An overview of this role
As a Staff Security Governance Engineer, you will be the individual contributor who owns how GitLab writes, maintains, communicates, and measures its security policies and standards. You will turn emerging regulations, including AI regulation, into clear requirements that engineering, product, and legal teams can act on, and you will use automation to keep governance lightweight and continuous rather than a point-in-time exercise. You will sit on the Security Governance team within Security Assurance and work closely with Security Compliance, Security Risk, and GRC Engineering. You will report to the Director, Customer Trust & Security Governance.
What you'll do
Policies and standards
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of GitLab's security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines: drafting, stakeholder review, approval, publication, annual review, and retirement.
Define and run the exception management process, including risk-based approvals, expiry tracking, and trend reporting that shows where policies need to change.
Run policy attestation and investigate non-adherence.
Keep policies clear, practical, and aligned with how GitLab's engineering teams work in a DevSecOps environment.
Regulatory and framework alignment
Monitor emerging regulations and standards (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, sector or regional requirements) and partner with Legal well ahead of compliance deadlines to assess impact and update policy.
Maintain mappings between our policies and frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, FedRAMP, and NIST CSF, so requirements are written once and reused.
Measurement and assurance
Define KPIs for policy adherence and report trends to Security leadership.
Run targeted internal assessments of adherence and drive remediation to closure.
Support audit activities by coordinating evidence, testing, and remediation management.
Customer trust
Support customer questionnaires and customer meetings, and help turn recurring customer requests into better policies and self-service content.
Automation and AI
Identify and implement automation and AI-assisted workflows for policy management, evidence collection, control monitoring, and assessment work, in partnership with GRC Engineering.
Technical leadership
Act as a technical and program leader across Security, Product, Legal, and Engineering, influencing without direct authority.
Mentor other team members and help set the direction of the Security Governance roadmap.
What you'll bring
10+ years in security governance, GRC, or IT risk, with hands-on ownership of a policy and standards lifecycle and measurable outcomes, ideally at a global technology company.
Working knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, FedRAMP, and NIST CSF, including how to put them into practice, not only how to read them
Experience creating and maintaining an enterprise Information Security Management System (ISMS), ideally including hands on involvement in ISO 27001 certification or recertification.
Understanding of cloud, SaaS, and DevSecOps practices, and the ability to write policy that engineers will follow.
A risk-based mindset that balances compliance with real security risk.
Demonstrated use of automation or AI to reduce manual GRC work.
Strong written and verbal communication, including translating technical concepts for engineers, executives, auditors, and customers.
Experience collaborating with Security, Product, Legal, and Engineering.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar are highly desirable.
What success looks like
First 30 days: Assessed the current policy library and exception process, built relationships with key stakeholders, and proposed a prioritized roadmap.
First 90 days: Uplift the existing security policy library to align with NIST CSF, ISO 27001/27017/27018/42001, and PCI-DSS.
First 120 days: A refreshed review cadence is in place, exception reporting is running, and can demonstrate a measurable improvement in policy adherence.
First six months: Develop Policy as Code and collaborate with Security, Product, Legal, and Engineering for implementation into existing workflows.
About the team
The Security Assurance organization helps GitLab build and maintain trust by strengthening how we approach security, compliance, and risk. Security Governance sits within it and owns customer trust, security awareness, policies and standards, and other governance functions. Our counterparts are Security Compliance, Security Risk, and GRC Engineering.
You will join a small team of four direct reports under the Director, where each person has broad scope and visible impact. We work remote-first and asynchronously, and we write things down and share them openly, so you'll draft and revise policies and standards in the open with input from Security, Legal, Product, and Engineering.

1Password is growing. We’ve surpassed $500M in ARR and we’re continuing to accelerate, earning a spot on the Forbes Cloud 100 for four years in a row and teaming up with iconic partners like Oracle Red Bull Racing.
About 1Password
At 1Password, we’re building the foundation for a safe, productive digital future. Our mission is to unleash employee productivity without compromising security by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign-in is secure, and every device is trusted. We innovated the market-leading enterprise password manager and pioneered Unified Access Management, a new cybersecurity category built for the way people and AI agents work today. As one of the most loved brands in cybersecurity, we take a human-centric approach in everything from product strategy to user experience. Over 180,000 businesses, from Fortune 100 leaders to the world’s most innovative AI companies, trust 1Password to help their teams securely adopt the SaaS and AI tools they need to do their best work.
If you're excited about the opportunity to contribute to the digital safety of millions, to work alongside a team of curious, driven individuals, and to solve hard problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you. Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future.
We're hiring a Senior Developer Advocate to be the face and voice of 1Password's developer story — especially our push into identity and access control for AI agents. You'll build hands-on demos and videos that show developers exactly how to use 1Password, carry that content into a genuine presence on Reddit and X, grow the community around it, and represent 1Password on stage at major developer conferences.
You'll report to the Director of Developer Relations as an individual contributor.
How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
What You'll Do
- Build demos and videos. Hands-on, code-first demos and short-form videos showing developers how to use 1Password — particularly for securing AI agents, service accounts, and machine identities.
- Build a social presence. Own and grow 1Password's developer voice on Reddit, Youtube and X — daily posting, engaging in threads, answering questions, participating authentically in developer communities.
- Represent us at conferences. Speak at and represent 1Password at major developer conferences (AWS re:Invent, KubeCon, and others), turning in-person moments into demos, clips, and content that keep working after the talk ends.
- Shape open source strategy. Prioritize and guide what 1Password open sources — SDKs, integrations, MCP servers/tools — and how that drives developer trust and adoption.
- Create supporting content. Blog posts, tutorials, and reference code that give developers something to copy, fork, and ship.
- Build community. Turn one-off engagement into an ongoing developer community — repeat contributors, recurring conversations, people who show up because they trust the voice, not just the content.
What We're Looking For
- Technical fluency: 5+ years in technical roles (software/platform engineering, developer advocacy, solutions engineering, or similar). Comfortable writing real code for demos, not just narrating slides.
- Existing X, Youtube or Reddit presence as a technical voice, with a track record and an audience.
- Agent-building experience: Hands-on experience building AI agents and working with MCP (Model Context Protocol).
- Content production skills: Can conceive, script, build, and edit demo videos and short-form content.
- Community-building experience: Has grown a developer community from scratch or materially expanded one — not just posted into an existing audience.
- Open source judgment: Experience contributing to or maintaining open source projects.
- Public speaking: Experience speaking at major developer conferences (re:Invent, KubeCon, or similar).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills.
Bonus points:
- Experience with security-conscious developer communities or products (identity, auth, DevSecOps).
- Contributions to or maintenance of MCP servers, agent frameworks, or related open source tooling.
USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $133,000 USD and $186,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
At 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.
This posting is for an existing vacancy.
Our culture
At 1Password, we prioritize collaboration, clear and transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and alignment with our core values: keep it simple, lead with honesty, and put people first.
You’ll be part of a team that challenges the status quo, and is excited to experiment and iterate in search of the best solution. That said, 1Password is not for everyone https://blog.1password.com/inside-the-culture-powering-1passwords-next-chapter/. Our work is demanding, we strive for excellence, and the pace is fast. We need people who are keen to take on challenging problems, who seek feedback to grow, and who are driven to make an impact. If you're looking for a place where you can settle into a comfortable routine, this might not be the right fit for you. We’re looking for individuals who are proven experts in their fields, as well as those who are highly adaptable, can thrive in ambiguity and through change, are curious, and above all deliver results.
How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password.
This approach extends to our hiring process—candidates are welcome to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully during the application process.

Who we are
Our mission is to bring clarity and control to the world's most complex codebases. AI is accelerating code creation, but the infrastructure to understand, oversee, and evolve that code hasn't kept pace. Sourcegraph gives engineering organizations full visibility across their systems, precise context for their agents, and the ability to execute coordinated code changes at scale. As agentic development becomes the dominant engineering paradigm, we provide the context layer teams need to take control of their codebase.
With Code Search, Deep Search, MCP, and Agentic Batch Changes, we deliver on that mission today - giving engineering teams and their AI tools the cross-repo context to navigate massive codebases with confidence, and the ability to make changes across hundreds of repositories at once.
Companies like Stripe, Reddit, and Leidos rely on Sourcegraph to ship faster and with higher quality. We're backed by a16z, Sequoia, and Redpoint, and proud to operate as a globally distributed team that values high agency, direct communication, and customer love.
If you want to build the infrastructure that lets every engineering team - and every agent they deploy - operate on their codebase with confidence, join us.

About
Customer.io
Over 9,000 companies — from scrappy startups to global brands — use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day.
Customer.io
powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.
About the role
Hi, my name is Lauren, Senior Manager of Customer Success at
Customer.io
, and I'm looking for a Customer Success Manager to join our Mid-Market, APAC or EMEA team.
You'll own the success of a dedicated portfolio of roughly 40-60 Mid-Market customers — acting as their strategic advisor from onboarding through long-term adoption, and driving commercial outcomes across your book of business. You'll partner closely with Account Management, Technical Support, Product, Solutions, and Engineering to help customers realize real value throughout their lifecycle.
We don't need you to be a marketing expert or a deeply technical one. We need someone who's an expert at asking the right questions — someone who digs until they find the real problem, not just the reported one, and who can influence a customer to make progress and move through blockers. You'll be curious and eager to understand our app well enough to take a customer's use case and turn our features into outcomes that matter to them.
What we value
Curiosity about the business behind the customer:
You're genuinely interested in how companies operate and enjoy learning your customers' industries and goals. You ask about the
why
behind a request before recommending a solution.
Trusted advisor, not ticket-taker:
You build relationships that turn you into a strategic partner rather than someone who simply answers questions. You have well-formed opinions about customer experience and aren't shy about sharing them.
Ownership of commercial outcomes:
You see CS as a value and growth engine. You take ownership of outcomes across your book and naturally look for opportunities to create more value, partnering with AM on retention and expansion.
Comfort in ambiguity:
You thrive on complex, open-ended customer challenges — bringing together business context, technical understanding, and creativity to solve them. You're calm under pressure, highly organized, and able to juggle competing priorities across a full portfolio.
AI-forward thinking:
You're comfortable using AI tools to improve your own productivity and your customers' outcomes, and you bring a growth mindset toward experimenting with new AI-powered ways of working.
What you'll do
Manage a dedicated portfolio of ~40-60 Mid-Market customers as their strategic partner across the full customer lifecycle
Lead onboarding — running kickoffs and milestone check-ins, and guiding customers to their first measurable outcomes
Build a deep understanding of each customer's goals and translate them into measurable, mutual success plans
Provide proactive, consultative guidance through regular strategic touchpoints and value-driven conversations
Monitor customer health, spot adoption trends, and address risks before they impact success
Partner with Account Management to support retention and expansion, and coordinate with Technical Support, Product, Solutions, and Engineering when deeper expertise is needed
Own escalations end to end — from identification through resolution — keeping customers informed and confident throughout
Advocate for your customers internally by sharing product feedback and influencing improvements to the customer experience
Drive AI adoption across your portfolio — coaching customers on AI-powered solutions and modeling what AI-native Customer Success looks like
Contribute to the broader CS organization by sharing best practices, improving playbooks, and participating in webinars and enablement initiatives
What we're looking for
2+ years as a Customer Success Manager for technical products, in a SaaS environment
Experience communicating with software developers in a technical capacity
Opinionated about customer experience — you should have well-formed views in order to give customers strategic advice
Fluency in French, Russian, and/or Spanish (we are prioritizing multilingual candidates for this role)
Located in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom or Ireland
Bonus: experience designing lifecycle messages

An overview of this role
Credit-based and consumption-based offerings are becoming central to how GitLab monetizes. The systems that meter, rate, and bill that consumption sit underneath all of it. You'll own the backend usage billing pipeline and its product direction while supporting the Monetization Platform and Infrastructure team as it modernizes the foundations underneath it.
When another GitLab team launches a credit-consuming capability, you'll help them make it billable across GitLab.com, self-managed, and GitLab Dedicated. This is a technical, systems-oriented product role: success means building a monetization platform other teams can launch on quickly and correctly, rather than shipping customer-facing UI.
What you’ll do
Own the product direction for metering, aggregation, and rating in GitLab's usage billing pipeline, including the Zuora and CustomersDot integrations that turn usage into invoiced revenue.
Make onboarding a new credit-consuming capability a repeatable process rather than a bespoke project each time.
Partner with product teams on what to instrument, how to meter and price usage across GitLab.com, self-managed, and GitLab Dedicated, and what it takes to be billable on launch day. Stay ahead of their roadmaps so billing doesn't delay launches.
Prioritize pipeline scalability, performance, and reliability as consumption grows, balancing those investments against new capability enablement.
Own billing defect detection and remediation so errors surface before they reach a customer's invoice and billing outcomes remain auditable.
Support the Monetization Platform and Infrastructure team by framing problems, explaining the value of platform investments, and prioritizing them against operational risk.
Define and track measures of billing accuracy, pipeline reliability, cost to serve per capability, and time to monetize so teams can make informed pricing decisions.
What you’ll bring
Experience owning the product direction of consumption- or usage-based billing systems.
Experience with Zuora or a comparable billing and revenue platform, and an understanding of how product and finance systems interact.
Experience with prepaid, commitment, or credit-drawdown pricing models (balances, reservations, overage, expiration) and the edge cases they create in billing and revenue.
Experience launching new products or pricing models while coordinating across engineering, Finance, Legal, Compliance and go-to-market teams.
Ability to bring together teams you don't manage around work their launches depend on.
Experience defining problems for platform or backend teams whose users are often other teams.
Clear written communication in an all-remote, asynchronous environment; you'll use issues, epics, and direction pages to lead.
Familiarity with developer tooling, financial audit or revenue recognition, or an engineering background can help, but isn't required.
You use AI tools as part of how you work: prototyping, analysis, spec writing, and investigation.
About the team
In Monetization, we coordinate across engineering, Finance, Legal, Compliance and go-to-market on new products and pricing models. Our remote, asynchronous work uses written issues, and epics to keep decisions visible.

BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
We are looking for a Deputy Regional Information Security Officer to own ICT security, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance across a portfolio of entities at different stages of maturity, from established licensed operations to new markets launching under frameworks. This is not a support function. You will be the named security officer for your entities, accountable to their boards and their regulators.
This is a high visibility, high trust role for a security governance professional who thrives at the intersection of technology, compliance, and financial services, and who is energised by applying established group frameworks to the local needs of a growing regulated entity.
Payward is one of the world's most trusted and secure digital asset platforms, operating across a growing network of regulated entities spanning Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. As we expand into new markets and deepen our regulatory footprint, the demand for embedded, senior-level ICT security leadership at the entity level has never been higher.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Prepare, contribute and report to regional risk governance and board committee meetings, highlighting control status, risk exposure, and readiness
- Execute risk assessments and control testing across UAE operations in line with VARA cybersecurity guidelines and security best practices
- Maintain and review Business Impact Assessments (BIA), integrating findings into global resilience planning
- Contribute to Business Continuity Plan (BCP) documentation, testing, and updates, including entity-specific scenarios
- Collaborate with Group Security and IT to:
- Align UAE-specific regulatory controls with global policies and control frameworks
- Contribute to the development of security policies to meet international and UAE compliance requirements
- Conduct security control validation and document evidence for internal/external audits
- Participate in remediation planning for audit findings and track progress to closure
- Support the RISO in preparing and submitting regulatory documentation to regulators
- Prepare and present security and resilience reports for internal governance committees and local entity management
- Assist in responses to regulatory examinations, including due diligence and compliance queries
- Liaise with compliance and legal teams to interpret regulatory changes and propose control adaptations
- Participate in the regional incident response process, assist with post-incident reviews, and support continuous improvement activities
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to embed security requirements into operational processes
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Regulatory Governance
- Serve as the named ICT security officer for your appointed entities, with formal accountability for security risk, ICT governance, and resilience oversight at board level
- Prepare and present security, risk, and resilience materials to entity boards, with material review and coaching from the Global RISO Lead beforehand
- Act as the primary point of contact for VARA and other relevant regulatory authorities on ICT and security matters -- including examinations, inspections, licensing interactions, and ongoing supervisory dialogue
- Support entity go live processes by implementing and localizing established group ICT governance frameworks for new market launches, ensuring they meet UAE regulatory requirements and entity specific needs
- As the portfolio evolves, engage with additional regulatory frameworks with support from the broader RISO team
- ICT Risk and Security
- Lead ICT and security risk assessments for your appointed entity, escalating material risks through local governance and the Global RISO Lead
- Maintain and adapt entity level policies and procedures to align with group standards and UAE regulatory requirements
- Coordinate control testing, evidence documentation, and audit preparation with global security and compliance teams
- Manage the classification, escalation, and regulatory reporting of ICT-related incidents within the timeframes required by applicable regulators
- Operational Resilience
- Lead business impact assessments, critical function mapping, and business continuity planning at the entity level
- Oversee continuity and recovery testing, ensuring outputs meet regulatory expectations and feed back into global resilience planning
- Maintain oversight of ICT third-party dependencies and outsourcing arrangements in line with regulatory requirements
- Group Liaison
- Act as a key local liaison between UAE entities, the RISO team, Group Security, and Compliance
- Drive local implementation of group frameworks, policies, and resilience standards, adapting them where jurisdiction-specific requirements demand
- Represent entity priorities in group-led security initiatives and governance forums
WHAT YOU BRING
- 7+ years of experience in information security governance, ICT risk management, or regulatory compliance in a regulated financial services, fintech, or virtual asset environment
- Direct experience as a named regulatory contact, involvement in regulatory examinations, supervisory interactions, licensing processes, or equivalent
- Familiarity with UAE regulatory frameworks. Experience with VARA or other virtual asset / crypto-native regulatory regimes is a significant advantage and strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to implement, adapt, and maintain compliance or governance frameworks within a regulated environment
- Experience conducting risk assessments, business impact analyses, and resilience planning at the entity level
- Familiarity with ICT outsourcing and third-party risk management within group structures
- Ability to translate technical risk into board-level narrative and regulatory-grade documentation
- Comfortable operating across multiple jurisdictions simultaneously, each at a different stage of regulatory maturity
- Strong project management skills and the ability to drive outcomes across cross-functional, globally distributed teams
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, or ISO27001 Lead Implementer preferred
- Familiarity with EU frameworks such as DORA and MiCA is strongly preferred
WHY THIS ROLE
- You will hold a named role within a regulated entity with accountability and board-level visibility
- You will operate at the frontier of virtual asset regulation -- VARA is one of the most advanced and fastest-evolving crypto regulatory frameworks in the world, and you will be shaping how Kraken meets it from day one of market entry
- You will build ICT governance programs from scratch for new market entries, not inherit and maintain what others have set up
- Exposure to local governance forums, regulators, and senior stakeholders, with remote guidance and preparation support from the Global RISO Lead
- The scope of this role is intentionally designed to grow -- as Kraken's entity footprint expands, so does the portfolio and the regulatory breadth you will be exposed to, potentially including Asian and EU frameworks such as DORA
- You will join a remote-first, international team shaping the future of crypto asset governance and resilience across some of the world's most demanding regulatory environments
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.
As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.
