Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation and growth drive everything we do. Our Data Science organisation sits at the heart of Deliveroo powering decision-making across our 3 sided marketplace.
We’re looking for a
Senior Data Scientist
to join our
London
team (working hybrid, 3 days in the office). In this role, you’ll drive high-quality decision-making to maximise impact.
We’re hiring multiple Senior Data Scientists across different areas of the business. Rather than hiring for one fixed team, we use the interview process to understand your strengths, interests and development areas, and then align you to the right scope, remit and team.
About Our Data Science Organisation
We have an outstanding Data Science organisation, with a mission to drive the highest quality decision-making across our marketplace. We work throughout the company, in product, operations, and platform teams and are uniquely placed to use data to help make better decisions and improve data literacy across Deliveroo. We are great communicators, and move fast to serve our customers a little better every day.
Our community is highly active, with guest lectures, study groups, mentorship programmes and a robust technical review process. Data Scientists can progress equally as IC leads or managers.
Our data scientists come from all kinds of backgrounds but have excellence in common. Many are formally trained in data science, many are not.
What You’ll Be Doing
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Proactive Impact Delivery:
You will independently identify, define, and deliver impactful work that aligns with business goals and metrics, operating with minimal guidance to provide high value to your team and the broader organisation. You will own delivery end-to-end, ensuring the delivery of fast, high-quality, solutions that meet business needs.
Navigating Ambiguity and Complexity:
You will excel at deconstructing broad, ambiguous problem spaces into structured technical roadmaps, managing projects that require both deep team-specific rigour and an understanding of how they intersect with adjacent systems.
Strategic Technical Execution:
Drive strategic decision-making by selecting the most effective tool or method for the task, maintaining a focus on high-quality execution and measurable results. You will act as a well-trusted strategic partner to stakeholders, using analytics, effective communication and domain expertise to influence roadmaps.
Experimentation and measurement:
Design and lead measurement strategies that drive product direction, ranging from simple A/B tests to complex experimental designs. You will be equally capable of applying alternative causal inference techniques when standard trials aren't feasible, ensuring the business moves based on data driven insights.
Organisational Alignment
: Actively contribute to the broader Analytics community, driving L+D initiatives and cross-functional collaboration. You will ensure we are delivering the "right" things org-wide by aligning technical work with overarching business strategy and shared best practices.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
Significant experience in Data Science (or similar) roles.
A pragmatic and adaptable approach, with a strong focus on delivering impact efficiently at pace.
Excellent people skills — you'll be meeting with a range of both technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into data science problems
Experience leading both simple and more complex experiment designs, with the ability to proactively unpick insights to steer strategic decision making
Great communication skills - in person, in writing, in code; to technical and non-technical audiences.
Through solid analysis, provide clear and actionable recommendations that influence the team's roadmap.
Effective problem-solving, demonstrating an ability to successfully address complex and ambiguous challenges.
Ability to think creatively and insightfully about business problems
Proficiency with analytical tools like R/Python and familiarity with SQL. Proficiency with Cursor/AI tools to deliver impactful, high quality work efficiently is also valued

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation and growth drive everything we do. Our Global Engineering teams tackle complex technical challenges across a global, three-sided marketplace, building and scaling systems that serve millions of customers, riders and partners every day.
We're looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our London office as part of a Global DoorDash Engineering team (working hybrid, 3 days in the office).
Our New Verticals team exists to grow monthly active usage outside of restaurant ordering — groceries, retail, and everything in between. That means turning someone who only orders restaurant food into someone who also uses the app for a grocery run, and turning dormant users into active ones. You'll work on the surfaces that make that happen: the homepage, vertical landing pages, and the notifications that bring people back. This role sits closer to the personalisation and ranking side of that mission, working alongside colleagues across DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt.
What You'll Be Doing
Build and improve ranking models for vertical landing pages (grocery, retail), deciding what a user sees first when they land on a store page
Design models that blend new-vertical content into a homepage built around restaurant ordering, without disrupting the core experience
Build personalisation models that translate a user's existing behaviour into relevant recommendations for verticals they haven't tried yet
Contribute to notification targeting — who gets notified, with what message, and when, to drive adoption of new verticals
What You'll Need to Thrive
Minimum 3+ years of experience as an ML Engineer or Data Scientist, with a proven ability to write high-quality production code in Python
Experience with end-to-end model productionisation
A bias to simplicity, where you care most about achieving impact
Background in personalisation, ranking, or recommender systems; exposure to causal inference or uplift modelling is a genuine plus but not expected

Our Data Science organisation sits at the heart of Deliveroo, powering decision-making across product, commercial and operational teams through experimentation and causal inference.
We’re hiring multiple Data Science Managers across different areas of the business. All of these roles are at the same level. Rather than hiring for one fixed team, we use the interview process to understand your strengths, interests and development areas, and then align you to the right scope and team at the end of the process, based on your background, interview performance, preferences and current business needs.
We’re also advertising some opportunities separately where particular domain experience is especially relevant. You only need to submit one application, as we’ll consider your profile across all suitable Data Science Manager vacancies. Before an offer is made, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the proposed team, either virtually or at our London headquarters, and learn more about the role’s scope and priorities.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll own the analytical direction and measurable impact of a product or business area, while leading and developing a high-performing team of data scientists or machine learning engineers.
Our Data Science Managers work across a range of consumer, product and commercial areas. Depending on the team you join, your work could focus on areas such as customer retention and loyalty, pricing and promotions, discovery and personalisation, or customer acquisition and engagement.
Across all roles, you’ll lead and develop your team, set the analytical direction for your area and decide which problems are worth solving. You’ll ensure data science work translates into better product and commercial decisions, not just analysis.
You’ll remain hands-on while managing a team, partnering with Product, Engineering, Ops, Marketing and Finance as a thought partner. You’ll set the bar for analytical rigour, prioritisation and impact across noisy metrics, real trade-offs and strong stakeholder opinions.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
Experience line managing data scientists and supporting their career development
A strong background as a senior individual contributor, with hands-on experience in experimentation, causal inference or applied machine learning
Proven ability to identify high-impact opportunities and turn insights into clear strategy and execution
Confidence working with senior stakeholders and explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where prioritisation and judgement matter as much as technical skill
Why Join Us?
At Deliveroo, you’ll work on real-world problems at global scale, across a three-sided marketplace that is constantly evolving.
We’re food lovers, problem solvers, community organisers and more, united by a shared drive to make things better. Working here, you can expect:
High autonomy to shape strategy and deliver meaningful impact
Support to learn and grow through L&D programmes, mentoring and peer learning
A strong focus on wellbeing, with benefits that vary by country
A place to belong, with a diverse global workforce and active employee communities
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
At Deliveroo, we know that a great workplace reflects the world around us and that true diversity and inclusion make us stronger, more creative, and better at what we do. We’re committed to fostering an environment where everyone can do their best work and feel they belong.
We believe in equality of opportunity and welcome candidates from all backgrounds regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic background, religion, or belief.
If you have a disability or long-term health condition and need support to apply for one of our roles, or require any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, you’ll have the opportunity to let us know once you’ve submitted your application. We’ll share details on how to request support so we can ensure you have a fair and equitable experience.
If you’re excited about making a real impact in a fast-moving marketplace and growing your career alongside ambitious, supportive teams, we’d love to hear from you!

The Role
As a Program Manager for our Operational Support team, you will lead the design and delivery of large-scale programmes across the SMB Hub — from structured engagement frameworks to communications and change initiatives — that keep the Hub's commercial priorities moving and measurable. As a Program Manager, you will work closely with Sales, New Partner Experience (NMX), Account Management and Partner Support leads to ensure the right initiatives land at the right time, applying a recognised delivery methodology to keep programmes on track.
This is an ideal role for an individual with strong project and time management skills who can manage multiple concurrent programmes end-to-end, while also designing long-term frameworks that drive lasting change across a large, fast-moving operation.
The Team
The SMB Hub brings together our commercial teams — Sales, New Partner Experience (NPX), Account Management and Partner Support — responsible for Deliveroo's relationships with thousands of independent restaurant and retail partners across Europe, supported through our in-house contact centre in Manchester and third-party providers.
The Operational Support team is the glue that holds the Hub together. Within the team, we own workforce management (WFM), commercial excellence, tooling and automation — and this role is central to delivering change, ensuring effective communication throughout the Hub, and driving commercial excellence for our partners and the Hub as a whole.
Core Responsibilities
Programme & Change Management
Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale SMB initiatives — from scoping and governance through to sign-off, communications and reporting — so senior teams can track commercial impact.
Apply a consistent, recognised methodology (PRINCE2 or Six Sigma) to give initiatives clear milestones, risk management and quality control.
Design and embed a structured engagement framework for the Hub, defining how initiatives are prioritised, resourced and measured.
Strategic Planning
Translate Hub priorities into actionable delivery plans that support commercial objectives, such as Ad revenue growth and partner adoption of Ads and Offers.
Monitor delivery and engagement metrics (e.g. Peakon, adoption rates) and use the insight to adjust plans, manage risk and support decision-making.
Collaborate with senior leadership across Sales, NMX and Account Management to align delivery capacity with Hub priorities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Own the SMB communications strategy — channel ownership, sequencing and accountability — to improve clarity and consistency of key messages.
Produce clear, structured reporting that translates operational detail into decisions for senior stakeholders.
Act as the conduit between Sales, NPX, Account Management, Partner Support and Ops, keeping a wide stakeholder group aligned and informed.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading delivery of the Hub's structured engagement framework, defining how initiatives are prioritised and measured.
Designing and implementing strategic communications and change initiatives, ensuring cross-functional alignment and coaching teams to embed new ways of working.
Applying PRINCE2 or Six Sigma to bring rigour, clear milestones and risk management to SMB programmes.
Delivering the Hub's career pathway and capability-building initiatives, connecting development and learning to progression.
Championing change and identifying new ways of working with Sales, NPX and Account Management to ensure agents have the right tools and content.
Partnering with the commercial excellence and central teams to build robust plans that drive change through better engagement, improved efficiency or increased capability.
Linking delivery directly to commercial outcomes, such as Ad revenue growth and partner adoption of Ads and Offers.
Identifying risks and inconsistencies before they affect delivery, escalating and problem-solving with appropriate autonomy.
What You'll Need to Thrive
This is a delivery-focused role that will require an individual who can manage a number of competing priorities across a live, fast-moving Hub while keeping sight of the bigger picture. The successful candidate will be structured, comfortable applying a recognised delivery methodology, and confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
The required skills include:
Strong project and programme management skills, ideally with a PRINCE2 or Six Sigma qualification (or clear demonstrable working knowledge)
Excellent time management — able to prioritise, sequence and protect delivery quality across multiple workstreams
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to flex style for different audiences, including senior stakeholders
Proven ability to lead and deliver complex plans against deadlines, with a clear prioritisation model
Comfortable working with data and metrics to track and evidence impact, not just activity
A collaborative approach; able to bring the right people together across functions and build trust quickly
The desired experiences include:
Typically 3+ years' experience in project or programme delivery, operations, or a comparable environment
Is either Six Sigma or Prince2 methodology (or equivalent) certified (Preferred)
Experience delivering communications, engagement or change initiatives at scale
Experience working within a commercial or contact-centre operating environment

Location: London, United Kingdom - Deliveroo
Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation and growth drive everything we do. Our Engineering teams tackle complex technical challenges across a global, three-sided marketplace, building and scaling systems that serve millions of customers, riders and partners every day.
From real-time logistics to resilient infrastructure and marketplace optimisation, we design, build and operate technology that powers Deliveroo’s growth at scale.
We’re looking for a
Senior Android Engineer
to join our SDUI team. In this role, you’ll help us build and scale our server-driven UI (
SDUI
) platform, enabling teams to build a UI once and have it deploy seamlessly to iOS, Android, and Web without redeploying a new app — performantly and consistently. This role is based in our London office with a hybrid setup, typically three days in the office.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the SDUI team. We own the Android rendering layer of our server-driven UI platform, and the backend services that drive it, ensuring every consumer surface built on it is fast, correct, and visually indistinguishable from native.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Drive technical execution
by designing, building, and evolving the Android SDUI renderer — and the backend services (Kotlin, Golang, Protobuf) that feed it — to handle complex, real-time UI updates at scale.
Lead architectural improvements
and code reviews, ensuring the maintainability, visibility, and operational health of the renderer as more teams build on top of it.
Partner with cross-functional disciplines
(iOS and Web renderer engineers, product and design teams) to plan rollouts, align on platform decisions, and influence the roadmap.
Own large-scale initiatives
from design to delivery — including the push to bring SDUI motion and interaction quality to native-equivalent, and the ongoing migration off legacy rendering systems.
Support the growth of others
by mentoring colleagues and taking an active role in our engineering hiring process.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
5+ years building Android applications at scale
, with a deep understanding of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Backend development experience
, specifically with Golang, Kotlin, and Protobuf, and the comfort to move between client and server code as the work demands.
Experience building or maintaining a server-driven / declarative UI system
, with a keen interest in pushing what's possible with declarative rendering — bonus points if that included Litho or another DSL-based renderer.
A product mindset
, and the instinct to apply it to how you design platform services for the teams that build on top of them.
Demonstrated ownership of technical delivery
within cross-functional teams, guiding implementation choices and technical design for a platform other teams build on.
Strong communication skills
, working across time zones with iOS, Web, and Backend counterparts, plus PMs and multiple product teams.
A pride in software craft
, with a commitment to writing readable, well-designed, and thoroughly tested mobile code.
Bonus points for exposure to Figma-to-code tooling, design-token/theming systems, or accessibility work in mobile rendering.
Why Join Us?
At Deliveroo, you’ll do work that matters — solving real problems for a platform that every consumer-facing team builds on. We’re renderer engineers, systems thinkers, and platform builders, brought together by a shared drive to make shipping UI changes fast and safe. Working here you can expect to:
🔧 Solve meaningful problems at real scale
— Work on a rendering platform that every consumer surface depends on, used by millions of customers every day.
