About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
Anthropic's API is the foundation that customers, developers, and our own products build on, and it is scaling fast. We're hiring a Technical Program Manager to drive the scaling and core efficiency programs for the API stack, working at the intersection of the API and the infrastructure it runs on (compute, databases, networking, and inference).
Today this work spans many teams and many simultaneous programs, with no single person focused on cohesion across them. You'll be the center: the person who connects isolated workstreams into one coherent roadmap, makes cross-org dependencies visible before they become blockers, and creates clarity on who owns which decisions. Success looks like an API stack that scales efficiently and predictably, with programs that land because someone is accountable for the whole picture.
Responsibilities
Drive scaling and core efficiency programs for the API stack from architectural direction through sequenced, deliverable execution
Run multiple large programs simultaneously across infrastructure, networking, and the API layer
Act as the connective tissue between API, infrastructure, database, networking, and inference teams, owning cross-org dependencies end to end
Establish decision-making clarity: who owns what, where trade-offs get made, and how isolated streams roll up into one program view
Surface risks, progress, and trade-offs to engineering leadership with the right altitude and cadence
You may be a good fit if you
Have 7+ years of technical program management experience, with a track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional programs
Have experience with API platforms, distributed systems, and core infrastructure programs and can engage meaningfully with the engineers who design and operate them
Have driven scaling, performance, or efficiency programs for high-volume production systems, including the tradeoffs across performance, reliability, and cost
Have coordinated programs spanning many partner organizations, managing cross-team dependencies, commitments, and escalations at the working level
Are highly organized and can manage multiple parallel workstreams effectively across distributed teams
Thrive in unstructured environments with a knack for bringing order to chaos and creating clarity in ambiguous situations, including where decision ownership is unclear
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority
Are passionate about Anthropic's mission and interested in the challenges of operating AI infrastructure safely and reliably
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$290,000
—
$435,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit
anthropic.com/careers
directly for confirmed position openings.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

- Location: Espoo, Finland
- Department: Release Engineering
- Reports to: Release Engineering Manager
- Employment type: Permanent
- Workplace model: Hybrid / Office
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO)
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:
Testing and environment reliability are often the hidden tax on engineering velocity - slow feedback, flaky environments, and manual processes that quietly drain team capacity. This role exists to systematically remove that toil. By bringing an automation-first mindset to everything from test coverage to environment management, this engineer keeps feedback fast, releases stable, and quality high. They don't just maintain the testing discipline - they elevate it, coaching teams and building the kind of automated foundations that let engineering move with confidence. The result is less time fighting fires, more time shipping.

Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Dig into system behaviour, risks, and release goals to work out what genuinely needs testing - and what doesn't
- Define test goals, scope, and strategies across component, integration, and system levels
- Own the reliability of release-critical environments and satellite test assets, keeping them stable through automation
- Design, write, and maintain automated and manual tests, building test frameworks to production-code standards
- Get hands-on with the system - exploring, validating, and challenging behaviour in areas that matter most to releases
- Guide and enable engineering teams on what to test, why it matters, and how to do it well
- Continuously sharpen test strategies and automation based on real outcomes, defects, and release feedback
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must haves:
- Five or more years of recent hands-on experience in test automation, building and maintaining test frameworks
- Strong, production-quality coding ability in [primary language(s), e.g. Python / Java / C++]
- Track record of owning test strategy and deciding what to test across component, integration, and system levels
- Hands-on experience making complex, production-like test environments reliable through automation
- A bias to action: spots manual or fragile work and automates it fast, without waiting for perfect process
Nice to haves:
- Exposure to specialist testing types such as performance, security, or hardware / hardware-in-the-loop testing
- Experience mentoring engineers or acting as a technical lead on testing
- Experience with observability or self-service tooling for test environments
