Job Type: Part-time / Short-term Contract (40 hours per week for 2 weeks)
Engagement: Independent Contractor
Job Summary
This team is on a mission to stress-test the next generation of frontier AI systems to see if they can handle the rigors of real-world sales operations. We are looking for a seasoned Account Executive with deep QuickBooks expertise to serve as a subject matter expert. In this role, you won't just be selling; you will be the "manager" and "adversary" for the world’s most advanced AI models. Your goal is to design complex sales scenarios that challenge these systems and develop the grading rubrics used to evaluate their performance. If you are a sales pro who knows how to spot a mistake in a quote from a mile away, your expertise is needed to shape the future of AI in business.
Key Responsibilities
Create realistic, high-difficulty sales prompts based on real-world scenarios a sales manager, customer, or business owner would encounter.
Develop complex tasks including tiered pricing quotes, commission calculations, and converting QuickBooks sales exports into pipeline/forecast reports.
Run prompts against frontier AI models and perform "manager-level" reviews of the output to identify errors in logic, math, or professional tone.
Author objective scoring rubrics for each task, ensuring that other reviewers can consistently grade the AI's output based on pass/fail criteria (e.g., "The quote does not exceed the 15% discount cap").
Produce working deliverables such as spreadsheets, proposals, and email sequences that serve as "Gold Standard" examples for the AI to follow.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Sales, Account Management, or Sales Operations with a proven track record of hitting targets.
3-4+ years of hands-on experience using QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) for estimates, invoicing, customer records, and sales reporting.
Precise attention to detail and excellent written English skills.
Ability to commit to 40 hours per week for a high-intensity 2-week engagement.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex sales workflows into objective, checkable steps.
Nice-to-Haves
Prior experience in AI data annotation or prompt engineering.
Experience in sales coaching or managing junior reps (reviewing their work for accuracy).
Technical proficiency in spreadsheet modeling and data visualization.

ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
Supply is responsible for knowing everything happening in the compute market: who's building, who's buying, and on what terms. This role owns a specific and fast-moving slice of that map — emerging clouds and international markets — and owns the full relationship lifecycle in that space, from first outreach through to closed terms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain a real-time picture of the emerging cloud and international compute landscape — who's active, what they're building, and what terms are available
- Own the full partnership lifecycle in this space — from identifying and sourcing new providers, to negotiating terms, to ongoing relationship management
- Develop and manage relationships across a broad set of emerging and international providers, from account reps up through leadership
- Identify, structure, and help close opportunities where Baseten can move quickly to secure favorable capacity terms
- Define compelling value propositions tailored to different types of providers, rather than a one-size-fits-all pitch
- Partner closely with others in the team already covering this space to build out a durable, well-organized intelligence and relationship function
- Collaborate with the broader Supply and Deals functions to bring opportunities to the table and support negotiation when it's time to close
REQUIREMENTS
- Equal parts relationship-builder and operator — you can open a door and also drive it all the way to a closed deal, not just make the introduction
- Background as a broker or market participant in the compute/cloud space is a plus, though we're looking for relationship-builders, not high-pressure sales types
- Creative-thinkers with the ability to build strong rapport with all types of people at all levels of an organization
- Comfortable with a role that offers strong equity upside in exchange for being early and building something from scratch, versus a purely cash-heavy comp structure elsewhere in the market
- Self-directed and high-energy; thrives operating with real autonomy in an ambiguous, fast-changing market
NICE TO HAVE
- Existing network within emerging cloud providers, GPU brokers, or international compute markets
- Prior experience at a neocloud, GPU marketplace, or compute brokerage
- Experience building channel or ecosystem partnership programs at scale
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable law (by example, the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, where applicable).

Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
This role owns Baseten's relationships and market intelligence across hyperscalers and strategic neoclouds, including NVIDIA cloud partners. This is a technical and commercial role in equal measure: you'll evaluate capacity from the GPU to the data center, negotiate cost and terms with suppliers, and stay close enough to the market to develop and defend a real point of view on where it's heading. Given current market conditions, Baseten needs a much stronger pulse on this part of the market so we can track pricing, stay close to the right relationships, and move fast the moment more capacity is needed. This is a senior, experienced hire who will also help pair with and develop 1-2 junior to mid-level teammates covering the same space.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and maintain deep relationships across hyperscalers and strategic neoclouds (including NVIDIA cloud partners), working each organization from top to bottom rather than a single point of contact
- Maintain a consistent, "top of mind" presence with key accounts so Baseten is positioned to move quickly when capacity needs arise
- Evaluate capacity from the GPU to the data center — hardware generation, rack and node configuration, interconnect, power density, and cooling — so you know what a configuration will actually deliver, not just what the spec sheet claims
- Live in compute pricing daily: track rates by GPU generation, region, and contract term to keep Baseten informed and competitive
- Partner with the Deals function to negotiate terms — capacity commitments, deposits and payment timing, SLAs, and remedies — and bring agreements to close
- Build and defend a view on where the hyperscaler and neocloud market is heading — supply coming online, platform transitions, and regional or policy shifts — and turn it into concrete relationship and sourcing decisions
- Help mentor and pair with 1-2 junior to mid-level teammates building coverage in this same space
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- A relationship-builder with a strategic mindset — this is not an enterprise sales role, and we're specifically not looking for a traditional seller's approach
- Enough technical fluency with GPUs, racks, and data center infrastructure to evaluate what a supplier is actually offering, not just take their word for it
- Market instinct — you follow pricing closely, form independent views, and can explain why a rate moved and what it implies going forward
- Commercial judgment — comfortable with unit economics and contract structure, and know when a price implies something is wrong
- Experience building and sustaining multi-level relationships within large, complex organizations
- Strong judgment on when and how to escalate relationships to senior leadership for maximum impact
NICE TO HAVE
- Existing relationships within hyperscalers or major neocloud providers, including NVIDIA cloud partners
- NVIDIA or OEM allocation relationships — experience managing allocation, forecasting, or partner standing directly with a chip vendor or tier-1 OEM
- Comfort traveling to evaluate sites and infrastructure in person
- Experience in a compute, GPU marketplace, or infrastructure-adjacent relationship or business development role
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.

THE ROLE
As a member of the Capacity Strategy & Operations team, you will sit at the intersection of supply intelligence, demand forecasting, and cross-functional execution, turning a complex, fast-moving hardware market into a predictable, reliable foundation for our customers and internal engineering teams.
This is not a purely analytical role. You will own the end-to-end capacity planning process: from translating customer commitments and growth forecasts into concrete supply requirements, to coordinating fulfillment across vendors, finance, and the infrastructure team, to building the systems that make all of this repeatable and scalable. When supply is constrained and tradeoffs are unavoidable, you are the person in the room who can model the options, make a clear recommendation, and drive alignment fast.
You are a strong fit if you have operated at the intersection of strategy and execution before — someone who is equally comfortable building a capacity model in a spreadsheet and running a cross-functional war room when a customer deployment is at risk.
EXAMPLE INITIATIVES
- Demand-Supply Alignment Framework: Build and own the process that translates customer pipeline, signed commitments, and growth projections into a forward-looking GPU demand signal — so the team is never caught flat-footed when a customer scales faster than expected.
- Constrained Allocation Playbook: Define the decision framework for how Baseten allocates scarce GPU supply across competing customers and regions, including escalation paths and tradeoff criteria for leadership.
- Capacity War Room Ownership: Lead cross-functional response when a high-stakes capacity situation arises — coordinating across Sales, SRE, Finance, and Vendor relationships to resolve it with minimal customer disruption.
- Strategic Briefings for Leadership: Produce clear, concise capacity health reports and scenario analyses for senior leadership, enabling confident decisions on customer commitments, vendor negotiations, and CapEx allocation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the capacity planning process end to end: intake, triage, prioritization, fulfillment tracking, and post-mortem learnings
- Translate customer commitments, sales pipeline, and infrastructure growth targets into concrete GPU demand forecasts across regions, GPU types, and timelines
- Partner with Finance to model capacity scenarios, evaluate new supply opportunities, and support CapEx decision-making
- Work closely with the Capacity Acquisition team to align supply procurement with forward demand, flagging gaps and risks early
- Coordinate cross-functionally across Sales, SRE, and Infrastructure teams to resolve capacity conflicts and ensure customer commitments are honored
- Build and maintain the operational cadence that keeps capacity planning structured, visible, and free of ad-hoc Slack chaos
- Develop reporting and dashboards that give leadership a real-time view of capacity health, utilization trends, and risk exposure
- Identify recurring operational gaps in the capacity lifecycle and drive process improvements that reduce toil and improve reliability
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, finance, or a similarly analytical and execution-oriented role
- Demonstrated ability to own complex, cross-functional processes with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Strong quantitative and modeling skills — comfortable building demand forecasts, scenario analyses, and capacity models from scratch
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of distilling ambiguous situations into clear recommendations for senior leadership
- High ownership mindset: you identify what is broken, build the fix, and follow through until it is working
- Operates well under pressure and in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where the playbook does not yet exist
NICE TO HAVE
- Familiarity with GPU infrastructure, cloud platforms, or AI/ML ecosystem
- Experience in a high-growth startup or Series B+ environment where operational processes were being built from scratch
- Exposure to vendor or partner management, particularly in hardware, cloud, or infrastructure contexts

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ramp is building its UK partnerships ecosystem, and we're looking for a Channel Partner Manager who can turn relationships across a myriad of industries into meaningful customer opportunities. This is a generalist role for someone who can see where a partnership makes sense, move quickly, and build momentum across a varied partner portfolio.
You'll identify how and where Ramp can create value for a prospective partner's customer base, then carry the relationship through to qualified introductions and customer adoption. You'll learn what uniquely motivates each partner and turn early success into a repeatable flywheel of referrals. Some relationships will need to be built from the ground up; others will need sharper activation and follow-through. The mix will evolve, so you should be comfortable moving between different partner models while staying focused on commercial outcomes.
You'll work closely with Ramp's UK Sales team and colleagues in Partnerships, Marketing, Events, Product, and Engineering to connect the right partners and customers and make each introduction count.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and manage a varied portfolio of UK partners, adapting your approach to each relationship and industry.
- Identify how Ramp can create value for a prospective partner's customer base, then prioritize relationships with the clearest path to fast execution.
- Understand what matters to each partner and shape a referral motion that gives them a compelling reason to keep bringing relevant customers to Ramp.
- Create repeatable sources of qualified introductions through partner enablement, account mapping, joint campaigns, events, and warm networks.
- Use business communities, hospitality, and executive events when they can create relevant introductions and measurable commercial value.
- Coordinate partner introductions and follow-up with Ramp's Sales team so opportunities have a clear owner and a strong customer experience.
- Track partner activity from introduction through qualified opportunity and customer adoption; use the data to refine each motion and focus time on what works.
- Run regular partner reviews, keep commitments moving across teams, and represent Ramp credibly with partner executives and prospective customers.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years in partnerships, business development, partner sales, account management, or commercial strategy.
- A record of building trusted senior relationships and delivering measurable commercial results through partners.
- The ability to learn different partner business models quickly, understand their customers, and spot where Ramp can create value.
- Strong commercial judgement in prioritizing prospects, shaping warm introductions, and managing opportunities with sales teams.
- Experience executing partner go-to-market activity, such as enablement, account mapping, campaigns, events, or co-sell programs.
- Comfort using performance data to assess partner activity, report results, and adjust course.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills, with the ability to work across partner organizations and internal teams.
- A hands-on, organized working style that keeps multiple relationships and commitments moving at once.
- UK-based, with flexibility to travel across the UK and attend occasional evening or weekend partner events.
NICE TO HAVES
- A background in strategy consulting or investment banking.
- Experience creating B2B pipeline through partner networks, executive events, hospitality, or account-based campaigns.
- Familiarity with UK small and medium-sized businesses and the finance leaders who buy and use Ramp's products.
- Experience building a new partner motion in a growing market or adapting a successful approach to a new partner category.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Ramp has a prioritized UK partner portfolio with a clear customer opportunity and path to activation for each active relationship.
- Partners and Ramp teams know who owns each introduction, opportunity, and next step.
- Partner activity produces a consistent flow of relevant introductions, qualified opportunities, and customers.
- Partners continue to bring relevant referrals because the relationship creates value for their customers and for their own business.
- The strongest partner motions are repeatable, and the team has evidence to decide where to invest next.
BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO ALL FULL-TIME RAMP EMPLOYEES (GLOBAL)

Synthesia Roleplay Sessions is a training tool that lets people practice real conversations with AI avatars. Instead of just watching training videos, learners do interactive roleplay exercises, like practicing a sales pitch or handling a customer complaint with an AI coach. The AI gives instant feedback so people know what they did well and what to improve. Managers can use a dashboard to track which employees have completed their training, see how well they performed, and measure if the training actually improved their skills. The whole platform is built around learning by doing rather than just passive video watching.
For your ML engineer role, you'd be building the AI engine that makes the coaching work. That means creating the models that listen to what learners say during roleplay, score their performance, generate helpful feedback in real time, and decide how the AI avatar should respond next based on what the learner does. This is an applied ML position, not a research one. We expect you to have a good understanding of ML but on the other side to be a good product-focused software developer as you will be expected to work on different products.
Please bring with you:
— Ability to apply your machine learning knowledge to solve real product problems.
— At least seven (7) years of experience as a software engineer, with at least 2 years at senior level.
— Experience in a high-performing engineering team operating at scale, whether in a scale-up or established organisation recognised for strong engineering culture.
— Strong alignment with commercial success.
— Pragmatism and bias towards action.
— Comfort with fast iteration.
Why join us?
— We’re living the golden age of AI.
— Our culture is focused on building and empowering people to work fast.
— Serving 50,000+ customers including 50% of the Fortune 500.
— Proprietary AI technology built in-house by world-class AI researchers and engineers.
— Commitment to AI safety, ethics, and security.
The hiring process includes:
— Tech Recruiter Interview (30-40min) covering technical background and experience.
— Delivery and Impact Interview (60min) deep dive into past projects and impact.
— Technical Rounds including Work Scenario Round (75-90min) and System Design Technical Discussion (60min).
— Leadership Retrospective (60min) discussing collaboration, growth, and role expectations.
— Final debrief leading to offer or end of process.
Other important info:
— Preference for role based in-office or remote in UK, Germany, Switzerland or Ireland, with possible support for remote workers elsewhere in Europe.
— Salary starts at EUR/GBP/CHF 120,000 base plus RSUs.
— Full-time employment only, no contractors.
— 25 days of leave plus local holidays.
