Location:
Austin, TX - primarily in person
Reports To:
Pod Lead
What Is a Pod?
inKind operates through Pods: small, autonomous teams that own a business outcome from idea to impact.
Pods bring together Product, Engineering, Data, Design, Growth, and commercial expertise to find opportunities, build solutions, launch quickly, and measure results.
There are no traditional handoffs. The Pod owns the outcome.
Examples of problems a Pod might own include:
Increasing active users, engagement, and retention
Improving restaurant discovery and personalization
Helping restaurant partners acquire customers and grow revenue
Improving restaurant onboarding and activation
Building new AI-powered experiences
Testing new products, incentives, and growth opportunities
The Role
This is not a traditional Product Manager role.
We're looking for builders and operators who can work across Product, Engineering, Data, Growth, AI, and commercial strategy.
You'll identify opportunities, get into the data, shape solutions, work directly with engineers, launch products, and determine whether they actually worked.
You're not here to manage a backlog. You're here to solve important problems.
What We're Looking For
We want people with experience across several of these areas:
Product:
Finding problems, shaping solutions, and shipping products.
0 → 1:
Taking ideas from ambiguity to launch.
Technical:
Working deeply with Engineering and understanding technical tradeoffs.
Data:
Using data to find opportunities, make decisions, and measure impact.
Growth:
Acquisition, conversion, engagement, retention, and experimentation.
Commercial:
Understanding revenue, ROI, unit economics, and business models.
B2C + B2B:
Understanding both consumer behavior and business/partner needs.
AI:
Using AI to prototype, automate, analyze, and build faster.
You don't need to be an expert in everything. But traditional PM experience alone isn't enough.
What You'll Do
Own a Pod objective and take responsibility for moving the metrics behind it.
Turn broad business problems into clear priorities and executable plans.
Decide what matters most and keep the Pod focused on the highest-impact work.
Bring the right people together and drive decisions when there isn't an obvious answer.
Spot blockers, risks, and opportunities early—and do something about them.
Challenge assumptions and push the team toward simpler, faster solutions.
Stay close to customers and partners to understand what actually needs solving.
Measure what happens after launch and determine what to scale, change, or stop.
Step outside your functional lane when that's what the outcome requires.
Create momentum and own the result.
Why inKind?
You'll operate across Product, Engineering, Data, AI, Growth, B2C, B2B, and commercial strategy with unusually broad ownership.
We're looking for people who want to build, experiment, understand the whole business, and own measurable results.

About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

a. Background:

Position Summary
This is not a traditional accounting role, and we are not looking for a software engineer.
We are looking for a
systems-oriented problem solver
who is naturally good at understanding how things work, breaking complicated processes into logical steps, working with financial data, and figuring out what is happening when something doesn’t work as expected.
You will sit at the intersection of
Finance, Accounting, Data, and Technology
, helping operate and improve the automated workflows that support our financial infrastructure.
A significant portion of the role will involve working in
NetSuite
, alongside tools such as Google Sheets, SQL, internal data sources, integrations, and third-party platforms.
You do not need to be an expert programmer. You do need to be comfortable looking at an unfamiliar process, dataset, formula, query, or piece of logic and methodically figuring out how it works.
The ideal person has strong numerical intuition, exceptional attention to detail, and the curiosity to ask not only
“Is this number correct?”
but also
“Where did this number come from, how did it get here, and how could we make this process better?”
What You Will Do
Finance & Accounting Operations
Operate and maintain recurring accounting and finance workflows, including cash transaction categorization, journal entry preparation and uploads, reconciliations, and weekly/monthly reporting processes.
Work extensively within NetSuite to support accounting operations, investigate issues, manage imports, and maintain accurate financial information.
Manage the inputs and outputs of automated finance processes, including data validation, CSV preparation and uploads, exception handling, and transaction-level corrections.
Adapt established processes to accommodate one-off transactions, new business scenarios, and evolving Finance requirements.
Support weekly and monthly accounting close activities and maintain the automated workflows supporting those processes.
Systems, Data & Automation
Monitor automated financial data flows from source systems through accounting, forecasting, and reporting outputs.
Ensure the continued availability, completeness, and accuracy of transaction history, balances, forecasts, and other financial information used across the organization.
Build, maintain, and troubleshoot automated financial workflows across accounting systems, internal data sources, and third-party platforms.
Investigate issues across Google Sheets logic, SQL queries, CSV imports, integrations, NetSuite, and other financial systems.
Trace data through multiple systems to identify where errors or inconsistencies originate.
Independently resolve routine systems and data issues while identifying the source, scope, and appropriate escalation path for more complex problems.
Process Improvement & Problem Solving
Break complex financial processes into clear, logical steps and identify opportunities to simplify or automate them.
Understand existing formulas, queries, scripts, integrations, and workflows well enough to troubleshoot and improve them.
Identify repetitive manual processes that could be standardized, automated, or eliminated.
Support the implementation of new products, systems, and business processes as they interact with Accounting and Finance.
Create ad-hoc reporting, tools, and analyses to answer new business questions.
Partner across Finance, Accounting, Product, Engineering, Data, and other teams to translate business requirements into practical solutions.
Document processes and workflows so that systems remain understandable, scalable, and maintainable as the company grows.
What We Are Looking For
Strong
systems thinking
— you naturally break problems into inputs, rules, dependencies, outputs, and exceptions.
Strong

An overview of this role
As a Senior Professional Services Engineer at GitLab, you'll work directly with customers to deliver installation, migration, training, and advisory services that help them adopt GitLab successfully. You'll lead engagements from single-node Omnibus installs to large reference architectures built with infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration as code. You'll also guide migrations from other systems to GitLab SaaS or self-managed deployments, and help customers make practical decisions that improve reliability, security, and day-to-day workflows.
In this role, you'll work closely with customers and GitLab's product and engineering teams to drive customer success and share feedback that improves GitLab and how we deliver services. You'll manage multiple projects at once, mentor other Professional Services Engineers, and help streamline how we deliver consistent outcomes in a remote, largely asynchronous environment.
Some examples of our projects:
Designing and delivering GitLab installations and reference architectures using tools like Terraform and Ansible across major cloud providers
Leading migrations to GitLab SaaS or self-managed GitLab, and turning customer feedback into actionable improvements for GitLab's product and engineering teams
What you’ll do
Deliver GitLab Professional Services engagements, including installation, migration, training, and advisory services across GitLab capabilities.
Plan and execute deployments ranging from single-node Omnibus installations to large reference architectures using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code practices.
Lead migrations from multiple source systems to GitLab SaaS or self-managed GitLab, helping customers adopt secure, reliable workflows.
Partner with Engagement Managers and Project Managers to improve delivery consistency, remove friction, and continuously refine delivery processes.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor for customers, translating goals and constraints into practical implementation plans and clear next steps.
Interface with GitLab's product and engineering teams to unblock customer outcomes and share feedback that helps improve GitLab features and services.
Mentor Associate and Intermediate Professional Services Engineers, providing technical guidance, helping remove blockers, and supporting increased autonomy.
Manage and deliver multiple customer engagements at once, either as the primary engineer or as a lead providing oversight and direction to other engineers.
What you’ll bring
Professional exposure with one or more infrastructure as code or configuration as code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, or Chef.
Professional exposure with two or more cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
Experience using, deploying, or configuring GitLab, including a solid understanding of Git and source control workflows.
Experience delivering customer-facing services such as installation, migration, training, and advisory engagements across GitLab's feature set.
Proven ability to independently manage one or more projects and to lead and provide direction to other Professional Services Engineers on complex engagements.
Strong communication skills in English, written and verbal, with the ability to provide clear status updates and build consensus with peers and customers in a remote, largely asynchronous environment.
Demonstrated ability to take a solution-oriented approach by identifying root causes, proposing options and tradeoffs, and driving issues to resolution while balancing multiple customer engagements in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fully remote organization by communicating clearly in writing, documenting decisions, collaborating asynchronously across time zones, and working in ways consistent with GitLab's values.
Must be located in Japan and have full working rights in Japan

VALD
is the world leader in technology for the allied health industry, providing innovative human-measurement technology to over 10,000 clients in over 100 countries. If you have a favorite team in the NBA, EPL, or NFL, there's a good chance they use VALD Technologies.
Years on from its humble beginnings in Brisbane, Australia, VALD has grown to a team of over 300 team members in over 30 countries, with five offices across four continents.
Driven by a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, sports scientists, designers, developers and engineers, VALD’s suite of systems offer unparalleled insight into human movement, performance, injury risk and rehabilitation.
About the role
VALD is building the world’s largest musculoskeletal database, with over two billion data points and counting. Using this data, we can help practitioners to objectively assess patients’ progress and make more accurate, data-informed treatment decisions. We are looking for someone who has hybrid experience in data engineering and data analysis to help shape the future of the VALD Data Lakehouse.
In this role, you will
Build agentic capabilities:
design and ship production agent workflows, including orchestration, tool calling, MCP servers, skills and context management.
Ground AI in data:
build retrieval, search and data-querying capabilities across our data platforms, including Snowflake Cortex and Databricks.
Own quality in production:
design and evolve evaluation, monitor quality, feedback, cost and latency, and make improvements to accuracy and robustness
Build in safety and security:
implement guardrails that keep responses within agreed scope, and ensure each customer's data and context stay securely isolated.
Ship through automation:
deploy AI components through version-controlled pipelines, promoted consistently across environments and regions.
Integrate across teams:
work with data engineering, platform and deployment teams to bring AI capabilities into the VALD product suite.
Shape what gets built:
influence architecture and product decisions, and proactively find ways to improve robustness.
Is this you?
This is a hands-on engineering role for builders, not a research or manual testing position. You don't need every tool on this page. We'd rather hear about one difficult AI system you've built to solve a business problem and maintained in operation, rather than a long list of technologies you've used. We're chasing:
Strong software engineering skills
in modern languages, with the depth to own what you build through deployment and operation.
A record of shipping
LLM-powered or agentic products through to production.
Hands-on experience evaluating AI systems
and using the results to drive decisions.
Practical experience
with retrieval, tool use and agent design.
A clear communicator
who can explain trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
Beneficial experience:
Azure
MCPs
AI in health and regulated environments

The opportunity to work in a company that is redefining allied healthcare.
Working with a range of high-performing individuals and teams across a range of disciplines.
Working with contemporary tooling on industry first applications.
Casual work attire.
Chefs that prepare you delicious fresh breakfast and lunch.
An on-site barista to make your coffee just as you like it.
A team gym, masseuse, and access to physiotherapy and exercise physiology services.

VALD’s best asset is not our technology but our people and culture. A culture of inclusion and diversity is critical to our business. We know diverse teams perform better. It's not a separate initiative – we aim to embed inclusion and diversity in everything we do. We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds.
