We’re scaling fast and staying true to what makes us different: an open-source legacy, a global collaborative culture, and a passion for meaningful work. Our team thrives in an innovation-driven environment where transparency, autonomy, and trust fuel everything we do.
You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
This is a remote opportunity and we are looking for candidates from the UK, Sweden, Spain or Germany.
About the role:
Grafana Cloud runs Mimir, Loki, Tempo and Pyroscope as multi-tenant SaaS databases across AWS, GCP and Azure in regions worldwide. Our highest-SLA customers depend on them to run their businesses. We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to keep these systems reliable at scale.
The role combines building and operating. You’ll write the software, automation and product changes that make our databases more reliable, including changes to the Mimir, Loki and Tempo codebases where reliability calls for it. You’ll also be on call for our highest-SLA customers and handle the operational work that comes with it. You’ll bring a production mindset to product engineering and engineering rigor to reliability, and you’ll set technical direction across squads.
What You’ll Do
Build reliability into the product.
Write production code in our services, tooling and the Mimir, Loki and Tempo codebases that makes our databases more resilient, self-healing and scalable as demand grows quickly.
Build automation and platform tooling
that removes toil and scales our reliability practices across regions and cloud providers.
Lead technical design.
Author design docs, review others’ designs and PRs, and shape feature design so it’s scalable and operable from day one.
Own the SLO framework.
Define and evolve per-tenant SLOs and reliability models. Use SLO burn and incident learnings to find and fix the causes of failure in the systems themselves.
Improve observability and alerting
so we find problems before customers do, and so escalations are actionable rather than noisy.
Be on call for our highest-SLA customers.
Act as a technical escalation point for complex customer environments. Lead customer-impacting incident response, including customer bridge calls when needed, and write blameless post-incident reviews that lead to engineering fixes.
Handle the operational work that comes from on-call.
This includes investigating customer escalations, following up on incident actions, tuning capacity and configuration, and turning recurring issues into permanent fixes or automation.
Multiply the team.
Mentor engineers, teach reliability practices that teams adopt early in development, and work with engineering leadership on roadmaps and product strategy.
We highly value those who are intellectually curious, who default to transparency, possess a high bias towards action, and who are also kind (this is important!)
On-Call
Weekday on-call is 12-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, split between North America and Europe so you cover your local working hours. Weekends are covered by a separate 24-hour rotation. You’ll take a weekend roughly once every six to eight weeks.
What We’re Looking For:
8+ years of software engineering experience, including significant time building and owning distributed systems in production.
Strong production software skills, ideally in at least one object-oriented language. You write clean, tested code and can make targeted changes in large open-source codebases you didn’t write.
Deep understanding of distributed systems: performance, scaling and failure modes. You can reason about how a system will break before it does.
Experience running multi-tenant systems at scale on Kubernetes in AWS, GCP or Azure, with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Helm or Jsonnet.
Hands-on experience designing and implementing SLOs.
Experience being on call for production systems. You troubleshoot calmly and methodically under pressure, and you’ve taken part in blameless incident response and written high-quality post-incident reviews.
Staff-level technical leadership: driving cross-team projects, setting technical direction and making the engineers around you better.
Working knowledge of Linux internals, networking and cloud storage.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Pyroscope, Prometheus or other observability and time-series databases.
Open-source contributions.
Customer reliability engineering (CRE) or customer-facing escalation experience.

POWER A WORLD OF TRUST
Incode is the leading provider of world-class identity solutions that is reinventing the way humans authenticate and verify their identities online to power a world of digital trust.
Through our revolutionary identity solutions, we are unleashing the business potential of universal industries including finance, government, retail, hospitality, gaming, and more, by reducing fraud and transforming human interactions with data, products, and services.
We’re in the process of rapidly scaling our diverse global team and we’re looking for entrepreneurial individuals and leaders who are curious, driven, and excited by ownership to join a Unicorn-status scale-up!
About Incode
Incode Technologies is a leader in identity verification, offering innovative, AI-driven solutions tailored to diverse industry needs — from financial services to social media and marketplaces. Our platform is designed to maximize user conversion while minimizing fraud, through a multi-layered approach that includes proprietary AI, deepfake detection, and efficient user re-engagement tools. With close to 99% accuracy in facial recognition tied directly to official document issuance systems, and enterprise partnerships with Citibank, HSBC, Amazon, and Chime, Incode stands apart. With over $250M raised from General Atlantic and SoftBank, we're driving the future of digital trust — and we need a builder-minded Total Rewards leader who can design world-class reward programs from the ground up and own every detail of their execution.
The Impact You'll Make
Incode's Total Rewards function is at an inflection point. Over the past year we moved from a stock-option-only program to a new equity framework that blends time-based options with performance RSUs tied to ARR milestones, launched equity plans in new jurisdictions, expanded our market data, and scoped a job-architecture and leveling project ahead of the next compensation cycle. What we have not had is a single leader who owns all of it end to end.
As Vice President, Total Rewards, you will own compensation, equity, benefits and rewards operations for Incoders across the US, LATAM and EMEA. You'll be the executive the CEO, the Board and the leadership team turn to on pay decisions — from a Regional VP's offer in Mexico City to board member grants — and you'll build the governance, systems and team that make those decisions consistent, data-backed and fast.
This is a build-and-run role. You set the strategy — and you roll up your sleeves during the comp cycle.
What You'll Own & Drive
Rewards Strategy & Governance
— Define and steward Incode's compensation philosophy, market positioning and pay mix by region. Build the approval matrix, offer guidelines and exception process so decisions are consistent and quick. Serve as authorized signatory for promotions, salary increases, compensation adjustments and bonus confirmations.
Job Architecture & Leveling
— Lead the job-architecture and leveling project with our external compensation advisors and People Partners, and land it before the next compensation cycle: job families, levels, salary structures and career frameworks, with the metrics that show it worked.
Compensation Cycles
— Run the annual compensation and performance-linked increase cycle end to end with Finance and People Partners: budget by organization, band updates, manager recommendation frameworks, calibration support, letters and communications. Design and administer bonus and MBO plans with Finance.
Equity
— Own the equity program: new-hire, promotion, refresh and performance grants; the options-to-RSU framework and vesting design; board and advisor grants; and coordination with Finance, Legal and outside counsel on board resolutions, 409A valuations, the cap table and international plan compliance. Lead equity education for managers and employees.
Executive & Offer Compensation
— Partner with the CEO, CBOO and Talent Acquisition on executive and GM packages (base and variable mix, equity structure, sign-on and clawback terms), and support the Board's compensation committee on executive pay and benchmarking.
Global Benefits
— Set the benefits strategy by region with an impact-versus-cost lens; manage brokers, renewals and leave policies across countries so that what we offer in Mexico City, Belgrade and San Francisco each feels like Incode.
Sales Compensation Partnership
— Partner with Finance and Revenue Operations on sales and customer-success variable plan design, quota-setting methodology, pay mix and payout governance, bringing market data and plan-design discipline.
M&A Integration
— Lead rewards harmonization for acquisitions, including equity plan assumption, leveling alignment and benefits integration.
Tooling & AI
— Build an AI-enabled Total Rewards function: market benchmarking, pay-equity monitoring, comp-cycle operations and compensation communication, with clear guardrails on data privacy, accuracy and where human judgment stays non-negotiable. Own the TR tool stack and market data sources.
Team
— Lead and grow the Total Rewards team. Raise the bar on rigor, turnaround and documentation so that today's ad-hoc requests become repeatable processes.
The Qualities That Set You Apart
You build and you run
— You're comfortable owning the day-to-day with a lean team while building the structure that lets it scale.
You speak finance
— You build the models yourself, understand burn and dilution, and earn credibility with the CFO and the Board.
You bring executive presence — and pace
— You work with a CEO who moves fast. You make clear recommendations, protect internal equity, and know when to flex.
You operate at every altitude
— Board grants in the morning, a Regional VP's offer in Mexico City in the afternoon. The shift energizes you rather than frustrates you.
You're AI-forward
— You use AI tools in your own work and have a point of view on where they belong in Total Rewards.
Your Background
Experience
— 12+ years in compensation and total rewards, including 4+ years leading the function for a complex, multi-country employer such as a large technology or professional-services firm, with hands-on ownership of compensation cycles, equity programs and benefits. You have run the function with rigor at scale and want to build it at a company of Incode's stage.
Equity expertise
— Deep expertise in options and RSUs, refresh and performance-grant design, 409A and cap-table coordination, board grants and international equity plans. You have led an options-to-RSU transition or a comparable program change.
Global compensation
— Experience across the US and at least one of LATAM or EMEA. Mexico experience and Spanish are strong advantages.
Certification
— CCP, GRP or CEP certification is a plus.
Nice to Have
Prior experience at an identity verification, cybersecurity, KYC/AML, or data company.
Consulting background in total rewards or executive compensation.
Why Incode?
Be part of a mission-driven company at the intersection of AI, identity, and trust.
Work alongside a world-class team backed by General Atlantic and SoftBank.
Shape the future of how people — and companies — verify identity at global scale.
Competitive compensation, equity participation, and benefits.
A culture that rewards ownership, speed, and intellectual curiosity.

Our team is passionate about crafting elegant, high-performance products that delight our customers and set a new bar for engineering excellence. We combine deep expertise in cloud-native development with a relentless focus on quality, speed, and innovation. Every line of code we ship is built to scale, built to last, and built to make a real difference for the businesses that rely on us.
We are a company where technologists lead, ideas win on merit, and shipping great software fast is a core value—not a slogan. If you believe world-class engineering teams are the ones that move quickly
and
build things right, you'll feel at home here.
About the Role
We are hiring a
Director of Software Development
to lead a team of 10 engineers building and scaling our Node.js and Salesforce-integrated products. This is a hands-on leadership role for a
technical architect at heart
who can compress delivery schedules, drive developer velocity, and own the performance of the overall solution. You will be the single point of accountability for turning our roadmap into shipped software—on time, at quality, and at scale.
What You'll Own
Lead, coach, and grow a team of 10 full-stack developers across Node.js services and Salesforce customizations.
Drive measurable improvements in developer velocity using DORA metrics: lead time, deployment frequency, change failure rate, and MTTR.
Compress delivery schedules by breaking epics into small, independently shippable slices and challenging inflated estimates with data.
Architect end-to-end solutions spanning Node.js microservices, APIs, event-driven patterns, and Salesforce (Apex, Lightning, integrations).
Own solution performance: latency, throughput, scalability, and cost—set SLOs and hold the team accountable to them.
Establish estimation, sprint, and release discipline; remove blockers; enforce accountability without burning the team out.
Partner with Product, QA, and Infrastructure to align roadmap, capacity, and dependencies.
Recruit, onboard, and performance-manage engineers; build a culture of ownership and speed.
Requirements
10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading development teams of 8–20 engineers.
Deep, current hands-on experience with
Node.js
(Express/Nest, async patterns, performance tuning, microservices).
Working knowledge of the
Salesforce
platform—Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, REST/Platform Events, and Node.js↔Salesforce integration patterns.
Proven
technical architect
background: designed distributed systems, API contracts, data models, and performance-critical solutions in production.
Track record of
schedule compression
—case studies where you measurably reduced cycle time or pulled in release dates without sacrificing quality.
Strong estimation and planning discipline in Agile/Scrum or Kanban environments.
Experience driving
solution performance
: profiling, caching, query optimization, horizontal scaling, and observability (APM, logs, traces).
Cloud-native delivery experience (AWS preferred) with CI/CD, IaC, and modern DevOps practices.
Excellent stakeholder communication—can negotiate scope vs. time vs. quality with executives.
Success Metrics (First 6–12 Months)
Reduce average lead time for changes and increase deployment frequency to meet DORA "high" or "elite" benchmarks.
Ship the current roadmap on a compressed timeline agreed with leadership.
Improve estimate accuracy (commit vs. deliver) to within an agreed tolerance.
Meet or exceed performance SLOs for the Node.js + Salesforce solution stack.
Retain and level-up the existing team while filling any skill gaps.
Why Flosum
At Flosum, we believe great software is built by great teams—and great teams are built by leaders who care deeply about both the craft and the people. You will have the autonomy, the talent, and the mandate to build something exceptional. If you want to lead a team that is setting the standard for what world-class software looks like, we want to talk to you.

who can compress delivery schedules, drive developer velocity, and own the performance of the overall solution.

• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and deployment automation
• Comfortable with remote development environments - developers work on EC2 dev boxes accessed
via Tailscale VPN, not local machines. SSH-based workflows required
• Experience with real-time features: Socket.io, Redis, BullMQ
• Security hygiene: IP allowlists, secret scanning, and push protection are enforced at the GitHub org
level. Pushing secrets triggers alerts. Security consciousness is non-negotiable.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience building or integrating MCP servers and tools
• Background in LLM integration (API calls, prompt management, token optimization)
• Exposure to serverless architecture and microservices integration on AWS/GCP
• Experience in healthcare/veterinary/scheduling-heavy applications

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an Operations Engineer who is technically curious, detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and proactive to join our Global Technical Operations (GTO) team. The best candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and exceptionally dynamic setting and is excited to monitor and investigate production issues across a global platform, help improve how we detect and respond to incidents, analyze trends and patterns in production data, and contribute to better communication with partners and stakeholders during incidents.
Strong troubleshooting skills, observability platform experience, and scripting ability are essential, along with experience in SRE, DevOps, production operations, or NOC environments supporting high-availability platforms (payments, e-commerce, SaaS, or gaming). The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English — both written and verbal — when writing incident updates, shift handoffs, and status page communications will be key to your success in this role.
If you're passionate about keeping critical systems running and continuously improving operational processes and love being the first to spot issues and the one who drives them to resolution for game developers and players worldwide, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary dashboard monitor during your shift — continuously watch the GTO Operational Dashboard in Datadog, detect anomalies by correlating signals across APM, logs, metrics, synthetic tests, and Real User Monitoring, and determine whether alerts warrant an incident ticket or can be resolved through immediate investigation.
Triage and investigate production incidents — create incident tickets in JIRA Service Management, perform initial technical investigation using Datadog (traces, logs, infrastructure and application metrics), determine blast radius and likely root cause domain, and route to the correct team (Product SRE, Infrastructure SRE, or Engineering) using the smart routing model.
Own lower-severity incidents end-to-end from detection through resolution — diagnose, execute runbook procedures, and resolve without escalation where possible. Escalate promptly when an incident is unresolved within defined thresholds or requires a code-level fix.
Support the TSO Lead during major incidents as the technical right hand in the war room — surface real-time data (error rates, impact scope, deployment history, related alerts), maintain the incident ticket with live timeline entries and linked evidence, and execute mitigation actions as directed.
Draft incident communications under TSO Lead direction, including internal Slack updates, stakeholder notifications, and customer-facing status page updates (status.xsolla.com). Support clear, timely communication throughout the incident lifecycle.
During non-incident periods, analyze incident trends, recurring issues, and production bugs — compile data from Datadog, JIRA, and Slack, identify patterns, and contribute findings to regular reports for product and engineering teams.
Compile incident timelines and draft initial PIR documents for Post-Incident Review preparation. Track PIR action items post-session and flag overdue items to the TSO Lead.
Build and maintain operational automation (alert enrichment scripts, incident templates, Slack workflows, dashboard widgets) and contribute to runbook development — documenting new resolution procedures so they can be repeated by any Operations Engineer on any shift.
Conduct structured shift handoffs covering active incidents, at-risk services, upcoming deployments, and follow-up items. Participate in knowledge transfer sessions with SREs to continuously expand independent resolution capability.
Cover for the TSO Lead during vacations, absences, or emergencies — including severity classification, escalation decisions, stakeholder communications, and basic Incident Commander functions.
Publish health reports of critical apps periodically.
Qualifications and Skills
4+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, production operations, NOC, or technical operations in a high-availability environment. Experience with platforms that handle payments, e-commerce, SaaS, or gaming workloads is preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and investigation skills — ability to take an alert or user-reported symptom and methodically trace it through the stack: application logs, APM traces, infrastructure metrics, database queries, and network paths.
Hands-on experience with Datadog (or equivalent observability platform: Grafana, Splunk, New Relic, Elastic) — navigating APM, building log queries, reading infrastructure dashboards, interpreting SLO burn rates, and configuring monitors and alerts.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Python, Go, or Bash. You will write automation scripts, build operational tooling, and work with APIs.
Clear written and verbal communication skills in English — ability to write incident tickets, investigation notes, Slack updates, shift handoff reports, status page communications, and PIR drafts that are clear, concise, and useful to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Working knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable) — understanding of pods, deployments, services, ingress, node health, and how to investigate Kubernetes-related production issues.
Understanding of SLOs, error budgets, and burn-rate alerting — knowing what a multi-window burn-rate alert means, how error budgets deplete, and how SLO breaches translate into incident severity.
Experience with incident management tooling: JIRA or JIRA Service Management, PagerDuty or OpsGenie, Slack, and Confluence.
Experience with or strong interest in AI/ML-assisted operations: anomaly detection, alert correlation, predictive monitoring, or automated remediation.
Comfort with 24x7 shift-based operations as part of a follow-the-sun model with handoff overlaps. Weekend on-call (rotating) is required.
Nice to Have
Experience in the gaming, payments, or fintech industry — particularly environments where transaction processing, checkout flows, or player-facing services must meet strict uptime requirements.
Familiarity with Datadog Service Catalog, synthetic monitoring, and RUM; exposure to database operations (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka); and experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling (GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Helm).
JIRA Service Management administration experience (workflows, automation rules, SLA timers) or ITIL Foundation certification — practical experience matters more than credentials.
