Staff Software Engineer, Adaptive Experiences Platform
Waterloo, ON
About the Role
The DTIS organization is building the next generation of adaptive experiences for PlayStation. Our vision is to make every customer touchpoint more relevant, useful, and joyful by combining reusable experience capabilities with personalization, merchandising, experimentation, and intelligent decisioning.
We are looking for a
Staff Software Engineer
to help lead the evolution of our Dynamic Experience Management platform, allowing teams to create and optimize experiences without requiring bespoke implementation for every client, iterating rapidly.
You will be a hands-on technical leader working across the experience stack. You will also shape the architecture needed to extend capabilities beyond PS5, across web, mobile, and other PlayStation devices. This is an opportunity to define foundational technology that will change how PlayStation builds, delivers, experiments with, and learns from customer experiences at scale.
Responsibilities
Define and drive the technical direction for our experiences client SDK, translating the adaptive-experiences vision into an incremental, production-ready architecture.
Design and evolve the platform-independent composition layer, public TypeScript APIs, versioned schemas, content adapters, component model, data bindings, and platform renderer contracts.
Build reusable experience primitives and native rendering capabilities that support responsive layouts, personalization, experimentation, telemetry, accessibility, localization, and platform-specific interaction models.
Establish safe coexistence and migration patterns, including backward compatibility, capability negotiation, validation, feature flags, fallbacks, rollback, and observability.
Profile and optimize bundle size, startup and time-to-interactive performance, memory usage, rendering behavior, and runtime reliability on resource-constrained client platforms.
Improve developer experience through clear interfaces, reference integrations, test harnesses, preview and debugging tools, automated compatibility testing, and high-quality documentation.
Help establish governed, agent-assisted authoring and validation workflows that can translate design and business intent into trusted artifacts, supported by policy checks and evaluation suites.
Partner with client, design system, merchandising, content, personalization, experimentation, and platform service teams to align contracts and deliver end-to-end capabilities.
Provide technical leadership across team boundaries, mentor engineers, make sound trade-offs in ambiguous problem spaces, and communicate architecture and decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience designing and delivering production client platforms, SDKs, frameworks, or shared libraries.
Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript or JavaScript and strong experience with React, React Native, or a comparable component-based client framework.
Strong software architecture and API design skills, including modularity, dependency management, versioning, backward compatibility, and incremental migration of large production systems.
Experience building data-driven or server-driven user interfaces, reusable component systems, or runtime composition frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and improve client performance and reliability using profiling, telemetry, automated testing, and production observability.
Experience designing for more than one client environment, such as console, mobile, web, TV, or embedded platforms, with a practical understanding of platform-specific constraints.
Proven track record of solving ambiguous, cross-functional problems with minimal direction and driving alignment without relying on formal authority.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document architecture and explain complex technical decisions clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with console development, living-room interfaces, focus-based navigation, or performance-constrained native clients.
Experience with schema-backed declarative UI, domain-specific languages, JSON Schema, component expansion, data binding, hydration, or client-side rendering engines.
Experience building or integrating client SDKs, content management or merchandising systems, personalization platforms, experimentation frameworks, or design systems.
Experience migrating a large client application away from a legacy rendering or content-delivery framework using staged rollout, compatibility layers, and measurable exit criteria.
Experience developing platform adapters or renderers for iOS, Android, web, or other native client environments.
Familiarity with content and layout separation, runtime content sources, telemetry provenance, accessibility, localization, and safe fallback behavior.
Experience with developer tooling, visual preview systems, contract testing, schema validation, or automated cross-platform regression testing.
Experience applying generative AI or agentic workflows to software or content creation, including evaluation, governance, and deterministic output constraints.
A track record of technical leadership and mentoring across multiple teams.
Additional Skills
Motivated self-starter who combines long-term architectural thinking with pragmatic, incremental delivery.
Customer-focused and attentive to developer experience, operational usability, and measurable product outcomes.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with partners across product, design, engineering, and operations.

About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

: Client-facing. Works directly with client Technology, Business, and ISV/Product Partner teams as the architectural anchor for the engagement.

Own non-functional requirements, including scalability, resiliency, security, latency, and cost.
Collaborate with business, technology, and ISV teams to define scope, estimates, timelines, milestones, and phased delivery plans.
Provide cost inputs and trade-off analysis (build vs. configure, in-house vs. ISV-delivered).
Evaluate requirements against OMS OOB capabilities before recommending customization.
Document OOB versus custom decisions and rationale.
Define architectural standards, coding guidelines, integration patterns, and governance processes.
Establish architecture review checkpoints and maintain architecture documentation.
Lead solution workshops, architecture reviews, and trade-off discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
Represent architecture decisions in client governance forums.
Domain & Technical Expertise
Strong B2B OMS domain knowledge, including order lifecycle, inventory/allocation, fulfillment orchestration, and returns.

Knowledge of OMS integrations with Payment Gateways, PLM, Loyalty Platforms, Recommendation Engines, WMS, and Promotion Frameworks.
Expertise in Java/J2EE, microservices, event-driven architecture, RESTful services, and integration patterns.
Strong understanding of cloud architecture, preferably AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Kinesis, Secrets Manager, and S3.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As Manager, Enablement Programs, you will own the programs and operating system that help sellers ramp fast and execute with confidence — from global onboarding to role-readiness, Field OS, and AI-enabled enablement workflows. This role exists because we’re evolving our Enablement and GTM motion, and we need a leader to drive that change: set the standard for what “great” looks like in the era of AI, build an AI-native enablement model, and own the agentic workflows that help the field execute.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- By day 90: Build the first version of the Field OS as a seller-ramp unlock (priority workflows, trusted resources, and AI-enabled execution moments by role).
- By day 90: Map and prototype the core custom agents that help sellers ramp faster and apply the right support at each stage of the sales process.
- By day 90: Refresh onboarding around continuous iteration (A/B testing, measurement, and role-specific alignment to the sales process) and implement onboarding engagement + impact metrics.
- By day 90: Stand up a dedicated manager onboarding track to help managers ramp faster and reinforce new-hire success consistently.
- By end of year 1: Make onboarding and role readiness a repeatable system that measurably improves ramp and raises the bar on enablement quality through tight feedback loops and durable workflows.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Proven ability to design and run global enablement programs end-to-end (especially onboarding), including live + async modalities across regions and time zones.
- Strong program leadership and operating cadence: clear roadmaps, decision-making, stakeholder alignment, and measurement that drives iteration (not just reporting).
- Experience building scalable enablement systems (resource governance, intake processes, comms rhythms) that sellers actually use.
- AI-fluent approach to enablement: using AI and automation to improve quality, speed, and consistency of seller execution (and instrumenting adoption/impact).
- People leadership experience managing and developing a small team; sets high standards and builds a calm, high-ownership operating rhythm.

Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As our GTM Compensation Lead on Commercial Operations, you’ll own commissions strategy, design, and execution for GTM. This is an opportunity to evolve how GTM Comp supports a growing GTM org through Notion’s AI-era selling motion and Enterprise growth. You’ll set the incentive systems that shape how our sellers focus, partner, and grow with customers. On a typical week, you’ll work with senior GTM leaders — including the Head of Sales and geo leaders — to translate business priorities into clear, accurate, scalable comp programs.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- By your 90th day, map the current GTM Comp operating model and publish a roadmap for evolving the function as GTM grows.
- Introduce AI quick wins that improve the quality of work: triage inbound questions, help reps estimate payouts, flag discrepancies across systems, and automate reminders tied to the comp calendar.
- Build a planning-cycle framework that makes design inputs, trade-offs, decision rights, and timelines clear across GTM, Finance, and Commercial Operations.
- Provide board-level updates, including clear reporting on plan health, payout accuracy, systems quality, and key design decisions.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Demonstrated judgment balancing Finance discipline with GTM effectiveness — you can protect accuracy and controls while designing plans that support the selling motion.
- Strong financial modeling and data fluency, with the ability to translate complex plan mechanics into clear analysis, recommendations, and executive-ready narratives.
- Experience leading transformative operational projects from design through rollout, especially where cross-functional alignment and change management matter.
- Track record of building and maintaining sustainable quarterly operating cadences, including clear calendars, communications frameworks, and repeatable review moments. Ideally you have managed this process at a public company.
- AI-fluent operating style: you use AI to improve decision quality, automate manual checks, identify data discrepancies, and build tools or workflows that make teams more self-serve.
- Familiarity with Everstage a plus!

For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

Senior Finance Data Governance Consultant (Contract)
*This is a 12 month temporary assignment
Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking an experienced, hands-on Finance Data Governance consultant to help establish and operationalize SIE’s Finance Data Governance capability. The role will partner across Finance and Technology to define governance standards, document critical Finance data and lineage, establish data quality controls, govern master data and hierarchies, and support priority Finance data products.
The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of experience in data governance, Finance transformation, or Finance data management, with strong knowledge of financial processes and systems. Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Snowflake, data catalog/governance platforms such as Atlan or Collibra, and enterprise reporting tools is preferred. The candidate should be comfortable working independently in a greenfield environment and translating complex Finance and technical requirements into practical, sustainable governance processes.
Responsibilities:
Establish the Finance Data Governance Foundation
Assess the current maturity of Finance data governance, documentation, ownership, controls, and data management practices.
Design and implement a practical Finance Data Governance operating model, including roles, decision rights, governance forums, workflows, escalation paths, and operating cadences.
Create governance standards, procedures, templates, decision logs, issue-management routines, and approval processes that Finance and Technology teams can use in practice.
Build the Finance Data Inventory and Business Glossary
Identify and inventory priority Finance data domains, systems, tables, reports, interfaces, data products, calculations, mappings, and critical data elements.
Document business definitions, ownership, stewardship, approved usage, security classification, refresh frequency, and downstream dependencies.
Resolve conflicting definitions across Accounting, FP&A, management reporting, statutory reporting, and regional Finance teams.
Prepare metadata for publication in an enterprise data catalog and establish workflows for maintaining, reviewing, approving, and retiring governance documentation.
Document Data Lineage and Finance Transformation Logic
Map data from source systems through integration, transformation, consolidation, reporting, and analytical consumption.
Document business rules, transformation logic, mappings, allocations, eliminations, adjustments, currency translation, and reconciliation points.
Identify manual transformations, uncontrolled spreadsheets, duplicated logic, missing ownership, and lineage gaps, and support impact assessments for upstream changes.
Partner with technical teams to distinguish business lineage from physical and technical lineage.
Establish Data Quality and Financial Data Controls
Define practical Finance data quality standards, rules, thresholds, monitoring requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Build a data quality rule inventory and support issue identification, triage, root-cause analysis, ownership, remediation, escalation, and closure.
Develop data quality scorecards and maintain traceable and auditable evidence for approvals, exceptions, reconciliations, and remediation activities.
Govern Finance Master Data and Hierarchies
Document and govern Finance master data, reference data, mappings, and hierarchies, including accounts, cost centers, profit centers, entities, products, regions, currencies, scenarios, and reporting periods.
Define ownership, approval, versioning, effective dating, and change-control requirements.
Partner with master-data and technology teams on future hierarchy-management and Master Data Management initiatives, including business requirements, process design, testing, and downstream-impact assessment.
Support Priority Finance Data Products
Apply governance standards to priority Finance data products and procedures.
Support documentation and validation of SAP financial and consolidation data, including ACDOCA and ACDOCU where applicable.
Help document data flows and reconciliation requirements across SAP, consolidation and reporting platforms, Snowflake, Domo, planning tools, and downstream reports.·
Support the development of governed enterprise context and semantic layers for reporting, analytics, and AI-enabled Finance use cases.
Drive Adoption and Manage Delivery
Facilitate workshops, prepare executive-ready updates, develop training materials, and coach data owners and stewards on their responsibilities.
Translate complex Finance and technical concepts into clear documentation and decisions.
Establish a repeatable onboarding approach for new data domains and data products.
Promote governance as an enabler of faster, more reliable reporting and analytics rather than as an administrative exercise.
Develop and maintain a prioritized governance backlog with defined owners, deliverables, dependencies, and completion criteria.
Work independently, identify missing requirements, and move ambiguous work toward resolution.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in data governance, Finance data management, Finance transformation, financial systems, data quality, metadata management, or related consulting roles.
Demonstrated experience establishing or materially improving a data governance and data strategy capability in a complex enterprise.
Strong understanding of Finance processes, including general ledger, management reporting, financial consolidation, planning, forecasting, close, and reconciliation.
Experience documenting financial data definitions, business rules, mappings, hierarchies, lineage, controls, and data quality requirements.
Experience partnering with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, data engineering, business intelligence, security, and enterprise technology teams.
Ability to distinguish business ownership and governance responsibilities from technical platform and engineering responsibilities.
Strong facilitation skills and the ability to drive decisions across stakeholders with different priorities.
Demonstrated ability to create detailed, usable deliverables with limited existing documentation or structure.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce both detailed working documentation and executive-level summaries.
Experience working in a consulting, transformation, or contractor environment where measurable deliverables and knowledge transfer are required.
Ability to operate independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving, greenfield environment.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and related financial data structures, consolidation, or group reporting (e.g., ACDOCA, ACDOCU).
Experience with cloud data platforms, enterprise analytics/reporting tools, and data governance/catalog platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, Domo, Atlan, Collibra, Purview, or similar).
Strong understanding of data quality and architecture, including SQL, data profiling/reconciliation, dimensional modeling, semantic layers, hierarchies, and modern data architectures.
Experience working with Finance data in SOX-controlled or audit-sensitive environments, including data supporting automation and AI; consulting, Finance transformation, or enterprise data advisory experience preferred.
