About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
As an Enforcement Analyst focused on Bio Harms, you will play a critical role in protecting against the misuse of AI systems for biological and related CBRNE harms. You will enforce our Usage Policy with a specific focus on detecting and mitigating bio risks, investigating potential violations, and help continuously strengthen our safeguards. The work sits at the intersection of biosecurity threat analysis and platform enforcement: you will read real model interactions and make fast, well-reasoned calls about whether activity is benign research or a credible attempt at harm.
This role is a fit for someone who understands the dual-use nature of biology and enabling technologies well enough to separate the benign from the malicious. You will own and continuously improve the enforcement monitoring workflows for the bio-harms area, and you will work closely with Policy, Threat Intelligence, Data Science, and Engineering cross-functional partners to accomplish tasks at scale. Safety is core to our mission, and your work will directly protect individuals, communities, and critical systems.
Important context for the role: In this position you may be exposed to and engage with explicit content spanning a range of topics, including material of a sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing nature. The role also carries a shared on-call responsibility across the Policy and Enforcement teams.
Key responsibilities

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
The Claude Platform ships fast, and every launch lands better when the field can understand it, demo it, and teach it.
You'll own platform enablement end to end: the demos, hands-on labs, and technical curriculum that let Anthropic's go-to-market teams showcase the Claude Developer Platform with confidence, whether they're building on Anthropic's first-party API or through Bedrock, Vertex, and Foundry. You'll join roadmap and launch planning with the product team before features ship, so the field has what it needs on day one.
You're an engineer who teaches. You've shipped products to users. You know the difference between a demo that raises awareness and one that creates champions. And you get as much energy from watching a seller nail your lab as from building it yourself.
Key responsibilities
Turn launches into field-ready content:
Translate new platform capabilities (API, tool use and MCP, Agent SDK, memory and skills) into demos, labs, and quick-reference guides within days of release, and build compelling demo scenarios across industries and developer personas
Deliver training that sticks:
Run Claude Platform training for technical onboarding and ongoing enablement programs, delivering hands-on sessions wherever the field gathers, from a 12-person lab to a 100-person field-readiness day
Coach the field:
Coach technical sellers on demo delivery through practice sessions and office hours
Scale beyond the live session:
Develop self-service resources and experimental tools so the field can learn without you in the room, and contribute to the tooling that scales enablement, including demo environments, content-freshness automation, and self-service infrastructure
Close the loop with product:
Stress-test new platform features before launch, then bring field signal back to product and product marketing on where sellers get stuck and what content would unlock the next deal
Measure what lands:
Track content usage and session feedback so you know what is working and what to retire
Minimum requirements
Experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as solutions architecture, sales engineering, developer relations, or technical enablement
Experience writing production-quality code and building technical demos
Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs and agents, including tool use, MCP, or agent frameworks, beyond prompting alone
Experience using AI coding tools as part of your daily engineering work
Experience delivering live technical training or talks to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience partnering directly with sales, solutions engineering, or other go-to-market teams
Preferred requirements
A portfolio you can show us: labs, courses, talks, or repos you built yourself
Experience with Claude Code, or a comparable agentic coding tool, as core infrastructure in your daily work
Experience building on the Claude Developer Platform through cloud providers such as Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or Microsoft Foundry
Experience as a technical founder, early startup employee, or 0-to-1 operator who has taken an idea to product-market fit
Public speaking, conference presentations, or community-facing developer advocacy
Experience building enablement tooling, such as demo environments, content-freshness automation, or self-service infrastructure
Deep enthusiasm for AI and genuine care about building it responsibly

The Fraud Prevention team protects Anthropic's payment and monetization surfaces from financial abuse — keeping fraud losses, dispute rates, and network monitoring exposure in check while preserving a smooth experience for legitimate customers. As a software engineer on this team, you will build the systems that make risk decisions in real time, manage the dispute and chargeback lifecycle, and detect monetization abuse across subscriptions, in-app purchases, and promotions. The ideal candidate can see things from attackers' perspectives, anticipate their responses to countermeasures, and never loses sight of the fact that a false positive here is a paying customer.
Payments fraud is more externally coupled than most trust and safety work — you'll collaborate closely with finance, support, and legal teams internally, and with payment processors and platform partners externally.
Responsibilities:
Design and build real-time risk decisioning that scores transactions at authorization time, balancing fraud loss, approval rates, and latency constraints
Build tooling and automation for the dispute and chargeback lifecycle, from review queues to evidence collection and loss reporting
Engineer fraud signals at scale — device fingerprinting, BIN and issuer signals, velocity features, and cross-account linkage — and detect monetization abuse across subscriptions, trials, promotions, and in-app purchases
Own a portfolio of metrics — loss rate, dispute rate, authorization approval impact, and false-positive rate — rather than optimizing any single number
Lead investigations into emerging fraud patterns, building multi-layered defenses designed for attacker adaptation rather than point-in-time rules
Work cross-functionally with finance, support, legal, and data science, and with external payment processors and platform partners
Minimum Qualifications:
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data analysis tools
Experience building or operating fraud, risk, or abuse detection systems in production
Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years of industry software engineering experience, with a focus on payments fraud or risk
Fluency with payments rails: card networks, payment service providers (e.g., Stripe, Adyen), in-app purchase platforms (Apple, Google), refund flows, and the chargeback and dispute lifecycle
Direct experience combating fraud typologies such as card testing, stolen-card monetization, refund and chargeback abuse, subscription and trial abuse, promotional abuse, and friendly fraud
Understanding of fraud loss accounting — fraud loss vs. dispute fees vs. card network monitoring programs (e.g., VDMP, i VFMP, Mastercard ECP) — and why chargeback rate thresholds carry existential stakes
Experience building hybrid rules-and-ML risk systems: real-time scoring at authorization plus post-authorization review workflows
Experience at a marketplace or subscription business, or on a processor-side or issuer-side risk team

Anthropic's Application Security team secures the systems that build, serve, and increasingly
are
Claude — and as Anthropic's footprint grows, that mandate now extends to companies and codebases we bring in from outside. This role establishes that function.
You'll own security due diligence and secure integration for Anthropic's acquisitions — assessing a target's security posture pre-close, writing the security risk readout for leadership, and after close, bringing acquired systems up to Anthropic's bar. Security has been part of every deal to date, but this is the first dedicated role for it: you'll formalize the playbook, the risk model, and the tooling, and make them repeatable.
This is an AppSec role first. You'll be an active member of the Application Security team — same rituals, same on-run rotation, same tooling, working alongside engineers securing Anthropic's own agentic product surfaces. The expectation is the same too: we use Claude as our primary tool, and you're expected to automate the repeatable parts of diligence and integration as you go, so each acquisition is easier than the last. When deal flow is quiet, you'll pick up core AppSec project work; when it's active, M&A is your priority.
We're upfront that the center of gravity here is M&A rather than core product security. It's burstier, more assessment-heavy, and operates on confidential, time-sensitive work. If you like parachuting into an unfamiliar codebase under time pressure and turning it into a clear risk picture for leadership, this is that job.
Key responsibilities
Lead pre-close security due diligence on prospective acquisitions — coordinate external penetration testing, threat-model the target's architecture, assess security controls, and deliver the security risk readout for leadership ahead of close and integration planning
Drive post-close security integration — stand up static and dynamic analysis coverage on acquired codebases, track high- and critical-severity remediation to closure, fold acquired assets into bug bounty scope, and onboard repositories to Anthropic's automated vulnerability remediation and reporting systems
Coordinate adjacent security engineering teams (supply chain, cloud, corporate security, detection & response) on their portions of each integration
Work across a wide set of stakeholders on every deal — corporate development, legal, security leadership, and the engineering teams inheriting acquired systems internally; engineering and security counterparts at the target company externally — translating between them and keeping the security workstream legible to all of them
Formalize and scale Anthropic's M&A security playbook — risk-scoring model, diligence runbook, integration checklist — and turn as much of it as possible into Claude-powered tooling rather than manual process
Share the team's operational on-run rotation (bug bounty escalations, launch consults, incident response), swapping out during periods of active deal work
Contribute to core AppSec projects between deals — secure design reviews, threat modeling for agentic systems, and the team's security automation roadmap
Minimum qualifications
Hands-on application and infrastructure security experience, including cloud and containerized environments
Demonstrated ability to rapidly assess an unfamiliar codebase or architecture and produce a clear, prioritized risk assessment for a non-security audience
Production-quality coding ability in at least one of Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript
Practical threat-modeling and vulnerability-identification skills — you've found and reasoned about real bugs in real systems
Comfort operating with high autonomy, ambiguity, and tightly-held confidential context
Clear written and verbal communication across varied audiences — executives, legal and corporate development partners, and engineering counterparts at an acquired company
Preferred qualifications
7+ years in application security, security consulting, or security architecture
Prior M&A security due diligence, third-party security assessment, or technical due diligence experience
Experience standing up or scaling SAST/DAST, bug bounty, or vulnerability management coverage across multiple codebases
Track record of building security automation or tooling rather than relying solely on manual review
Familiarity with using LLMs as a core part of your security workflow
Experience securing agentic, code-execution, or LLM-integrated systems
Representative projects
Point Anthropic's internal LLM-driven code analysis and AI-assisted scanning at an acquired repository nobody here has seen, and turn the output into a prioritized remediation plan in days rather than weeks
Design the risk-scoring framework Anthropic uses to compare security posture across acquisitions of different shapes and sizes
Build the automation that onboards an acquired codebase to Anthropic's vulnerability dashboard, dependency auto-patching, and bounty scope without a human running a checklist
Write the security risk memo for a live deal and present it to corporate development and security leadership

Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Our mission on the Connectivity team is to make Claude the most connected AI. As agents take on more real-world work, we're taking a leading role in defining how they get access to external systems — safely, with the right permissions, and in ways enterprises can trust. We ship for
claude.ai
, Claude Code, Cowork, and the API. We own the MCP proxy that routes every tool call and the OAuth and token management that keeps connections authenticated. We're also core contributors to the MCP spec — now an open standard under the Linux Foundation — and maintain the official Python and TypeScript SDKs.
We're looking for an experienced engineering leader to lead a team of Connectivity engineers based in London. The Connectivity team spans San Francisco and London, and you'll work closely with engineering leadership and partner teams in San Francisco to set direction and deliver together across both sites. You'll lead a team working on problems where reliability and enterprise trust are the bar: token refresh at scale, admin controls that let IT govern what agents can do, and proxy infrastructure that stays up when partner servers don't.
Key responsibilities
Lead a team of engineers building the connectivity infrastructure that powers tool use across Anthropic's product suite, from the MCP proxy to OAuth and token management
Take an inclusive, equitable approach to hiring and coaching top technical talent, and maintain a high-performing team
Coach, mentor, and provide career development guidance to your direct reports, helping them set and achieve their professional goals
Partner with Connectivity engineering leadership in San Francisco, along with product, security, and platform teams, to define the team's roadmap and create clarity for the team in an ambiguous and evolving environment
Drive cross-team and cross-org alignment to ship work that spans
claude.ai
, Claude Code, Cowork, and the API, working effectively with teams primarily based in the US
Establish and drive adoption of engineering best practices within your team, including the operational rigor (on-call, incident response, postmortems) required for infrastructure that other teams and external partners depend on
Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Anthropic's engineering management team
Minimum qualifications
Experience managing software engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
A technical background in backend or platform engineering, with the depth to guide architectural decisions and engage credibly in technical discussions
Experience operating production distributed systems, with an understanding of what reliability, observability, and incident response require at scale
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build consensus across teams and time zones
Demonstrated success building a culture of belonging, and of product and engineering excellence
Preferred qualifications
3+ years of experience as an engineering manager
Familiarity with MCP or experience contributing to open standards or open source ecosystems
Experience leading teams that collaborate closely with distributed or cross-timezone partner teams
Familiarity with authentication and authorization concepts such as OAuth, token management, or identity systems
Experience building or operating API gateways, proxies, or multi-tenant platforms
Experience building for enterprise customers, including admin controls, governance, and compliance requirements
Experience working on AI/ML products or agentic systems

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
As a Staff Engineer on the Datacenter Server Lifecycle team, you will own the end-to-end operational journey of every machine in our datacenters – from initial provisioning and deployment, steady-state operation, maintenance, and repair.
This is greenfield work: you will help define the services, tooling, standards and processes that govern how we operate critical hardware at scale, powering frontier model development and serving. You will have the opportunity to define AI-native workflows for datacenter operations and to help drive innovations on efficiency, performance, and reliability.
A distinguishing aspect of this role is its deep intersection with security. The machines in our datacenter handle some of the most sensitive workloads in AI – training frontier models and serving millions of users interacting with Claude. Ensuring that every machine in the fleet is trusted, attested, and operating with a verified chain of integrity from the hardware up is a core part of the job, not an afterthought. You will partner closely with our Infrastructure Security team to define and enforce trusted compute standards across the lifecycle, from secure provisioning through end-of-life handling.
Key responsibilities
Build automation to support datacenter fleets at scale.
Define and own the end-to-end system lifecycle strategy – from provisioning and deployment through operation, maintenance, refresh, and decommissioning – and maintain automation and operational procedures for common lifecycle events (e.g., hardware failures, firmware upgrades, fleet rotations).
Partner closely with Infrastructure Security to design and enforce trusted compute standards across the server lifecycle.
Work closely with our Networking team to ensure end-to-end connectivity across all sites.
Build and maintain tooling to track machine health, configuration, and operational status across the full datacenter fleet.
Minimum qualifications
Hands-on experience with server hardware, including rack deployment, cabling, troubleshooting, and understanding failure modes at scale.
End-to-end understanding of hardware lifecycle management: asset tracking, provisioning workflows, maintenance scheduling, and decommissioning practices.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Rust, Go, or Java).
Working knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes and large scale cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).
Ability to communicate clearly and build consensus with a wide range of stakeholders.
Comfort navigating ambiguity and making progress on complex, cross-functional problems.
Preferred qualifications
8+ years of experience in datacenter infrastructure management, or a closely related discipline.
Hands-on experience with GPU or AI accelerator hardware (e.g., NVIDIA A100/H100, Google TPUs, or AWS Trainium) and an understanding of their operational demands.
Familiarity with modern provisioning and OS tooling such as LinuxBoot and NixOS
Experience building or contributing to datacenter automation or fleet management platforms.
Experience building and deploying server operating system distributions across large server fleets.
Background in large-scale capacity planning and hardware refresh strategy, ideally at a hyperscaler or large cloud provider.
Experience with trusted compute and hardware security concepts such as secure boot, TPM, hardware attestation, and firmware verification — or a strong desire to develop deep expertise in this area.

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the team
Anthropic's Life Sciences team is building a world-class research group focused on making fundamental biological discoveries. The team combines cutting-edge AI with hands-on biological research, positioning Anthropic at the forefront of demonstrating how AI tools can accelerate scientific workflows and enable discovery.
About the role
We are hiring Research Associates: early-career bench scientists who will join a small team to help establish our biology research program. This is an entry-level role, great for individuals who have done some research during an undergrad or masters program and may be considering pursuing a PhD in Life Sciences in the future.
You'll work directly alongside senior scientists, executing and troubleshooting experiments at the bench while learning advanced techniques in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment. We value curiosity, careful hands, and the willingness to take ownership of a result. Our scientists are eager to teach; we're hiring for motivation and trajectory as much as for existing skill.
This is a fully hands-on bench role — while familiarity with computational biology and bioinformatics is welcome, the role does not involve AI/ML model development.
Key responsibilities
Execute molecular biology and biochemistry experiments at the bench under the direction of senior scientists
Maintain meticulous, reproducible records and contribute to shared protocols
Troubleshoot experiments, propose adjustments, and present results clearly in group meetings
Maintain mammalian and bacterial cell lines, materials stocks, and reagent inventories
Learn and adopt new techniques rapidly as projects evolve, with training provided
Minimum qualifications
Have hands-on research experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a closely related field
Are proficient with foundational molecular biology techniques: PCR, gel electrophoresis, molecular cloning, and plasmid preparation
Have experience with aseptic technique and bacterial or mammalian cell culture, and with nucleic acid extraction, purification, and quantification
Follow, document, and adapt experimental protocols with care and precision
Are highly motivated, eager to learn, and energized by hands-on bench work
Are practical and resourceful — you'd rather find a way through than a reason it can't be done
Listen carefully, take feedback well, ask good questions, and are comfortable when priorities shift quickly
Are excited to use AI models as a tool at the bench to plan experiments, interpret data, and decide what to try next
Preferred qualifications
A BS or MS in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemical biology, microbiology, bioengineering, or a related discipline
Protein expression and purification experience (e.g., affinity, SEC, IEX)
Mammalian cell culture experience, including transfection and stable line maintenance
Enzyme kinetics or quantitative biochemical assay development (fluorescence, absorbance, FRET)
Next-generation sequencing library preparation experience
Familiarity with common bioinformatics workflows and molecular biology software (e.g., sequence analysis, alignment, primer and construct design)
Experience using AI tools such as Claude in a research setting — for literature review, protocol drafting, data interpretation, or experimental troubleshooting
This is a rare opportunity to help define how a frontier AI company does biology. You'll learn quickly, work closely with people who want to teach, and see your results feed directly into how the most capable AI models are evaluated and improved.

Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

We are looking for a threat intel manager to build and run our Model Exploitation & Fraud team within Threat Intelligence. This team detects, investigates, and disrupts the large-scale exploitation of Anthropic's AI systems. Model distillation, unauthorized access, account farming and reseller abuse, and fraud and scam operations.
You will set the strategy for the mission area, hire and lead a small team of technical investigators, and build the systems, processes, and partnerships that let the team scale. The team includes established senior investigators who own our deepest technical casework, tracing distillation networks, reseller and proxy ecosystems, and financially motivated actors across first-party surfaces and third-party platforms; your job is to direct, resource, and amplify that work, not duplicate it. This area carries regular U.S. government engagement and requires deeply understanding external black market ecosystems and how they interact with our systems.
Important context: In this position you may be exposed to explicit content spanning a range of topics, including those of a sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing nature. This role may require responding to escalations during weekends and holidays.
Key responsibilities
Own strategy, priorities, and outcomes for the Model Exploitation & Fraud mission area; define what we detect, investigate, action, and share
Hire, manage, and develop a team of technical threat investigators; set the quality bar for casework and intelligence reporting
Design clear lanes between this role and the team's senior individual contributors: strategy, people leadership, and program ownership sit with you, while ownership of the deepest technical investigations and tradecraft stays with the senior experts closest to the work
Capable of independently leading complex investigations.
Direct, prioritize, and resource complex investigations into model distillation, unauthorized AI R&D usage, unauthorized access, coordinated account abuse, and fraud/scam networks, partnering with the senior investigators who lead the deepest technical casework and clearing blockers from their path
Drive the redesign of triage for a very high-volume detection pipeline: partner with investigators and engineering to build abuse signals, clustering, and agentic investigation workflows that separate sophisticated actors from noise
Expand the team's coverage into fraud and scams, building the detection and investigation playbooks from the ground up
Own the external engagement program for the area, including regular intelligence sharing with U.S. government partners and industry peers, ensuring the investigators driving the work are visible in those channels
Anticipate how resellers, proxies, and third-party platforms change the abuse surface, and shape coverage accordingly
Work with policy, enforcement, and engineering to convert findings into bans, product mitigations, and safety-by-design improvements
Define and report the team's metrics; brief Safeguards and company leadership on the threat landscape
Minimum qualifications
Have led and managed investigative, fraud, platform integrity, or threat intelligence teams, ideally ones built around senior, deeply specialized individual contributors
Have strong domain fluency in scaled abuse — fraud patterns, account abuse, unauthorized access, or platform exploitation economics — sufficient to set priorities, pressure-test findings, and earn the confidence of expert investigators
Are proficient enough in SQL and Python to review data-heavy casework, pressure-test conclusions, and provide surge capacity when the team needs it
Have experience overseeing investigations that track threat actors across surface, deep, and dark web environments, including reseller and access-broker communities
Have working familiarity with large language models and a strong grasp of how models can be distilled, extracted, or exploited at scale
Have built processes, detection systems, or programs from scratch and can show what changed because of them
Communicate crisply with executives, engineers, and external partners alike
Preferred qualifications
Experience at a major technology platform on trust and safety, fraud, or abuse investigations at scale
Background in financial crime investigation or fraud analytics
Experience working directly with U.S. government stakeholders on threat reporting
A track record of partnering with, growing, and retaining senior technical specialists, including defining clear scope between management and senior IC tracks
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and/or Russian with nuanced regional and geopolitical context
Active Top Secret security clearance
