Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation and growth drive everything we do. Our Data Science organisation sits at the heart of Deliveroo powering decision-making across our 3 sided marketplace.
We’re looking for a
Senior Data Scientist
to join our
London
team (working hybrid, 3 days in the office). In this role, you’ll drive high-quality decision-making to maximise impact.
We’re hiring multiple Senior Data Scientists across different areas of the business. Rather than hiring for one fixed team, we use the interview process to understand your strengths, interests and development areas, and then align you to the right scope, remit and team.
About Our Data Science Organisation
We have an outstanding Data Science organisation, with a mission to drive the highest quality decision-making across our marketplace. We work throughout the company, in product, operations, and platform teams and are uniquely placed to use data to help make better decisions and improve data literacy across Deliveroo. We are great communicators, and move fast to serve our customers a little better every day.
Our community is highly active, with guest lectures, study groups, mentorship programmes and a robust technical review process. Data Scientists can progress equally as IC leads or managers.
Our data scientists come from all kinds of backgrounds but have excellence in common. Many are formally trained in data science, many are not.
What You’ll Be Doing
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Proactive Impact Delivery:
You will independently identify, define, and deliver impactful work that aligns with business goals and metrics, operating with minimal guidance to provide high value to your team and the broader organisation. You will own delivery end-to-end, ensuring the delivery of fast, high-quality, solutions that meet business needs.
Navigating Ambiguity and Complexity:
You will excel at deconstructing broad, ambiguous problem spaces into structured technical roadmaps, managing projects that require both deep team-specific rigour and an understanding of how they intersect with adjacent systems.
Strategic Technical Execution:
Drive strategic decision-making by selecting the most effective tool or method for the task, maintaining a focus on high-quality execution and measurable results. You will act as a well-trusted strategic partner to stakeholders, using analytics, effective communication and domain expertise to influence roadmaps.
Experimentation and measurement:
Design and lead measurement strategies that drive product direction, ranging from simple A/B tests to complex experimental designs. You will be equally capable of applying alternative causal inference techniques when standard trials aren't feasible, ensuring the business moves based on data driven insights.
Organisational Alignment
: Actively contribute to the broader Analytics community, driving L+D initiatives and cross-functional collaboration. You will ensure we are delivering the "right" things org-wide by aligning technical work with overarching business strategy and shared best practices.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
Significant experience in Data Science (or similar) roles.
A pragmatic and adaptable approach, with a strong focus on delivering impact efficiently at pace.
Excellent people skills — you'll be meeting with a range of both technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into data science problems
Experience leading both simple and more complex experiment designs, with the ability to proactively unpick insights to steer strategic decision making
Great communication skills - in person, in writing, in code; to technical and non-technical audiences.
Through solid analysis, provide clear and actionable recommendations that influence the team's roadmap.
Effective problem-solving, demonstrating an ability to successfully address complex and ambiguous challenges.
Ability to think creatively and insightfully about business problems
Proficiency with analytical tools like R/Python and familiarity with SQL. Proficiency with Cursor/AI tools to deliver impactful, high quality work efficiently is also valued

Improve performance, reliability, scalability and security for our backend systems
Collaborate & Influence:
Build relationships across global engineering teams to identify collaboration opportunities and influence the wider technical roadmap.
Mentor & Hire:

What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
Proficiency in using AI coding tools
(e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) in the full software development lifecycle, including designing, generating code, testing, monitoring and releasing software
Strong Engineering Principles:
Deep pride in writing readable, well-designed, and well-tested software.
Backend Expertise:
Significant experience building web-based applications (we use Go, Ruby/Rails, Python, Scala, and Rust).
Data Proficiency:
Practical experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and "NoSQL" backends like Redis, DynamoDB, or ElasticSearch.
Systems at Scale:
Proven ability to manage web architecture at scale (handling 20krpm and above).
Technical Leadership:
Experience breaking down large pieces of work and guiding implementation choices for a team of engineers.

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom
Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
The Role
As a Program Manager for our Operational Support team, you will lead the design and delivery of large-scale programmes across the SMB Hub — from structured engagement frameworks to communications and change initiatives — that keep the Hub's commercial priorities moving and measurable. As a Program Manager, you will work closely with Sales, New Partner Experience (NMX), Account Management and Partner Support leads to ensure the right initiatives land at the right time, applying a recognised delivery methodology to keep programmes on track.
This is an ideal role for an individual with strong project and time management skills who can manage multiple concurrent programmes end-to-end, while also designing long-term frameworks that drive lasting change across a large, fast-moving operation.
The Team
The SMB Hub brings together our commercial teams — Sales, New Partner Experience (NPX), Account Management and Partner Support — responsible for Deliveroo's relationships with thousands of independent restaurant and retail partners across Europe, supported through our in-house contact centre in Manchester and third-party providers.
The Operational Support team is the glue that holds the Hub together. Within the team, we own workforce management (WFM), commercial excellence, tooling and automation — and this role is central to delivering change, ensuring effective communication throughout the Hub, and driving commercial excellence for our partners and the Hub as a whole.
Core Responsibilities
Programme & Change Management
Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale SMB initiatives — from scoping and governance through to sign-off, communications and reporting — so senior teams can track commercial impact.
Apply a consistent, recognised methodology (PRINCE2 or Six Sigma) to give initiatives clear milestones, risk management and quality control.
Design and embed a structured engagement framework for the Hub, defining how initiatives are prioritised, resourced and measured.
Strategic Planning
Translate Hub priorities into actionable delivery plans that support commercial objectives, such as Ad revenue growth and partner adoption of Ads and Offers.
Monitor delivery and engagement metrics (e.g. Peakon, adoption rates) and use the insight to adjust plans, manage risk and support decision-making.
Collaborate with senior leadership across Sales, NMX and Account Management to align delivery capacity with Hub priorities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Own the SMB communications strategy — channel ownership, sequencing and accountability — to improve clarity and consistency of key messages.
Produce clear, structured reporting that translates operational detail into decisions for senior stakeholders.
Act as the conduit between Sales, NPX, Account Management, Partner Support and Ops, keeping a wide stakeholder group aligned and informed.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading delivery of the Hub's structured engagement framework, defining how initiatives are prioritised and measured.
Designing and implementing strategic communications and change initiatives, ensuring cross-functional alignment and coaching teams to embed new ways of working.
Applying PRINCE2 or Six Sigma to bring rigour, clear milestones and risk management to SMB programmes.
Delivering the Hub's career pathway and capability-building initiatives, connecting development and learning to progression.
Championing change and identifying new ways of working with Sales, NPX and Account Management to ensure agents have the right tools and content.
Partnering with the commercial excellence and central teams to build robust plans that drive change through better engagement, improved efficiency or increased capability.
Linking delivery directly to commercial outcomes, such as Ad revenue growth and partner adoption of Ads and Offers.
Identifying risks and inconsistencies before they affect delivery, escalating and problem-solving with appropriate autonomy.
What You'll Need to Thrive
This is a delivery-focused role that will require an individual who can manage a number of competing priorities across a live, fast-moving Hub while keeping sight of the bigger picture. The successful candidate will be structured, comfortable applying a recognised delivery methodology, and confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
The required skills include:
Strong project and programme management skills, ideally with a PRINCE2 or Six Sigma qualification (or clear demonstrable working knowledge)
Excellent time management — able to prioritise, sequence and protect delivery quality across multiple workstreams
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to flex style for different audiences, including senior stakeholders
Proven ability to lead and deliver complex plans against deadlines, with a clear prioritisation model
Comfortable working with data and metrics to track and evidence impact, not just activity
A collaborative approach; able to bring the right people together across functions and build trust quickly
The desired experiences include:
Typically 3+ years' experience in project or programme delivery, operations, or a comparable environment
Is either Six Sigma or Prince2 methodology (or equivalent) certified (Preferred)
Experience delivering communications, engagement or change initiatives at scale
Experience working within a commercial or contact-centre operating environment

Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
About the Team
It’s an exciting time to join our rapidly growing Accounting team with ample development opportunities. We're growing the Revenue Data team with Engineering and Accounting Data openings to drive automation and systems infrastructure. All whilst while keeping pace within one of the fastest growing marketplace companies globally.
About the Role
The Engineer for Accounting Infrastructure and Systems designs, builds, and maintains the scalable backend services, data pipelines, and integrations that power DoorDash / Deliveroo's accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting workflows. Working closely with Finance, Accounting, and fellow engineers, this role translates complex financial and regulatory requirements into reliable, automated systems that ensure accuracy, auditability, and compliance at scale. The ideal candidate brings strong distributed-systems and data engineering expertise along with a solid understanding of financial processes, and takes technical ownership of critical projects while mentoring junior engineers and helping shape the team's architecture and best practices.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
Take technical ownership of critical accounting infrastructure projects — designing and building the backend services, data pipelines, and integrations that power DoorDash's financial reporting, reconciliation, and close workflows at scale.
Partner directly with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into reliable, auditable, and automated systems.
Shape the team's architecture and engineering best practices, mentoring junior engineers and raising the technical bar across the organization.
Drive measurable improvements in data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and system performance in a high-impact, compliance-critical environment.
We're excited about you because…
You have 3 - 4+ years of experience in software or data engineering, with a strong track record of owning and delivering complex backend or data infrastructure projects.
You have deep expertise in distributed systems and data engineering, with hands-on experience in tools like Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, or similar modern data stack technologies.
You can navigate the intersection of engineering and finance — understanding concepts like revenue recognition, reconciliation, and auditability well enough to build systems that meet those requirements.
You have a collaborative, low-ego approach and can effectively partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, and Engineering.
Familiarity with SOX controls, data quality frameworks, or financial systems (e.g., NetSuite) is a strong plus.

As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at GitLab, you’ll help keep all user-facing services and production systems reliable, scalable, and efficient. Our SREs combine a pragmatic operations mindset with strong software engineering practices to drive automation, reduce toil, and improve resilience across our platform.
In the Environment Automation specialization, your focus is on operating and automating hundreds of GitLab environments—from initial provisioning to day-to-day maintenance tasks.
Unlike other SRE roles, this position centers on automating the lifecycle of many tenant environments, ensuring they remain secure, consistent, and reliable at scale.
Some examples of the projects you could work on:
Designing infrastructure automation that provisions and operates GitLab environments using Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes
Creating and maintaining deployment packages for GitLab, such as Helm Charts and omnibus-gitlab
Building and operating Dedicated GitLab instances integrated with cloud-native services (e.g., GCP, AWS)
Developing tools to orchestrate infrastructure-as-code workflows across multiple tenants
Deploying and managing microservices on Kubernetes clusters at scale
Enhancing GitLab’s observability stack (e.g., Prometheus, ELK) to support proactive monitoring and incident response
Integrating with and operating infrastructure in cloud provider ecosystems (e.g., IAM, networking, storage)
Championing and implementing cloud security best practices across automated infrastructure
What You’ll Do
Build & Scale Multi-Tenant Infrastructure:
Design and implement automation that provisions and manages hundreds of isolated GitLab environments using Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes. Manage complex state strategies and workspace configurations to support scale and maintainability.
Debug & Resolve Production Issues:
Troubleshoot issues across Kubernetes clusters, cloud services, and GitLab apps—identifying root causes of failed deployments, crash loops, and scheduling conflicts to ensure service continuity.
Automate Operations at Scale:
Replace manual workflows with infrastructure-as-code solutions, including automated version upgrades, configuration rollouts, and provisioning pipelines that operate reliably across all tenants.
Monitor & Predict Capacity:
Build observability systems that detect bottlenecks, predict usage trends, and optimize resource consumption using tools like Prometheus, ELK, and Grafana.
Respond & Lead During Incidents:
Lead incident response and postmortem efforts, applying technical depth to resolve issues and establish operational standards that reduce future risk.
Architect & Collaborate:
Influence architectural decisions around automation, scalability, and operational excellence. Partner with engineering teams to improve automation, platform resilience, and production-readiness.
What You’ll Bring
Production-Scale Experience:
Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot production workloads across multiple tenants or environments. Deep understanding of how distributed systems fail at scale and how to build in resilience.
Terraform & IaC Mastery:
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, including workspace strategies, state management, and automation patterns that scale. Comfortable solving state isolation issues and building reliable, reusable infrastructure code. Experience with Ansible and templating tools like Jsonnet is a plus.
Kubernetes in Production:
Skilled at diagnosing deployment failures, interpreting pod logs, and debugging scheduling issues and rollback scenarios in live environments. Understands how pods, ReplicaSets, and controllers interact in production.
Programming & Code Analysis:
Ability to read and debug code in Go and/or Ruby. Familiar with identifying performance issues, scalability concerns, and contributing to infrastructure tooling through thoughtful code analysis.
Large Scale Operations Background:
Experience supporting infrastructure for many customers or environments simultaneously. Comfortable managing isolation, scaling, monitoring, and incident response across diverse workloads.
Architecture & Incident Response:
Able to reason through complex systems and operational challenges. Brings on-call experience and can lead technical discussions and incident resolution efforts under pressure.
Customer-Focused Collaboration:
Proven ability to work across teams and with internal or external customers to solve technical problems while maintaining service commitments and clear communication.
GitLab Platform Proficiency:
Comfortable using GitLab as a daily tool for infrastructure automation, collaboration, and operational workflows.
About the team
GitLab’s Dedicated team, where the SRE Environment Automation role sits, is on a mission to deliver a fully managed, single-tenant GitLab experience through the GitLab Dedicated platform. Our goal is to eliminate manual operations across the entire lifecycle of customer environments, including provisioning, upgrades, security, and monitoring, so customers can focus on unlocking the full potential of The One DevOps Platform without managing the underlying infrastructure. We build scalable, automated systems that ensure each GitLab Dedicated instance is secure, consistent, and production-ready—whether we're managing 10 environments or hundreds.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL
You can be based in Europe; we're mainly remote and invite you to the Berlin office 3-5 days every two months.
We expect significant travel across the Europe, with occasional travel to other regions when the audience quality justifies it. The exact cadence will change with the event calendar, but you should expect travel to be a meaningful part of the job.
WHY THIS ROLE?
Langfuse has grown mostly through product-led, open-source adoption. We built a strong product, wrote useful docs and examples, stayed close to users, shipped in public, and helped developers understand how to build better AI applications.
However, many of the highest-signal moments happen in person: hallway conversations, workshops, meetups, dinners, conference demos, and technical talks.
We want someone who can own that motion end to end; put Langfuse in the right AI engineering rooms, make the product clear to technical audiences, and turn in-person conversations into durable marketing momentum.
The goal is not to do every event. The goal is to make the right events excellent, scalable, and measurable.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Represent Langfuse at conferences, meetups, workshops, customer events, partner events, and community gatherings across Europe
- Run live demos and technical sessions on tracing, evals, prompt management, datasets, metrics, and related LLM engineering workflows.
- Build and maintain field-ready material: demo flows, workshop runbooks, talk abstracts, event landing pages, follow-up emails, signup flows, and conference-in-a-box assets.
- Organize Langfuse-hosted meetups, workshops, dinners, and smaller technical gatherings around the highest-quality audiences.
- Partner with ClickHouse field marketing, sales, solutions, product marketing, and engineering teams where it helps Langfuse show up well.
- Turn event learnings into useful artifacts: better messaging, better demos, better docs, better talks, better customer stories, and sharper product feedback.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- You have worked in DevRel, product marketing engineering, solutions engineering, field engineering, developer advocacy, or technical community roles.
- You have spoken at developer conferences, meetups, workshops, webinars, or technical customer events.
- You already create technical content, demos, videos, talks, open source projects, or educational material.
- You should be excited to travel, give talks, run demos, host events, talk to developers and technical leaders, and bring what you learn back into the company.
- You care about developer experience, open source, AI engineering, and the quality of the rooms you spend time in.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and can independently decide what to do before there is a mature playbook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
A strong plus:
- You are a former engineer, or deeply technical operator who can credibly explain software to experienced developers.
- You can write code well enough to build, debug, and maintain demos or workshop material.
- You are deep in AI engineering, LLM observability, evals, agents, or developer tools.
- You have original opinions that experienced developers value.

WHY PRODUCT ENGINEERING AT LANGFUSE
Your work will have an outsized impact.
Everything you build is open source (MIT-licensed) and immediately visible. Langfuse has 35,000+ GitHub stars and our SDKs are downloaded more than a hundred million times per month. When you ship a new feature the community notices in GitHub issues, on X, and in our community channels.
Product engineers at Langfuse are the people who deliver new features end-to-end to our users. You own the product thinking from understanding the user problem to deciding what to build to shipping the solution.
You will also have direct exposure to how cutting-edge LLM applications are built. The users you serve are some of the best and most ambitious software engineers leveraging Langfuse to improve their applications. Deeply understanding the problems they solve will help you design the best possible product and along the way makes you an expert on LLM engineering yourself.
YOU WILL GROW AT LANGFUSE BY
- Own features end-to-end: from talking to users, to writing the spec, to shipping the code and docs, to writing the changelog post https://langfuse.com/changelog with your name on it. To give you a sense: recent features a single engineer owned include the Langfuse for Agents https://langfuse.com/changelog/2025-11-05-langfuse-for-agents release (new trace views, agent graphs, semantic span labels), the TypeScript SDK v4 https://langfuse.com/changelog/2025-08-28-typescript-sdk-v4-ga rewrite on OpenTelemetry, and managing dashboards via API/CLI/MCP https://langfuse.com/changelog/2026-07-17-dashboard-and-widget-operations-in-api.
- Work across the full stack: and we mean full. Our surface area is wide: React frontend, Next.js backend, ClickHouse analytics, Python and TypeScript SDKs, public docs, Terraform modules, and more. You'll touch whatever the feature needs. One week you might be writing a new ClickHouse query for cost analytics, the next you're designing an SDK API, the next you're building a new rust worker for faster data processing.
- Talk to users constantly: jump on calls, respond in community channels, and route support requests. At Langfuse, support is how we build conviction about what to build next. Our handbook says it best: support by engineers is a core value proposition.
- Write public documentation about the features you own. At Langfuse, docs are product.
- Ship publicly during Launch Weeks: we've run four Launch Weeks https://langfuse.com/blog/2025-10-29-launch-week-4 so far, dropping a new feature every day for a week. Engineers present the features they built to the community.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Someone who has built features or even entire products from scratch end-to-end
- Experience building and shipping user-facing products end-to-end, ideally in TypeScript/React and with exposure to data-intensive backends
- Someone who can manage projects themselves. You know how to develop strong conviction about what to build and how to ship it.
- Taste for great developer experience: you care about API design, UI details, and clear documentation
- Interest in open source software and genuine excitement about talking to developers about their problems
- Thrives in a small, accountable team where your output is visible and matters
- CS or quantitative degree preferred
Bonus points:
- Experience with ClickHouse, analytics databases, or building complex data visualizations
- Former founder or early startup experience
- Contributions to popular open source projects
- ML/AI background or familiarity with the LLM framework ecosystem
No candidate checks all boxes. If you feel you are a good fit for this role, please go ahead and apply.
