ABOUT AVOCA
Avoca is transforming how home service companies engage with their customers. Our AI-powered conversational agents handle every high-value inbound call, from booking jobs, qualifying leads, and driving higher revenue, all at a speed and consistency unmatched by human call centers.
We're a Series B startup backed by Kleiner Perkins, Meritech Capital, General Catalyst, and other top-tier investors, with $125M raised and a $1B valuation. We grew 10x in 2025 and have scaled to 170+ employees in under two years across our NYC headquarters and Santa Barbara office.
In a $1T+ market where 85% of missed calls go to competitors, we're building the category-defining platform for AI-driven customer engagement, serving the largest brands in home services. With high-energy, in-office teams in both locations, every hire here has an immediate and visible impact.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an Agent Product Manager to own one of our core product lines and drive it from discovery through deployment.
This is not a generalist PM role. You'll go deep on a specific product area, working directly with engineering, design partners, and customers to understand what needs to be built, why, and how to ship it in a way that scales. You'll be the connective tissue between customer reality and engineering execution, synthesizing feedback from CSMs, TAMs, and customers into clear, actionable product requirements.
The best fit here is someone who obsesses over product longevity, not just individual customer happiness, and who can build rapidly, think in systems, and translate ambiguity into clear direction.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Product Line Strategy
- Own one or more product lines end-to-end, from discovery through delivery and iteration
- Define product roadmaps grounded in real deployment data and customer feedback, not feature requests
- Prioritize ruthlessly between customer-specific asks and platform-wide improvements
- Establish clear boundaries on what the product can and cannot do, and ensure sales and CS teams understand them
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Bridge the gap between sales promises and engineering reality, guide sales on which features to pitch, which customer profiles to target, and what realistic timelines look like
- Work with engineering to shift from one-off custom builds to iterative, productized solutions
- Collaborate with support to build self-service tooling that eliminates manual configuration bottlenecks
- Own the feedback loop: ensure customer insights reach engineering as structured product requirements, not ad hoc requests
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 3 to 6 years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or AI-enabled products
- Strong ability to synthesize qualitative customer feedback into structured, engineering-ready requirements
- Experience working directly with customers or design partners in a product capacity
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and competing priorities across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams
- Familiarity with AI, LLMs, or conversational AI systems, or a strong ability to ramp quickly
- Outcome-driven: you measure success in shipped impact, not process followed
- Low ego, high energy, resilient in a fast-paced environment
- Bonus: experience with enterprise deployments, multi-location operators, or platform infrastructure
- Eagerness to work in person with us in NYC full time
BENEFITS
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Company-sponsored 401(k) through Vestwell
- Flexible PTO plus U.S. federal holidays
- Daily in-office lunch through Parkday
- Monthly wellness stipend
- Dinner covered when working late
- Commuter benefits
- Standing desks and workspace accommodations available on request
- All core tools and software provided
WHY AVOCA
At Avoca, you’ll be part of a team that’s building a category-defining company at the center of a massive market opportunity. We’re a fast-moving, collaborative team with a culture designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and impact.
Avoca provides equal employment opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability.

Support the implementation of the organizational data strategy, including database design standards, data warehouse architecture, standards and guidance, and analytics platform integration
Assist with the deployment and extension of the Enterprise Data Catalogue
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of architecture processes and documentation standards
Partner closely with project teams as an embedded contributor, guiding schema design, physical design choices (e.g., indexing and partitioning), data access patterns, and query optimization best practices, supporting teams through design reviews and delivery
Advise project teams on the end-to-end data product lifecycle, from platform selection through testing and implementation
Govern changes to architectural artefacts and ensure systems conform to established data architecture guidelines
Define data flows and integration patterns across applications and services, including operational systems, streams, and analytical platforms (batch and real-time), with clear ownership and information dissemination patterns
Main requirements:
BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in data modelling, data engineering, database design, or data architecture roles.
Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling, with solid SQL skills to bring designs to life.
Proficiency in Python for data-related work (e.g., automation, prototyping, analysis, validation, data quality checks, and tooling around data pipelines/integrations).
Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and modern data warehouse or lakehouse architectures
Good understanding of software development lifecycles, requirements analysis, and technical design best practices.
A collaborative mindset, with the ability to build trusted relationships across business and technical teams.
Exposure to data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks, with an appreciation for well-managed data.
Confidence in advising on ETL/ELT patterns, data integration solutions, and data orchestration technologies.
Experience in graph databases, vector databases/semantic search capabilities, feature stores, or related ML/AI data architectures would be considered a plus.
A proactive, self-driven professional who thrives in agile environments and enjoys shaping scalable data solutions.
