We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
Role Summary
As a Research Engineer on the software side, you will design and harden the codebase, tools and distributed services that let our scientists train and ship frontier-scale models. You do not need prior ML experience; what matters is writing clean, reliable code that scales.
You will join our Research Software Engineering team to build and maintain shared dev-tools, evaluation & data pipelines, training framework, cluster tooling and CI/CD.
Location: Paris / Warsaw / Zurich / London (hybrid) or remote EU/UK with one hub visit per month.
What will you do
• Accelerate researchers by owning the complex parts of large-scale pipelines and delivering robust internal tooling.
• Interface research with product: expose clean APIs, automate model pushes, surface live metrics.
• Write efficient, well-tested Python and systems code; enforce code review, CI, and observability.
• Design and optimise distributed services (Kubernetes / SLURM, thousands-of-GPU jobs).
• Prototype utilities (CLI, dashboards) and carry them through to stable, shared libraries.
About the Research Engineering team
Based in Paris and London, our REs move fluidly along the research ↔ production spectrum. Engineers can rotate between Platform and Embedded tracks as their interests evolve.
About you
• Master’s in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• 4 + years building and operating large-scale or distributed systems.
• Strong software-design instincts: modular code, tests, CI/CD, observability.
• Fluency in Python plus one systems language (C++, Rust, Go or Java).
• Hands-on with container orchestration and schedulers (Kubernetes / K8s, SLURM, or similar).
• Comfortable profiling performance, optimising I/O, and automating workflows.
• Self-starter, low-ego, collaborative, high-energy.
Nice-to-haves
• Exposure to ML workloads or data-processing pipelines.
• Experience with GPU clusters or CUDA.
• Open-source contributions or widely used internal tools.
Location and Remote
This role is primarily based at one of our European offices (Paris, Warsaw, Zurich and London). We will prioritize candidates who either reside there or are open to relocating. We strongly believe in the value of in-person collaboration to foster strong relationships and seamless communication within our team. In certain specific situations, we will also consider remote candidates based in one of the countries listed in this job posting — currently France & UK. In that case, we ask all new hires to visit our local office:
• for the first week of their onboarding (accommodation and travelling covered)
• then at least 3 days per month

Who Is Wrike and Our Culture
We’re a team of innovators and creators who solve the complex work problems of today and tomorrow.
Hybrid work mode
Wrike is our people, not a place. With 1,000+ employees collaborating across nearly every time zone, we support talent through 10 global hubs — Australia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czechia, Estonia, France, India, Ireland, Japan, and the United States — offering flexible ways of working that include remote work, hybrid environments, and co-working spaces across many locations.
While flexibility looks different across teams and regions, employees located near certain hubs — particularly in Prague (CZ), Nicosia (CY), Bangalore (IN), and Rennes (FR) — are generally expected to collaborate in person around 2–3 days per week, balancing the flexibility of distributed work with opportunities for in-person collaboration and connection.

About the Role
OKX is looking for a Senior Director of AI to lead both people and product — building and managing a high-calibre AI team while staying deeply involved in the design, evaluation, and production deployment of autonomous agent systems. This role calls for a leader who leads by doing: technically grounded, sharp on product judgment, and able to translate both into tangible business outcomes.
What You'll Do
Team Leadership
— Build, manage, and develop a team of AI engineers and researchers; own hiring, growth, and performance across the function
Agent Product Delivery
— Lead end-to-end delivery of autonomous AI Agent products, covering the full lifecycle from requirements and architecture through to production operations
Eval-Driven Development
— Establish benchmark-driven evaluation frameworks that replace manual iteration with quantifiable quality signals across agent systems
Agent Harness Design
— Design and implement end-to-end Agent Harness infrastructure to ensure agent stability and reliability in complex, real-world scenarios
LLM
Orchestration
— Orchestrate creative reasoning steps alongside deterministic guardrails, finding the right balance between flexibility and control
Engineering Workflow Integration
— Embed AI Agent capabilities deeply into core products and engineering pipelines, improving both developer productivity and business value
Cross-functional Alignment
— Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to ensure technical direction stays tightly aligned with strategic priorities
What We're Looking For
Must-have
Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (PhD preferred)
10+ years of experience in AI/ML research, productization, or platform development, including core technical or leadership roles at globally recognized technology companies
Deep expertise in LLMs and Generative AI, deep learning, reinforcement learning, recommendation systems, and related areas
Proven track record of translating AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes
End-to-end delivery experience with autonomous AI Agent products, from inception and architecture through to production operations
Hands-on experience integrating AI deeply into engineering and development workflows — such as AI coding assistants, automated code review, or developer productivity tooling
Proficiency in Mandarin and English is required to collaborate across our multilingual, cross-regional teams
Nice to have
Background at an AI-native startup or frontier AI lab, with familiarity with fast-cycle product iteration
AI publications, patents, or industry-recognized technical contributions
Familiarity with the unique technical challenges of applying AI in crypto, fintech, or high-frequency data environments
