About inKind
inKind is transforming the way restaurants access growth capital and build relationships with their guests. Sitting at the intersection of hospitality, fintech, consumer technology, and loyalty, our platform helps restaurant operators grow while giving consumers a better way to discover, experience, and engage with restaurants.
We are entering our next stage of growth, and our ambition is significant: to establish inKind as the market-leading brand in dining and become one of the most recognized and relevant consumer brands in hospitality.
We're looking for a VP of Marketing who has experienced hyper-scale before - someone who understands what it takes to take a rapidly growing company and turn it into a category-defining, nationally recognized brand.
Role Summary
The VP of Marketing will own the strategy, execution, and continuous optimization of inKind's marketing function across growth, brand, lifecycle, acquisition, retention, content, partnerships, and product marketing.
This is a critical leadership role for the next stage of inKind's growth. We want someone who has seen and helped lead hyper-scale firsthand and understands how the marketing strategy, organization, channels, brand, technology, and operating model need to evolve as a company moves from high growth to true market leadership.
Your mandate is bigger than generating leads or running campaigns. You will help turn inKind into a market-leading consumer brand, creating the awareness, affinity, customer growth, and engagement required to make inKind synonymous with discovering and experiencing great restaurants.
This is not a role for someone who wants to operate purely at the strategy level. You will set the vision while remaining deeply involved in execution - understanding how channels perform, how consumers behave, where the funnel can improve, what the brand stands for, and where we should place our next bet.
You will combine brand building with commercial performance, ensuring every marketing investment contributes to sustainable growth and long-term brand equity.
What You'll Own
Hyper-Scale Growth
Build the marketing strategy required to drive inKind through its next paradigm of rapid growth.
Bring firsthand experience of what changes when a business moves from growth into hyper-growth - from channels and organizational structure to processes, technology, measurement, and brand investment.
Identify the growth engines capable of taking inKind from today's scale to the next order of magnitude.
Build repeatable, scalable acquisition and engagement models rather than relying on isolated campaigns.
Anticipate the capabilities, talent, systems, and infrastructure Marketing will need before growth creates the requirement.
Balance aggressive growth with disciplined economics and sustainable customer value.
Growth & Customer Acquisition
Own the overall strategy for consumer growth, acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention.
Build and continuously optimize a diversified acquisition strategy across paid, organic, referral, partnership, local, and emerging channels.
Establish clear performance expectations across the marketing funnel and identify opportunities to improve conversion at every stage.
Own key growth metrics including CAC, conversion, activation, retention, repeat behavior, frequency, and LTV.
Develop scalable growth loops that leverage inKind's restaurant network, consumers, partners, and product.
Test aggressively, learn quickly, and scale what works.
Build a Market-Leading Brand
Own the ambition of transforming inKind from a rapidly growing company into a nationally recognized, market-leading consumer brand.
Define and evolve the inKind brand strategy, positioning, voice, and creative direction.
Establish a clear point of view on what inKind should stand for in the minds of consumers.
Build awareness, consideration, preference, and affinity at scale.
Develop breakthrough campaigns and brand moments capable of expanding inKind beyond its existing audience.
Build a brand that consumers actively recognize, trust, talk about, and want to engage with.
Ensure brand investment and growth marketing work together rather than operating as separate disciplines.
Identify opportunities for inKind to define and lead its category.
Establish consistent and distinctive brand experiences across product, digital, social, restaurant, partnership, experiential, and corporate touchpoints.
Lifecycle, CRM & Retention
Own lifecycle marketing across the complete customer journey.
Develop sophisticated segmentation and personalization strategies based on customer behavior and data.
Improve onboarding, activation, engagement, frequency, reactivation, and retention.
Drive continuous experimentation across messaging, offers, timing, channels, and customer segments.
Partner with Product and Data to identify behavioral signals and turn them into actionable marketing programs.
Ensure lifecycle marketing becomes a meaningful driver of customer LTV and sustainable growth.
Optimization & Analytics
Build a marketing organization where data drives decisions.
Establish clear dashboards and KPIs across channels, campaigns, customer segments, brand health, and the overall marketing funnel.
Regularly analyze performance and identify where resources should be increased, reduced, or redirected.
Develop a rigorous testing framework across creative, audience, channel, offer, landing page, and customer experience.
Understand not simply what happened, but why it happened and what we should do next.
Translate marketing performance and consumer behavior into clear recommendations for Executive Leadership.
Create the measurement frameworks necessary to understand both short-term performance marketing and long-term brand impact.
Product & Partner Marketing
Partner closely with Product to ensure customer insights influence the product roadmap and go-to-market strategy.
Develop positioning and go-to-market plans for new products, capabilities, markets, and strategic partnerships.
Create programs that simultaneously drive value for
consumers, restaurant partners, and inKind
.
Ensure major launches have clear audiences, messaging, distribution strategies, and measurable success criteria.
Identify opportunities where product capabilities themselves can become powerful acquisition, engagement, and brand-building mechanisms.
Marketing Leadership & Execution
Set the overall marketing strategy while remaining close to the work.
Build, lead, coach, and scale a high-performing marketing organization capable of operating in a hyper-growth environment.
Determine what the marketing organization needs to look like at 2x, 5x, and 10x today's scale.
Establish clear ownership, priorities, goals, and accountability across the team.
Evaluate the existing marketing organization, capabilities, agencies, technology, processes, and investment strategy and determine what needs to evolve.
Manage marketing investment with a strong focus on incremental impact, scalability, and ROI.
Move comfortably between executive-level strategy and detailed campaign, creative, channel, or performance discussions.
Create a culture of experimentation, urgency, creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Who You Are
You've seen hyper-scale:
You have operated inside a company during a period of exceptional growth and understand what needs to change as the organization scales.
You've built brands, not just campaigns:
You understand how a growing company becomes a recognizable, differentiated, market-leading brand.
Strategic and hands-on:
You can build a multi-year marketing strategy and dive into campaign performance the same day.
Commercially minded:
You think about marketing through the lens of revenue, growth, customer behavior, market share, and enterprise value.
Brand + Growth:
You believe exceptional brand building and measurable performance should reinforce each other.
Data-driven:
You're comfortable interrogating dashboards, funnels, cohorts, CAC, LTV, retention, conversion, and channel performance.
Customer obsessed:
You have a deep curiosity about why consumers behave the way they do and what creates genuine brand affinity.
Highly experimental:
You naturally think in hypotheses, tests, results, and iteration.
Builder mentality:
You're energized by building the organization and capabilities required for the next stage rather than simply managing what already exists.
High agency:
When you identify an opportunity or problem, you take ownership and move quickly.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including significant senior leadership responsibility.
Firsthand experience operating through hyper-growth or hyper-scale, ideally within a business that achieved significant national consumer adoption.
Demonstrated experience helping transform a growing company into a market-leading or category-defining brand.
Experience within a high-growth consumer, marketplace, fintech, hospitality, loyalty, e-commerce, or technology business.
Demonstrated success scaling consumer acquisition and retention.
Strong experience across growth marketing, brand, lifecycle/CRM, customer segmentation, and performance optimization.
Proven ability to build and scale high-performing marketing organizations.
Strong analytical capabilities and experience using customer and performance data to drive decisions.
Experience managing significant marketing investments and evaluating channel-level ROI.

⭐ The role, concretely
Are you excited about building, structuring and scaling HR operations in a company that's just getting started? You will join Prévenir at a very early stage and help build the foundations of our People and administrative operations as the company scales. This role is particularly suited to someone who has already experienced a fast-growth environment, whether in a start-up, scale-up or during a 0-to-100 journey.
We're in the early chapters: this isn't about running existing processes — it's about creating them from scratch so they hold up at much larger scale. The role brings a product mindset to People operations, where every key moment of the employee experience is carefully designed, with a constant focus on simplicity and automation. You'll work closely with Lucie, who makes the final calls depending on topic complexity and supports you as you grow into autonomy.
Your time is split between:
- Employee journey: onboarding, probation-period tracking, setting up and running performance reviews, feedback processes, and monitoring team engagement.
- Documentation & operational efficiency: writing clear, user-centric documentation, spotting friction, simplifying or automating recurring processes. You leverage AI to multiply the impact of your work.
- People admin: leave and absence management, payroll back-and-forth, contracting and employee administrative follow-up, onboarding formalities and affiliations (health/provident insurance, occupational health), GDPR compliance.
- Operational finance: expense reports, preparing and sending accounting documents to Impulsa, preparing routine filings (including VAT).
Over time, this person will take ownership of payroll management in coordination with our accounting partner, with training and support.
👤 The profile we're looking for
Essential:
- At least 5-6 years of experience in People Ops, very hands-on, and comfortable with admin topics (e.g., managing the relationship with an accounting firm)
- Previous experience in a fast-scaling company, start-up or scale-up, ideally having helped build or scale People processes during a period of significant growth.
- Business curiosity: genuinely interested in what's happening on the business side, and able to connect your work to where the company is heading
- Versatility across People and Corporate/Admin topics, with a strong People focus
- Rigour and rock-solid attention to detail
- Autonomy: you don't wait to be told there's a problem — you spot it, bring a solution, and know when to loop someone in on the tricky ones
- Demonstrated interest in automating and improving recurring processes, and genuine enthusiasm for AI
- Comfort interacting with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior profiles when needed
- Fluent English (written and spoken) to interact with the Alan team
- Based in Paris or the Île-de-France region, with the ability to work onsite regularly, ideally three days per week or more.
Ideally:
- Experience in MedTech or in a start-up / scale-up
- Sensitivity to the medical world (professional or personal)
- Note: a 100% Occupational Health background may not be the right cultural fit, but worth testing
🙏 What we offer
- Location: 117 Quai de Valmy, Paris 10th, in a brand-new centre designed to support high-quality practice
- Base salary: between €53,000 and €61,000 gross per year, depending on experience and level
- Profit-sharing scheme: 10%, in line with Prévenir’s framework
- Benefits: daily transport costs covered, company restaurant, RTT days and regular team events

We hold a high bar for quality and craftsmanship. No detail is too small. Trust depends on it.
We’re a global team building products people can actually use, turning complex technology into something simple and reliable.
We stay aligned, move quickly, and think long term, while keeping teams lean and focused on impact.
About the Role
Aave is looking for a Protocol Security Researcher to help build its internal protocol security function.
The role sits at the intersection of smart contract security, protocol design, adversarial research, and AI-assisted review. You will help assess major protocol changes before deployment, maintain security context across Aave’s deployed systems, and reason about the risks introduced by critical dependencies, integrations, and Aave-adjacent infrastructure.
This is not a narrow audit role. The goal is to improve Aave’s ability to understand and reduce protocol risk continuously.
How you can make an impact:
Review major Aave protocol changes before external audit or deployment
Perform attacker-driven analysis of smart contracts, protocol mechanisms, and integrations
Participate in design and architecture discussions early enough to influence security-relevant decisions
Identify risks in Aave-adjacent systems, including assets, bridges, oracles, adapters, and critical dependencies
Contribute to AI-assisted security tooling and evaluate its effectiveness in real review workflows
Turn review findings into reusable knowledge, invariants, assumptions, and testing or monitoring ideas
Work with monitoring and incident response teams when review findings imply operational detection or response needs
Collaborate with external auditors by helping define scope, known risks, and areas of concern
Let's connect if you have:
5+ years of relevant security experience
Strong smart contract security background
Ability to independently review complex codebases and reason about protocol-level failure modes
Attacker mindset: you can move from “this looks wrong” to “this is how it could be exploited”
Strong understanding of DeFi mechanisms, including lending, liquidations, accounting, oracles, collateral, governance, and integrations
Evidence that you are actively using AI to improve security research, review quality, or review throughput
Clear written communication: you can explain risk, impact, uncertainty, and trade-offs to engineers and non-security stakeholders
Good judgment about severity, exploitability, and when a finding matters
Nice to haves:
Experience with formal methods, fuzzing, invariant testing, or custom security tooling
Experience building internal tools for security review, code understanding, or knowledge management
Experience working with external audit firms or leading audit engagements
Familiarity with governance payloads, upgrade systems, permissioning, and incident response
Open-source security research, published findings, CTFs, bug bounties, or prior public vulnerability research
Haven’t quite met all the criteria? Let’s not miss out on the chance to speak. Whilst you might not meet every single requirement, you might bring other, more exciting skills to the companies!
Equal opportunities statement:
Aave Labs celebrates diversity and views each and every team member as a separate individual with their own unique identity. No matter your race, religion, gender, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation or even the wallet you use, we welcome you at Aave Labs. As an equal opportunities employer, we take accountability and believe in everyone's potential to build, create and inspire changes. With a mission to build a diverse workforce, we are proud to foster a working environment in which everyone can feel safe and valued for who they are.

ABOUT PLAYSON
Playson builds premium casino games and platform solutions for operators worldwide. Our products reach millions of players across regulated markets, and we ship frequently - which means our certification and compliance evidence has to be as well-engineered as the games themselves.
We are hiring a Software Developer, Compliance, to own that engineering: a pipeline that lets us ship faster and safer, and a defence of the platform and the games that holds up in front of a lab, an ISO assessor, and a future SOC 2 auditor.
About the role
You are a software developer sitting inside compliance. You will build and continuously evolve a secure compliance pipeline so we can ship games and platform changes faster and safer - and you will be the technical person who defends what we shipped when an auditor, a certification lab, or a regulator asks.
The scope is not games alone. You will stand in front of game certification labs, and you will also defend the platform: ISO certification of our systems and the evidence work that leads into a future SOC 2 audit. In every case, the job is the same. You produce the proof. You walk the auditor through it. You answer the question that was asked, with the evidence that was requested, and you stop there.
You will own the technical side of game certification. You take a game math package from the review channel to the lab, you produce the evidence the lab needs - build hashes, PAR sheets, configuration snapshots, version manifests - and you answer the lab's technical questions yourself, without a developer sitting next to you. When a certificate comes back, you are the person who confirms every deficiency is closed before the game is allowed past the pre-release gate.
Between lab submissions, you treat the pipeline as a product. Manual evidence collection, one-off screenshots, and tribal knowledge are the things you replace. You automate controls, tighten the audit trail, and shorten the path from "ready to ship" to "ready to show an auditor" without weakening the bar. Faster and safer at the same time is the point of this role - not one at the expense of the other.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- You are a developer first. 3+ years writing production code, comfortable reading someone else's codebase and forming your own opinion about what it does. You are not a documentation coordinator who learned some technical words
- Strong Node.js and TypeScript. Our game math packages, engine integration, rules and bets migrations, test suites, and compliance automation are all JavaScript-side. You will read game math code and verify that what it does matches what we told the lab it does - and you will write the tooling that makes that check repeatable
- You know what it takes to build certified products. You have worked for an iGaming game provider, a lottery, or another business where products require certification. You understand how that shapes development, testing, and releases, and why the code and supporting evidence need to stay aligned.
- You build pipelines, not checklists. You have taken a manual, high-stakes process and turned it into something engineered: automated evidence, versioned artefacts, gates that fail closed
- You can read data and write queries. SQL against a production analytics store, log investigation, understanding a metrics pipeline well enough to tell a real control failure from a broken dashboard
- Composure in front of an auditor. In a lab session, an ISO assessment, or a future SOC 2 walkthrough, you answer the question that was asked with the evidence that was requested. You communicate with auditors and certification labs precisely and factually. You provide complete evidence for the question or control being assessed, avoid speculation, and escalate regulatory interpretations to the Head of Compliance
- You know where your authority ends. When a question moves from technical fact to regulatory interpretation or commercial consequence, you route it to the Head of Compliance instead of improvising
- You write clearly and permanently. Compliance evidence is read years later by people who were not in the room. Your documentation has to survive that
- You are comfortable saying no. You will be the person telling a squad, under release pressure, that their change does not pass the gate. That conversation needs to be calm, specific, and final
- Precise by temperament. You check the version number rather than remembering it. You are not bored by an audit trail
NICE TO HAVE
- Direct dealings with a certification lab (GLI, BMM, eCOGRA, iTech Labs, or similar) or a gaming regulator
- Hands-on evidence work for ISO 27001, SOC 2, or an equivalent information-security audit
- Understanding of RNG, RTP mathematics, and how statistical certification evidence is produced
- Familiarity with multi-jurisdiction licensing (UKGC, MGA, and regulated EU and LatAm markets)
- Observability and alerting tooling - Datadog or equivalent, including building automation on top of it rather than just reading dashboards
- Experience with change-management controls, audit trails, and segregation-of-duties models
- Incident response experience, particularly where the incident had a regulatory or audit dimension
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT ON THIS ROLE
- A role with real authority: you hold gate sign-off, and a release does not go past you without it
- Genuine engineering work - you own the compliance pipeline as a product, not a pile of checklists with a technical title
- Direct exposure to certification labs, ISO assessors, and the path to SOC 2 - rare and portable experience
- Close collaboration with math, QA, platform, and SRE across games and the platform
- A compliance function that is being built up deliberately, with room to shape how it works
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive Salary
- Quarterly Bonuses
- Unlimited Paid Time Off
- Unlimited Paid Sick Leave
- Remote & Flexible Working
- Private Medical Insurance
- Financial Support for Life Events
- Professional Development Budget
- International Exposure
- Regular Company Events

As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.
Role overview
We are seeking a Senior Localisation Quality Engineer, a highly skilled and innovative individual who brings together design-phase product thinking, software engineering expertise, localisation awareness, and technical problem solving.
The role builds on the core responsibilities of a Senior Localisation QA Engineer, combining strong localization quality expertise with software engineering, automation, and earlier involvement in the product design and development lifecycle.
This role is ideal for someone who has worked closely with design teams in Figma, has experience reviewing and validating designs before implementation, understands how localisation impacts product and UI design, and can build scalable technical solutions to improve quality across the product lifecycle. You will partner with design, engineering, product, and localisation teams to identify risks early, improve design quality and localisation readiness, and create tools, systems, and solutions that enable faster and smarter delivery.
Rather than focusing only on post-implementation testing, this role emphasises early engagement in the design phase, including reviewing Figma files, prototypes, design systems, user flows, and content structures to ensure they are scalable, testable, and ready for localisation across languages and regions. You will also contribute as a hands-on engineer, building software, automation, integrations, and AI-driven solutions such as agents, assistants, or plugins that improve workflows, validation, and quality decision-making.
The ideal candidate combines strong software development skills, experience working with design systems and Figma-based workflows, practical understanding of localisation and internationalisation, and hands-on interest in engineering solutions to product and quality challenges.
Responsibilities
Design Systems, Figma & Early Product Quality
- Partner with designers, product managers, engineers, and the wider Localisation team to help identify localisation risks early in the design phase.
- Support the Localisation team by reviewing Figma designs and providing technical and design expertise to improve localisation readiness before implementation.
- Help the Localisation team identify and address design risks such as text expansion, truncation, layout issues, bidirectional languages, locale-aware components, and cross-market scalability.
- .Build and improve tools, automation, and processes that enable Localisation QA to identify issues earlier and at scale, including automated design and content validation, screenshot capture, localisation readiness checks, and quality validation across languages and regions.
- Work with the wider Localisation team to define best practices and guidance that help designers and engineers create products that are ready for localisation from the start.
- Collaborate with design teams on design systems, UI patterns, and content structures to improve quality and reduce downstream issues before code is written.
- Help define quality expectations, localisation considerations, and implementation guidance directly from design artefacts and product requirements.
Localisation Quality & Testing
- Perform hands-on Localisation QA testing across multiple languages, platforms, products, and regions, including linguistic, functional, visual, and internationalisation testing.
- Lead and support complex localisation quality initiatives, while contributing directly to day-to-day testing when needed.
- Develop and improve localisation test strategies covering linguistic, functional, visual, and internationalisation quality.
- Investigate complex localisation and internationalisation issues and work with engineering, design, product, and localisation teams to identify root causes and appropriate solutions.
- Help define localisation quality standards and ensure localisation considerations are integrated throughout the product development lifecycle, from design through implementation and release.
Software Engineering & Technical Solutions
- Design and develop software, internal tools, automation, and reusable services that improve product quality, design validation, and workflow efficiency.
- Build scalable software solutions that support validation of product experiences across design, development, and release stages.
- Contribute to codebases, frameworks, and technical infrastructure that improve quality signals, design consistency, and localisation support.
- Partner with software engineers to improve feature readiness, system testability, and quality-by-design practices.
- Integrate validation and quality workflows into modern development environments and CI/CD pipelines where appropriate.
Automation, Tooling & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve localisation and product quality across design, engineering, and localisation workflows.
- Design and build tools, automation, integrations, or other technical solutions that help teams review designs, validate content, detect issues, and improve workflows.
- Choose the right technical approach for each problem, which may include traditional automation, scripts, plugins, APIs, AI/LLMs, or existing internal tools.
- Develop solutions that help identify localisation and quality issues earlier in the product lifecycle and provide faster feedback to teams.
- Prototype and test new approaches, measure their value, and develop successful solutions so they can be used by the wider Localisation team and potentially other teams.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as a bridge across design, engineering, product, and localisation teams, helping align quality, scalability, and user experience goals.
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex issues into actionable recommendations.
- Influence teams toward a shift-left, design-led quality approach.
- Contribute to planning, design reviews, implementation discussions, and release readiness with a focus on preventing issues early.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to members of the Localisation team, sharing engineering, automation, localisation, and quality best practices.
- Promote a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Education
BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Design Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, design technology, quality engineering, localisation engineering, or related product development roles.
- Strong hands-on experience in software development, with the ability to build tools, systems, integrations, or automation that solve real product challenges.
- Experience working closely with design teams and Figma workflows, including reviewing designs, prototypes, component systems, and user journeys before implementation.
- Experience validating or testing Figma designs for quality, scalability, localisation readiness, and implementation feasibility.
- Practical understanding of localisation and internationalisation principles in digital products.
- Experience with localisation quality or testing across multilingual products, platforms, or regions.
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java.
- Hands-on experience building or experimenting with AI agents, plugins, copilots, or intelligent workflow tools.
- Experience with APIs, structured data, system integrations, and modern software development practices.
- Familiarity with developer collaboration tools such as GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and cross-functional delivery models.
Soft Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong product thinking and problem-solving ability.
Comfortable operating across design, engineering, product, and localisation domains.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and effective in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
Desired qualifications
Experience with Figma design systems, component libraries, and design-to-development workflows.
Experience creating or contributing to Figma plugins, design validation tools, or workflow extensions.
Experience building AI agents, assistants, or plugins for design, engineering, content, or localisation use cases.
Experience influencing product quality earlier in the lifecycle through design review and engineering collaboration.
Familiarity with multilingual product development, translation workflows, or international launch readiness.
Experience in video games, consumer technology, digital entertainment, or large-scale product environments.
Fluency in one or more non-English languages is a plus.
What We Offer
The opportunity to shape next-generation quality, localisation, and design-to-development practices.
A dynamic and inclusive workplace where technical excellence, collaboration, and global impact thrive.
Competitive compensation, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.

About us
Aave Labs began with a simple question: how do we make financial services like borrowing, saving, and earning more accessible globally?
We built the Aave Protocol, now the world’s largest and most trusted onchain lending market, connecting decentralized finance with individuals, traditional finance, and fintech.
Today, we build trusted, high-quality products that expand access to lending, credit, and savings globally
Our culture
We build trusted products that help people access and discover economic opportunities.
We're looking for a Staff Frontend Engineer who operates across the full picture - someone who deeply understands how great web interfaces are built and how they perform, works autonomously, and translates that knowledge into exceptional web products and design systems.
Financial products are complex. Our users range from first-timers to power users, and the challenge of making that experience clear, fast, and trustworthy is one we take seriously. At this level, you're not just executing - you're bringing product intuition to the work, identifying where things break down, and making calls that shape the direction of what we build.
How you can make an impact:
Work autonomously across our web products, building high-quality UI with a strong point of view on how it should feel, function, and perform
Own and evolve complex, reusable components within the Aave design system - setting the standard for quality and consistency
Set the bar for frontend performance, from data loading, fetching and caching patterns through to server rendering and streaming
Bring product-level thinking to everything you work on - understanding user needs, business context, and technical constraints, whilst balancing them well
Collaborate with our talented designers, engineers, and product leads to bring clarity to ambiguous problems
Help raise the bar for the team through the quality of your work and the way you approach problems
Let's connect if you have:
Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, CSS and system design and architecture
Deep experience with frontend performance engineering - measuring it, diagnosing it, and fixing it
Strong command of Next.js patterns for data loading, fetching and caching, and experience handling server rendering and streaming data to the frontend
Deep experience with component-driven design systems and component design patterns, and building for consistency at scale
The product sense to work without a detailed brief - you can identify what needs to be solved, not just how to solve it
A demonstrated ability to take complex UX problems - information-dense interfaces, multi-step flows, edge cases - and make them feel resolved and clear
Nice to haves:
An understanding of backend data handling
A feel for animation best practices when data is updating, and how that plays out in re-renders across a UI
Curiosity about web3 and DeFi is a plus; you don't need to be an expert, but genuine interest in the space goes a long way
Curiosity about AI and its use in product engineering and daily workflows

ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
Modal's LLM inference platform delivers frontier performance https://modal.com/blog/kimi-k3-by-moonshot-now-available-on-modal for open-source models with best-in-class elasticity and developer experience, made in part possible by our custom runtime with GPU memory snapshots https://modal.com/blog/gpu-mem-snapshots and multi-cloud substrate https://modal.com/blog/resource-solver.
We're looking for a leader to own the direction and execution of this platform to continue to establish us as the clear market leader, working closely with customers like Cognition, Doordash, Ramp, and many more. You'll be leading a group of highly talented engineers working on our market-leading LLM inference offering, spanning the serving stack, routing infrastructure, internal agentic optimization platform, and the user-facing product surface area.
This is a hands-on leadership role — expect to split your time between technical contribution, product shaping and people management depending on what the team needs. You'll set direction, remove blockers, and build a strong engineering culture as your team tackles hard problems in distributed computing, frontier inference serving, and performance optimization.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:
Team
- Recruit, hire, and grow a high-performing team of engineers; run regular 1:1s focused on coaching, feedback, and career growth
- Set clear performance expectations, hold a high bar, and build an environment where engineers do their best work
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, customer obsession, and continuous improvement
Technical and Product Direction
- Drive technical and product decisions through design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions
- Lead our efforts working with customers with novel or frontier workloads so they can be successful running on Modal
- Translate learnings from frontier customers into a roadmap for our internal optimization platform and user-facing product, so that gains from optimization and research efforts are accessible to all of our users
- Establish standards for reliability and product excellence; ensure the team owns projects end-to-end, from spec through production
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with business operations and compute strategy on continuing to develop our strategy for compute purchases across a variety of accelerators
- Collaborate with GTM on product launches, positioning, and improving win rates for inference opportunities
- Help guide the roadmap for teams building the infrastructure platform underlying inference, as well as adjacent product teams
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF:
- You have 10+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- You have a track record of building high-performance systems at scale
- You have a strong background in cloud infrastructure
- You have deep knowledge of low-level OS foundations (Linux kernel, file systems, containers, etc.)
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience working with LLM inference in production
- Familiarity with underlying concepts like engines, kernels, routing, KV cache management, and speculative decoding

ABOUT MOTHERDUCK
Don’t let the quirky name fool you: At MotherDuck, we’re on a mission to make data warehousing fun, frictionless, and ducking awesome for developers and data practitioners building blazing fast internal and customer-facing analytics experiences. We're building a cloud-hosted version of DuckDB, working hand-in-hand with the creators of the fastest-growing and fastest-improving query engine on the planet. Unlike other databases, MotherDuck was architected to unify local development with cloud operations to bridge the gap between software and data engineering workflows. Our team is a mix of thoughtful, passionate, and empathetic data industry veterans.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Database team is the bridge between DuckDB and the cloud. We own the core server and client extension logic that lets DuckDB run seamlessly, whether it's local or in the cloud, and we work in C++ right alongside the DuckDB codebase itself. Our mission is to push the boundaries of embedded database performance, distributed execution, and user experience, all while staying closely connected to DuckDB Labs (the team behind DuckDB) to align on APIs and shape what's next.
Day to day, we drive major projects in dual execution, resource assignment, and system reliability, while also handling incoming issues and lending our DuckDB expertise to other teams. We collaborate closely across MotherDuck and with the wider DuckDB community, making sure people get the best of both local and cloud worlds. It's a small, high-agency team with big ambitions... the kind of place where engineers own impactful projects, share what they learn, and help shape how modern analytics gets built.
This role is ideally based in Amsterdam or Berlin, but we are also open to great candidates remotely in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own major projects in our dual execution stack, so DuckDB can process queries seamlessly whether they're running locally or in the cloud.
- Help build a cloud platform that dynamically assigns resources, so DuckDB stays efficient whether someone's running a tiny workload or pushing our biggest, highest-memory instances.
- Lead cross-functional work with our frontend, platform, and infrastructure teams to keep the user experience coherent end to end.
- Push the state of the art in embedded database performance, distributed execution, and DuckDB internals.
- Deepen your DuckDB expertise and share it with the rest of the company through mentorship and documentation.
- Work directly with our support team to debug issues, learn from real usage patterns, and prioritize the improvements that matter most.
- Improve systems holistically... spotting architectural challenges early and clearing bottlenecks before they become problems.
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for engineering practices across the team.
- Work closely with DuckDB Labs (which grew out of the Database Architectures group at CWI, where vectorized execution and DuckDB were born) to help align on APIs and shape where DuckDB goes next.
WHAT YOU BRING
- You've built and shipped complex backend systems, and you know what great looks like.
- You're fluent in a backend language like C++, Rust, Java, or similar systems languages, and you're comfortable working close to the metal. (C++ and Rust are the biggest plus here, and we love a great Java engineer too.)
- A good foundation in query engines, execution plans, indexing, and performance optimization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with DuckDB is a huge plus, no matter what level you're coming in at.
- You've worked with cloud infrastructure, networking, and building low-latency distributed systems.
- You can scope and lead projects that span multiple collaborators and cross-functional dependencies.
- You take pride in clear thinking, careful design, and thoughtful tradeoffs.
- You're comfortable mentoring peers and helping build a collaborative, high-agency environment.
- You enjoy engaging with the wider community, whether that's open-source conversations or working directly with DuckDB Labs.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
- The opportunity to participate and contribute to DuckDB, one of most popular modern open source analytical databases.
- Competitive salary and stock options so you have a stake in our flock’s success.
- Flexible time off – take the time you need to recharge, explore, or just have a lazy day by the pond.
- A good pension plan
- Legendary company events – we bring the whole flock together once a year for unforgettable summits in fun locations, plus 1-2 team gatherings a year to keep our bonds strong.
- Hybrid work environment – Spend three days a week in the office collaborating with the flock, and work from wherever you’re most productive the rest of the time—whether that’s your home office, a coffee shop, or a peaceful lakeside retreat. We have to warn you though, most of us like the office so much we come anyway. It’s on the river Ij, with a great lunch every day.
PLEASE APPLY
Does this role sound appealing to you, but you’re missing some of the requirements or don’t quite think you’re qualified? Please apply anyway. Research has shown that underrepresented groups in technology often shy away from roles which aren’t a 100% match. We aim to build a diverse team and will strongly consider applicants who bring many of the requirements plus have other experiences which round out their qualifications.
MotherDuck is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics. MotherDuck is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to applicants with physical and mental disabilities.
