WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Manager of Forward Deployed Engineering on Notion’s Services team, you will lead a team responsible for the hands-on technical delivery of our most complex customer engagements. Your team will design, build, and deploy production-ready solutions that help enterprise customers integrate Notion as the operating layer for their business.
You will combine people leadership, technical judgment, and customer-facing delivery. You will coach Forward Deployed Engineers through discovery, architecture, implementation, and launch while remaining close enough to the work to guide difficult technical decisions, unblock delivery, and build trust with senior customer stakeholders.
The team’s work includes custom code, production-grade agents and AI workflows using MCP, Agent APIs, and Notion’s automation and execution infrastructure, as well as integrations, data pipelines, enterprise migrations, and complex challenges involving scale, permissions, and governance.
You will help establish how Services delivers complex technical implementations across EMEA. This includes building a high-performing team, improving delivery standards and reusable technical assets, partnering with Sales, Product, CX, and Engineering, and turning lessons from customer deployments into product and platform improvements.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Forward Deployed Engineers delivering complex enterprise customer engagements across EMEA.
- Create a high-performance team environment with clear expectations, strong technical standards, effective feedback, and meaningful career development.
- Own the quality and outcomes of engagements from technical discovery and requirements gathering through solution design, implementation, launch, and handover.
- Act as a trusted technical and delivery advisor to customer engineering, IT, security, and business leaders, helping them make informed architectural decisions and deepen their use of Notion.
- Guide the design, build, and operation of custom agents, integrations, automations, and data pipelines that connect Notion with customers’ systems and workflows.
- Oversee large-scale content and data migrations, including discovery, scoping, data modeling, transformation logic, validation, cutover, and post-migration optimization.
- Review technical designs and implementation plans, identify delivery risks early, and step in directly when an engagement requires senior technical leadership.
- Partner with Sales and Services leaders on qualification, feasibility, scoping, effort estimation, staffing, and delivery planning for strategic opportunities.
- Balance customer priorities, team capacity, and technical complexity to make sound staffing and sequencing decisions.
- Help define and scale the operating model for Forward Deployed Engineering, including hiring, onboarding, delivery methodologies, quality reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING
- 8+ years of experience in forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, professional services, customer engineering, software engineering, or a similar hands-on technical role.
- 2+ years of experience managing, coaching, or leading engineers responsible for customer-facing technical delivery.
- A strong track record of hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing technical teams.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, SQL, or Python, with the technical depth to review production-quality code and guide implementation decisions.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, integrations, authentication, data transformation, and production systems.
- Experience leading technical discovery, assessing feasibility, identifying risks, scoping work, estimating effort, and translating ambiguous requirements into executable plans.
- Strong architectural judgment and debugging skills, with the ability to isolate root causes across code, APIs, permissions, integrations, data quality, automation logic, system limits, and customer-specific environments.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple complex customer engagements while maintaining quality, team health, and clear stakeholder communication.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and business audiences from practitioners through executive stakeholders.
- A customer- and outcomes-oriented approach, with sound judgment about when to standardize, when to customize, and how to manage tradeoffs.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience building or scaling a Forward Deployed Engineering, professional services, or customer engineering function in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Experience deploying AI agents in complex coding or business workflows.
- Experience designing or implementing AI-powered workflows involving MCP, APIs, LLM applications, prompt engineering, retrieval or RAG systems, or workflow orchestration.
- Experience with ETL or ELT workflows, schema mapping, validation scripts, and large-scale content or data migration tooling.
- Experience partnering with product and engineering teams to influence roadmaps or architectural decisions based on customer implementation needs.
- Experience supporting pre-sales and early engagement phases, including technical discovery, migration scoping, feasibility analysis, effort estimation, prototypes, and custom scripts.

You care about developer tools, clear technical storytelling, and helping software engineers do their best work. You know how to take complex product capabilities and turn them into clear narratives, launches, and campaigns that resonate with a highly technical audience. If you thrive on autonomy, take pride in your technical craft, and want to help shape how .NET developers worldwide view our tools, this role is for you.
About JetBrains
We create intelligent software development tools for developers and teams. More than 15 million users, over 300,000 companies, and 88 of the Fortune Global Top 100 rely on our products to solve real, complex problems. Our mission is simple: make development teams more productive and AI adoptable at scale.
What you’ll do
Developer tools are changing fast, and how we talk about .NET tools needs to stay grounded, credible, and clear. We need someone who can take ownership of technical product marketing across Rider, ReSharper, and dotUltimate, ensuring our messaging cuts through industry noise and focuses on genuine developer needs.
In this role, you’ll dig into products and developer workflows yourself, identify the stories worth telling, and help determine how we bring them to market. You will work closely with Product Managers, software engineers, Developer Advocates, Research, Growth, and other Marketing teams. Decisions here live close to the work – you’ll have the autonomy to generate ideas, test new campaign approaches, and shape product messaging without needing permission at every step.
Day to day, you will:
Develop clear positioning, messaging, and product stories around Rider, ReSharper, dotUltimate, and related .NET developer experiences.
Turn complex technical capabilities and developer workflows into clear content, including launch stories, product pages, blog posts, case studies, video scripts, and campaign assets.
Own product and feature marketing for key capabilities, working from product priorities and product manager input to shape developer-facing stories.
Coordinate selected release marketing workflows, including planning and producing What’s New content and ensuring release stories are accurately represented.
Build a deep understanding of .NET developers, their workflows, customer needs, market trends, and community conversations to shape priorities and campaigns.
Develop and execute developer-focused campaigns around important product bets, defining the audience, message, channels, assets, and measures of success.
Extend product stories beyond release day through follow-up content, campaigns, customer stories, and amplification.
Measure the performance of launches, content, and campaigns, share what we learn, and adjust our approach when needed.
Help tell the evolving story of professional developer tools as AI changes how software is built, including workflows involving agents and code intelligence.
Contribute hands-on by writing articles, testing features, building briefs, editing landing pages, and capturing product visuals directly on demo projects.
What you’ll bring
High technical curiosity and a deep respect for developer workflows and software craft.
Comfort taking ownership, making decisions independently, and carrying ambiguous opportunities through execution.
A habit of asking good questions and challenging assumptions constructively before building a campaign.
Clear, direct communication style with an ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly and credibly.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple workstreams and collaborate smoothly across distributed teams.
A pragmatic approach that balances strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and hands-on execution.
What you’ll need
Practical experience in technical product marketing, developer marketing, or a comparable role for a technical software product.
Ability to understand software development well enough to work directly with engineers and translate technical capabilities into developer benefits.
Proven track record of bringing software products, features, or releases to market within frequent release cycles.
Solid understanding of positioning, messaging, audience segmentation, channel selection, and campaign measurement.
Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to create compelling technical content and collaborate effectively with global teams.
We’d be especially thrilled if you:
Have worked on developer tools, IDEs, APIs, SDKs, cloud or developer infrastructure, DevOps, or another product built for software developers.
Have hands-on development experience or regularly work with code and developer tooling.
Know C#, .NET, Rider, ReSharper, Visual Studio, VS Code, or related developer ecosystems.
Have marketed AI-assisted development tools or are familiar with modern coding agents and AI developer workflows.
Have created technical content such as case studies, tutorials, product videos, demos, technical articles, or developer-focused campaigns.
Have experience working directly with developer communities or technical customers, including through webinars, interviews, or customer conversations.
What success looks like
Success means crafting clear, credible product narratives that help .NET developers understand the value of our tools, earning the trust of product and engineering teams, and continuously improving how we bring releases and campaigns to market.

BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Build operating rhythms, reviews, and forums that keep the Pro org aligned and focused on priorities.
- Lead and deliver cross-functional projects that don’t fit neatly into a single team but are critical to Pro’s success.
- Support leadership in decision-making by framing issues, tracking KPIs, and surfacing gaps or risks early.
- Maintain systems for reporting, business reviews, roadmap coordination, and cross-team initiatives.
- Partner with leadership to scope and stand up new initiatives in Spot, Margin, Derivatives, or Infrastructure — from early concept through initial execution.
- Contribute to high-impact materials (exec updates, all-hands, strategic memos) that provide clarity and visibility.
- Act as the first line of intake for inbound requests, triage them effectively, and ensure accountability for follow-through.
- Identify bottlenecks in how we operate and propose improvements that help the team scale more efficiently.
- Use business intelligence and data to support PMs and leadership across Pro, cutting through competing priorities and surface the best opportunities.
- Partner with Compliance and Legal teams to find ways to improve product experience.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5–7 years in BizOps, Product Ops, Strategy, Consulting, or similar high-leverage roles with measurable impact.
- Strong project management skills — you can bring structure to ambiguity and drive initiatives from 0 → 1.
- Comfortable with data: you can interpret dashboards, KPIs, and financial/operational metrics to drive insight.
- Excellent communicator who can adapt across audiences — from execs to cross-functional ICs.
- Highly organized, detail-driven, and biased toward follow-through and execution.
- Self-starter who doesn’t wait for instructions — you create the roadmap when one doesn’t exist.
- Experience collaborating across product, engineering, compliance, legal, finance, and marketing.
- Belief in Kraken’s mission to accelerate financial freedom and inclusion through crypto.
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.
As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.

Workplace: Hybrid
Synthesia is the world’s leading AI video platform for business, used by over 90% of the Fortune 100. Founded in 2017, the company is headquartered in London, with offices and teams across Europe and the US.
As AI continues to shape the way we live and work, Synthesia develops products to enhance visual communication and enterprise skill development, helping people work better and stay at the center of successful organizations.
Following our recent Series E funding round, where we raised $200 million, our valuation stands at $4 billion. Our total funding exceeds $530 million from premier investors including Accel, NVentures (Nvidia's VC arm), Kleiner Perkins, GV, and Evantic Capital, alongside the founders and operators of Stripe, Datadog, Miro, and Webflow.
About the role:
We're looking for a Solutions Engineering Manager to lead and grow our presales function in NYC. Reporting to our presales VP of Solutions Engineering, this is a founding leadership role where you'll help us establish the discipline from the ground up, shaping the playbook that drives your region's success while collaborating across the business to share best practices.
As a Solutions Engineering Manager, you will have full ownership of your team's success; you'll be hiring and developing Solutions Engineers, while staying hands-on in the highest-impact deals in your market. You'll set the bar for how your team runs discovery, demos, Proofs of Concept, and technical evaluations. You'll regularly partner with Sales leadership, Product, Customer Success, and Product Marketing to connect your team's work to revenue outcomes. You'll own forecasting, performance, and the overall health of your market, collaborating with presales leadership on strategy and priorities.
Recruitment and Development
- Hire, ramp, and develop a team of 5-10 Solutions Engineers (SEs)in your region, across experience levels, from mid-career to subject matter experts.
- Run regular 1:1s, deal reviews, and career development conversations, ensuring a high quality of discovery, demos, and technical evaluations across the team.
- Build a collaborative, inclusive team culture where Solutions Engineers support each other across deals, not just their own book.
Execution
- Execute and reinforce Synthesia's core presales motions (research, discovery, demos, workshops, Proofs of Concept, champion building, and handover to customer success) with consistency across your team.
- Design and evolve Synthesia's demo methodology across Studio, Roleplay Sessions, and Interactive Avatars, so your team proves business value quickly regardless of use case.
- Build and maintain the presales toolkit for your team with Synthesia's product and operations teams for demo environments, reusable assets, evaluation guides, and objection handling; iterating where you see gaps for your market.
- Evangelize and drive consistent use of AI tools across your team, from call prep to demo delivery to turning discovery notes into follow-up documentation to improve win rate and deal size.
- Partner with Enablement and senior SEs in other markets to share what's working and avoid rebuilding the same assets twice.
- Own forecasting and pipeline hygiene for presales involvement in your market, and report on team performance, win rates, and Proofs of Concept throughput to presales leadership.
- Partner with Sales leadership on account and territory strategy, resourcing your team against the highest-value opportunities.
- Bring visibility to deal risk, timeline, and technical dependencies across your team's active opportunities, and unblock what your SEs can't unblock alone.
- Route field feedback, product gaps, and competitive intelligence from your team up to Product, Product Marketing, and SE leadership.
Domain and Playbook expertise
- Design and evolve Synthesia's demo methodology across Studio, Roleplay Sessions, and Interactive Avatars.
- Use your experience in expert-level discovery, demonstrations, and Proofs of Concept scoping to coach SEs at every level.
- Build fluency in MEDDPICC and Command of the Message frameworks across your team through coaching on real-world application, not framework recitation.
- Deliver and coach Proofs of Concept and executive readouts as a business narrative, not a feature tour, holding the room with C-level audiences yourself when the deal calls for it.
About you:
- Experience recruiting, managing, and developing Solution Engineering presales teams.
- You've owned the full employee life cycle from hiring through onboarding and promotions, across tenures from early stage to specialised individual contributors. You've done this with teams you've inherited, plus those you've built from scratch.
- Your path to leadership started as an IC executing straightforward opportunities against a playbook, then evolved into solving complex problems with product partners - ultimately building deep expertise in a specific business area or vertical.
- Track record of improving team performance through coaching, hands-on deal support, and consistent execution of an established presales process, not through reinventing it.
- Comfortable owning forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and performance reporting from a presales perspective, not mimicking the AE perspective.
- Fluent in MEDDPICC and Command of the Message, with the credibility to coach both new and experienced SEs on applying them.
- Clear, inclusive communicator who can flex from deep technical detail to executive-level value narratives, and can teach others to do the same.
- Collaborative leadership style, comfortable partnering with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Product Marketing leadership as peers, not just stakeholders.
Location: This role is hybrid (2+ days a week in our NYC office depending on needs), and we offer 60 days "work from anywhere" annually.
Beneftis
- A competitive salary + stock options in our fast-growing Series E startup
- Hybrid working environment for NY based employees
