Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!
Figma's AI Tools team builds the AI-powered workflows, platforms, and tooling that make every engineer at the company more productive. From agentic CI auto-fixing and AI-assisted code review to background cloud agents that turn a Slack message into a pull request, this team owns the systems that are transforming how Figma builds software. The team operates across a three-layer platform stack—sandbox runtime, cloud agents, and workflow orchestration—while shipping and maintaining a growing portfolio of org-wide developer workflows that compound across hundreds of engineers.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
Lead and grow a team of engineers responsible for building and operating Figma's AI developer workflows and the cloud agent platform that powers them
Own the technical strategy and roadmap for AI Developer Experience, spanning sandbox runtime infrastructure, cloud agent reliability, workflow orchestration, and org-wide agentic workflows
Hire and scale the team - establishing team culture, execution cadence, and operational processes from the ground up
Drive the reliability, observability, and scalability of our cloud agent platform, ensuring it meets production-grade standards as adoption grows across the engineering organization
Partner with product engineering, security, infrastructure, and DevEx teams to identify the highest-leverage opportunities for AI-assisted developer workflows and drive adoption
Evaluate and integrate emerging AI tools, models, and agent frameworks, making strategic bets on which capabilities to build versus buy
Establish evaluation frameworks to measure the quality, cost, and impact of AI-generated code and agentic workflows across the organization
Coach and mentor engineers through career development, performance feedback, and technical leadership, fostering a culture of ownership, speed, and high-quality execution
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
3+ years of experience managing infrastructure, platform, or developer experience engineering teams, with a track record of scaling teams and delivering high-performing systems
Strong software engineering background, with Staff-level or above technical depth before moving into management with deep understanding of distributed systems, platform architecture, and the operational challenges of running production infrastructure at scale
Demonstrated fluency with AI/ML systems, LLM-based workflows, or agent architectures - as a builder, not just a consumer - with the ability to reason about tradeoffs in nondeterministic systems
Experience hiring, onboarding, and growing engineering teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Ability to set technical direction, drive cross-functional alignment, and make sound architectural decisions while balancing speed of execution with long-term sustainability
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
Direct experience building AI developer tooling, agent platforms, or AI-assisted engineering workflows
Familiarity with agent frameworks such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar background agent systems, including MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations
Experience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal, n8n, or Tines for multi-stage automation
Background in developer experience platforms including CI/CD systems, build tools (Bazel/Blaze), or large polyglot monorepo environments
Experience building evaluation and quality frameworks for AI-generated outputs
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Backend Platform team is the backbone of Perplexity’s product reliability, scalability, and performance, enabling every product and AI team to build with confidence.
This high‑impact group builds and maintains critical infrastructure, including backend systems for authentication, authorization, real-time data flows, service orchestration, and sandboxing, to ensure fast, reliable, and secure user experiences. By setting rigorous standards for code quality, uptime and performance, the Platform team ensures everyone at Perplexity can innovate at speed on top of a robust, well-architected foundation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design and implementation of our sandboxing platform to safely execute untrusted and user‑generated code while meeting strict performance and reliability requirements.
- Define and extend our RBAC and authorization primitives, ensuring they scale with new product capabilities and enterprise controls.
- Own key backend services involved in authentication and encryption flows (including BYOK‑related pieces), partnering with Security and Infra on defense‑in‑depth.
- Set the technical bar for backend platform design and operations, driving best practices in reliability, observability, and incident response for always‑on systems.
- Partner with product and AI teams to define clear platform interfaces, SLAs, and integration patterns so new features can reliably build on shared backend capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership across the backend platform area, mentoring other engineers and making long‑term architectural decisions that keep the foundation simple, secure, and evolvable.

- Experience designing and building backend systems that run in production (typically 4+ years for mid-level, more for senior and staff).
- Strong system design skills, with a track record of creating efficient, reliable, and scalable architectures.
- Hands-on experience with modern infrastructure (for example AWS, Kubernetes, and related cloud technologies).
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Go, or Rust, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-language environment.
- Collaborative mindset and eagerness to solve challenging technical problems with other experienced engineers.
- Comfort working in security‑sensitive areas (auth, authorization, encryption) and making pragmatic trade-offs between safety, simplicity, and velocity.
If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn’t match every qualification listed above.
Location: San Francisco; Palo Alto; London; Berlin; Belgrade; New York City
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Cloud Infrastructure team owns the foundational cloud primitives and deployment models that power Perplexity's products, from multi-tenant public cloud to single-tenant and on-premises solutions for enterprise customers.
As Perplexity grows its Computer and Enterprise products, this team builds and operates the security, isolation, and compliance layers that customers depend on. We provide the deployment topologies, multi‑region infrastructure, and core services that enable Perplexity to run reliably and efficiently for both consumer traffic and large enterprises.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the roadmap and technical strategy for agent-driven cloud infrastructure management.
- Design and operate Perplexity’s cloud networking fabric, including VPC architectures, private connectivity, and peering with hyperscalers and neocloud providers to support low-latency, high-throughput AI workloads.
- Architect and scale compute platforms (Kubernetes/EKS, autoscaling groups, and mixed CPU/GPU fleets) to efficiently serve online request traffic and background workloads across regions.
- Build and maintain secure, isolated deployment topologies for multi-tenant, single-tenant, and customer‑owned cloud (BYOC) environments, including cross-account networking, identity, and policy guardrails.
- Implement and evolve multi-region strategies for availability, failover, and data locality, including traffic routing, regional capacity planning, and disaster recovery playbooks.
- Partner with security to deliver enterprise controls such as BYOK/KMS integrations, network isolation, and auditability required for regulated customers.
- Develop automation, tooling, and runbooks that make day‑2 operations (provisioning, upgrades, incident response) predictable and repeatable for Perplexity products across all environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS (VPC design, routing, security groups, load balancing, private connectivity).
- Strong background with Kubernetes/EKS and container orchestration, including multi‑cluster, multi‑region, or multi‑account setups.
- Hands-on experience with cloud networking and peering (VPC peering, Transit Gateway, private link/service endpoints, or similar constructs in neoclouds).
- Experience building or operating secure, isolated environments for enterprise customers (single‑tenant, BYOC, or on‑prem), ideally including BYOK/KMS integrations and compliance constraints.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and strong software engineering skills in at least one of Python, Go, or Rust for automation and tooling.
- Strong debugging and incident management skills across distributed systems (networking, compute, and platform layers), with a track record of driving root‑cause analysis and long‑term fixes.
- 7+ years of industry experience building and operating production cloud infrastructure, including leading the design of complex systems or migrations.
If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn’t match every qualification listed above.

WHO ARE WE?
Welltech is a global wellness technology company with Ukrainian roots. Our mission is to build and scale wellness apps globally through state-of-the-art, tech-driven performance marketing.
We are one of the most established players in the wellness app space, and we are accelerating. Over 25.5 million people across the world use our apps — Muscle Booster, Yoga-Go, and WalkFit — to build healthier habits, move more, and feel better every day. Every subscription represents a real person making a real change in their life, and we take that seriously.
With 500+ people across hubs in Cyprus, Ukraine, Poland, Spain, and the UK, we combine the scale of a market leader and the drive of a team that's just getting started.
The Product Engineer Mindset
We don’t hire people to implement specs. We hire people who can spot the right problem to solve, talk directly to product, design, data, and users to sharpen it, and ship the thinnest version that proves the bet, then iterate. If this is you, you probably:
- Measure your work in outcomes, not output. A feature isn’t done when it merges; it’s done when the metric moves, or you’ve learned it won’t, and killed it.
- Go to the source. You don’t wait for a perfect PRD. You sit with PMs, designers, marketers, and data, and sometimes users directly, to understand what’s actually being asked.
- Own things end-to-end. From the first conversation about a problem through architecture, code, rollout, monitoring, and the follow-up experiment. You don’t hand work off at a boundary.
- Have a strong bias to ship. Prototypes, A/B tests, feature flags, kill switches. You’d rather get something in front of users this week than a perfect plan in two months.
- Treat AI as leverage, not a novelty. You use agentic workflows to compress the loop between idea and learning, for yourself and the team.
What You’ll Own
This is an ownership role, not a feature factory seat. You’ll be on the hook for outcomes across the stack, not just the code in your area:
- A cross-platform foundation, end to end. Mobile, web, BFF, and infrastructure layers, built and evolved with an AI-first, agentic development approach, and held to outcomes you helped define.
- Scalable foundations for health & fitness apps. React Native and modern web technologies, designed so product teams can ship and experiment faster without rederiving the basics each time.
- The discovery loop with stakeholders. Working directly with product, design, marketing, and data to translate business bets into running experiments, not just tickets in a backlog.
- AI-agentic workflows across the SDLC. You’ll continuously improve how the team uses AI to raise productivity, code quality, and delivery speed, and prove the impact.
- Shared platform capabilities. Internal tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-assisted workflows that make every engineer at Welltech faster and the product better.
- Native mobile and media experiences. Video playback, streaming, and HLS, owned from native integration through user-perceived quality.
- Modular, reusable systems. Backend-driven UI, white-label capabilities, and the architectural choices that let one team’s work compound for the next.
- Reliable integrations. Between frontend clients, BFF services, and platform infrastructure, with you on the hook for the health of the seams.
- The engineering culture. Architecture discussions, code reviews or pairing when working on trunk based development workflows, documentation, and continuous improvement, leading by what you ship and how you ship it.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Key responsibilities:
- Build and evolve a cross-platform ecosystem covering mobile, web, BFF, and infrastructure layers using an AI-first, agentic development approach
- Design scalable foundations for health & fitness applications powered by React Native and modern web technologies
- Work directly with product, design, and marketing stakeholders to rapidly translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and experiments
- Develop and continuously improve AI-agentic workflows across the full development lifecycle to increase team productivity, code quality, and delivery speed
- Develop shared platform capabilities, internal tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-assisted workflows that improve development speed and product quality
- Work on native mobile integrations and advanced media experiences, including video playback, streaming, and HLS-based solutions
- Contribute to modular architectures, reusable systems, backend-driven UI solutions, and white-label application capabilities
- Build reliable and scalable integrations between frontend clients, BFF services, and platform infrastructure
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of engineering workflows
Required skills:
- Strong commercial experience with React Native and modern TypeScript-based application development
- Solid understanding of full-stack architecture including mobile, web, BFF, and cloud/infrastructure layers
- Experience building scalable cross-platform systems and shared application foundations
- Deep understanding of software architecture, modular systems, scalability, and performance optimization
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, automation tooling, and modern developer workflows
- Strong engineering mindset focused on maintainability, reliability, testability, and fast iteration
- Comfortable working in AI-assisted or agentic development environments and adopting new AI-driven workflows quickly
- Experience with backend-driven UI architectures
Nice to have:
- Experience building white-label mobile applications or multi-brand ecosystems
- Experience designing and implementing BFF (Backend for Frontend) services
- Hands-on backend development experience with TypeScript (Node.js)
- Experience building internal developer platforms, shared tooling, or scalable platform capabilities
- Familiarity with OWASP mobile security best practices
- Experience with engineering methodologies focused on rapid iteration and high developer productivity (Trunk Based Development, CI/CD mindset, TDD, BDD, XP, etc.)
- Strong experience with native mobile integrations and media/video playback technologies
- Hands-on experience with HLS streaming and native video player integrations on iOS and Android (AVPlayer, ExoPlayer, Chromecast, AirPlay)

You will sit at the intersection of Engineering, Product, and Sales, acting as a technical advisor who can both high-level strategize and deep-dive into code to close complex deals and accelerate market adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Sales team to lead technical discovery, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (POC) engagements.
Build custom integrations, scripts, and demos that showcase the unique value proposition of the product to prospective clients.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose technical issues on the fly.
Track record of supporting high-growth GTM motions and hitting revenue-linked milestones.
Experience working in early-stage or venture-backed startups.
