Toronto, Canada, hybrid (preferred)

Responsibilities include:
I

● Own the Canada creator/influencer strategy across the launch calendar, ensuring creator activity ladders to clear campaign objectives (awareness, excitement, cultural conversation, community engagement) and fits the realities of gaming communities
● Lead paid influencer partnerships end-to-end with agency support: creator sourcing and evaluation, outreach, negotiation, contracting, briefing, deliverable management, approvals, and post-campaign reporting.
● Develop creator campaign briefs that translate campaign strategy into creator-native storytelling (what to say, what to show, what to avoid), and ensure creators clearly understand product positioning and key beats.
● Partner with Social, PR/Comms, Local Campaign Managers and Global PlayStation teams to integrate creators into broader campaigns and community moments.
● Coordinate creator “capture plans” and access moments (e.g., content days, livestream plans, behind-the-scenes access, event activations) and provide on-site/on-set support when required to ensure optimal content capture and creator experience.
● Stay ahead of creator platform trends, emerging voices, and cultural moments in Canada, proactively identifying opportunities where PlayStation can show up with relevance.
● Run and grow the PlayStation creator and talent partnership program in Canada: recruiting and onboarding creators, tiering/relationship management, ongoing communications, community touchpoints, and program operating rhythms
● Identify, build, and maintain relationships with key influencers, content creators, and power users, evaluating the impact of these partnerships on an on-going basis.
● Develop and implement content creator tactics for key software and brand campaigns, collaborating closely with the Global Marketing Talent Partnerships team.
● Create and define an always-on engagement strategy.
● Ensure top-tier influencers are informed about upcoming feature and product launches, major content updates, and key announcements.
● Define and report performance measurement for creator work (reach, views/watch time, engagement quality, sentiment, share of conversation, community growth signals), and translate results into actionable recommendations for future launches.
● Establish metrics to grow and engage the content creator community; regularly analyze sentiment and performance data and adjust strategies accordingly.
● Own creator/influencer governance and operational hygiene: creator database management, documentation of learnings, and consistent sharing of best practices across teams.
● Manage budgets for creator partnership fees, in-kinds exchanges and productions in Canada, including forecasting, tracking, and post-mortems that connect spend to outcomes.
● Foster positive and supportive conversations with content creators around content opportunities, contests, and initiatives relevant to the player community.
● Distribute player surveys and collect feedback from core players on a regular basis.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with key community leaders to better understand community needs and insights.
● Protect PlayStation brand and community trust by setting clear creator standards: brand safety, inclusion, community conduct expectations, and Local Canadian disclosure compliance.
Administration:
● Manage budgets and timelines for influencer and content creator initiatives, working with agencies to identify and vet the right influencers and ensure content is delivered on schedule for local and global review as needed.
● Define and manage campaign budgets, thoroughly reviewing proposed spend prior to approval and ensuring all activities remain within agreed financial parameters.
● Oversee monthly budget forecasting and financial administration related to influencer and content creation programs.
● Monitor social sentiment and consumer reactions to announcements, capturing key insights, and sharing findings with partners across SIE territories and global teams.
● Deliver comprehensive post-launch evaluations summarizing performance, insights, results against key metrics, and actionable learnings.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
● 5+ years of experience in influencer marketing, partnerships, or creator programs, ideally working with consumer-facing brands or products.
● Proven creator/influencer experience with end-to-end ownership of paid partnerships (strategy → talent selection → negotiation/contracts → execution → reporting)
● Demonstrated ability to lead agency partners and talent-driven content productions (creative development, production planning, approvals, timelines, budgets)
● Exceptional briefing and storytelling ability: can translate a launch strategy into authentic creator-native content moments.
● Deep fluency in gaming culture and creator ecosystems, including how gamers discover, discuss, and adopt new games/products across social platforms.
● Strong creator judgment: ability to spot culturally relevant talent early, assess authenticity/fit, and anticipate community reaction
● Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
● Passion for gaming and community building.
● Deep understanding of the digital, social, and media landscape, with the ability to identify and interpret emerging digital trends.
● Proven ability to work independently, demonstrate creativity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Familiarity with major content creator platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitch.
● Experience developing and managing creator-led initiatives such as giveaways, contests, and community engagement programs.
● Understanding of mobile gaming, free-to-play models, or live-service operations is a strong plus.
● Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives effectively.
● Data-literate: comfortable defining success metrics, reading creator performance signals, and using insights to optimize strategy
● High integrity and compliance mindset, including understanding of disclosure requirements and brand safety expectations in Canada and globally

About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

This is our first senior talent management role. Today we have pieces of talent management programs and processes in place, but not yet a function. You will build one: an intentional approach to how we onboard, develop, and retain our people. That covers performance management and its link to pay, manager and leadership development, learning, onboarding, talent planning and succession, employee listening and engagement, and culture and values.
The first year is weighted toward four priorities: joining the redesign of our performance system early, alongside the Head of People, and owning it as it moves into execution, as we move to pay for performance, revamping onboarding ahead of our next wave of hiring, planning our values retreat for senior leaders, and getting a read on employee listening and engagement. As those take shape, the balance shifts toward the longer-term build: the vision and roadmap for the function, a foundational manager program, talent planning and succession, and the team around you.
The reason for this weight: the performance system and onboarding are our most acute gaps today, but they should not be construed as a ceiling of the job. We are hiring a senior talent management leader who can shape the whole function over several years, not the owner of one or two programs. If your instinct on reading this is that the performance redesign is the whole job, this role probably isn’t the right fit, and the reverse is also true: if you want to set strategy but not build the first versions yourself, year one will frustrate you.
What you’ll do
Build the talent management function
Within your first 90 days, assess what exists today across these areas, recommend the sequencing for the first year, and agree to it with the Head of People.
Set the vision and multi-year roadmap for talent management across the areas it covers, and sequence the work against the People roadmap.
Propose the team around it, and decide what we build in-house and what we buy or borrow.
Connect talent management to workforce planning, compensation, and recruitment, in partnership with the Head of People, Finance, and function leaders.
Build an approach to talent and succession planning, starting with critical roles: work with leaders to identify succession gaps, assess potential successors, and put development plans in place to prepare people for future opportunities.
Own the performance system
Join the performance system redesign early, alongside the Head of People, and own it as it moves into execution: a system that produces reliable, calibrated outputs to inform merit increases, connected to our new salary bands.
Make the system worth using, not a check-the-box exercise: one that helps managers hold better performance and development conversations and gives employees clarity on expectations, feedback, and growth.
Build calibration and the data around it so ratings and merit decisions stay consistent and fair across countries, currencies, and manager quality.
Set a clear global standard for handling low performance that doesn’t default to a misconduct process, and equip managers to use it.
Ensure the performance system helps managers identify and support sustained high performance, connecting it to recognition, development, and career growth opportunities.
Iterate the system through multiple cycles, using calibration, outcome data, and feedback from managers and employees to improve it.
Build how people join, learn, and are led
Revamp onboarding ahead of our next wave of hiring: own the content and experience for new hires and their managers, working with People Ops on process and systems.
Build a foundational manager program and the tools behind it: feedback, coaching, difficult conversations, and performance management.
Extend into leadership development and broader learning as the function matures.
Shape culture and listen to employees
Plan the values retreat with an external facilitator and our executive sponsor, and own what carries into daily work afterward.
Get a read on listening and engagement today, covering what we hear, where it goes, and what should change, and use it to build our employee listening strategy.
What this role is not
Not a recruiting role. Hiring sits with our Talent Acquisition team. You partner with them on the handoff into onboarding and on how we assess and develop talent once people are here.
Not the owner of compensation design. Pay structures and bands are set through our compensation work. You own how performance is assessed and how ratings connect to pay decisions.
Not an employee relations or casework role. Cases in country belong to managers and HR Managers, supported by the People team. You own the performance system and the manager capability that helps them handle concerns well.
Not the owner of HR systems or process administration. Onboarding workflows and our HRIS sit with People Ops. You own the content and the experience.
Who we’re looking for
Required
7+ years in talent management, performance, or organizational design roles, including time leading a function or a major part of one.
You have designed a performance system, not only administered one. You can show how ratings connected to pay and what you changed after the first cycle.
You have kept a rating and pay system fair across contexts with different currencies, labor markets, and manager quality.
You are a hands-on builder. You have built talent management programs and systems from scratch, or close to it, in a start-up or scale-up: performance, onboarding, manager development, or a whole function, where what you needed did not exist and you built it while the volume was already arriving. We are not looking for steady-state operating experience, or for leaders who have overseen this work without building it themselves.
You think in systems. You can show how a change in one part of a talent system, such as ratings, calibration, pay, promotion, or onboarding, shows up in the others, and you reason from the underlying problem rather than copying another organization’s template.
You design with change management in mind from the start. You plan for how managers and employees in different countries and cultures will adopt a new program or system as part of the design, not as a rollout step afterward, and can show how you knew it stuck rather than being worked around.
You have deep experience in at least two of onboarding, manager development, and employee engagement or listening, and working experience in the third. You have built programs and content people actually used, and can show how you knew they worked.
A track record of joining a major project already in motion, taking it over, and working through disagreement with a senior partner, and of influencing without formal authority in a matrixed organization.
Judgment and prioritization. You decide what slips and say so plainly.
Preferred
Experience in a mission-driven or international organization, ideally alongside high-growth commercial or tech experience.
Experience working across multiple countries, including sub-Saharan Africa.
Experience working with external facilitators, consultants, or vendors, and knowing what to hand off and what to hold.
Comfort using data (survey, performance, calibration) to make decisions, and knowing when the numbers mislead.
Exposure to compensation design or close work with a total rewards team.
Professional French or Portuguese.

Synthesia is the world’s leading AI video platform for business, used by over 90% of the Fortune 100. Founded in 2017, the company is headquartered in London, with offices and teams across Europe and the US.
As AI continues to shape the way we live and work, Synthesia develops products to enhance visual communication and enterprise skill development, helping people work better and stay at the center of successful organizations.
Following our recent Series E funding round, where we raised $200 million, our valuation stands at $4 billion. Our total funding exceeds $530 million from premier investors including Accel, NVentures (Nvidia's VC arm), Kleiner Perkins, GV, and Evantic Capital, alongside the founders and operators of Stripe, Datadog, Miro, and Webflow.
THE ROLE:
We're looking for a Staff (L6) Product Designer to lead design for some of Synthesia's AI-native, agentic Sessions product surfaces.
Sessions are the experiences where employees learn through conversation, companies lrun a survey at scale, and AI becomes a direct participant in how work gets done - not just a tool behind the scenes.
This area is central to redefining what a video platform can be: moving upstream from content creation into workforce development, and making complex AI capabilities feel natural, trustworthy, and effective for everyday users.
You'll operate as a senior IC: setting direction, influencing roadmap decisions, shaping bets with Product and Engineering leaders, and raising the craft bar.
In practice, this role is about solving AI-native design problems, for example:
- Designing real-time, conversational avatar experiences that feel engaging and natural - not robotic or gimmicky - for employees learning and practising skills at work.
- Creating interaction patterns for AI-driven workflows that give users the right amount of control, transparency, and trust without overwhelming them with complexity.
- Improving output quality through better structure, guidance, and feedback loops - helping users understand what the AI is doing, catch issues early, and iterate with confidence.
- Working at the frontier where AI changes what "interaction" means, and the best patterns are genuinely still being invented.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Own major AI-native bets end-to-end, from problem framing to shipped outcomes and iteration.
- Set a design vision for our "Sessions" surface, and influence adjacent product areas to stay coherent.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering to define what "great" looks like (principles, quality bar, success metrics) and then drive toward it.
- Prototype and test interaction models quickly - including novel agentic and conversational patterns - and know when high-fidelity matters.
- Raise the bar on craft: interaction design, UI quality, systems thinking, and consistency across AI-native experiences.
YOU SHOULD APPLY IF YOU BRING:
- Significant experience designing complex, high-usage product surfaces - ideally including AI-native products, agentic features, conversational interfaces, or products where the system takes meaningful autonomous action.
- Strong craft in interaction design and visual design, and a track record of shipping work that measurably improves the product experience.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity: you can turn unclear and fast-moving problem spaces into crisp direction, and you do not wait for perfect clarity.
- Systems thinking: you understand how AI capabilities, model constraints, and product architecture shape what's actually possible in the UX - not just what looks good on a screen.
- Excellent communication in design reviews and cross-functional decision-making contexts.
- Experience designing workflows where trust, transparency, and user control are central - helping users feel confident in AI-driven outputs rather than confused or excluded.
- A track record of tackling novel problems in maturing product spaces, and shaping the product from early-stage bets through to execution.
- The ability to leverage feedback from users and customers to ensure the product continues to meet real needs - including enterprise users with high stakes around quality, compliance, and scale.
AT SYNTHESIA WE EXPECT EVERYONE TO:

- Be Fast & Experimental

About this role:
We believe technology will play a critical role in enabling the next generation of cash delivery operations: from identifying recipients without needing to knock on doors to a modern payments infrastructure that gets dollars in recipients’ hands faster and more scalable. We are seeking a Technical Program Associate responsible for implementing and managing the technology used across our programs - including systems for recipient data collection, verification, payments, and monitoring.
In this role, you will own all technology-related aspects of new project launches: working with our operations team to define and implement program requirements, project managing the implementation across multiple stakeholders, and analyzing, structuring, and acting on program data. You are a systems thinker who is comfortable assessing tradeoffs and deriving and communicating data-driven insights. You enjoy learning about technology in a variety of business contexts. You naturally take ownership, can navigate unfamiliar settings, and enjoy both building and managing ops. You can excel at both 10,000 feet as well as in the weeds of complex problems.
Reports to:
Senior Technical Program Manager
Level
: Open to Associate or Manager, depending on the candidate. We would rather find the right person than fill a predetermined level. A candidate with deeper experience, stronger technical skills, and the judgment to run their own projects and think critically and propositionally on project designs will be brought in at the higher end, with correspondingly more independence.
Location:
At this stage of GiveDirectly’s growth and scale, we’re prioritizing hiring in the countries below, where we can employ you through a GD entity or an established employer of record: Cameroon, Canada, Colombia, DRC, Germany, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Netherlands, Nigeria, Poland, Portugal, Rwanda, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, Uganda, United Kingdom, and United States. Travel Requirement:
Must be able to travel ~1-2 times per year to one of our countries of operation for team retreats or field visits.
What you’ll do:
Manage end-to-end technical delivery for program launches - leading scoping, requirements gathering, system configuration and implementation, QA and testing, troubleshooting, and closeout
Collaborate with Operations, Product, Research, Engineering, and Data teams to ensure systems are aligned with program objectives and work seamlessly in field conditions
Debug and resolve issues across multiple layers of our technology stack, including our recipient database and offline survey app
Scope and manage cross-cutting systems improvements to improve efficiency, scale, and/or recipient experience, with mentorship
Ensure all systems comply with GD’s standards for data protection, privacy, and financial controls
Manage technical training and onboarding for operations staff and collaborators
Lead retrospectives on program launches and technical incidents to contribute to continued system improvements
What you’ll bring:
Exceptional alignment with

Language Requirement: fluent in English.
3+ years of professional experience; we welcome a wide range of relevant backgrounds (e.g. project management, product management, data analytics, international development, management consulting)
Strong data skills: able to leverage tools to extract, clean, manipulate, and analyze data to make operational decisions.
Strong project management experience: experience in managing timelines, stakeholders, and complex deliverables.
Deep comfort with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
Intermediate experience using a programming or scripting language (most commonly Python at GD) to automate workflows, validate data, or implement business logic. Note: This is not an engineering or data science job.
Significant interest in technology, systems design and building.
High attention to detail and strong instincts for analysis and validating data creatively and rigorously.
Structured approach to problem-solving and a drive to uncover and fix root causes rather than surface-level issues.
Ability to collaborate inclusively with stakeholders across varied social, national, and cultural backgrounds, including communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred, not required
: Experience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL).
Preferred, not required: Proficiency in one or more languages spoken in the countries where GiveDirectly operates (e.g Swahili, French, Portuguese). These skills are beneficial for working directly with field teams and understanding recipient experience.
