PlanetScale is growing rapidly and reinventing the database space. Our database platform offers developers the fastest and most reliable Postgres and Vitess/MySQL databases, enabling businesses to efficiently handle data and workloads of all sizes.
PlanetScale is backed with over $100M in venture financing from top-tier VCs including a16z, Kleiner Perkins, SignalFire, and Insight Venture Partners. And we serve some of the most innovative companies in the world such as Block, Anysphere (Cursor), MyFitnessPal, Etsy, Kick, and thousands more. Our customers entrust us with what is often their most precious digital asset, their data, so the stakes couldn't be higher.
We're looking for a Brand Designer to help shape and evolve the visual identity of PlanetScale across all touchpoints. In this role, you'll be a key member of our Marketing team, translating complex technical concepts into compelling visual stories that resonate with developers and technical decision-makers. You'll craft everything from in-person event experiences to web graphics, merch designs, and creative website assets that make databases feel exciting.
What's the job to be done?
Visual Brand Development
Design web graphics including technical diagrams, illustrations, and interactive visual assets that simplify complex database concepts.
Create compelling visual systems for campaigns, product launches, and marketing initiatives.
Design for multiple formats and contexts: digital, print, experiential, and merchandise.
In-Person Experiences
Design booth graphics, signage, and environmental branding for conferences, meetups, and community events.
Collaborate with the events team to create memorable, on-brand experiences that stand out
Design merch that developers actually want to wear and use.
Create branded collateral including banners, posters, stickers, and promotional materials.
Website and Digital Assets
Design creative website components and landing pages.
Design data visualizations and technical diagrams that make complex information accessible.
Create social media graphics, blog post imagery, and other digital marketing assets.
Develop templates and design systems that enable the team to move quickly.
Brand Evolution
Collaborate with marketing leadership to evolve and expand the PlanetScale brand identity.
Explore new visual directions while maintaining brand coherence.
Document design decisions and maintain brand guidelines.
These attributes best describe you.
A strong portfolio demonstrating versatile design skills across digital, print, and experiential design.
Deep understanding of design fundamentals: typography, color, composition, and visual hierarchy.
You've figured out where AI actually helps in a design workflow and built process around it.
Comfortable working in both brand and production modes. You can think big picture and execute in the details.
Strong communication skills with the ability to both articulate design decisions and understand direction.
Self-directed and able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Collaborative spirit with the ability to incorporate feedback while maintaining creative vision.
What else will help you be successful.
Experience designing for technical or developer-focused brands.
Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design tools.
Comfortable using AI to build a working first draft of a page rather than handing off a static mockup.
Understanding of design systems and component-based thinking.
Enthusiasm for learning about databases, infrastructure, and developer tools.
Why PlanetScale
We're redefining how high-growth companies manage data at scale—and we work with some of the most exciting brands in gaming, consumer tech, and B2B SaaS. As a Brand Designer, you'll help shape how developers and engineering leaders perceive and interact with PlanetScale, translating the power of our platform into visual experiences that inspire and inform. PlanetScale is a profitable company with a philosophy centered around building small teams of p99 individuals and is recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in America.
At PlanetScale we believe in supporting people to do their best work and thrive no matter the location. Our mission is to build a diverse, equitable, and inclusive company. We strive to build an inclusive environment where all people feel that they are equally respected and valued, whether they are a candidate or an employee. We welcome applicants of any educational background, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, citizenship, socioeconomic status, disability, pregnancy status, and veteran status.
If you have a disability, please let us know if there's any way we can make the interview process better for you; we're happy to accommodate!
Total Compensation and Pay Transparency
An employee's total compensation consists of base salary + benefits + equity. A member of our Talent Acquisition team will be happy to answer any further questions when we engage with you to begin the interview process.
Base salary range:
$170,000 - $220,000 USD
Location: San Francisco, CA or Remote, US
Platform owns the
foundation
the company runs on: compute and deployment, reliability and on-call, CI/CD and monorepo health, developer environments, the infrastructure that model training and inference run on, and the security boundaries around all of it.
AI and agent tooling is the clearest example. You will contribute to how models are trained and served here, as well as how agents work inside our codebase: the environments they run in, the verification that makes their output trustworthy, and the review paths that keep it all legible. There is no industry standard and you’ll help form our opinions rather than inheriting one.
Our users are other engineers. Expect to spend time with all the other engineering teams, understanding their needs and building a roadmap. The scope is large, so you'll be choosing what to leave alone as much as build.
Architecture decisions here last: this is a small team covering a large surface. You'll have real room to decide things, and you'll stay close to the systems you decide about.
What you'll own
Own our platform:
GCP, Kubernetes, Temporal, the GPU fleet behind cloud export, and the deploy and rollback machinery everything ships through. You'll be in the on-call rotation, and we'll expect you to make it quieter and more actionable.
The AI enablement substrate:
GPU capacity, training and inference pipelines, and the reliability and cost of the systems serving models in production.
Cost is an engineering constraint:
infrastructure decisions have a number attached and you're expected to make smart trade-offs. As inference grows with usage, the metering and attribution behind those numbers sit with this team.
Security comes with the systems you run
: identity and access, secrets management, least-privilege boundaries, and supply-chain integrity.
Make what you build legible.
Infrastructure-as-code that explains itself. Runbooks and in-repo context written for someone jumping in to help. Observability that tells you what failed and why.
Improve how the team learns and ships.
Form hypotheses, instrument your work, release incrementally, and read results honestly. Strengthen the tooling, standards, tests, observability, and release practices that help the team move quickly without compromising quality.
Raise the team’s technical ambition.
Provide architectural direction, thoughtful reviews, mentoring, and clear human writing.
What you bring
Required:
You have 8+ years building and operating production distributed systems, or equivalent server-side engineering with a heavy infrastructure focus.
You effectively leverage agents to multiply your impact and think critically about how and when to harness AI in your work.
You've run systems where failure was expensive, and your opinions about reliability and deployment come from consequences rather than reading.
You've carried a pager, commanded an incident, and rolled back before you understood why.
You use SLOs and error budgets as operating tools.
You’ve used a major cloud provider and Kubernetes in production, with infrastructure-as-code as your default.
You've owned an architecture or migration, from planning through launch, whose consequences outlived the project, and you can say what you'd do differently.
You've found important unowned work, scoped it, earned buy-in, and delivered it without being handed a spec.
You build a minimal repro, read the logs, and write targeted checks to prove a fix works instead of trusting output.
Experience that helps:
GPU and ML infrastructure:
capacity planning, training or inference pipelines, serving cost and latency. If you haven't run a GPU fleet, experience with expensive capacity-constrained systems transfers well.
Production security engineering:
IAM, secrets, supply chain, least privilege. You don't need to have held a security title, but you should have owned these boundaries for systems you ran.
Cloud cost modeling:
commitment strategy, reservations, unit economics.
CI/CD:
at monorepo scale, and developer-environment work.
Intricacies of Video:
Media, video, or GPU-backed workloads.
Small teams owning a large surface:
whether at a Series B to D company or on an internal platform team.
Descript is a startup. We’re especially interested in working with engineers who use the product and are aligned with our mission. To that end, we promise to review any application that includes a share link to a Descript video. The video can be about anything - your career, a favorite game or movie, a discarded audition tape for Love Island. If you take the time to make something in Descript, we’ll commit to having a human watch it and review your application. 🤝
Compensation and benefits
Base salary: $220,000 to $292,000, plus equity and benefits. Final offer amounts will carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, location, and level, and may vary from the amount above.

About Descript
Descript is building a simple, intuitive, fully-powered editing tool for video and audio — an editing tool built for the age of AI. We are a team of 150 and the backing of some of the world's greatest investors (
OpenAI
,
Andreessen Horowitz
,
Redpoint Ventures
,
Spark Capital
).
Descript is the special company that's in possession of both product market fit and the raw materials (passionate user community, great product, large market) for growth, but is still early enough that each new employee has a measurable influence on the direction of the company.
Benefits include a generous healthcare package, 401k matching program, catered lunches, and flexible vacation time.
Our headquarters
are located in the Mission District of San Francisco, CA. We're hiring for a mix of remote roles and hybrid roles. For those who are remote, we have a handful of opportunities throughout the year for in person collaboration. For our hybrid roles, we're flexible, and you're an adult—we don't expect or mandate that you're in the office every day. We do believe there are valuable and serendipitous moments of discovery and collaboration that come from working together in person.
Descript is an equal opportunity workplace—we are dedicated to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status. We believe in actively building a team rich in diverse backgrounds, experiences, and opinions to better allow our employees, products, and community to thrive.

Our customers entrust us with what is often their most precious digital asset, their data, so the stakes couldn't be higher. We're looking for early members of our Sales team that can form deep partnerships with our prospects and customers to help them adopt and succeed on the next generation of database infrastructure.
We host the databases behind companies like Cash App, Intercom, and Cursor. In other words: important databases.
We’re hiring a dedicated outbound SDR. You won’t inherit a dusty playbook assembled in 2017 and be told to “just add personalization.” You’ll help us build an AI-native outbound motion from the ground up. You’ll work with modern tools, help create the playbook, and have input into how we build outbound from here. This role is for someone who wants to sell, experiment, automate repetitive work, and learn how great infrastructure companies go to market.
If that sounds exciting, and slightly intimidating, that’s probably a good sign!
What ‘s the job to be done?
Find promising companies that should be using PlanetScale, but aren’t yet.
Research their architecture, growth, and likely infrastructure problems.
Build creative outbound campaigns using tools like Claude and Clay.
Talk to engineers and technical leaders without immediately saying, “Let me bring in someone technical.”
Turn interest into real pipeline: a mapped buyer, an actual problem, and a reason to solve it now.
Help determine what works, what doesn’t, and what we should scale.
These attributes describe you.
You have 1+ year of quota-carrying SDR or BDR experience.
You’ve consistently hit your number.
You’re early in your career, ambitious, and learning quickly.
You already use AI to improve how you work—not just to rewrite emails with the word “delve.”
You can show us something you built with Claude, Clay, or another AI tool and explain how it made you better or faster.
When you encounter repetitive work, your first thought is, “Could a robot do this?”
You’re curious about databases, infrastructure, and how modern AI companies are built.
You actively seek feedback rather than treating it as a personal attack.
What you will need.
Not literal points. We do not have a leaderboard. But these will help:
You’ve sold to engineers, platform teams, or infrastructure buyers.
You’ve worked in developer tools, infrastructure, or open source.
You’ve used Clay, Unify, Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, or Salesforce.
You’ve worked somewhere with a real outbound playbook and know which parts are worth keeping.
You can explain what a database does without checking Wikipedia first.

Product engineering at Descript means owning outcomes, not just tickets — you'll take a problem from a rough idea to a shipped, measured result, working closely with product, design, and the rest of engineering along the way. We organize around a few teams, each responsible for a distinct part of the product:
Editor:
owns our video editor. Help make traditionally complex video-editing workflows simpler, craft cutting-edge AI into practical creative tools, and build on our vision of turning a text-editor for video into a tool that puts video in everyone's communication toolkit.
Growth & Monetization:
owns onboarding and activation, growth loops and in-product experiments, plans and pricing, checkout, billing, and AI credits. Help turn visitors into customers and customers into revenue.
Media:
owns project and media management (plus importing, managing, manipulating, compositing, transitions, shaders, visual and audio effects, rendering, exporting, and more!).
AI:
owns our agentic co-editor, Underlord, and the external API that allows it to scale. Help improve Underlord's harness to enhance its powers, polish its UX and editor integration, and add more capability to our API to unleash Underlord on the world.
Regardless of your team you’ll have the opportunity to design thoughtful full-stack systems that work reliably and deliver value to new and existing users.
What You’ll Do
Own meaningful product surfaces end to end.
Take problems from definition through design, implementation, launch, measurement, and maintenance. Improve core Editor workflows, shape the self-serve journey from signup through renewal, or help make Underlord more sentient.
Shape the product, not just the implementation.
Partner with Product and Design to propose better interactions, expose constraints, choose the right metrics, and find simpler paths to user outcomes.
Build ambitious full-stack systems with care.
Create responsive, reliable experiences. Stretch from TypeScript and React to NodeJS and Temporal to first and third party integrations to get the job done.
Required:
You have 5+ years of experience building and shipping customer-facing products, including end-to-end features that measurably improved user or business outcomes.
You effectively leverage agents to multiply your impact and think critically about how to better harness AI in your work.
You’ve owned features/experiments end to end, from planning through launch, and leveraged analytics and metrics to evaluate impact.
You orient quickly in unfamiliar systems by exploring and asking thoughtful questions to both your teammates and agents.
You care about how software feels and notice when the technically correct result is still wrong for the user.
You create clarity in ambiguous work and can navigate (and simplify!) significant product and technical complexity.
You validate your work rigorously through focused reproductions, logs, tests, and other evidence rather than trusting that the output looks right.
Experience that helps:
Similar Products:
Work on an editor, media product, creative tool, or payment system (like Stripe).
Our Stack:
TypeScript, HTML/CSS, React, Redux, Node.js, API design, Temporal Workflows, and SQL. But we obviously live in a post stack world. We just rewrote our media engine in Rust. None of us knows Rust.
Crafting with AI:
Building an agent or experimenting with media-generation models.
Experimentation/Analytics Experience:
We like people who know how to measure their success through experimentation and product analytics.
Intricacies of Video:
Shaders, graphics rendering, audio/visual effects, and media formats.

PlanetScale is growing rapidly and reinventing the database space. The PlanetScale platform offers both Postgres and Vitess clusters. Vitess, an open-source database clustering system for horizontal scaling of MySQL, enables businesses to efficiently handle large-scale data workloads — without sacrificing developer experience.
Our customers entrust us with what is often their most precious digital asset, their data, so the stakes couldn’t be higher. We’re looking for a Customer Support Engineer to help developers and businesses get the most out of PlanetScale, resolve issues quickly, and build the support function that helps us scale.
What’s the job to be done?
You will advise and handle support requests from customers and developers on the PlanetScale platform.
You will respond to, debug, and resolve customer support issues through support tickets, customer Slack channels, public discussions, and other support channels.
You will help customers understand how to use PlanetScale effectively, including how to reason about queries, schema changes, application behavior, database connectivity, and production workflows.
You will create and improve internal and external documentation, support playbooks, troubleshooting guides, and customer-facing materials.
You will identify product gaps and recurring sources of customer friction, then work with Engineering to prioritize improvements.
You will contribute to the systems, processes, and practices that help PlanetScale deliver excellent developer-focused support at scale.
These attributes best describe you…
You are customer-focused, empathetic, and clear in how you communicate, while knowing when to push back in ways that help customers become successful on their own.
You have excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the curiosity and persistence to follow issues across applications, databases, infrastructure, and product behavior.
You are comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone. Whether that means reading unfamiliar application code, digging into database behavior, testing a new framework, or learning a connector you haven’t used before, you’re willing to go where the problem leads.
You are a self-starting, enthusiastic individual who takes responsibility for outcomes and wants to make a meaningful impact on the business.
You can operate independently, but you know when to ask for help and how to bring the right people into an issue.
You are highly organized and able to operate in ambiguous or changing situations.
You are data-driven, team-oriented, and comfortable communicating across many audiences.
You enjoy working cross-functionally and translating customer pain into actionable product, documentation, and process improvements.
What you will need
Experience supporting production applications, databases, developer tools, infrastructure, or other technical products.
Working knowledge of SQL, preferably with experience in MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
Strong debugging skills and the ability to reason through application and database behavior.
Programming experience. You will not be programming full-time, but you should be comfortable reading and navigating unfamiliar code to understand customer issues.
Experience with common application frameworks, ORMs, database connectors, or application deployment patterns.

About our values:
Think deeper: We understand that in order to grow we need to make all our decisions reality-based and change our opinion based on what we learn. We appreciate data coming in various forms – quantitative and qualitative, feedback from users and colleagues, and strong and weak signals. We treat data as the main source for leveraging insights and expect people at every level to have conversations that start with data.
Focus on impact: Results and speed matter. When we are competing to become an A-player in the digital health market, we don’t have the luxury of deliberation. We need to make decisions and changes quickly and, swiftly learn from our mistakes. We prioritize what will have the greatest impact and aren’t distracted by anything else. We create products that benefit users while we are meeting our metrics.
Take ownership: We seek to improve all facets of our company even in ways beyond our job description. We seek and take responsibility for our actions and their impact. We value and set high expectations for our own work so that it can add to the overall quality and innovation results of the team. Each one of us is empowered to make this company a success, take the lead to resolve disagreements and systemic issues.
Push the limits: We encourage our team to explore new ideas, challenge conventional thinking, and continuously improve work. This mindset can lead to breakthroughs in product development, improved operational efficiency, and increased competitiveness in the market. We believe that a culture and mindset of constantly striving to exceed existing standards, boundaries, or expectations that include innovation, experimentation, and a willingness to take risks, can bring us success. We don't accept what someone says as truth if we disagree with it, no matter what authority that person has in the company and express ourselves directly, not through channels. We challenge ideas, from policy to product decisions, and always seek to understand the reason behind what we do.
Be a Championship Team: As a part of the championship team, you must improve your own performance constantly also know your teammates, their talents and skills and be focused on a common goal and how to achieve it together. We hold each other accountable for our contribution to the shared success or failure, and we constantly look for ways to help our colleagues to improve and for us to perform better as a team. We collaborate within the team in order to compete with challengers in the outside world. We build relationships of trust. We provide our teammates with the autonomy and support they need to deliver their part of the goal.

PlanetScale is growing rapidly and reinventing the database space. The PlanetScale platform offers both PostgreSQL and Vitess clusters. Vitess is an open-source database clustering system for horizontal scaling of MySQL that enables businesses to efficiently handle large-scale data workloads — without sacrificing developer experience. We're bringing the same scaling power to PostgreSQL with Neki, our sharded PostgreSQL product.
We're hiring a software engineer to build the internal tools that run PlanetScale. You'll automate the manual work that slows a growing company down: incident response, on-call, support workflows, onboarding, and the dozens of other small things that take up our time.
Location
This role is in-office only at our San Francisco headquarters. You must already live in the SF Bay Area and be able to work from the office most days.
This is not a remote role. We do not offer relocation. We do not sponsor visas.
If you need to relocate, work remotely, or need visa sponsorship, please do not apply.
What You'll Do
Build AI-enabled tools and agents that automate manual work across engineering, support, and operations
Write bots and integrations for Slack, PagerDuty, and the other systems we run the business on
Build internal dashboards that give the team visibility into what's actually happening
Integrate LLM APIs and AI coding tools directly into the internal systems you build
Ship small, useful things fast. Iterate based on what people need
Work directly with senior engineers and leadership to find friction and fix it
Own your projects end to end: design, build, ship, support
For example, you might:
Automate our incident response process
Build automations for customer support
Build internal dashboards that measure our service quality
What We're Looking For
Required:
0-2 years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent project or internship work
Solid fundamentals in at least one of TypeScript, Ruby, or Go
Comfortable building with AI coding tools and LLM APIs. This role is AI-enabled work, not just AI-assisted
Comfort writing scripts, small services, or automations that solve a real problem
Clear written communication
Already based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We do not relocate for this role.
In-office at our San Francisco headquarters most days. This is not remote.
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. We cannot sponsor visas.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Slack's API, GitHub Actions, or similar automation platforms
Exposure to Terraform or Kubernetes
A side project, bot, or tool you built to automate something in your own life
About You
You fix the annoying thing to save time. You'd rather ship something small this week than plan something big for next quarter. You ask good questions, take feedback well, and want to learn from engineers more senior than you. You want to be in the room with your team, not on a call. You're excited about AI tools not just to write code faster, but to design and ship whole systems.
Why PlanetScale
We're redefining how high-growth companies manage data at scale—and we work with some of the most exciting brands in gaming, consumer tech, and B2B SaaS. As a Software Engineer, you'll be at the core of building the platform that powers world-class apps used by hundreds of millions of users worldwide. PlanetScale is a profitable company with a philosophy centered around building small teams of p99 individuals and is recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in America.
At PlanetScale we believe in supporting people to do their best work. Our mission is to build a diverse, equitable, and inclusive company. Base salary range: $120,000 - $160,000 USD

RevenueCat gives app businesses the infrastructure and tools to build, run, and improve their monetization. Since graduating from YC's S18 batch, we've grown into the default monetization platform for mobile.
We're in 50%+ of newly shipped subscription apps, we process $16B+ in annual purchase volume, and we help everyone from a solo developer to the OpenAI mobile team understand and grow their revenue.
We're a remote-first team of 150+ people across 25+ countries, guided by values we actually practice: Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance.
This isn't the right fit for everyone. The systems you’ll build here manage billions of dollars and touch hundreds of millions of end users, and we don’t take that lightly. You'll be expected to work hard and hold a high bar for what you ship, alongside some of the sharpest, most driven people you've worked with. If that sounds energizing rather than exhausting, keep reading.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Head of Customer Growth to build and lead the operating system that helps RevenueCat customers become better app businesses.
This is broader than a traditional Customer Success role. It combines strategic account coverage, app-growth judgment, specialist advisory, customer education, product adoption, and scalable enablement. The goal is not to give every customer the same high-touch service. It is to identify where RevenueCat can create disproportionate value, deploy the right kind of help, and turn every successful customer intervention into knowledge that benefits the rest of the customer base.
You will lead a multi-lane Customer Growth function spanning the CSM team, Growth Advisory, Growth Advocacy, and the emerging Customer Enablement function. The CSM Team Lead will own daily CSM execution. You will set the strategy, operating model, talent bar, investment plan, and measures of success for the function as a whole.
For our highest-value customers, this means deep account context, growth diagnosis, stakeholder mapping, product-adoption strategy, technical-account coordination, and clear next-step ownership. For high-potential customers, it means identifying them early and providing the right help before revenue has fully materialized. For customers with specific growth bottlenecks, it means bringing in the right specialist. For the broader customer base, it means scalable education through Growth Advocates, lifecycle guidance, office hours, playbooks, templates, product nudges, and eventually dynamic next-best-action systems.
Your job is to make Customer Growth one operating system rather than a collection of disconnected activities.
WHY WE ARE HIRING FOR THIS ROLE NOW
RevenueCat serves tiny indie apps, fast-growing startups, games, media companies, health and fitness apps, AI products, marketplaces, and some of the most sophisticated consumer app businesses in the world.
The app market is top-heavy, so the human touch must be allocated deliberately. At the same time, a customer that is small today may become strategically important very quickly. Contract status and current revenue are necessary signals, but they are not sufficient.
We already have many of the ingredients: CSMs, a CSM Team Lead role, Growth Advocates, Customer Growth Advisory specialists, Product, Support, Marketing, Sales, TAM, Data, and one of the richest datasets in app monetization. We need a leader who can turn those ingredients into a coherent function.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Own Customer Growth strategy across the full customer base. Define how RevenueCat helps customers grow after they begin using the product, including named accounts, high-potential customers, specialist-assisted customers, scaled customers, and the long tail.
- Build segmentation and coverage. Use current value, future potential, adoption, intent, growth moments, risk, and strategic importance to decide who receives named CSM coverage, time-bound help, specialist advisory, scaled education, product-led guidance, or monitoring.
- Lead through the CSM Team Lead. Set the bar for customer context, account strategy, stakeholder management, growth diagnosis, adoption planning, commercial awareness, and follow-through. Develop the Team Lead and create a strong leadership bench rather than becoming the permanent CSM manager.
- Identify high-potential customers early. Work with Data, Product, Sales, Marketing, and Support to find customers with meaningful future potential before revenue alone makes them obvious.
- Govern Growth Advisory. Define intake, qualification, expected impact, output quality, follow-through, and reuse. Specialists should be deployed against specific high-value problems rather than become general-purpose consulting capacity.
- Make Growth Advocacy a customer-education channel. Ensure Growth Advocates turn real customer learning into authoritative one-to-many education for existing customers and the broader app ecosystem.
- Build Customer Enablement and Scaled Growth. Create the roadmap for lifecycle programs, templates, office hours, documentation, automation, product nudges, and next-best-action guidance.
- Drive meaningful product adoption. Partner with Product and Product Marketing so customers adopt RevenueCat capabilities in ways that help them win, rather than merely increasing feature activity.
- Create clear cross-functional decision rights. Define how Customer Growth works with Sales, TAM, Support, Product, Marketing, and Data without turning CSMs into AEs, TAMs into a catch-all, or collaboration into meeting theater.
- Build the customer-insight loop. Repeated customer questions should become product improvements, enablement, playbooks, benchmarks, documentation, lifecycle programs, and market education.
- Own the function. Set metrics, operating cadences, headcount plans, budget, organization design, executive communication, and the talent bar across Customer Growth.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH
- Meet directly with at least 15 customers across different sizes, growth stages, product footprints, and monetization models—including high-value, high-potential, at-risk, and scaled customers.
- Take point on at least two live customer-growth situations. Work alongside the CSM, Advisory, TAM, Support, or Product partner to diagnose the problem, agree ownership, and move each customer to a concrete next milestone.
- Ship at least one no-regrets improvement to a broken handoff, account motion, Advisory route, or customer experience rather than waiting for a complete strategy.
- Establish a clear operating agreement with the CSM Team Lead and act on urgent customer, talent, or ownership issues.
- Build a working view of the team, coverage, high-potential misses, lane boundaries, and metrics—deep enough to make decisions, without allowing analysis to delay action.
WITHIN THE FIRST THREE MONTHS
- Act as executive sponsor for a small set of strategically important or high-potential customers and personally lead at least two customer-growth interventions through a measurable milestone.
- Put the first version of segmentation and coverage into production on real accounts, then revise it from evidence.
- Run decision-oriented account reviews and a working Growth Advisory intake and follow-through motion.
- Ship the first scaled education or Customer Enablement program based on a repeated customer need.
- Make the first material changes to ownership, operating cadence, or talent where the current model is not working.
- Establish a customer-insight loop that turns frontline evidence into owned Product, education, lifecycle, or process actions.
WITHIN THE FIRST SIX MONTHS
- Maintain direct customer contact every week and own selected executive relationships while leading the wider system through the CSM Team Lead and specialist leaders.
- Operate a functioning multi-lane Customer Growth model with clear owners, live handoffs, and visible outcomes across CSM, Growth Advisory, Growth Advocacy, and Customer Enablement.
- Have the CSM Team Lead independently owning daily CSM execution, coaching, and account quality.
- Demonstrate measurable results from customer interventions and show that repeated one-to-one work is becoming reusable Advisory output, education, enablement, or product insight.
- Have shipped multiple scaled programs and made concrete hiring or investment decisions for the function.
WITHIN THE FIRST TWELVE MONTHS
- RevenueCat has a trusted, actively used system for serving high-value, high-potential, specialist-assisted, and scaled customers.
- Customer Growth produces measurable improvement in customer outcomes, meaningful product adoption, account health, renewal readiness, expansion quality, and customer revenue outcomes.
- The Head remains directly connected to customers and is a trusted executive partner for selected strategic accounts.
- The best customer work consistently becomes reusable product, education, and market leverage.
- The function has a strong leadership bench and a record of shipping improvements without waiting for perfect information.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Approximately 10 or more years in Customer Success, Customer Growth, strategic accounts, Growth Advisory, product growth, lifecycle, monetization, or an adjacent customer-facing function.
- Five or more years leading customer-facing teams, including managers, senior team leads, or specialist groups.
- Evidence of owning an entire function or multi-lane operating model, not only managing an individual CSM team.
- Experience building or materially rebuilding segmentation, coverage, strategic-account, adoption, health, advisory, or scaled-customer systems.
- Strong commercial judgment around NDR, renewal risk, expansion influence, customer value, and executive alignment.
- Credibility with mobile apps, app monetization, in-app purchases, paywalls, checkout, pricing and offers, lifecycle, retention, experimentation, analytics, or a closely adjacent domain.
- Enough product and technical fluency to lead around a developer-facing platform while preserving clear ownership for TAM, Support, and Engineering.
- Experience managing both generalists and specialists.
- Evidence of turning repeated one-to-one work into scalable systems.
- Strong written communication, directness, and remote-first operating habits.
- Evidence of hiring, coaching, performance management, and raising the leadership and talent bar.
IDEALLY, YOU
- Have led CSMs and advisory, education, lifecycle, or enablement teams together.
- Have scaled a customer-facing function through a major company-growth stage.
- Have worked in a hybrid self-serve, product-led, and enterprise business.
- Have firsthand experience as an app operator, growth leader, founder, or consultant.
- Have built product-led or tech-touch Customer Success programs.
- Have helped productize or commercialize an advisory or professional-services capability.
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Competitive equity in a fast-growing, Series C startup backed by top-tier investors, including Y Combinator
- 10-year window to exercise vested equity options
- A fully remote environment designed around autonomy and flexibility
- 4-5 weeks of flexible time off annually
- Paid desk at a co-working space
- Workspace budget and continuous learning stipend

The company is founder led, profitable and growing.
Canonical builds the open-source software that runs the world’s clouds, devices and AI, and we hold our managers to a high standard. Our Talent Development team exists to make leaders and managers at Canonical genuinely excellent. We define what great management looks like here, and we put that standard into the hands of managers and leaders across the company.
The Organisational Development Associate is where our most driven early-career people begin. From day one you work with real teams and take on real change, coached hard by senior practitioners on a fast path toward running this work yourself. This is not a support or back-office role, and it is not generalist HR. We hire for potential, drive and coachability over a polished CV, and we back the people we hire to move fast.
Applying to this role will enter you into our People Track for consideration across roles in the function.
Location
: These are remote based positions, available across EMEA and the Americas.
The role entails
Being embedded inside a real team: see how it works day to day, and surface what is and isn't working.
Running the diagnostics on a team's health and management effectiveness (engagement, 360, direct feedback), and turning the evidence into a clear, honest read.
Owning an improvement end to end: a concrete change to how a team works that you design, drive and land, with a senior practitioner alongside you.
Supporting managers in delivering effective 360 performance feedback to individuals and helping them turn it into two or three real commitments they follow through on.
Helping build the playbook: the standards, tools and shared language the whole function runs on. You are building the system others use, not producing filler.
Learning coaching and organisational development directly from senior practitioners, on a fast, visible path to running this work yourself.
What we are looking for in you
A track record of leading and organising early. You have run things, built things, won people over and made change happen, in a startup, a student society, the military, a team, anywhere. People around you already see you as a driver.
A deliberate pull toward developing people and organisations. You chose this field on purpose, with a real grounding in organisational or industrial psychology, behavioural science or a comparable basis. It is not a fallback.
Drive and eagerness to learn. You have your own ideas and the confidence to challenge, and you are hungry to be coached and to grow fast.
The presence to sit across from experienced people and talk about change with confidence.
An exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
Up to around two years of experience since graduating.
Business level written and spoken English.
Organised, accurate, confident, authentic, results-oriented, and enthusiastic.
Sincere personal motivation aligned with our mission.
Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
In addition we expect that you will match our values, by being:
Precise, taking care to deliver correctness and clarity.
Reliable, delivering high quality work that builds trust and confidence.
Accessible, collaborating to build products and systems that are usable.
Adroit, blending enthusiasm, knowledge, adaptability, style and character.
Nice-to-have skills
Any exposure to people, organisational, coaching or consulting work, through study, an internship or a first job.
A genuine interest in the craft of management and organisations, not just the subject matter.
Comfort working with data.
What we offer colleagues
We consider geographical location, experience, and performance in shaping compensation worldwide. We revisit compensation annually (and more often for graduates and associates) to ensure we recognise outstanding performance. In addition to base pay, we offer a performance-driven annual bonus. Distributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person.
Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year.
Annual compensation review.
Recognition rewards.
Annual holiday leave.
Maternity and paternity leave.
Employee Assistance Programme.
Opportunity to travel to new locations to meet colleagues.

About Scorewarrior
Scorewarrior is an independent game studio with a single mission: to excite and unite players all over the world. For over 10 years they've been pursuing it through Total Battle — a product they continue to actively and successfully grow. The team consists of 230 self-motivated professionals who know and love their craft, and the company has recently begun an active company-wide adoption of AI tools. Their home is a great office in Limassol, Cyprus. They offer a strong relocation package for you and your family, and put real effort into making life on the island genuinely varied and interesting.
Location & format:
Onsite — Limassol, Cyprus. Full relocation support provided.
The mission of this role:
This is a hands-on engineering role: you design and implement solutions yourself, working side by side with Infrastructure, DevOps, and development teams. Leadership experience is not required here and not expected.
Key objectives:
— Strengthen cloud and infrastructure security in practice: secrets management, audit logging and controlled production access.
— Close high-impact risks: start from an honest assessment of the current state and build a consistent picture of gaps and risks as you go.
— Work secure-by-default: wherever possible, remove the security burden from teams through automation and platform-level solutions rather than rules and manual procedures.
— Roll up your sleeves: dive into what Infrastructure, DevOps, and development teams are building right now, understand it from the inside, and make security part of it.
Job requirements:
— Real experience building platform and infrastructure security — you have designed and implemented security solutions yourself: not audited or monitored them, and you can walk us through the architecture, the decisions, and what you'd do differently.
— Cloud security as your core strength: Recent hands-on experience securing cloud environments.
— A strong infrastructure background. You may have grown entirely within security engineering or moved into security from DevOps, SRE, system administration, or network engineering. What matters is that your thinking is an engineer's thinking: architecture first, building over prescribing.
— The ability to explain risks with facts. You have real cases where you make technical teams see why a risk matters and why a change is needed through evidence, architecture, and concrete scenarios.
— AppSec, SIEM, and SOC experience are useful but secondary.
Nice to have:
— Infrastructure-as-Code in practice.
— Container and Kubernetes security experience.
— Scripting and automation as a habit: Python, Go, or Bash — you'd rather automate a control than write a procedure for humans to follow.
— GCP specifically. Their stack is GCP; deep experience with it will shorten your path to impact, though strong AWS/Azure experience translates well.
— Experience with securing AI tool usage.
Who this role is NOT for:
— Your current focus is on monitoring, alert triage and incident analysis.
— Your specialization is threat research, malware analysis, cryptography, or lab-style cybersecurity.
— Your recent work is mostly paper security: policies, compliance documents, and audits.
— You are looking for a management track or ownership of a security function right now — strategy and team building belong to the security leadership role they're hiring separately.
Why join Scorewarrior?
— 99% employee satisfaction, low turnover, and colleagues who genuinely enjoy collaborating.
— Live and work in sunny Cyprus with full relocation and visa support for you and your family.
— Shape a global hit: the only European studio with a 4X strategy title in the world’s top-10.
— Grow fast in a company that’s already strong, independent, financially rock-solid, and expanding at startup speed, with no layoffs.
— Flat structure, collective decision-making, and honest feedback create full transparency and help you grow fast.
— High salaries, a 13th month, performance bonuses, and extra rewards for long service, marriage, or welcoming a child, and lunch every day.
— Private family health insurance, plus a monthly allowance for children’s pre-school, school, and university education.
— Specialized training and certifications, language courses and books to support your growth.

The mission of this role
To build a viable, right-sized security system for Scorewarrior that protects what matters without slowing the company down, owning it end-to-end: from diagnosis and strategy to implementation, team, and culture.
Key objectives
— Build a viable security system across core domains: IAM (access management, MFA, SSO), infrastructure security (cloud, services, network), foundational SDLC/AppSec (security in development and code), and related processes and training.
— Start with a proper diagnosis of the current landscape and design a system tailored for the company.
— Own security risks and communicate effectively with both business leaders (CTO, CEO) and technical teams (developers, infrastructure).
— Make informed build-vs-buy decisions regarding security tools and methods.
— Introduce security as a partner, embedding baseline practices smoothly without blocking teams.
— Define safe usage policies and guardrails for company-wide adoption of AI tools.
— Build and grow the security team deliberately, hiring the first security engineers with clear rationale.
Job requirements
— 8+ years of hands-on experience in security with real projects designed, implemented, and maintained.
— Real systems experience, either through a stable security engineering career or transition from system administration, technical support, or network engineering.
— Proven experience hiring and building a team (2+ people) with deliberate structure.
— Experience building a security function from unclear state to working system, including assessment, prioritization, and implementation.
— Strong awareness of the security product market and ability to choose appropriate tools or methods.
— Partner-style operating approach, working through engineering teams without blocking or mandatory authority.
Nice to have
— Experience in B2C products, SaaS platforms, gamedev, or mobile apps with company size up to 1,000 people.
— Experience working with external security providers.
— Familiarity with common security frameworks.
— Experience as the first or founding security hire in a company.
Who this role is NOT for
— Those focused mostly on policies, reports, and committees without recent hands-on systems experience.
— Those operating with hierarchical authority, mandatory sign-offs, and blocking by default.
— Those who replay the same security project regardless of company context.
— Those who avoid building and leading a team.
What success looks like
— Clear diagnosis of the security landscape and a plan trusted by CTO.
— Security system working quietly with embedded baseline practices and improved protection.
