Join us in revolutionizing Observability for Developers! We’re on a mission to redefine how engineers monitor, debug, and scale their production applications using ClickStack. An open-source platform that transforms telemetry data into actionable insights. Imagine a world where logs, metrics, traces, and session replays come together seamlessly to pinpoint root causes faster than ever before. If you've ever been jolted awake at 2 AM, frustrated with Grafana, Datadog, or Elastic for not delivering the answers you need, you’ll resonate with the problem we’re solving. And now, you can help us solve it.
We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to help us build a petabyte-scale, high-performance observability platform with a laser focus on crafting an amazing developer experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Shape the product: Own and build key backend services and infrastructure that power our observability platform, ensuring reliable, high-throughput data pipelines and APIs that developers depend on every day.
- Engage with the community: Collaborate with open-source contributors and customers, solve their challenges, and incorporate their feedback into our backend architecture and API design.
- Tackle technical challenges: Design and implement scalable backend systems capable of ingesting, processing, and querying petabytes of observability data. You'll build the foundational services that empower engineers to crack production issues like never before.
WHO YOU ARE:
- A backend engineer who excels at building reliable, performant services in TypeScript and Node.js.
- A creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Driven to ship features that make a tangible impact for customers.
- Eager to learn and push boundaries, embracing new technologies and approaches.
- Love what you do and are passionate about software.
- Move fast and learn from mistakes.
- Love the freedom to create with minimal interruptions.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend development, with a preference for building developer tools or infrastructure.
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills (experience with Express, Fastify, or similar frameworks).
- Solid understanding of API design, distributed systems, and data modeling.
- Experience with Go is a plus — you'll occasionally contribute to Go-based services.
- Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- A passion for open source and the developer community.
- Experience creating developer tooling and an eye for how to design for developers.
BONUS POINTS:
- Experience with ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, or other analytical/OLTP databases.
- Strong opinions on observability tools and a vision for making them 10x better.
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, logging pipelines, or metrics infrastructure.
- Experience with SDKs or client library design.
- Exposure to message queues, streaming systems (Kafka, NATS), or event-driven architectures.

At JetBrains, we are passionate about boosting developer productivity. Since our inception, we've been creating tools that eliminate repetitive tasks, simplify workflows, and empower developers to focus on what they do best: creating amazing things with code. JetBrains IDEs enable millions of developers worldwide to achieve their full potential.
As JetBrains continues to grow, so does the amount and complexity of cross-team work. At the same time, AI is increasing both the pace of change and the coordination load across the company. To keep growing while continuing to build great products, we want to strengthen our execution.
We’re now looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to help us run complex cross-team technical programs, raise execution quality and improve planning, delivery predictability, and escalation discipline for complex work.
In this role, you will:
Lead the most complex cross-team technical programs in your primary domain.
Make sure complex work across the domain is planned, coordinated, and executed to a consistently high standard.
Surface risks, blockers, and capacity issues early, and drive mitigation or escalation when local coordination is not enough.
Serve as the senior PMO-side escalation point when complex delivery work in the domain gets stuck.
Keep program status accurate by verifying execution rather than only collecting updates.
Work with product, engineering, quality, and service teams to define goals, scope, milestones, dependencies, and key decisions.
Build workable program plans and coordination cadences, and clarify resourcing needs with the teams involved.
Coach TPMs and other part-time program leads across the domain and, where the setup includes full-time TPMs, manage them directly.
Partner closely with product, engineering, quality, and service teams without taking over their decision-making authority.
Typical programs may include sunsetting a feature or product, rolling out a major feature, driving a large technical refactoring effort, or coordinating the response to a major customer or partner escalation that becomes complex cross-team work.
You’ll work primarily within one domain, such as one of our IDEs, a major functional area in an IntelliJ-based product, or another area with heavy cross-department dependencies, while also contributing to cross-domain priorities as part of the PMO team when needed.
We will be happy to have you on our team if you have:
A proven track record of leading complex software programs or other cross-team initiatives from start to finish.
The ability to influence without direct authority, challenge assumptions constructively, and work effectively across product, engineering, quality, and other functions.
Strong negotiation, facilitation, and escalation judgment.
The ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives effectively, prioritize well, and keep execution plans tied to reality.
Experience coaching other program or project managers and improving execution quality beyond your own work.
Enough technical depth to sanity-check feasibility claims, dependency chains, and delivery risk in a technical environment.
A technical background or experience working closely with software development teams.
At least 5 years of program or project management experience in the tech industry.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
A strong understanding of how complex software programs are structured, planned, and driven through delivery; formal PM training or certification is a plus.
Experience with IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, JetBrains tools, or other developer-focused products would be a plus.
If selected, we’ll give you the opportunity to:
Work on tools that help developers become better versions of themselves.
Be part of a team that values collaboration, creativity, and impact.
Enjoy a flexible, supportive work environment designed to help you succeed.
Embrace the opportunity to shape the future of developer productivity.
Why join JetBrains?
Strong base salary. We offer competitive pay that reflects your skills and experience.
Flexible work location. Enjoy the freedom to work from home or from the office.
Remote work. Spend up to 30 days per year working remotely from abroad.
Extra time off. More days to relax, recharge, and do the things you love.
Medical insurance allowance. Enjoy peace of mind for you and your family.
Learning and development opportunities. Access to conferences, courses, and language classes.
Language classes. Pick up the local language or sharpen your English skills.
Fuel your day. Enjoy a hot meal or receive a lunch allowance on workdays.
Mental health support. To help you feel your best, we provide easy access to professional mental health services.
Sports benefit. Enjoy an on-site gym or sports club stipend.
Internal events. Join company-wide celebrations and team gatherings.

We are seeking a back-end leaning Senior Developer to join our Growth Team, focused on building net-new self-serve experiences, evolving the underlying systems and integrations that power Product Growth, and driving rapid experimentation and feedback loops across our expanding B2B product suites.
How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in a production SaaS environment.
- Strong experience building backend services in a modern language (e.g. Go, Node.js, Ruby, or Python).
- Deep experience with React and/or TypeScript in customer-facing web applications.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation, analytics, and defining meaningful success metrics.
- Ability to operate autonomously, drive initiatives forward, and influence technical direction.
- Strong collaboration skills and a growth mindset.
Bonus points for:
- Demonstrated experience leading or significantly contributing to experimentation-driven product development.
- Familiarity with analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Looker, Qualtrics).
- Experience working in security- or compliance-sensitive domains.
What you can expect:
- Shape and evolve our experimentation platform (feature flags, instrumentation, data quality, reporting loops).
- Lead the design and implementation of experiments that drive activation, engagement, and expansion.
- Partner closely with product, design, and data to refine hypotheses, define measurable outcomes, and interpret results.
- Balance rapid iteration with long-term architectural health and security.
- Raise the bar for code quality, observability, and performance across the team.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical design discussions, and pairing.
- Identify technical opportunities to unlock new growth mechanisms.
- See your work directly influence measurable customer and business outcomes.

This posting is for an existing vacancy.
Our culture
At 1Password, we prioritize collaboration, clear and transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and alignment with our core values: keep it simple, lead with honesty, and put people first.
You’ll be part of a team that challenges the status quo, and is excited to experiment and iterate in search of the best solution. That said, 1Password is not for everyone https://blog.1password.com/inside-the-culture-powering-1passwords-next-chapter/. Our work is demanding, we strive for excellence, and the pace is fast. We need people who are keen to take on challenging problems, who seek feedback to grow, and who are driven to make an impact. If you're looking for a place where you can settle into a comfortable routine, this might not be the right fit for you. We’re looking for individuals who are proven experts in their fields, as well as those who are highly adaptable, can thrive in ambiguity and through change, are curious, and above all deliver results.
How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password.
This approach extends to our hiring process—candidates are welcome to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully during the application process. To us, this means we do ask that you join live interviews without using AI tools so we can get to know how you communicate, solve problems, and collaborate with others.
Our approach to remote work
We believe in the power of remote work, but recognize that in-person connection is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, travel for in-person engagement is a part of almost all roles, and we require our employees to be ready and willing to take part. Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to: annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events.

Salesforce is an equal opportunity employer and maintains a policy of non-discrimination with all employees and applicants for employment. What does that mean exactly? It means that at Salesforce, we believe in equality for all. And we believe we can lead the path to equality in part by creating a workplace that’s inclusive, and free from discrimination.
Know your rights: workplace discrimination is illegal.
Any employee or potential employee will be assessed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications – without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, transgender status, age, disability, veteran or marital status, political viewpoint, or other classifications protected by law. This policy applies to current and prospective employees, no matter where they are in their Salesforce employment journey. It also applies to recruiting, hiring, job assignment, compensation, promotion, benefits, training, assessment of job performance, discipline, termination, and everything in between. Recruiting, hiring, and promotion decisions at Salesforce are fair and based on merit. The same goes for compensation, benefits, promotions, transfers, reduction in workforce, recall, training, and education.
