your impact, craft, leadership, and communication during the interview process. We will tell you early where you’re tracking and talk comp with you before offer stage. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.
BENEFITS
Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, meals on in-office days in the US and more.

Who are we?
Our mission is to scale intelligence to serve humanity. We’re training and deploying frontier models for developers and enterprises who are building AI systems to power magical experiences like content generation, semantic search, RAG, and agents. We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI.
We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. We like to work hard and move fast to do what’s best for our customers.
Cohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are passionate about their craft. Each person is one of the best in the world at what they do. We believe that a diverse range of perspectives is a requirement for building great products.
Join us on our mission and shape the future!
Why this role?
We are on a mission to build machines that understand the world and make them safely accessible to all. Data quality is foundational to this process. Machines (or Large Language Models to be exact) learn in similar ways to humans: by way of feedback. By labeling, ranking, auditing, prompting, red teaming, and correcting output, you will improve Large Language Model’s performance for iterations to come, thus having a lasting impact on Cohere’s tech.
Cohere is looking for Data Annotation Specialists with backgrounds and skills in Trust & Safety, Content Moderation, AI model evaluation, or related fields. This role is best suited for candidates who bring strong contextual judgment, cultural and bias sensitivity, and experience applying nuanced guidelines to complex or ambiguous content. Successful candidates will be highly detail-oriented, comfortable evaluating safety risks across different user intents and scenarios, and able to make consistent, well-reasoned decisions with a high degree of independence after onboarding.
IMPORTANT CONTEXT ON THIS ROLE: In this position, you will be asked to engage with human-generated and model-generated tasks which will sometimes mean intentional exposure to explicit content. Your annotations on these explicit tasks will be used to prevent the Large Language Model from generating unintentional, adversarial, toxic, or unsafe outputs. The types of explicit content you may be exposed to may include but are not limited to those of a sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing nature.
Please Note: This is a part-time, remote, independent contractor position available within Canada or the United States. We seek candidates who are able to commit to 16 hours per week minimum at a 45 CAD/hour or 40 USD/hour contract rate, depending on your location, consisting of 30/hour base pay plus 15 CAD or 10 USD/hour hazard pay. This role is BYOD 💻 - Bring Your Own Device (laptop). 12 months contract with potential for extension.
As a Data Annotation Specialist on safety task, you will:
- Evaluate and improve model safety: Label, rank, audit, and refine human- and model-generated text to improve safety, quality, and policy alignment, including content that may be sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing.
- Apply nuanced safety judgment: Assess model outputs against detailed safety guidelines, rubrics, and style standards, making consistent decisions across ambiguous, sensitive, and context-dependent cases.
- Create prompts and safety test cases: Write realistic prompts, user scenarios, and adversarial examples that help evaluate model behavior across safety categories and uncover unsafe, evasive, over-refusing, or policy-inconsistent responses.
- Support quality and calibration: Identify annotation inconsistencies or unclear guidelines, and provide actionable feedback on recurring edge cases, model failures, and opportunities to improve data quality.
- Work with precision and independence: Complete annotation tasks with strong attention to detail, while being comfortable working independently in a globally distributed, asynchronous team environment.
You may be a good fit if you have:
- 1+ years of experience in Content Moderation,Trust and Safety, AI data annotation, LLM evaluation, or a related analytical role, with exposure to quality assurance, red teaming, and/or prompt engineering preferred.
- Experience applying detailed guidelines to complex and sensitive content, with strong contextual and sociocultural judgment and the ability to recognize and manage personal bias.
- Emotional resilience: Comfort working with content that contains unsafe, explicit, and/or toxic content, including content of a sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing nature.
- Excellent command of written English and the ability to clearly justify content evaluations, including why an output is safe, unsafe, high-quality or low-quality. Bonus points if you are fluent in another language!
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, with the ability to maintain consistency across high-volume and monotonous tasks.
- Strong execution in a remote environment, including good time management, comfort using new tools, and the ability to work independently in a global, asynchronous team.
The Candidate Journey:
Initial Screening - Once you have submitted your application our Talent Team will review your resume and writing samples.
Virtual Annotation Test - This assignment will test your written skill through various language-based tasks, such as a a writing sample, interacting with a chat bot, and more.
Video Screen - If selected to move forward, you will have a short video call with a member of our Operations Team!
Offer - Independent Contractor Agreement
As an independent contractor, you maintain control over how you complete your work and may work with multiple clients simultaneously, although we ask you to declare if any of these are with a direct competitor of Cohere and maintain IP confidentiality of the Cohere project. Independent contractors are not eligible for health benefits or other benefits provided to employees. Compensation for services is provided to contractors by contractors invoicing for services provided pursuant to the terms of our agreement with the contractor.
It is important to understand that as an independent contractor, continuous work is not guaranteed. The client-contractor relationship is fundamentally project-based, meaning engagements may be temporary, periodic, or intermittent based on our organizational needs and project availability. As an independent contractor, you should anticipate fluctuations in workflow and therefore compensation for services when Cohere does not require as many hours of services in a week.
Prospective candidates, please be advised: this role involves working with human generated and model generated tasks that may involve exposure to not safe for work (NSFW) text content as part of data annotation tasks, including explicit, offensive, or other inappropriate material.
If some of the above doesn’t line up perfectly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply!
We value and celebrate diversity and strive to create an inclusive work environment for all. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to providing equal opportunities. Should you require any accommodations during the recruitment process, please submit an Accommodations Request Form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/12a6IrLdF3kI2nonKSr4tiFuz18rLQbaeYV-JM9L4o9Q/edit, and we will work together to meet your needs.

About Beneficial Deployments
Beneficial Deployments ensures AI reaches and benefits the communities that need it most. We partner with nonprofits, foundations, and mission-driven organizations to deploy Claude in education, global health, economic mobility, and life sciences — focusing on raising the floor for those who need it most.
About the Role
We're looking for an Applied AI Architect to join Beneficial Deployments, focused on helping public health, global health and humanitarian organizations get real value from Claude. You'll be the technical lead for partners such as public health agencies and ministries of health, the institutes and NGOs that support them, and humanitarian organizations working in crisis settings. You'll help them find where Claude makes a real difference, from disease surveillance and outbreak response to health data, communications and program delivery, design solutions that fit their data, privacy and procurement rules, and turn early pilots into lasting deployments. What works for one partner becomes something the whole field can use.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical advisor to a portfolio of health partners from discovery through deployment, turning their priorities into scoped use cases with clear measures of success.
Design and demo solutions with Claude, the API, Claude Science and Claude Code across surveillance, outbreak response, data analysis and public communications.
Guide partners through security review, data governance and procurement, from national agencies to field operations.
Run workshops, trainings and tabletop exercises that build AI fluency across partner teams.
Build reusable assets (reference designs, connectors, prompt and eval templates) so one partner's work helps the next.
Spot patterns across partners, bring field insight back to Product and Research, and help partners measure what changed.
Travel to partner sites for workshops, technical deep dives and relationship building.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You Have
3+ years in customer-facing technical roles such as solutions architecture, sales engineering, forward-deployed engineering or technical consulting.
Experience working with public health agencies, ministries of health, global health or humanitarian organizations, or similarly complex public institutions, including how they buy, adopt, and govern technology.
A track record of making technology stick inside slow-moving organizations with many stakeholders.
Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs: you can prototype a working demo. You don't need to write production code.
Clear written and spoken communication across a broad audience. The ability to explain technical tradeoffs to epidemiologists, program leads, field teams and executives.
Patience with long buying cycles, a knack for knowing how to make them go smoothly, and real care for public benefit.
Comfort operating in ambiguity: you bring clarity to fuzzy problems, wear multiple hats and do whatever it takes to further the mission.
Bonus if you've worked on disease surveillance, outbreak response, health information systems or emergency operations.
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$240,000
—
$315,000 USD
