WHO ARE WE?
Cohere is the leading security-first enterprise AI company. We build cutting-edge foundation AI models and end-to-end products that are designed to solve real-world business problems.
We’re training and deploying frontier models for enterprises who are building AI systems. We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI and we are looking for folks that want to be part of that.
We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. Cohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are all passionate about their craft.
We are a global technology company headquartered in Toronto with key offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul. Join us!
WHY THIS TEAM?
Internal Infrastructure builds the infrastructure and tools used to train, evaluate, and serve Cohere's foundation models. You will work with AI researchers and ML engineers on stability, scalability, and observability. The work accelerates the models behind Cohere's platform, North.
You will build the platform that runs training, evaluation, and reinforcement-learning workloads: job lifecycle, scheduling, workload networking, and the storage those jobs depend on. The role includes a compensated 24x7 on-call rotation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own the platform that schedules and runs training, evaluation, and reinforcement-learning jobs on Kubernetes: who gets capacity, what happens when a job fails, and how a researcher finds out whether the platform caused it.
- Build the networking and runtime isolation those workloads need, including agent and sandbox environments.
- Work with the data infrastructure team on storage for checkpoints and other training artifacts.
- Troubleshoot production failures and performance problems, and leave the system easier to operate than you found it.
- Build automation, infrastructure-as-code, and observability so the platform stays maintainable.
We hire at more than one level. We set level based on the scope you've owned and how independently you drive work.
YOU MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE
- Run a job platform, batch system, or Kubernetes controllers in production. Scheduling, queues, and multi-tenant fairness are central to this work.
- Shown distributed systems judgment: retries, partial failure, and knowing what not to automate.
- Worked on ML training workflows, RL sandboxes, container networking (CNI), or checkpoint storage at scale. Direct GPU-cluster experience is a plus.
- Written software in Python or Go. You would rather extend a solid open-source project than rebuild it.
- Worked with researchers, ML engineers, or another team whose goals were not identical to yours.
- Found a bottleneck, proposed a fix, and driven it in a fast-moving environment.
If this does not line up exactly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply.
FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES AT COHERE ENJOY THESE PERKS:
- A weekly lunch stipend of $75/£75 or equivalent in your local currency for lunch.
- Full health and dental benefits, including a separate budget for mental health.
- RRSP matching, 401K, Pension Scheme.
- 100% Parental Leave top-up for up to 6 months, for either parent.
- Annual enrichment benefits:
Arts & culture, fitness/wellness, quality time, and a workspace improvement credit.
Education & learning stipend for conferences, courses, and coaching.
- 6 weeks of paid vacation (30 working days!)
- Budget for traveling to other offices if you are remote, plus an annual company offsite.
HOW AND WHERE WE WORK:
- Cohere is remote-friendly, but we also have offices in Toronto, London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul with more opening soon.
- For those in the office: a daily lunch program, plenty of snacks, and regular community and social events.
- For those not near an office: a co-working benefit so you can work alongside others in your city.
- Everyone receives a $500 home office stipend to set up your workspace properly.
If any of the above doesn’t line up exactly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply.

You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
This is a remote opportunity and we would be interested in applications from Spain.
The Opportunity:
The Grafana Alerting squad operates at the core of the Grafana open-source project
(link)
, and our mission is to provide the most in-depth way to let users manage their alerts. The backend-focused team works closely with customers and the Grafana Cloud teams to make Alerting work on-prem and at infinite scale in Cloud. The team's scope spans both Grafana Alerting and the SLOs product, so engineers get to work across two products that are deeply connected in how they help users detect and respond to problems.
Grafana Alerting is trusted by major organizations worldwide, monitoring essential medical devices and critical infrastructure. We thrive on collective creativity and diverse perspectives, every team member is encouraged to contribute ideas that shape our product into a dependable tool.
Our domain is quite large, so to get an idea of the kind of work we do, here are some projects we recently worked on:
Build distributed systems to scale alert ingestion and delivery of Prometheus-based alerts
Unify Alerting setup and delivery to work the same for Grafana and Prometheus-based alerts
Build distributed systems to scale alert evaluation of Grafana-managed alerts, reaching over 500 evaluations per second in production.
Grafana Alerting is trusted by major organizations worldwide, monitoring essential medical devices and critical infrastructure. We thrive on collective creativity and diverse perspectives, every team member is encouraged to contribute ideas that shape our product into a dependable tool.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Take an active role in influencing our roadmap and your own career objectives
Work with your team to deliver new features, then use the results to iterate and improve.
Drive projects from initial ideation all the way to operations once it is in the hands of customers
Embrace our open-source culture and contribute to other projects that may not directly fall within your team’s scope
Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning the reliability, performance, and availability
Be a part of your team’s on-call rotations and take ownership of the services you’re running
Mentor and support other team members, participate in design discussions and collaborate with the team
Learn new skills by gaining a deeper understanding of our cloud product and our customers and getting to know the codebase of a large distributed system
As we are remote-first and our engineering organization is largely remote, we provide guidance and meet regularly using video calls, so an independent attitude and good communication skills are a must.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
You are a motivated self starter with a bias towards action
You are customer focused
We build everything with our users in mind.
You have a passion for creating intuitive products that fit customers’ needs
Pragmatism: You are able to take on complex challenges and break them down to achieve short feedback loops: to analyze, design, and build modular solutions, deliver MVPs, gather data and feedback and then progress iteratively
Collaboration and communication: The smallest unit we have is a team. You’ll be working with your teammates in a fully remote setup. Good communication skills are a must
Solid experience with at least one programming language. We use Go, but if you have familiarity with Python, Java, C++, Rust or similar then that translates well
Some experience with delivering projects from gathering requirements, brainstorming ideas all the way to shipping a product to the customer’s hands in a self-driven way
Some experience with developing software that runs in the Cloud
or
some experience with systems engineering
Experience writing clean, robust, and performant software that is easily maintained by others

Be visible as an OpenTelemetry expert. Teach others, promote best practices around OpenTelemetry, semantic conventions, and various technologies and frameworks. Both within Grafana Labs and in the broader OpenTelemetry community.
Support the technical direction and vision of the team, and contribute to business conversations on the OpenTelemetry strategy at Grafana Labs. Own projects from an ambiguous problem through design, implementation, testing, documentation, and release.
Partner in an open and respectful way. Lend your knowledge and skills to our GTM, Product and Support teams. Join customer conversations, investigate instrumentation issues, and turn what you learn into fixes and practical guidance.
As we are remote-first and our engineering organization is largely remote, we provide guidance and meet regularly using video calls, so high agency and good communication skills are a must.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
At Grafana Labs, Staff Engineers are defined by the impact they have and the people they enable. You take ownership of complex problems, set technical direction, and help others deliver improvements that matter to customers and the OpenTelemetry community.
8+ years of experience in software development, with strong proficiency in Python and experience debugging production software, language internals, libraries, and asynchronous code.
An interest in AI applications and agent systems, and curiosity about how to instrument and troubleshoot them. Prior experience building AI systems is helpful, but not required.

ClickHouse started as an open-source project that developers picked up on their own, told each other about, and built companies on. That community is still the reason most people first hear of us, and it is why ClickHouse Cloud fills with new users every day. As the database becomes a platform for real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI workloads, the community has more to learn from us and more to teach us than ever. Developer relations is how we hold up our end of that relationship.
As Head of Developer Relations, you’ll own how developers discover ClickHouse, get productive on it, and bring others along: the developer experience, the technical content that teaches it, the channels where developers find it, and the community that carries it. You’ll lead our global team of developer advocates and give the function the goals, systems, and investment of a core growth channel. You’ll partner closely with product marketing engineers, field marketing in every region, and product and engineering, and you’ll inherit a strong, globally distributed team and a community that has been generous with us for years. If you believe developer relations starts with helping people, that trust is the only thing that compounds, and that the work should be measured like any other growth investment, this is a rare seat.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Lead, coach, and grow a globally distributed team of developer advocates, and set ClickHouse’s long-term developer and community strategy with marketing, product, and engineering leadership, turned into a multi-year plan with headcount, budget, and investment priorities
- Own the developer experience from the outside in: track time to first query and getting-started completion, run friction logs on the onboarding path and docs, and own the feedback loop into product and engineering on what developers are building, where they get stuck, and what they want next
- Own the Developer Relations budget and represent the function to customers, partners, and the open-source community, on stage and on a podcast
- Set targets across the whole function: community growth and engagement on Slack, Reddit, GitHub, YouTube, and your advocates’ own platforms, developer-experience measures, and content and channel reach, and report on them like any growth channel
- Build the champions program into a real force, with clear tracks for customers, open-source users, and independent voices, so the community grows the community
- Build DevRel’s owned channels into audiences: YouTube, newsletter, podcast, and advocates’ own platforms, with a content system that turns one talk or demo into a tutorial, a video, and posts, and creator partnerships that extend reach beyond our own
- Run the developer-event portfolio as one input to that engine: meetups, conference talks, and practitioner-led sessions chosen with intent, each producing recorded and written material, with attendance that becomes a signal the business can use
- Shape developer education and technical content, from tutorials and workshops to courses and certification, in tandem with the training team, product marketing engineers, and the organic and AEO team on a shared publishing map (which channels matter most, what belongs on each, and who owns it), so each piece goes where developers learn now: docs, video, and AI assistants
- Work with regional field marketing to support in-region developer programs and the startup and partner ecosystem
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience leading a developer relations or community team at an infrastructure company, with direct management of 4 or more people and strong leadership of a distributed team
- Deep technical skill: you can write the demo, ship the tutorial, and go deep with engineers on how a database works
- Experience running developer events and speaking programs where the room was chosen with intent
- Experience building developer education or content programs that scaled beyond the people who made them: tutorials, courses, video, or docs that developers still find and use
- Experience growing owned developer channels (YouTube, newsletter, podcast, or similar) to a real audience, and a point of view on how developers find technical content now, including through AI assistants
- Experience building or scaling developer programs, including a champions, ambassador, or MVP program, with a track record of innovation
- Experience putting numbers on community work and defending them, from growth and engagement to the connection with signups and pipeline, without turning advocates into salespeople
- Comfort operating globally and cross-functionally with product, engineering, product marketing, and field teams
- Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time
- DevRel or community leadership around an open-source project with a real community, and experience growing that community without losing its trust
PERKS
- Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries.
- Healthcare - Employer contributions towards your healthcare.
- Equity in the company - Every new team member who joins our company receives stock options.
- Time off - Flexible time off in the US, generous entitlement in other countries.

You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
This is a remote opportunity and we would be interested in applications from Germany, UK, Ireland and Spain.
The Opportunity:
Grafana Cloud is our composable observability platform that integrates metrics, logs, and traces with Grafana. The Observability department is focused on enabling developers to understand the health and performance of their applications and infrastructure in any environment by providing tools to instrument their code, ingest observability data into Grafana Cloud and visualize and explore it.
The OpenTelemetry SDKs team's mission is to make sure our users succeed in instrumenting their software with OpenTelemetry. We work closely with the
OpenTelemetry SIGs
to make OpenTelemetry SDKs and instrumentation libraries a success. Members of this team are experts in at least one programming language and have a broad knowledge of various other programming languages.
In this role, you will focus on a language-specific implementation of
OpenTelemetry in Python
, with an emphasis on
OpenTelemetry for Generative AI
. You will get to work in an upstream-first approach, helping accelerate the OpenTelemetry project while bringing the innovations to Grafana labs products and offerings.
As a company we are remote-first and global, we embrace people of different experiences and backgrounds to build diverse teams where every person brings a unique perspective to the software. We are looking for Engineers that are passionate about communicating with data and providing seamless experiences for our customers to join our growing team! Engineers at Grafana also have the opportunity to contribute to Open Source communities.
At Grafana Labs, ICs have a dedicated career path and do not have to become managers to progress in their career. Staff Software Engineers at Grafana have a large amount of experience across multiple areas. They are able to estimate, plan, coordinate and deliver large tasks spanning multiple systems. Collaborate with Product Management, Product Design and backend engineers to build intuitive user experiences using clean, reusable components, contributing to supporting APIs and backend functionality where needed.
Mentor and collaborate with other engineers. Raise the engineering bar through code review, design feedback, pairing on hard problems, and writing that leaves the team better than you found it.
Participate in on-call for the software you help build, contributing to incident response and learning from incidents.
Provide technical support in customer escalations and help us identify areas of high friction to address.
Collaborate with other squads on shared dependencies, contribute to design proposals, and share the team’s work through demos and technical discussions.
We invest heavily in developer productivity. You can use modern AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow (your choice of tools, within security guidelines), backed by a company-funded usage budget so you can iterate quickly without unnecessary friction. We encourage pragmatic AI-assisted development: faster prototyping, test generation, refactors, documentation, and incident follow-ups, always with strong code review and quality standards. You'll also have access to the latest frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
What makes you a great fit:
We highly value those who are
intellectually curious
, who
default to transparency
, possess a high
bias towards action
, and who are also
kind and enjoy working as a team
.
Strong frontend engineering experience, with experience across the stack.
You have experience building and maintaining production web applications with React and TypeScript, and are comfortable contributing to backend services and APIs. You value maintainability, readability, automated testing and secure development practices.
Technical ownership.
You have solid experience delivering complex projects, mentoring other engineers and helping teammates work more effectively. You communicate clearly in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.

You will run the shared Kubernetes fleets those workloads land on: multi-cloud GPU and TPU clusters, node health, performance, and the partnership with cloud providers and hardware vendors. The role includes a compensated 24x7 on-call rotation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Deploy and operate GPU Kubernetes clusters across clouds, and bring up new hardware generations and providers.
- Work with cloud providers and hardware partners on reliability, performance, and cost, including RDMA and high-speed interconnects.
- Automate node, GPU, and fabric fault detection and remediation so most faults are fixed without a human.
- Improve fleet utilization, track cost, and cut the time it takes to get a faulty node back into service.
- Troubleshoot production failures and performance problems, and leave the system easier to operate than you found it.
We hire at more than one level. We set level based on the scope you've owned and how independently you drive work.
YOU MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE
- Run GPU Kubernetes clusters with thousands of GPUs for ML or HPC workloads.
- Debugged Linux, networking, and performance problems. Familiarity with RDMA, NCCL, or accelerator health is a plus.

We strive to create an inclusive work environment for all; we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to providing equal opportunities. Should you require any accommodations during the recruitment process, please submit an Accommodations Request Form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/12a6IrLdF3kI2nonKSr4tiFuz18rLQbaeYV-JM9L4o9Q/edit, and we will work together to meet your needs.
We may use AI-enabled tools to screen and assess applicants against the criteria for this position. This helps our recruiters identify potentially qualified candidates, but it doesn't limit the applications our recruiters may review or consider.
Beware of Scams: Cohere will never ask for payment or third-party services (e.g., CV writing) as part of our hiring process. All legitimate roles are listed on the Cohere careers page and LinkedIn only, with all communications from Cohere employees coming from an @cohere.com or @cw.cohere email alias. Within the Observability department, we build products that help customers understand and troubleshoot their applications and infrastructure. We work closely with product management, design and other engineering squads to provide seamless and highly curated experiences for our customers.
The squad: Database Observability
We build and evolve Grafana Cloud Database Observability. We want to help users understand the health and performance of their databases, identify slow queries and troubleshoot issues through clear, actionable insights.
As a frontend engineer on the squad, you’ll build experiences that make complex database telemetry easy to explore and understand. You’ll work closely with backend engineers, product management and design to take ideas from early exploration through to production and improve them based on customer feedback.
Our frontend stack is primarily TypeScript and React, interacting with backends written in Go. Your primary focus will be frontend engineering, with opportunities to work across the stack, contributing to APIs and backend functionality to deliver complete customer experiences. Frontend engineers at Grafana also have opportunities to contribute to open source communities.
The opportunity:
Own technical projects from problem framing through rollout, including getting user feedback and measuring whether what you shipped actually worked.

Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
As a Talent Acquisition Operations Associate, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition and Operations, you will help run the operations behind Payward’s global hiring engine. You will support the systems, processes, and coordination that keep hiring moving at pace, from interview operations and executive hiring to pre-boarding, background checks, and new hire setup in Workday. This role extends well beyond scheduling. It requires a strategic view of how a fast-growing, global company hires, along with precision, discretion, and sound judgment.
You will partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and executive assistants to support scheduling, anticipate bottlenecks, and keep stakeholders aligned at every stage. You will work heavily in our recruiting tools, keeping candidate and hiring data accurate and up to date across regions.
This is a 6-month fixed-term position supporting US timezones.
The opportunity
- Own interview operations end to end, partnering with recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates across regions and time zones to deliver a seamless candidate experience
- Support global executive and non-executive hiring operations, including scheduling and rescheduling, tracking and candidate communications
- Partner with executive assistants across regions to coordinate calendars and keep hiring timelines on track
- Own pre-boarding for new hires worldwide, including country-specific background check requirements and communications, tracking progress, resolving issues, and flagging risks to start dates early
- Create and maintain accurate candidate and hiring records in Ashby and Workday, and ensure new hire data is complete and timely for hires in every region
- Partner with onboarding, recruiting, and hiring managers to create a seamless transition from offer acceptance to day one
- Apply our hiring policies accurately and consistently across regions, flagging exceptions and escalating early
What you bring
- 4+ years in recruiting coordination, talent acquisition operations, HR operations, or a similar role, ideally in a high-growth, global environment spanning NORAM, EMEA, LATAM, APAC and MENA
- Hands-on experience with Workday or a comparable HRIS, and familiarity with applicant tracking systems (Ashby a plus)
- Experience supporting pre-boarding and onboarding, including coordinating background checks, tracking progress, resolving issues, and flagging risks to start dates early
- Working knowledge of background check processes and requirements across multiple countries and regions
- Comfort coordinating across time zones, with the ability to manage complex, high-volume calendars and logistics with exceptional precision and no missed details
- Exceptional judgment and discretion in handling confidential candidate and executive information
- Excellent communication skills and the professionalism to work comfortably with executives, hiring managers, and candidates from diverse regions and cultures
- The ability to prioritize competing deadlines and adapt quickly
Nice to have
- Experience in crypto, fintech, or another regulated industry
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.
