Arcadia is dedicated to happier, healthier days for all. We believe that there is a better healthcare world – one powered by data. Our platform transforms complex, diverse data into a unified foundation for health, helping organizations deliver better care, boost revenue, and lower costs.
We’re a team of fiercely driven individuals committed to making healthcare more sustainable—and we’re looking for passionate people to help us get there.
For more information, visit arcadia.io.
Why This Role Is Important to Arcadia
Arcadia's data platform powers population health analytics for health plans, ACOs, and provider groups across the country. As a Lead Analytics Engineer — Data Modeling & Quality, you sit at the intersection of data quality ownership and analytical data modeling. You'll own the SQL and DBT layer that transforms raw clinical and claims data into trusted, production-grade datasets, while also serving as the quality authority for the data those models produce.
This is a hybrid role — deeper SQL and DBT expertise than a traditional Data Health Professional, with a more analytical and model-focused scope than a Data Engineering role. You're less focused on pipeline infrastructure and more on the logic, shape, and trustworthiness of the data itself.
What Success Looks Like
In 3 months
Independently triage and resolve pipeline data quality issues
Author at least one new DBT model or refactor an existing one to meet current modeling standards
Understand the end-to-end pipeline from ingress through silver and gold, and be able to trace a data quality issue to its root layer
In 6 months
What You'll Be Doing
DATA MODELING & DBT DEVELOPMENT
Author, review, and maintain DBT models using Spark/Hudi from ingest through bronze and silver
Help clients understand their data model, assumptions, and limitations through intentional validation
Troubleshoot and fix issues, then write DBT tests to catch issues proactively
Optimize SQL performance for slow-running jobs
Partner with Data Engineering on table design, partition strategy, and incremental patterns
DATA QUALITY OWNERSHIP
Triage and classify data quality alerts, distinguishing source-level issues from transform-layer failures
Design and maintain volume monitors and DQ monitors (null rate, distribution, future-date checks)
Author and apply clinical DQ rules (entity volume, field coverage, LOINC coverage, referential integrity) and claims validation rules across silver and gold layers
Conduct quality reviews for connector promotions — evaluating silver entity coverage, validation rule pass rates, and bronze-to-silver transformation correctness
Own the ticket queue for DQ, attribution, hierarchy, and customer-specific data quality issues, writing clear customer-facing findings
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL QUALITY COLLABORATION
Lead data quality reviews during connector installation and promotion (UAT → PRD), including claims validation playbooks and null analysis
Partner with Data Engineering on root-cause triage for errors, ingress anomalies, and silver table issues surfaced through data quality monitoring
Coordinate with the Measure Implementation Team (MIT) when data quality issues affect quality measure scores
Contribute to and enforce data modeling standards across teams

adjoe builds the technologies behind mobile apps growth and monetization. With our core product Playtime Arcade, we've become the global leader in rewarded advertising, an ad unit built on a simple premise: users earn real in-app rewards for engaging with new apps. The result is one of the most effective value exchanges in adtech, connecting advertisers and publishers with over 770 million users annually.
Ensuring Authenticity for Billions of Daily Rewards
Industry reports suggest 25 percent of global mobile ad spend is lost to fraudulent activities like click farms, fake installs, SDK spoofing, and emulator farms. At adjoe, we define our platform through trust and proactive engineering. We build high-performance defenses that guarantee accurate reward attribution, ensuring every interaction is authentic. This creates a sustainable value exchange that empowers our partners to grow with confidence.
The Anti-Fraud team develops systems that detect and prevent malicious activity at scale. Our custom Android and iOS SDKs analyze device integrity for modifications like Xposed frameworks, Magisk modules, and jailbroken devices. Supporting these, Go microservices and DynamoDB deliver millisecond-level responses, while Kafka and SQS process billions of daily events in real time. This infrastructure protects publisher margins and ensures a trustworthy platform for all users.
Your Mission & Who We Are Looking For:
- A data analyst with a strong technical foundation. You have 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics and work fluently in both SQL and Python, writing complex queries, big data optimization and building reliable analysis pipelines.
- Experienced in anomaly detection. You have 1+ years of hands-on experience developing and validating detection approaches, balancing fraud detection effectiveness with false positives and business impact.
- An investigator by nature. You turn ambiguous problems into structured investigations, uncover suspicious patterns, and validate hypotheses to distinguish genuine fraud signals from noise.
- Statistically grounded. You understand experimentation, hypothesis testing, and statistical concepts to validate findings and draw sound conclusions.
- You own the solution, not just the analysis. You translate validated insights into effective detection logic and automated monitoring that improves fraud prevention at scale.
- Automation-minded. You build reusable analytical frameworks and pipelines that improve efficiency and reliability. Experience with Airflow or dbt is a plus.
- Collaborative and business-aware. You translate complex findings into actionable recommendations, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and take ownership of your impact.
- Anti-fraud experience is a big plus. Experience in fraud detection, risk analytics, or abuse prevention ideally in adtech, gaming, fintech, or similar high-volume digital environments is highly valued.
A quick note before you apply: This role is quite hands-on, so experience with anomaly detection and strong practical skills in both SQL and Python are essential. If you’re still building experience in these areas, this particular role might not be the right fit just yet — but we appreciate your interest in adjoe!
🌎 We welcome applications from talent worldwide and provide relocation support to Hamburg, Germany for those ready to join our team.
What’s In It For You?
At adjoe, you’re not here to just close JIRA tickets, you’re helping build the infrastructure behind one of the most impactful platforms in adtech. The systems you work on will reach hundreds of millions of users and power billions of decisions every day.
