At WHOOP, we're on a mission to unlock and inspire performance for life.
WHOOP is seeking a Director, Security Engineering & Operations to lead the teams responsible for enterprise security engineering and security operations. Reporting directly to the CISO and serving as a senior member of the Security leadership team, this leader will shape strategy, lead a growing team of managers, engineers, and analysts, and drive measurable security outcomes across a fast-moving technology environment.
This is a leadership role for someone who has successfully scaled security operations in complex, high-growth environments and brings strong security engineering experience. The right leader combines strategic judgment with strong technical depth, staying close enough to the work to set a high bar for engineering quality, guide critical technical decisions, and lead effectively through significant security events.
This leader will play a significant role in shaping the team, operating model, and technical roadmap as WHOOP scales, advancing capabilities across security engineering, detection and response, incident management, security automation, identity, cloud, endpoint, SaaS, data protection, and other enterprise security domains.
As WHOOP expands its use of AI across member-facing products, internal technology, and engineering, and continues to evolve its capabilities in health, this leader will help ensure security scales alongside the company's technology, data, regulatory, and threat landscape.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Security Engineering and Security Operations, defining strategy, priorities, technical standards, performance expectations, and measurable outcomes across both functions.
- Advance a risk and threat-informed detection and response program that connects priority threat scenarios to the telemetry, detections, investigation capabilities, response procedures, and operational controls required to address them, including identity-centric, data protection, and insider risk scenarios.
- Lead security incident readiness and response, including escalation, incident command for significant events, cross-functional coordination, post-incident review, and accountability for follow-up actions.
- Guide the engineering and operationalization of preventive and detective security controls across identity, endpoint, cloud, SaaS, infrastructure, data, AI-enabled systems, and other high-value enterprise environments, while setting a high bar for technical design, testing, documentation, maintainability, and lifecycle management.
- Lead the security strategy and engineering approach for AI-enabled products and enterprise AI adoption, including access controls, sensitive data handling, model and application security, third-party integrations, tool and agent permissions, monitoring, auditability, and secure use of AI across the company.
- Drive an outcome-oriented approach to security technology and managed services, maximizing the effectiveness of existing capabilities, making disciplined decisions about when to automate, build, buy, or use external partners, and holding security partners accountable to measurable outcomes.
- Drive disciplined execution across the security engineering and operations portfolio through effective prioritization, roadmap and backlog management, capacity planning, metrics, ownership, and operating cadence.
- Lead, coach, and develop managers, engineers, and analysts, setting clear expectations for technical quality, judgment, ownership, execution, and professional growth.
- Strengthen collaboration across Product Security, Security Architecture, Platform, Fraud, Engineering, IT, GRC, Legal, Privacy, and other business functions, creating clear ownership and effective operating relationships across organizational boundaries.
- Partner with the CISO on organizational design, workforce planning, hiring, and development of the capabilities required as the Security organization evolves, while providing clear, data-driven communication on security posture, operational performance, significant risks, and strategic priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of experience in information security, with deep experience in Security Operations and meaningful experience across Security Engineering in complex technology environments.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, including multiple years managing managers and senior technical individual contributors. This is not a first-time people leadership role. Demonstrated strength in hiring, coaching, performance management, organizational design, and raising the bar for team quality and execution.
- Deep technical expertise in detection engineering, SIEM and telemetry strategy, incident response, and modern security operations, including experience leading significant security incidents.
- Proven ability to drive disciplined execution across priorities, roadmaps, backlogs, metrics, and ownership, while maximizing existing capabilities before introducing additional technology.
- Experience managing MDR, MSSP, or similar security partners and holding them accountable to measurable operational outcomes.
- Experience securing AI-enabled products, enterprise AI adoption, or AI development environments, including risks related to sensitive data, models, agents, third-party services, access, and monitoring.
- Strong judgment and relationship-building skills, with a track record of working effectively across technical, product, risk, legal, and senior leadership teams.
- Experience in health technology or another sensitive-data environment is a plus.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Senior HR Operations Specialist to help build and scale the people infrastructure behind a rapidly growing, global organization.
This role sits between day-to-day HR administration and HR Operations leadership. While our HR Coordinator supports routine administrative tasks and employee requests, the HR Operations Specialist will own more complex operational workflows, HR systems, benefits and payroll coordination, compliance processes, and process improvement.
You’ll work closely with HR, Finance, Legal, IT, and external partners to ensure our People operations are accurate, scalable, and built to support continued growth.
We’re looking for a strong operator who can take ownership of a problem, understand how the pieces connect, and build a better process—not someone who simply follows an existing checklist.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
HR OPERATIONS & EMPLOYEE LIFECYCLE
- Manage more complex employee changes, including compensation updates, promotions, employment status changes, transfers, and organizational changes.
- Partner with managers and cross-functional teams to resolve employee lifecycle issues and operational escalations.
- Develop scalable workflows, documentation, and controls as the company grows.
HR SYSTEMS, DATA & AUTOMATION
- Design and improve workflows, automations, permissions, custom fields, reporting, and system configurations.
- Maintain strong data integrity and establish processes for regularly auditing employee information.
- Build reporting and dashboards for headcount, employee changes, benefits, and other People metrics.
- Identify manual processes that can be automated or eliminated.
- Partner with IT, Finance, and other teams on integrations and system improvements.
FINANCE PARTNER AND BENEFITS OPERATIONS
- Partner with Finance and payroll providers to ensure employee changes are accurately reflected in payroll.
- Support the administration and ongoing improvement of employee benefits programs.
- Coordinate open enrollment, qualifying life events, employee eligibility changes, and carrier/vendor processes.
- Manage operational relationships with benefits and HR vendors and help troubleshoot escalated issues.
- Build processes and controls that improve payroll and benefits accuracy as headcount grows.
COMPLIANCE & GLOBAL OPERATIONS
- Support HR compliance requirements across the employee lifecycle, including required documentation, recordkeeping, and employment changes.
- Partner with Legal and external advisors on HR compliance initiatives.
- Support state registrations and other operational requirements associated with employing people across multiple jurisdictions.
- Help manage operational processes for international employees, contractors, and global employment partners.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready HR records and documentation.
- Identify compliance or process risks and escalate them appropriately.
PROCESS DESIGN & OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
- Build and maintain HR playbooks, SOPs, workflows, and internal documentation.
- Evaluate existing processes and redesign them to be more efficient, scalable, and employee-friendly.
- Establish clear ownership and handoffs between HR, Recruiting, Finance, IT, Legal, and managers.
- Create controls and checkpoints for high-risk HR processes.
- Use data and operational trends to identify recurring issues and recommend solutions.
- Take ownership of HR Operations projects from problem identification through implementation.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of experience in HR Operations, People Operations, or a similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of core U.S. HR operations, including payroll, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, employee changes, and compliance.
- Hands-on experience administering and improving an HRIS; experience with Rippling is a plus.
- Experience building or improving HR workflows rather than solely executing established processes.
- Strong systems orientation and comfort working with HR data, reporting, and automation.
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly when working with payroll, compensation, benefits, and employee data.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to independently investigate issues, identify root causes, and drive them through resolution.
- Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing environment where processes are still being built.
Compensation & Benefits:
- We offer a competitive and thoughtfully structured compensation package designed to align with impact, experience, and long-term growth.
- Base Salary: The anticipated salary range for this role is $120,000 – $180,000, depending on experience, skills, scope, and location.
- Equity: In addition to cash compensation, employees are eligible to participate in the company’s stock option program and share in Higgsfield AI’s long-term growth.
- Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees professionally and personally, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a competitive 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, and additional benefits and perks.
- The opportunity to work on ambitious AI products alongside a highly experienced, fast-moving, and international team.
- Significant ownership, direct impact, and opportunities for professional growth as the company scales.
This is a hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Team members are expected to work from our San Francisco office three full days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely and are expected to be available during agreed working hours and to maintain sufficient overlap with the relevant team’s time zone. We value in-person collaboration, active communication, responsiveness, and close partnership across teams.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
At Ramp, people are the single biggest lever on our trajectory, and the bar for who joins this team gets higher every quarter, not lower. We are hiring our first dedicated Recruiter for GTM Expansion, based in London: someone who can map a market, identify the operators who will outperform their peers and run a full-cycle process that wins them.
The UK is the immediate mandate. You will partner with local and US-based leaders to turn an ambitious growth plan into a real commercial team, from first conversation through offer close. You will also help us build the recruiting approach, market knowledge and candidate networks that support Ramp's expansion into new GTM markets over time.
The recruiters who do this best combine craft on the front end, research, identification and calibration, with execution on the back end, closing, candidate experience and pipeline discipline. We are looking for both.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Own full-cycle recruiting for priority GTM Expansion hiring, starting with UK roles across Sales, Solutions Consulting, Partnerships and Customer Success.
• Build a sharp point of view on the UK market and future expansion markets: the companies producing strong talent, the people who outperform their peers and the communities that matter.
• Use research, data and AI as part of your everyday craft to identify and qualify exceptional candidates. We expect a written market point of view, not just a slate of profiles.
• Run thoughtful, personalised outreach grounded in the candidate's actual background, commercial motion or recent work. We care more about quality, replies and conversion than send volume.
• Partner with GTM leaders to turn ambitious hiring plans into a clear profile, credible process and realistic compensation strategy. Surface hard market truth early and push back constructively when needed.
• Own the candidate experience from first conversation through offer close: fast follow-up, clear communication, strong process discipline and a tailored closing plan for the candidates we most want.
• Build real presence for Ramp in London through the right relationships, referrals and targeted community activity. The point is pipeline and credibility, not events for their own sake.
• Work tightly with the wider GTM Recruiting team on calibration, sourcing support, insight and operating rhythm, while bringing strong local judgment.
• Help improve how Ramp recruits for expansion by capturing what works in the UK and applying it thoughtfully as we enter new markets.
WHAT YOU NEED
• 5+ years of full-cycle GTM or Sales recruiting experience, ideally in a high-growth technology company where quality and pace both mattered.
• Strong knowledge of the UK technology talent market and a credible local network, or clear evidence that you can build one quickly.
• A track record of finding and closing exceptional people, not simply running inherited processes. You can point to candidates you identified who became strong hires.
• Excellent sourcing and research instincts. You can explain why someone is genuinely differentiated, not only that they have the right title at the right company.
• Experience hiring across several GTM functions, such as AEs, Sales Leadership, Solutions Consulting, Partnerships, Customer Success or RevOps.
• Strong candidate-closing judgment. You listen closely, understand what each candidate is weighing and can build conviction against serious alternatives.
• The confidence to influence senior leaders, challenge a mis-scoped search and make a hiring process better without creating unnecessary friction.
• Comfort using data to understand funnel health, diagnose problems and hold an honest conversation about what needs to change.
• High ownership. You book the next step while you have the candidate, chase what is stuck and do not wait for a detailed brief to get useful work moving.
• Specific, sharp written communication. Your outreach and candidate updates should never feel template-driven.
NICE TO HAVE
• Experience recruiting for a fintech, SaaS, infrastructure or similarly complex B2B product.
• Experience joining a company as the first recruiter in a new geography, or helping to scale an international business.
• Experience building an AI-augmented recruiting research workflow.
WHY THIS ROLE
You will have unusual ownership over one of Ramp's most important growth priorities, with the support of an established Talent team rather than the isolation of a one-person recruiting function. The work is practical and high impact: build the UK commercial team, help leaders make better hiring decisions and raise the bar for how Ramp recruits as it enters new markets.

Day to day, you will monitor the threat landscape, coordinate Tenable's end-to-end security response process when a major vulnerability breaks, write the blogs and advisories that follow, and then turn around and ask "what does the data tell us about where we should focus next?" You will work across Research, Public Relations, Marketing, Product, and Program Management to coordinate and deliver actionable business results.
This is a strong fit for someone who wants hands-on security research balanced with the analytical, process-improvement work that shapes how a research organization operates.
Your Opportunity:
Security Response
Monitor the threat landscape, track high-profile events in real time, and research the impact of emerging and existing vulnerabilities
Champion and drive the Security Response process end to end: brief internal stakeholders, coordinate product coverage across engineering teams, arm PR and community channels with current threat information, and maintain continuous cross-functional engagement throughout an event
Create and refine technical content including blogs, whitepapers, advisories, conference presentations, and webinars for identified security events
Respond to media inquiries and customer-driven events as they occur
Automate the discovery and triage of high-profile events from open-source channels, vendor advisories, and internal telemetry
Synthesize emergent threat and vulnerability intelligence into actionable items for the appropriate team backlogs
Decision Science Operations
Partner with Research leadership to design and execute data-driven frameworks for development and coverage prioritization
Collaborate with research and product teams to deliver richer contextual intelligence for identified vulnerabilities
Build and maintain operational dashboards and analytical workflows that surface trends across the threat and vulnerability landscape
Provide analytical support and timely insights to internal stakeholders to inform product and business decisions
What You'll Need:
Ability to work in a hybrid/on-site capacity at Tenable headquarters in Columbia, MD
B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Operations Research, or a related discipline or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience
4+ years of programming and scripting experience (Python, SQL, or comparable)
Strong working knowledge of common security vulnerabilities, CVSS scoring, vulnerability detection, exploitation techniques, and classification methodologies
Experience with data analytics platforms and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau) and with Python data-science tooling (Jupyter, pandas, etc.)
Familiarity with internet-facing asset discovery and search platforms such as Shodan and Censys
Broad understanding of infrastructure fundamentals: networking, common protocols, services, and the general technology landscape
Demonstrated ability to write technical blogs, whitepapers, and research papers, and to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, prioritize competing demands, and set expectations with stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable coordinating across highly distributed, cross-functional teams
Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision while contributing as a collaborative member of the broader research team
Comfort with agile methodologies and fast-paced, event-driven work
And Ideally:
Experience with security response, incident coordination, or vulnerability disclosure processes
Background in exposure management, threat intelligence, or CTEM program support
Experience building automated data pipelines or integrating intelligence feeds Public speaking experience at security conferences (e.g., BSides, RSA, Black Hat)
