Location: Cyprus; Georgia; Poland; Spain; Serbia; Latvia We are looking for an Engineering Director to own the technology platform behind the GoMining ecosystem. This is a senior leadership role for someone who combines deep engineering expertise with strong product and business thinking. You will own the Platform end-to-end — technology strategy, architecture, engineering organization, roadmap, reliability, delivery, and its impact on the wider business. The Platform powers multiple GoMining products and includes core application infrastructure, authentication and authorization, integrations, shared services, analytics infrastructure, user restrictions, native applications, reliability, and other foundational capabilities. This is not a role where success is measured simply by uptime, delivery, or engineering output. We expect the Engineering Director to understand where technology creates or limits business value, make trade-offs between long-term architecture and immediate commercial priorities, and build a platform that allows the entire company to move faster. Responsibilities Platform Strategy & Architecture Own the technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the GoMining Platform. Build scalable shared infrastructure used across multiple products and engineering teams. Define which capabilities should be centralized at Platform level and which should remain within individual product teams. Drive major architectural and technical decisions. Identify scalability and architectural bottlenecks before they become business-critical. Balance long-term platform investments with immediate product and commercial priorities. Reliability & Engineering Excellence Own platform reliability, availability, latency, scalability, and operational performance. Requirements Experience as an Engineering Director, Head of Engineering, Head of Platform, VP Engineering, CTO, or in a comparable senior engineering leadership role. Strong technical background and the ability to engage deeply in architecture and engineering decisions. Experience building or operating complex platforms, shared services, or infrastructure used by multiple products or engineering teams. Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex cross-functional initiatives. Strong understanding of distributed systems, high-load environments, reliability, scalability, incidents, and security. Experience with authentication, authorization, integrations, identity, payments infrastructure, or other shared platform capabilities.
