ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
ABOUT THE PUBLIC SECTOR TEAM
- Sierra recently received FedRAMP High https://sierra.ai/blog/certified-fedramp-high certification, enabling us to bring our industry-leading technology to partners in the US public sector. We’re now building our founding public sector team to redefine the relationship between the government and its citizenry.
- Today, our agents already enable citizens to access social services, report fraud, and understand complex government systems. Simultaneously, they empower government officials to better hear the concerns and inquiries of their constituencies.
- We are explicitly nonpartisan and committed to empowering public servants to leverage AI to advance their important missions.
- In our journey, we are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and Family. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build enterprise-grade AI agents for government institutions: As an Agent Product Manager at Sierra, you will partner directly with our engineers and public sector customers to build and ship AI agents that serve people across high-stakes, mission-critical interactions. These agents will help constituents navigate complex programs, complete important tasks, and get timely, trustworthy support while meeting the security, accessibility, and reliability standards government work demands.
- Discover where agents can make the greatest impact: Ground-up discovery is a critical part of the role. Work closely with federal and state institutions to understand their missions, operating constraints, constituent needs, and service-delivery workflows. Identify and prioritize new opportunities for AI agents to improve access, responsiveness, and outcomes.
- Engage with customers at every level: Become a trusted advisor to public sector leaders and a hands-on partner to their working teams. Discover and assess requirements, prepare and present demonstrations, navigate technical and operational challenges with customer counterparts, and continuously improve agents to fit each institution’s policies and workflows.
- Own outcomes from concept through production: Translate mission goals into a clear product strategy, roadmap, and measurable definition of success. Coordinate across customer stakeholders, engineering, design, research, security, and operations to take agents from initial concept through launch and ongoing iteration.
- Shape the platform and public sector roadmap: Your direct work with government institutions will guide the evolution of Sierra’s core platform. Surface unmet needs, prototype new tools and features, and collaborate with research, product, and platform teams to shape the future of AI agent development for the public sector.
- Help build Sierra’s public sector business: Partner closely with public sector leadership on market strategy, product investments, and repeatable approaches that allow the team to scale quickly while preserving the trust and craftsmanship our customers expect.
EXAMPLE PROJECTS
These are examples of projects our healthcare team has worked on:
- Build agents that help people understand eligibility, apply for benefits, check case status, and navigate complex social-service programs.
- Develop secure reporting experiences that make it easier to report fraud, waste, abuse, or other concerns and route each submission appropriately.
- Create voice and chat agents that answer questions about licenses, permits, taxes, public records, and other high-volume government services across languages and channels.
- Design proactive and long-horizon agents that keep constituents informed, collect missing information, and guide them through multi-step government processes over time.
- Turn patterns in constituent conversations into actionable insights that help public officials understand emerging needs and improve service delivery.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 5-7+ years of experience developing highly technical products.
- Experience in Product Management or a similar product development role at or above the level of Senior Product Manager.
- A passion for public sector work and a belief in the potential of our institutions to transform outcomes for the people they serve.
- Comfort working directly with customers to understand their needs, navigate complex organizations, and solve real-world problems. A core part of the role is coordinating directly with public servants and technical stakeholders to understand their workflows.
- Experience crafting and tailoring messages for different audiences, including senior executives and public sector leaders.
- Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to both non-technical and technically proficient audiences, including recent developments in AI.
- Strong product judgment and a track record of driving ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives from discovery through launch and measurable impact.
- A degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
EVEN BETTER...
- Experience building or deploying AI/LLM products, especially conversational or long-horizon agents, and familiarity with evaluation, retrieval, prompt engineering, or agent tooling.
- Experience with government technology or working with public sector institutions, including an understanding of procurement, regulation, security, accessibility, and patterns of partnership.
- A demonstrated track record of operating in ambiguity, for example as part of a founding team, a new initiative within a large organization, or a forward-deployed product or engineering team.
- Some coding experience with React, TypeScript, and Go, or experience prototyping technical products directly with engineers.
- An MBA or equivalent professional experience at the intersection of technology, operations, and strategy.
- Past roles that involved working directly with end customers to influence software development.
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.

Who We Are
We come for the impact, and stay for the culture! We’re a talented, opinionated, passionate, fiercely inclusive, and responsible group of bees. We have conviction and we strive to live
our values
every day. We want our people to do what they truly love amongst a team of highly talented (but humble) peers.
How We Work
We are a fully distributed company, which means we believe it is not where you sit, but how you deliver that matters most. We invest in our people and care about how you orient to our culture and processes. At the same time we imbue a lot of trust, autonomy, and accountability from Day 1. #LI-Remote
Little more about the team:
The Storage Team at Honeycomb is the backbone of our platform, responsible for the performance, reliability, and scalability of storing and querying billions of events. We design and own the architecture that powers correct and dependable query results — enabling every product experience from Metrics to Triggers and SLOs. As a senior engineer on Storage, you’ll work on high-impact systems where our customers may never see your code directly, but they’ll rely on it every time they use Honeycomb.
What you’ll do in the role:
Build and deliver high-quality solutions. You will design and implement solutions that power Honeycomb’s query and data storage infrastructure. Whether it’s improving query performance, evolving the Retriever service, or making our storage layer more reliable, you’re eager to jump in and add value where the team needs it most.
Scope and deliver projects independently. You’re comfortable breaking down complex storage and querying problems into achievable steps, surfacing trade-offs, and pulling in teammates when needed. You take ownership end-to-end — from design to production support — reducing toil and ensuring our systems deliver measurable customer and business impact.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners. You’ll work closely with Product Management and other engineering teams to connect technical solutions to product needs, from problem discovery through solution design and delivery. Much of our work is behind the scenes, but it enables every Honeycomb product experience, from Metrics to Triggers and SLOs.
Support our services in production. We believe in owning the software we build. Every engineer on Storage participates in on-call rotations, helps define team KPIs and SLOs, and proactively reduces toil by addressing reliability challenges before they reach customers.
Learn new ways to solve complex problems. As Honeycomb grows, so do the challenges of scaling our systems. You will explore new technologies, data storage techniques, and query optimization strategies to keep performance and reliability strong at scale.
Thrive on collaboration. You enjoy pairing, reviewing code, and offering constructive feedback. You model strong ownership and help your teammates grow, while keeping conversations forward-looking and focused on business value.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Technical leadership in storage and querying. You’ve led the design of patterns and guidelines that improve performance and reliability, and you bring expertise in writing Go along with experience working on high-throughput or complex systems. Prior experience with database engineering is a plus, as is comfort with Kubernetes.
Curiosity and experimentation. You learn by digging in — individually, in pairs, or as a team. You ask questions to better understand complex systems, explore trade-offs, and believe in learning from incidents as a way to improve both technology and practices.
Focus on business outcomes. You tie technical decisions to customer and company impact, weighing whether work is necessary now or later, and considering how projects affect the broader business.
Strength in mentorship and teamwork. You guide engineers through code reviews and help spread knowledge across a team with diverse skillsets so that ownership of critical paths is shared, not siloed.
Resilience in collaboration. You thrive in a senior-heavy team, giving and receiving feedback with grace, and contributing to a culture where tough problems and hard conversations lead to better outcomes.
Execution with impact. You can scope and deliver complex, multi-team projects while balancing production realities, proactively reducing toil, and ensuring systems deliver measurable customer value.
Deep debugging expertise. You’re trusted to diagnose and resolve the toughest production issues across the stack, restoring reliability where others may be stuck.
Influence beyond your team. You multiply impact by sharing knowledge, guiding adoption of new technologies, and driving foundational work that benefits Honeycomb engineering as a whole.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
Data Center Transaction Principal, Europe
About the role
As a Transaction Principal for Europe at Anthropic, you'll drive the commercial sourcing and transaction execution process for our European data center capacity deals. You'll lead RFP processes, negotiate term sheets, and serve as the central leader ensuring seamless stakeholder alignment from initial sourcing through lease execution.
This role is critical to securing the infrastructure that powers Anthropic's frontier AI systems across Europe — you'll bridge commercial negotiations with complex internal coordination across legal, finance, engineering, and network teams, and partner closely with our Compute Markets team who own the Europe market strategy and government relationships. This is not an established leasing org; you'll be building process alongside execution, and doing so across multiple countries with distinct regulatory, power, and development dynamics.
Responsibilities
Lead the RFP and commercial sourcing process for European data center deals, managing developer outreach, proposal evaluation, and competitive selection across multiple markets
Negotiate term sheets and manage the LOI process, structuring commercial terms that meet Anthropic's technical and business requirements while maintaining strong developer partnerships
Create the bridge from LOI to executed transaction, ensuring all commercial, technical, and legal requirements are satisfied for deal closure
Serve as project manager for cross-functional stakeholder engagement — coordinating due diligence teams, internal and external legal counsel, network organization, platform engineers, and finance to ensure alignment prior to lease execution
Act as the single point of contact for auxiliary organizations including networks, deployments, and government relations, providing regular updates on transaction progress and leasing status
Develop and maintain transaction timelines, tracking critical-path items and proactively identifying risks that could impact deal closure
Ensure all stakeholder requirements are captured and addressed in commercial agreements, translating technical and operational needs into contractual terms
Manage complex digital infrastructure development activities to a construction-ready state, through a developer or directly
Marry the right projects, capital stacks, and developers at the right stages
Navigate country-specific permitting, grid connection, and regulatory requirements that vary significantly across European markets
Document and refine transaction processes and playbooks to enable scalable deal execution as Anthropic expands its infrastructure footprint across the region
Partner with the Compute Markets Manager to prioritize markets, sites, and counterparties, and feed deal learnings back into Europe market strategy
You may be a good fit if you
Have 10+ years of experience in transaction management, commercial real estate, data center leasing, or infrastructure procurement
Possess a proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder transactions from sourcing through execution
Have strong negotiation skills with experience structuring term sheets, LOIs, and commercial agreements
Excel at project management and can coordinate across legal, technical, finance, and operational teams simultaneously
Have experience with RFP processes and competitive sourcing for large-scale infrastructure or real estate transactions
Have experience working in or across European markets, with knowledge of the regional data center and development landscape — including established FLAP-D hubs and emerging markets like the Nordics and Southern Europe
Are comfortable operating across multiple countries with different legal frameworks, languages, and business cultures
Are highly organized with strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on strategic deal objectives
Can operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where processes are being built alongside execution
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and can coordinate effectively across time zones with US-based HQ teams and distributed European partners
It's a bonus if you
Have experience with data center or hyperscale infrastructure transactions specifically
Come from the development side of the industry rather than traditional brokerage/leasing — you understand how DC development works and how value is created (yield-on-cost, cap rates, development fees)
Understand technical requirements for AI/ML workloads including power density, cooling, and network connectivity
Have worked with legal teams on complex lease negotiations or infrastructure agreements across multiple European jurisdictions
Understand utility coordination, power procurement, or energy considerations in data center transactions, particularly in the European context (fragmented national power markets, grid connection queues, renewable PPAs, sustainability and efficiency regulations)
Have familiarity with data sovereignty and regulatory considerations that influence European site selection
Have relationships within the European data center developer, operator, and broker ecosystem
Have a background in corporate development, strategic partnerships, or infrastructure investment
Have experience in high-growth technology companies managing infrastructure expansion

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

Serve as project manager for cross-functional stakeholder engagement, coordinating due diligence teams, internal and external legal counsel, network organization, platform engineers, and finance organization to ensure alignment prior to lease execution
Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for auxiliary organizations including networks, deployments, and government relations, providing regular updates on transaction progress and leasing process status
Develop and maintain transaction timelines, tracking critical path items and proactively identifying risks that could impact deal closure
Document and refine transaction processes and playbooks to enable scalable deal execution as Anthropic expands its infrastructure footprint
Ensure all stakeholder requirements are captured and addressed in commercial agreements, translating technical and operational needs into contractual terms
You may be a good fit if you
Have 10+ years of experience in transaction management, commercial real estate, data center leasing, or infrastructure procurement

It's a bonus if you

Understand technical requirements for AI/ML workloads including power density, cooling, and network connectivity
Have worked with legal teams on complex lease negotiations or infrastructure agreements
Possess familiarity with data center developer ecosystems and market dynamics
Have experience in high-growth technology companies managing infrastructure expansion
Understand utility coordination, power procurement, or energy considerations in data center transactions

About Anthropic

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Training and serving frontier AI models requires data center capacity at a scale and pace that conventional delivery models were not built for. Anthropic's Data Center Capacity Delivery team embeds with developers, general contractors, and third-party partners to take leased and partnered sites from deal close through floor access and operational handover as fast as they can safely be built.
As the Reporting and Controls Lead, you'll own the single view of where every project in the delivery portfolio stands: consolidated milestone tracking from early floor access through floor access and ready-for-service, the integrity of the data behind it, and the capacity projections leadership plans against. You'll build and run the reporting the delivery team and executives rely on, and chase down the schedule and data discrepancies it surfaces.
This is a highly cross-functional role: you'll work with Senior Delivery Managers and Regional Managers in the field, our third-party project-management partners, and the planning, transaction, design, and deployment teams whose inputs and outputs the portfolio schedule depends on.
MOC (Mission + Outcomes + Competencies)
Mission
Give the delivery team and leadership one trustworthy view of where every project stands.
Outcomes
Consolidated milestone tracking (early floor access, floor access, RFS) current across all projects.
Schedule and status data reconciled at the source.
Portfolio capacity projections and variance to plan maintained.
Delivery-review and executive reporting built; data-quality checks automated where possible.
Competencies
Project controls / scheduling on large capital programs.
Portfolio-level, not single-job, reporting.
Scheduling, spreadsheet, and BI tooling fluency.
Identifying, qualifying, and packaging data driven insights that define project and portfolio health.
Responsibilities
Own consolidated milestone tracking across all active and upcoming delivery projects — early floor access, floor access, ready for service — and keep it current
Validate schedule and status data from developers, GCs, and third-party partners; challenge what doesn't reconcile and fix it at the source
Maintain portfolio capacity projections and the variance to plan behind them
Build and maintain reporting for delivery reviews and executive updates
Define the data standards and integrated-schedule and tooling conventions projects report against, with the Program Management Lead
Automate reporting and data-quality checks where possible, including with AI-assisted tools
You may be a good fit if you
Have [7+] years in project controls, scheduling, or program reporting on large capital construction programs — data center, energy, or industrial
Have run consolidated reporting across a multi-project portfolio, not a single job
Are fluent in scheduling, spreadsheet, and BI tooling [e.g. Primavera P6, Excel, Power BI — confirm]
Communicate clearly, in writing and in charts, to technical and executive audiences
Are comfortable building the process while running it
Strong candidates may also have
Hyperscaler, colo, or developer-side program-controls experience
Owner's-side cost controls or earned-value reporting experience
Built planning or reporting tools leveraging AI-assisted development

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Notion is reimagining how customers adopt, expand, and realize value from software in an AI-native world. As a first-line leader directly managing a team of Outcomes Architects, you’ll own your team’s execution across workflow adoption, value realization, renewal readiness, expansion qualification, and at-risk account recovery — accountable for both the customer outcomes and the quality of execution that produces them.
This isn’t a traditional Customer Success management role. The best OA Managers are coaches first: they know what great workflow discovery looks like, can review a mutual success plan and identify where value realization is breaking down, can inspect an executive business review and sharpen the value narrative, and can help an OA turn account activity into measurable customer and commercial outcomes.
You’ll run an inspection cadence and cultivate a coaching culture that make consistent execution possible across the team. You’ll partner closely with Solutions Consultant leaders, Sales, Services, Support, Product, and RevOps to ensure customers move from workflow design to adoption, value realization, expansion, and renewal readiness.
If you’re a builder who loves developing people as much as driving customer impact — and you want to lead a team in a post-sales motion that’s being redefined for the AI era — this is the role.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE
- Own the Net Revenue Growth performance of your team’s book of business, accountable for both headline outcomes and the quality of execution that drives workflow adoption, value realization, renewal readiness, and expansion.
- Coach OAs on the OA builder motion: AI Transformation Plans, build-beside workshops, value reviews, use-case consultations, and renewal processes.
- Build and run the operating cadence for the team: metrics reviews, account support sessions, adoption and renewal-risk reviews, call coaching against the OA quality rubric, and forecast calls with senior leadership.
- Hire, onboard, and certify new OAs to the GTM builder motion, driving readiness from ramp through consistent execution and managing performance with clarity when expectations are not met.
- Partner closely with Solutions Consultant managers and leaders on strategy for expansion and renewal across shared accounts, ensuring clear ownership for flat and at-risk renewals.
- Partner with Services leadership to identify complex implementation needs early, create clear handoffs, and ensure Services delivery accelerates workflow adoption and measurable value.
- Set the standard for product, AI, and workflow fluency across the team so OAs can help customers navigate new ways of working and build durable systems in Notion.
- Represent your team or region in leadership forums with clear signal on what's working, what needs investment, and where execution is breaking down
- Uphold excellence by coaching to the global OA methodology, quality rubric, and activity KPIs.
SKILLS YOU’LL NEED TO BRING
- Frontline management experience leading customer-facing GTM teams in B2B software, ideally across Customer Success, Solutions Consulting, Technical Account Management, Professional Services, Account Management, or post-sales strategy.
- Direct experience coaching teams through customer discovery, workflow design, adoption planning, value realization, renewals, expansion, or technical/workflow implementation.
- Strong coaching orientation: you can review a customer call, account plan, mutual success plan, or executive value narrative and identify specifically what needs to change — not just whether the outcome was good, but why and how to improve it.
- Commercial instincts at the team level: able to read account health, renewal risk, adoption depth, expansion potential, and customer sentiment, then drive urgency without micromanaging every account.
- Deep customer-facing discovery instincts, with the ability to understand business problems, map workflows, and translate goals into practical adoption and implementation plans.
- Experience operating in a shared account ownership model with Sales, Solutions, Services, Support, or Implementation teams.
- Operational rigor: you know how to build inspection cadences, coaching rituals, performance standards, and accountability systems that improve execution across a team.
- Ability to develop talent from onboarding through consistent performance, including hiring to profile, setting clear expectations, coaching skill gaps, and managing performance with clarity.
- Executive communication skills: able to synthesize account patterns, customer risks, team performance, and cross-functional asks into clear signal for leadership.
- Technical fluency and presence as a trusted advisor. You do not need to build every workflow yourself, but you should be able to understand Notion systems, coach workflow design, and help your team troubleshoot adoption blockers.
- You operate with agency, urgency, and customer empathy, bringing structure to ambiguous problems and helping teams move from ideas to working systems.
- You don’t need to be an AI expert, but you’re curious, hands-on, and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter, coach better, and help customers deliver better outcomes.
- Fluent in English and French
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience managing in a consumption, usage-based, or product-led business where adoption signals matter as much as renewal or expansion outcomes.
- Track record building high-performing frontline teams from an early stage: hiring to profile, structured onboarding, certification, coaching, and performance management.
- Experience leading teams through GTM motion changes, coverage-model shifts, or evolving commercial ownership.
- Experience working with flat, at-risk, or complex renewal accounts and helping teams return customers to a clear value path.
- Experience partnering closely with Solutions Consulting, Sales, Services, or Implementation teams in a shared customer lifecycle model.
- Familiarity with AI transformation, workflow automation, agents, or collaboration/work management software.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY & ACCOMMODATIONS
We hire talented people from a wide range of backgrounds. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every bullet, we still encourage you to apply. Notion is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected characteristic. Consistent with applicable law, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. Notion provides reasonable accommodations during the application process; if you need one, please let your recruiter know.
Notion is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate in hiring or any employment decision based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or other applicable legally protected characteristic. Notion considers qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with applicable federal, state and local law. Notion is also committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures. If you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, please let your recruiter know.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Developer Platform https://www.notion.com/product/dev engineer, you will directly contribute to the foundational pieces that make Notion extensible and connected. You will build tools, APIs, and platform experiences that help customers connect Notion to the world — bringing their apps, data, and workflows into one workspace. Your work will make it easier for developers, admins, and builders to create reliable integrations and automations on top of Notion.
You will be a key player in building the robust technical foundation that allows Notion to achieve the connected workspace vision. Your work will include both internal platform contributions that accelerate other Notion engineering teams and end-user-facing functionality that enables toolmaking ubiquity. You will be presented with challenging technical problems, as Notion’s product needs are complex. You’ll play a key role in identifying and executing against technical investments that ensure the long-term quality, reliability, and performance of Notion’s platform as we scale.
This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- You’ll work with a team of engineers and cross-functional partners across product, design, data science, and user research to define a product strategy and drive execution through conception, research, implementation, and maintenance.
- You’ll evolve Developer Platform capabilities across APIs, MCP tools, and integration infrastructure that help customers automate workflows, customize Notion, and connect Notion to the tools and data they use every day.
- You’ll contribute to the overall performance, reliability, and robustness of the Notion product, ensuring it scales elegantly across many dimensions.
- You’ll partner with engineering leaders to identify and execute against high-leverage technical investments that ensure the long-term flexibility and sustainability of our core systems.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- 10+ years of experience shipping production software, with a strong track record of owning features end-to-end
- Fluency with TypeScript across both backend and frontend
- Strong product instincts: you can take a vague problem, propose a solid technical approach, and know when to cut scope
- You don’t need to be an AI expert, but you’re curious and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience building developer tools like APIs and SDKs
- Experience driving teams toward shared goals and balancing business priorities with individuals’ strengths, areas of interest, and career development goals
- Familiarity with AI/agent tooling, evals, or LLM-driven product experiences
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range for this role is $272,000 – $304,000 per year.

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on.
dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights.
Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions. As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
As a Staff Full-Stack Engineer on the Cloud Clients team, you’ll own end-to-end delivery across the surfaces where dbt developers do their work:
dbt Studio in the browser, the dbt VS Code extension, and the CLI workspace runtime that powers both
.
You’ll help build dbt’s
AI-native developer experience
, including agent workflows, diff review, streaming tool calls, charts and rich outputs for conversational analytics, and MCP apps that bring dbt projects directly into tools like Claude and Codex. This is a true full-stack role: you’ll work across
Python, TypeScript, React, and Kubernetes
, with the expectation that you can take a feature from schema and service design through to the final pixel without a handoff
What you’ll do
Own parts of the CLI workspace runtime that backs both surfaces, including migrating users off our legacy IDE and enabling asynchronous, background agent runs.
Design and build agent-facing experiences: streaming responses, transparent tool calls, diff review, and charting / rich output for conversational analytics.
Extend dbt into other developer surfaces — MCP integrations that make dbt projects usable directly from AI clients like Claude and Codex.
Lead well-scoped projects end to end: write the plan, partner with design and product, ship in two-week increments, and measure whether it worked.
Share oncall and customer support for your surfaces, and mentor engineers earlier in their careers.
Skills we are looking for
8+ years building production software, including senior-level ownership of projects that ran for months and involved several people.
Deep Python experience plus exposure to TypeScript and React experience — you move across the stack without waiting for a handoff.
Built and maintained something other developers depend on: an IDE, an editor extension, a CLI, an SDK, an LSP server, or a data tool.
Comfort with the operational side of shipping — APIs, Kubernetes, Postgres, observability — and with being on the hook when something breaks.
Strong written communication: you can make a technical argument in a document and bring people along.
Worked asynchronously as part of a fully-remote, distributed team
Bonus points for
Shipped LLM- or agent-powered features to production, with real opinions on evaluation, latency, cost, and where models fall down.
Worked with the Language Server Protocol, Monaco, CodeMirror, or other code-editor internals.
Hands-on dbt, SQL, or data warehouse experience (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift).
Migrated users off a legacy product surface and decommissioned it without breaking them.
Go, Rust, or systems-level performance experience.
