WHY WORK AT HIGGSFIELD AI?
Higgsfield AI is the fastest-scaling generative AI company in history, hitting $1B in annual revenue run rate, 30M+ users worldwide, 6M+ generations per day, and powering 390 of Fortune 500 brands.
We're building at the absolute frontier of AI-powered video creation and next-generation creative tools. Joining Higgsfield means becoming part of a high-impact team shaping the future of AI-native experiences, at a company that isn't just moving fast, but rewriting what fast looks like.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Higgsfield AI is looking for a hands-on Member of Technical Staff, Infrastructure Security to build, secure, and operate the systems that protect our corporate infrastructure, employee devices, identities, and applications.
As we scale globally, you'll own the technical implementation of security controls across identity and access management, endpoint security, SaaS applications, and corporate networks.
Working closely with IT, Security, and Engineering, you'll identify vulnerabilities, implement practical solutions, and automate security operations. This is a highly technical, hands-on role where you'll personally configure, troubleshoot, and maintain critical security systems rather than primarily managing vendors or directing other teams.
We're looking for a well-rounded security engineer with strong technical judgment who can prioritize risks, move quickly, and build scalable security solutions without creating unnecessary friction.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
IDENTITY & ACCESS SECURITY
- Design, implement, and maintain identity and access controls across Microsoft Entra ID and corporate applications.
- Configure and manage SSO/SAML, SCIM provisioning, MFA, Conditional Access, and role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Secure and automate employee joiner, mover, and leaver (JML) workflows.
- Implement least-privilege access and strengthen authentication and authorization practices.
ENDPOINT & CORPORATE APPLICATION SECURITY
- Own endpoint security controls across corporate devices, including Microsoft Intune/MDM, device compliance, and endpoint detection and response (EDR).
- Secure SaaS applications through access management, permissions, provisioning, and configuration reviews.
- Design and implement Zero Trust access controls based on user identity, device posture, and least-privilege principles.
- Identify and remediate security gaps across corporate systems and applications.
SECURITY AUTOMATION & INCIDENT RESPONSE
- Build scripts, API integrations, and automated workflows to improve security operations and reduce manual processes.
- Develop and maintain security monitoring, alerting, and detection capabilities.
- Investigate compromised accounts, suspicious activity, and endpoint security incidents, driving containment and remediation.
- Troubleshoot security infrastructure issues and continuously improve technical controls.
TECHNICAL OWNERSHIP & SECURITY ENGINEERING
- Identify and prioritize corporate security risks, balancing security requirements with business and operational needs.
- Lead technical security initiatives from design and implementation through ongoing operations.
- Partner with IT and Engineering to establish scalable security standards and practical guardrails.
- Evaluate and implement security tooling while maintaining direct ownership of configuration and operations.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in corporate security engineering, IT security, or enterprise security infrastructure, ideally in a high-growth technology environment.
- Proven experience personally implementing, configuring, troubleshooting, and operating corporate security systems.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID, SSO/SAML, SCIM, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint management and security tools, including Intune/MDM, device compliance, and EDR.
- Experience securing SaaS applications, managing permissions, and implementing Zero Trust access principles.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar languages, including API integrations.
- Familiarity with security monitoring, incident investigation, and remediation of compromised accounts or devices.
- Strong security judgment and the ability to independently identify, prioritize, and resolve high-impact risks.
- Broad technical expertise across corporate security infrastructure rather than specialization in a single area such as IAM, SOC, or endpoint management.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• We offer a competitive and thoughtfully structured compensation package designed to align with impact, experience, and long-term growth.
• Base Salary: The anticipated salary range for this role is $200,000 - $300,000, depending on experience, skills, scope, and location.
• Equity: In addition to cash compensation, employees are eligible to participate in the company’s stock option program and share in Higgsfield’s long-term growth. •
• Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees professionally and personally
• The opportunity to work on ambitious AI products alongside a highly experienced, fast-moving, and international team.
• Significant ownership, direct impact, and opportunities for professional growth as the company scales.
This is a hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Team members are expected to work from our San Francisco office three full days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely and are expected to be available during agreed working hours and to maintain sufficient overlap with the relevant team’s time zone. We value in-person collaboration, active communication, responsiveness, and close partnership across teams.
Higgsfield AI is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.

GiveWell’s mission is to help people in need as much as we can by researching the most cost‑effective ways to save and improve lives, sharing our work openly, and directing donations to the programs we believe will do the most good. Our work, which focuses on global health and well-being, is funded by tens of thousands of donors who rely on our research to inform their giving. We’ve grown from directing $1.5 million in 2010 to directing more than $400 million in 2025. We anticipate our total grantmaking is likely to approach or even exceed $1 billion this year, and we are working toward a future that could be several times that scale. Through years of deliberate groundwork, we’ve been growing our research capacity and scope in order to direct substantially more funding to the most impactful opportunities we can find.
Summary
GiveWell is seeking a Senior Livelihoods Researcher to help us identify and fund the most cost-effective ways to improve living standards among the global poor. You will have an outsized influence on our funding decisions and help us improve lives on a global scale.
Our livelihoods team is organized around thematic verticals, which includes cash transfers, broader social protection programs, education programs, and support for small and medium sized businesses in low-income countries. Across the portfolio, we try to maximize the social return on our investment, which we measure as the increase in relative consumption per $. We value consumption gains more highly among poorer populations, which has meant most of our grantmaking to date has focused on programs which support deprived populations within low-income countries (mostly in sub-Saharan Africa).
As a Senior Livelihoods Researcher, you’ll create and lead ambitious research agendas related to our portfolios of work and answer complex questions that will inform GiveWell’s grantmaking decisions. The researchers on our team combine rigorous evidence review, cost-effectiveness modeling, and thoughtful judgment.
We’re open to a wide variety of professional development pathways depending on your preferences and our needs.
The role
You will be joining a small grantmaking team to contribute to our ambitious research agenda on livelihoods. You’ll sift through the countless questions we could try to answer, and honing in on those that matter most. You’ll also communicate externally about your work and advise other researchers on the team.
You will shape a research agenda that brings rigor and creativity to the thorniest questions the GiveWell livelihoods team faces. Your work will combine empirical evidence review and critical synthesis, cost-effectiveness modeling, discussions with subject matter experts, understanding of the broader context, and your own judgment. In the course of your work, you might approach questions like these:
What effect do rural trailbridges have on the consumption of nearby communities?
What are long-run effects of unconditional cash transfers and ultra poor graduation programs on recipients?
What would happen to prices and markets if we took cash transfer and ultra poor graduation programs to scale?
How should GiveWell value interventions which try to reduce the variance of consumption (as opposed to increasing the average)?
Several countries in sub-Saharan Africa have seen large scale-ups in donor-funded livelihoods programs over the last 30 years but very little movement in poverty headcount rates and median consumption per capita. Why?
Team structure
Our research department has over 60 people, and is currently organized into eight teams:
Five of the teams (Water, Nutrition, Malaria, Vaccines, and Livelihoods) focus on specific areas of grantmaking.
The New Areas team focuses on interventions in domains that are new to GiveWell.
The Cross-Cutting team focuses on methodological issues, research quality, and other big-picture concerns that cut across all of our research work.
The Commons team provides generalized research support to each of the other teams, including landscaping research, vetting, and publishing.
Team values
We think our research team has unique qualities:
We care deeply and centrally about finding and sharing truth.
Truth-seeking is one of our
core values
. We post
our mistakes
and we prize our team members who keep our culture of free-flowing feedback strong.
We are independent.
We focus 100% on finding the most cost-effective opportunities to save and improve lives. Our researchers assist in communicating our research findings to the public and our donors, and on occasion we provide tailored advice to ultra-high-net-worth donors who want to rely on our expertise to direct their giving—but we never ask our researchers to trade off against honesty, or to hide their real beliefs.
We don’t waste time.
Once it’s clear that a particular research question is unlikely to change our bottom-line funding recommendation, we drop it as quickly as possible. We encourage our research staff to constantly re-evaluate their portfolios and only work on the highest-priority questions.
Lean research team = huge personal impact.
In 2026,
our research team of ~80 people is directing close to 1 billion dollars and we expect grantmaking dollars per research team member to increase in the future.
We work well together.
Our research team is lean because we’re able to attract top-tier people, all of whom complete skills-based assessments before joining our staff. We maintain a high-performing, collegial culture and pay our staff accordingly.
About you
We expect the Senior Livelihoods Researcher to have
A quantitatively oriented advanced degree (e.g., in economics, statistics, public policy or related fields)
Substantial professional experience in the livelihoods landscape (broadly defined). This could include experience in academic research and/or in program implementation or funding.
We expect that people with the soft qualities below will be the most successful and happy on our team. This isn’t a full list, but hopefully it conveys the gist of our team’s professional personality:
GiveWell’s mission and methods are personally energizing—you like our approach to research and you find personal meaning in our story of impact.
You’re abnormally curious—you ask lots of questions, and you’re willing to interrogate others’ work. Your curiosity also extends to your own work—you aren’t defensive when your research comes under scrutiny.
You routinely think about and surface the value judgments, background knowledge, and strategic commitments that undergird your work. You understand the potential effects of mistaken mental models, so you strive to improve yours and your team’s.
You dislike it when people express strong confidence in views that don’t seem to rely on commensurate evidence. You carefully and legibly communicate about your confidence levels.
You appreciate the value of an excellent reputation and strong relationships. You can moderate your directness and intensity when you’re communicating with external folks.
You love a
gnarly problem
. You figure out the most important questions to answer, go deep on the details where they matter (and move on where they don’t), and reassess your mental models based on what you’ve learned.
You constantly assess whether you and the team are working on the most important things.
If you’re interested in working on GiveWell’s research team but don’t have livelihoods expertise, consider applying to our generalist
Senior Researcher
role.
The details

We set salaries using a location-based tier system. Our pay for this role:
NYC or the San Francisco Bay Area: $308,000.
All other U.S. locations: $280,000
International: Similar to the “all other U.S. locations” salary, based on historical exchange rates and delivered in locally-denominated currency. We can share a precise figure upon request after the first work trial stage.
Benefits:
Our
benefits
include:
Fully funded health, dental, vision, and life insurance (we cover 100% of premiums within the US for you and any dependents)
Four weeks of paid time off per year
16 weeks of fully paid parental leave
Ergonomic home workstations or coworking space memberships
Automatic contribution equal to 5% of your gross salary into your 403(b) retirement plan (for U.S. based staff)
Countries we can hire from:
GiveWell is a remote-first organization. However, for the time being, we can only hire within a select number of countries (US, UK, Canada, Switzerland, and Germany). To be considered for a role with GiveWell, you need to already be based in one of those countries or be willing to move to one of them. We expect to expand the list of locations where we can hire over the course of 2027, and our job descriptions always reflect the current status — so we'd encourage you to check back and apply again for a role you're eligible for.
Visa sponsorship:
The US is the only country where visa sponsorship is possible for a number of roles, and it's assessed on a case by case basis. For all other countries, you need to already have work authorization, we cannot sponsor visas.
Why we work this way:
Focusing on countries where we already have tested onboarding processes lets us move candidates through hiring faster and with fewer surprises. Every additional country brings its own labor laws, EOR requirements, and new processes to work through, which slows things down for hiring teams and new colleagues alike. Concentrating our footprint keeps the experience consistent and supports GiveWell’s wider absorption capacity goals.
Flexibility:
We support and encourage flexible working, including flexible hours, working remotely, and working from the office when you choose. The majority of our staff, including senior management, work flexibly in one way or another.
Travel:
Research team members are sometimes required to attend international site visits and conferences (on average 1-2 per year), with additional travel for those interested in traveling more. Additionally, we strongly encourage staff members to attend quarterly whole-org and department retreats to bond with other team members and complete in-person work. We'll discuss travel obligations in more detail during late stages of the hiring process, and we’ll accommodate staff who have conflicting family or other obligations.
Start date:
We’d like a candidate to start as soon as possible after receiving an offer, but we’ll offer flexibility for candidates whose personal or professional circumstances require them to moderately delay their start date.
Miscellaneous details:
Please apply to only one Senior Researcher posting.
If you have deep expertise in this area, this pod-specific role is the right fit. If not, there's no need to apply here — our generalist Senior Researcher role is designed for strong researchers who don't have a single specialization, and you don't need to apply to both. Applying to the generalist role won't put you at any disadvantage!
Please note that our hiring process consists of the same work trials for the following roles: Researcher, Senior Researcher, Senior Cross-Cutting Researcher, Senior Livelihoods Researcher, Senior Malaria Researcher, Senior New Areas Researcher, Senior Nutrition Researcher, Senior Vaccines Researcher, and Senior Water Researcher. If, within the last year, you applied and were rejected for one of these roles, you should hold off on applying to the other roles, unless explicitly asked to do so by a member of our team. If you're interested in all of these roles, please just apply once and note in your application that you'd like to be considered for the other roles, too.
After application review, our hiring process consists of a short application exercise and up to 15 hours of compensated work trials. You can see more details about our hiring process on our
FAQs page
!
We devote significant staff capacity to initial application review, and we respond to all applications as quickly as possible.
We have a strong preference for full-time applicants, but we sometimes consider applications for part-time work on a case-by-case basis.
If we settle on an application deadline, we’ll write it in bold here. If you’re on our website job posting and don’t see a deadline, there is no deadline. If you’re reading this on an external job board and don’t see a deadline, you should double-check on our
website
.
You don't need to submit a cover letter—we rely mainly on your resume and answers to the application questions below when we're making early decisions.
About GiveWell
GiveWell is dedicated to finding and evaluating highly cost-effective global health and development opportunities, and we publish all the work, reasoning, and uncertainties behind our funding decisions. Our
giving funds
enable donors to contribute to the most impactful and cost-effective programs our researchers identify.
GiveWell is one of the world’s largest private funders of global development efforts. Trusted annually by tens of thousands of donors, GiveWell searches for highly cost-effective programs that save or improve lives the most. Since 2007, more than 150,000 donors have given over $2.6 billion through GiveWell to the most promising programs its research has identified, which we estimate will save more than
340,000 lives
.
GiveWell is most well-known for recommending a small number of
Top Charities
, which currently support
seasonal malaria chemoprevention
,
insecticide-treated nets
,
vaccine incentivization
, and
vitamin A supplementation
. However, most of our research capacity and grantmaking is devoted to
cost-effective opportunities outside of those programs
.
GiveWell
grants
have:
Helped governments
navigate changes to the funding landscape
and implement high-impact health programs, like
HIV/syphilis screening and treatment
for pregnant people in Zambia and Cameroon.
Sought to scope and scale promising interventions that don’t have clear existing implementers. We are supporting the
Clinton Health Access Initiative’s Incubator
to identify potentially cost-effective interventions and create programs that we would be excited to support in the future. For example, we
funded a program
to prevent tuberculosis among young children in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, India, that we co-designed with CHAI through the Incubator program.
Provided funding to ensure that programs that recently faced foreign aid funding cuts could continue, like
healthcare support and malnutrition treatment
in northern Cameroon.
Funded program delivery alongside strengthened monitoring and evaluation, as in our grants to support
treatment of clubfoot
and to
evaluate the program
.
Tested our
assumptions and refined our understanding
through further research and data collection, including
improved estimates of disease burden
and studies on
the effect of water chlorination on mortality
and
the impact of a tree-planting program on farmers’ income
.
We make our reasoning public and transparent so others can challenge it (sometimes we even
pay people to point out our errors
). We go to unusual lengths to check our assumptions and assess our impact, including
funding research
to address our uncertainties and gathering
independent monitoring and evaluation data
about the programs we support. We
change
our minds when the evidence demands it. For more about GiveWell, listen to Ezra Klein’s
recent interview
with GiveWell’s co-founder and CEO Elie Hassenfeld.

We don’t want to miss candidates that could do great things at GiveWell. Practically, that means a GiveWell staff member reviews every application carefully, considering the whole picture of your background and potential. If you’re on the fence about applying because you meet some but not 100% of our preferred qualifications (some studies suggest this hesitation is especially common for women and people of color), we encourage you to apply anyway.
GiveWell is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer by choice. At minimum, this means that we comply with all federal, state, and local EEO and employment laws. Beyond the requirements of those laws, we value our team’s diversity in all respects, and we desire to maintain a work environment free of harassment or discrimination—we want our team members to thrive at GiveWell. ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ramp is building something ambitious, and we believe our most important advantage is our people. This role sits at the foundation of that belief. You'll help shape how Ramp identifies, evaluates, and hires world-class engineering talent, with a particular focus on the engineers at the center of what we're building next.
This is a craft role. You'll own pipelines end-to-end, partner directly with our Engineering leadership, and be accountable for the quality of the people we bring through the door. We're looking for a Technical Recruiter who treats hiring as a discipline. Someone who cares as much about candidate experience and calibration as they do about closing.
You won't just be working off a req list. We're looking for someone who can take ambiguous or high-level direction from engineering leadership and turn it into a sharp, targeted search, knowing exactly who they want before the role even opens. You'll be expected to have strong opinions on talent, defend them with evidence, and push back on stakeholders when the bar is at risk.
Recruiting at Ramp is owned end-to-end, not handed off. This role requires someone who stays close to the candidate, close to the hiring manager, and close to the work, so context never gets lost between hand-offs.
What You’ll Do
- Partner closely with our Engineering leadership and hiring managers to deeply understand the requirements of each role and how it fits into the organization
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for multiple, complex searches across our Engineering organization, owning every stage from first touch to signed offer
- Build deeply targeted sourcing strategies. Know the companies, the teams, and the individual engineers worth pursuing before opening a search
- Partner with our sourcing team to iterate on creative strategies for talent pipelines and competitor mapping
- Run candidate process with urgency and care. Same-day follow-up, next steps booked before you hang up, no candidate left chasing us
- Manage pipeline activity, maintain data integrity, and proactively share data-centric updates with internal stakeholders. Spot funnel issues early and bring evidence to calibration conversations, not just gut
- Drive offer processes for candidates, including extending offers, negotiations, closing candidates, and generating offer letters
- Act as a strategic advisor, not a req-filler. Anticipate hiring needs, shape strategy alongside engineering stakeholders, and translate abstract asks into concrete target lists, comp frameworks, and close plans
- Lead initiatives that raise the bar on how technical recruiting operates at Ramp, including interview loops, interviewer training, scorecards, and other cross-functional efforts that increase hiring quality and speed
- Build excellent relationships across the recruiting team and your engineering client groups
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting/sourcing experience in a similar role at a high-growth technology company or startup
- Demonstrated track record hiring for deeply technical engineering roles. You can hold a credible conversation with a hiring manager about the work, not just the title
- You build and use AI across every stage of the recruiting process, from how you find candidates to how you screen, calibrate, and close them. You're a sourcer at heart, don't wait for inbound, and treat your tooling as part of the craft
- Excellent written and verbal storytelling communication skills
- Ability to influence at various levels in an organization, anchoring on data-driven decision-making
- Operationally strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-moving environment
- Genuine care for the candidate experience. You believe how someone is treated through the process is as much a reflection of Ramp as the offer itself
BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO ALL FULL-TIME RAMP EMPLOYEES (GLOBAL)
- Flexible PTO
- Centralized home-office equipment ordering
- Health and wellness stipend
- Budget for intra-office travel
- Weekly coffee stipend
UNITED STATES
- 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you, with partial coverage for dependents

- Fertility HRA (up to $10,000 per year)
- Parental leave: up to 16 weeks (birthing + bonding) or 8 weeks (bonding only) at 100% pay

- In-office perks: lunch, snacks, drinks, and more
- Relocation expense coverage to NYC or SF (if needed)

- Group medical, dental, and vision coverage through Sun Life

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's Infrastructure organization is foundational to our mission of developing AI systems that are reliable, interpretable, and steerable. The systems we build determine how quickly we can train new models, how reliably we can run safety experiments, and how effectively we can scale Claude to millions of users — demonstrating that safe, reliable infrastructure and frontier capabilities can go hand in hand.
Cluster Infra owns the full lifecycle of compute clusters at Anthropic. We build agent-driven automation for cluster provisioning and lifecycle management across all major cloud providers and our own datacenters. Our systems stand up clusters that are interconnected with high bandwidth, secure-by-default, and able to automatically drain and recover in response to failure. As a Staff engineer on this team, you'll set the technical direction for how Anthropic brings compute online - at a moment when the scale of that compute is growing faster than at almost any company in the world.
Key responsibilities
Own the technical strategy and roadmap for agent-driven cluster lifecycle management - provisioning, updates and decommissioning
Partner across teams to ensure new compute capacity is ingested on time
Align with partner teams on physical build-out and leverage cloud solutions to deliver high-bandwidth inter-cluster connectivity
Collaborate with security owners to ensure clusters are provisioned secure-by-default
Define and drive strategy on cluster scalability, homogeneity and fault tolerance
Work closely with cloud providers and internal research, inference and product teams to shape long-term compute, data, and infrastructure strategy
Establish and evolve operational-excellence practices: incident response, postmortem culture and on-call health
Support the growth of engineers around you through technical mentorship and coaching
Minimum qualifications
Deep expertise in distributed systems, reliability, and cloud platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, IaC, AWS/GCP/Azure)
Strong proficiency in at least one systems language (e.g., Rust, Go, or Python), IaC proficiency with Terraform.
Track record of leading complex, multi-quarter technical initiatives spanning multiple teams or systems
Ability to build alignment across senior stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels
Preferred qualifications
10+ years of software engineering experience, including time as a technical lead setting direction for a team
Experience operating large-scale compute infrastructure at hyperscale (100+ clusters, 10K+ nodes)
Depth in one or more of: Kubernetes internals, cluster provisioning and management systems, cluster orchestration systems (Mesos, Borg-like)
Experience with cloud networking: VPC design and peering, Shared VPC/Transit Gateway, Cloud Interconnect/Direct Connect, Cloud NAT, cross-cloud private connectivity, BGP and route control, edge load balancing and DDoS mitigation (Cloud Armor / AWS Shield)
Experience with cluster and host networking: CNI (Cilium), eBPF, NetworkPolicy, multi-NIC, sFlow, service mesh (Istio/Envoy/Linkerd, mTLS)
Experience with cluster security: pod security standards and admission control, RBAC and least-privilege IAM, node and container hardening, supply-chain/image provenance
Deep experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Atlantis), workflow orchestration (Temporal, Argo Workflows)
Skill in quickly understanding systems design tradeoffs and keeping track of rapidly evolving software systems
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
£325,000
—
£485,000 GBP
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit
anthropic.com/careers
directly for confirmed position openings.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

For Hybrid Roles: If this role is Hybrid, there will be an expectation to reside within commutable distance to the office/location specified in the job listing. This will include, but not limited to, weekly/bi-weekly/monthly events in the office with your specific team. This is a requirement for this role.
Job Summary:
The Platform Engineering team is a close-knit group of highly senior engineers focused on building software products for developers — from internal APIs and services to developer tooling, CI/CD frameworks, and Kubernetes-based abstractions. We treat our platform as a product — prioritizing usability, adoption, and developer experience as first-class concerns. You will spend a significant portion of your time writing code — building platform services, APIs, and developer tooling used across engineering teams. This is a rare opportunity to work alongside highly experienced engineers on meaningful software problems where your ideas and expertise truly matter. The team operates in Hybrid, focusing office time for meaningful collaboration.
Platform Engineering exists to empower product engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate healthcare software faster, more reliably, and more securely. We solve complex cross-functional problems through well-designed software systems — building APIs, services, and developer-facing applications that reduce cognitive load so development teams can focus on delivering value to clinicians and patients. We may not own every part of the stack, but we engineer the APIs, abstractions, and interfaces that piece it together meaningfully — and we own the design, implementation, testing, and lifecycle of what we build through sound software engineering practices and SRE principles
Key Responsibilities
1 · Design, build, and maintain platform services, APIs, SDKs, and internal tools used across engineering teams
2 · Own platform services end-to-end — from design and implementation through production operation and continuous improvement, writing high-quality, testable code throughout
3 · Design and improve CI/CD workflows and developer automation with a focus on usability and efficiency
4 · Apply distributed systems and backend engineering principles to design scalable, resilient services and APIs
5 · Production ownership of the services and tools you build — including observability, debugging, and incident response
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum
Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js building production-grade APIs, services, developer tools, and developer-facing UIs (React or similar), with strong automated testing practices (unit, integration, E2E)
Strong software engineering fundamentals — distributed systems, API design, and production backend services, with a proven ability to make pragmatic trade-offs across scalability, reliability, and developer experience
Working proficiency with observability (metrics, logging, distributed tracing, SLI/SLO frameworks) and production ownership of services you build — including incident response and post-mortems
Strong proficiency with Kubernetes — building software abstractions and APIs, extending capabilities through custom controllers and operators
Strong proficiency designing and building CI/CD pipelines optimized for security, compliance, and developer experience
Working proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi), GitOps practices, and cloud-native environments
Strong communication, influence, and documentation skills — able to drive adoption of platform patterns, translate technical complexity for diverse audiences, and produce ADRs, runbooks, and developer- facing documentation
Preferred:
Experience building internal developer platforms or platform-as-a-product initiatives, including developer portals and self-service tooling
Experience with AI/ML integration: LLM APIs, intelligent automation, AI-assisted developer tooling, and agentic patterns
Working proficiency with cloud security practices (IAM, secret handling, encryption), compliance tooling (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST), or cloud cost optimization (FinOps)
