We’re scaling fast and staying true to what makes us different: an open-source legacy, a global collaborative culture, and a passion for meaningful work. Our team thrives in an innovation-driven environment where transparency, autonomy, and trust fuel everything we do.
You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
This is a remote opportunity for candidates located in Canada and US.
The Opportunity:
The Grafana Search & Storage squad is developing Grafana’s next-generation storage layer. As a key component of our App Platform, Unified Storage enables developers to build innovative applications using a Kubernetes-inspired Operator pattern to interact with data directly.
In addition to operating Unified Storage at scale within Grafana Cloud, our team manages two essential features for discovery and organization: Search, the unified engine for finding and querying all Grafana data, and Folders, for hierarchical content management.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Take an active role in influencing our roadmap and your own career objectives
Work with your team to deliver new features, then use the results to iterate and improve.
Drive projects from initial ideation all the way to operations once it is in the hands of customers
Embrace our open-source culture and contribute to other projects that may not directly fall within your team’s scope
Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning the reliability, performance, and
availability
Be a part of your team’s on-call rotations and take ownership of the services you’re running
Mentor and support other team members, participate in design discussions and collaborate with the team
Learn new skills by gaining a deeper understanding of our cloud product and our customers and getting to know the codebase of a large distributed system
As we are remote-first and our engineering organization is largely remote, we provide guidance and meet regularly using video calls, so an independent attitude and good communication skills are a must.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
You are a motivated self starter with a bias towards action
You are customer focused
We build everything with our users in mind.
You have a passion for creating intuitive products that fit customers’ needs
Pragmatism: You are able to take on complex challenges and break them down to achieve short feedback loops: to analyze, design, and build modular solutions, deliver MVPs, gather data and feedback and then progress iteratively
Collaboration and communication: The smallest unit we have is a team. You’ll be working with your teammates in a fully remote setup. Good communication skills are a must
Solid experience with Go, Rust, Python, or other similar programming languages
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working with large distributed systems
Experience with delivering projects from gathering requirements, brainstorming ideas all the way to shipping a product to the customer’s hands in a self-driven way
Experience with developing software that runs in the Cloud o r experience with systems engineering
Experience writing clean, robust, and performant software that is easily maintained by others
We invest heavily in developer productivity. You can use modern AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow (your choice of tools, within security guidelines), backed by a company-funded usage budget so you can iterate quickly without unnecessary friction. We encourage pragmatic AI-assisted development: faster prototyping, test generation, refactors, documentation, and incident follow-ups—always with strong code review and quality standards. You'll also have access to the latest frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
Bonus Points For:
Have been a user of Grafana and Prometheus in operational roles (including on-call for your team at a previous employer or just using these tools on hobby/homelab projects)
Familiarity with being on-call and performing operations/SRE tasks or with the concept of infrastructure as code
In Canada, the OTE (On-Target Earnings)/Base compensation range for this role is CAD $164,490 - $197,389. Workplace: Hybrid
The team and its impact
Accounting Core builds the foundations behind Xero’s accounting records, helping ensure that when a business records invoices, payments and other activity, its accounting stays accurate and dependable. You’ll help evolve a mature platform by decoupling key accounting capabilities from the mature architecture and creating safer, more scalable paths for change across areas such as invoices, payments, bank transactions and reconciliation.
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll own significant end-to-end initiatives from technical design through to production, helping decide how accounting capabilities can be separated from the monolith and evolved safely. You’ll stay hands-on in production code, work through trade-offs where accounting-data integrity and scalability matter, and collaborate closely with partner teams to ensure changes to the accounting engine support other Xero teams built on Accounting Core. You’ll also help raise engineering practices and quality standards as the Vancouver Accounting Core team continues to grow.
Technical Challenges:
- Decoupling a mature accounting platform: Help separate accounting capabilities from a monolith, creating clearer domain ownership and safer paths for change without compromising the integrity of the accounting record.
- Accounting correctness at scale: Design and evolve reliable services for critical financial data across areas such as invoices, payments, bank transactions and reconciliation.
- Shared foundations for product teams: Build capabilities and outputs that other Xero teams can rely on confidently, so they can deliver customer experiences without rebuilding core accounting foundations.
- Modernisation alongside delivery: Make incremental architectural improvements while continuing to deliver value for small businesses and their advisors.
Here are some of the things we are looking for
- Proven track record of delivering highly available, distributed systems and high-throughput services on cloud-native platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of significant work, from design through to rollout and production validation, including the technical decisions that come with it.
- You think carefully about architecture and trade-offs, from API design to choosing the right data store, and you balance speed, quality and long-term maintainability.
- Proficiency in a modern backend stack, such as Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, Ruby or C++, and you are keen to learn C# and .NET, where existing experience is a bonus.
- Passion for staying hands-on, contributing to production code and technical deep dives, and using AI tools with good judgement to move faster and raise the quality bar.
- A commitment to Go Together by mentoring peers, sharing technical knowledge and helping teammates grow through code reviews, pairing and documentation.
Where and how you can work
This role is based in our Vancouver office, where we embrace a hybrid working model. You will have the flexibility to work from home while joining the team in the office for "boost days" (1-2 days a week) to collaborate, socialize, and solve complex problems in person.
Our Hiring Process
1. TX phone screen: a conversation with your Talent Specialist about your background, motivations and the role.
2. Technical assessments: a coding assessment and systems design assessment, conducted virtually with real engineers, and based on real-world scenarios.
3. Technical deep dive: walk through a past project you owned end-to-end, covering how you thought about it, executed it and led through its complexity.
4. Values / Future Proof Xero: how you show up day to day, aligned with Xero's values and capabilities such as adaptability, ownership, customer thinking and AI fluency.
Compensation & Total Rewards
At Xero, we value the impact and skills you bring to the team. We believe in a Total Package philosophy - ensuring your value is recognized through a holistic lens that includes base salary, performance incentives, and world-class benefits.
The expected base salary range for this role is $155,000 - $205,000 CAD.
Individual pay is determined by various factors, including geography, level of experience, and the specific skills you bring to the role.
In addition to base pay, Xero’s roles are eligible for the following forms of variable compensation:
- Variable Pay: Permanent employees are eligible to participate in our annual bonus and equity (RSU) programs. You may also be eligible for performance-based cash or equity (RSUs) incentives depending on your role level, and company performance.
- Comprehensive Benefits: World-class health, wellness, and retirement programs. Xero Perks https://careers.xero.com/inside-xero/benefits-wellbeing/ including Wellbeing days, generous leave, and dedicated professional development budgets.
This is a posting for an existing vacancy.
Xero uses AI to help screen applications based on job-related qualifications. These tools assist our recruiters but do not make automated hiring decisions. A human recruiter reviews all candidates before any hiring action is taken.

Workplace: Hybrid
ROLE HIGHLIGHTS
- Engineering Supply Chain Manager (Electronics)
- Location: Warsaw, Poland
- Department: Global Supply Chain
- Reports to: Engineering Operations Manager
- Employment type: Permanent
- Workplace model: Office/On-site
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)
THE MISSION OF THE ENGINEERING SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER (ELECTRONICS)
As our Engineering Supply Chain Manager (Electronics), you'll join our fast-moving Global Supply Chain organization and work closely with our hardware engineering teams as they design and build electronic systems on tight and shifting timelines.
You'll be an active part of our engineering projects, helping to execute them and staying ahead of supply. That means identifying long lead items and critical components as early as possible in the process, and securing them before they become bottlenecks for testing and builds. When lead times, allocation or a late design change threaten a prototype schedule, we need you to act. Our development cycles are fast and iterations are constantly occurring since we thrive on pushing the technology for the best.
You'll also be a key link between Engineering and Production. You'll communicate R&D supply chain risks and the critical components you've identified to Production, so nothing comes as a surprise at handover. Your work supports the success of every engineering prototype iteration and at the same time prepares Production for rollout and mass production.
This role suits someone who is proactive by nature, with a solution driven mindset and a deep understanding of electronics, PCB manufacturing and hardware prototyping, who is comfortable with ambiguity and acts before problems arrive rather than waiting for them. How quickly we get from concept to working hardware in orbit, and then into production, depends on how well this role is done.

Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
HIGH-VELOCITY ENGINEERING SUPPORT
- Serve as the hands-on supply chain counterpart for fast-paced electronics engineering teams working on multiple, rapidly evolving hardware projects.
- Be an active member of engineering project teams from kick-off, helping to execute the project plan and reviewing draft BOMs while the design can still be changed.
- Identify long lead items and critical components as early as possible, and secure them proactively (early orders, allocation, buffer stock) before they can delay a project.
- Translate early-stage concepts, evolving BOMs, and mid-design changes into actionable sourcing steps with minimal delay.
- Advise engineers, in real time and in early design reviews, on how component choices affect availability, alternates, obsolescence, cost and lead time.
- Identify supply issues before they become blockers and propose workaround paths immediately.
RAPID SOURCING & PROCUREMENT EXECUTION
- Own sourcing and procurement of electronic components, PCB fabrication, PCBA assembly, connectors, harness, sensors, RF parts, embedded modules.
- Run fast quoting and supplier selection so prototype and builds get their boards and parts on the dates engineering committed to.
- Lead efforts to find alternative components or new supply paths within hours, not weeks, when shortages occur.
- Set stock levels and material availability plans for development and prototype builds.
SUPPLIER INTERACTION & TECHNICAL ENGAGEMENT
- Own relationships with PCB fabricators, electronics manufacturing partners and component distributors, and work with them to understand lead time constraints, manufacturing capabilities, DFM implications and fast-track build options.
- Support technical capability assessments of PCB/PCBA vendors, machining partners, and component distributors.
- Negotiate priority build slots, allocation and expedited shipments, and secure prototypes under compressed timelines.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL START-UP COLLABORATION
- Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, program management, and operations to remove obstacles and maintain build readiness.
- Maintain complete visibility into prototype schedules, engineering changes, and material risks, communicating clearly and frequently.
- Operate with a bias for action: if something is unclear, you chase it; if something breaks, you fix it; if something is missing, you find it.
AGILITY, RISK MANAGEMENT & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Build and maintain a living view of supply risks across all active prjects, including obsolescence, allocation, single-source parts, counterfeit risk and export restrictions and qualify alternatives early.
- Keep purchasing accurate in the ERP system, with clean traceability, cost visibility and build readiness status that the organisation can rely on, even under fast-moving conditions.
- Bring an experimentation mindset: test new suppliers, new sourcing channels, new manufacturing partners, and new tools to reduce lead times and cost.
R&D TO PRODUCTION READINESS
- Communicate R&D supply chain risks and identified critical components to Production early and clearly, so they are known well before handover.
- Support the success and rapid iteration of engineering prototypes while preparing Production for rollout and mass production.
- Make sure critical and long lead parts, qualified suppliers and realistic lead times and capacity are in place before a design moves into series production.
- Help build the sourcing foundations that will carry a design from prototype into repeatable production.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
MUST HAVES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Supply Chain, or similar.
- 5+ years of direct experience in electronics sourcing, component procurement or engineering supply chain roles in fast-moving hardware environments.
- Strong technical understanding of semiconductors, passive components, PCB fabrication, PCBA assembly, embedded electronics, and prototyping flows.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in startup-like conditions, tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and rapid cycles.
- Hands-on experience interpreting electronic schematics, BOMs, AVL requirements, PCB stackups, and manufacturing documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in startup-like conditions: tight deadlines, shifting priorities, incomplete information, and rapid cycles.
- Hands-on experience running purchasing and material management through an ERP system.
- Confident negotiator, commercially and technically, able to influence engineers, program managers and suppliers without formal authority.
- Professional English, written and spoken.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Engineering Electronics Background, knowledge of the tools and technical understanding/background of designs.
- Experience in space, aerospace, defence, hardware startups or other deep-tech R&D environments.
- Exposure to taking a hardware design from prototype into series production.
- Existing relationships with PCB/PCBA vendors, distributors and electronics manufacturing partners.
- Certifications (APICS, PMP, Six Sigma) useful but not required.
- Familiarity with rapid-prototyping suppliers, global component marketplaces, and digital sourcing tools.

Maintaining our start-up spirit, we prioritize thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and, of course, our business.
We're looking for a Senior Android Engineer or Tech Lead who thinks like a product builder — someone who cares deeply about the "why" behind what they're building, not just the tickets in the backlog.
You'll be embedded in a cross-functional domain team (Backend, Mobile, ML/AI, QA, Design, and Product) and own the end-to-end development of features that genuinely matter: company accounts and cash flows, banking transactions, card issuance and management, and AI-enabled accounting. You'll help shape architecture decisions, raise the bar on engineering quality, and mentor the engineers around you.
If you're energized by working at the intersection of great mobile engineering and real product impact — this is the role.
What You’ll Do
Design and build new features for our Android application, used daily by business owners across Europe.
Architect and implement reliable, intuitive solutions for:

Jetpack Compose
.
Take ownership of code quality, performance, and stability — automated testing and thorough code reviews are non-negotiable.
Collaborate closely with Backend, QA, Design, and Product — you'll be shaping solutions end-to-end, not just implementing specs.
Drive technical decisions within your domain, challenge assumptions when needed, and proactively identify opportunities to build better.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and mobile best practices across the team.
Who You Are
You're pragmatic and have a proven track record of shipping products that matter. You communicate clearly across disciplines and thrive in a cross-functional environment where everyone is solving the same customer problem together.
Your experience includes:
Strong knowledge of
Kotlin
(Java knowledge is a plus) and 5+ years of commercial Android development.
Deep understanding of
OOP
,
SOLID
, and
Clean Architecture
.
Solid experience with presentation layer patterns —
MVI
,
MVVM
, and
MVP
— and the ability to choose the right one for the context.
Hands-on experience with our core stack:
Reactive programming & async:
RxJava
,
Kotlin Coroutines / Flow
Dependency injection:
Dagger 2
,
Hilt
, or
Koin
Networking:
Retrofit
Navigation:
Cicerone
,
Jetpack Navigation Component
Modern UI:
Jetpack Compose
Practical experience with
Firebase
(FCM, Analytics, Crashlytics).
Experience with
Feature-module architecture
in production.
Confidence with
Git / GitLab
, including setting up and maintaining
GitLab CI/CD
.
A builder's mentality — you care about the product, the users, and the outcomes, not just the code.
Clear, concise communication in English across technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to Have
Background in fintech or experience with financial products — you understand the stakes.
Solid grasp of mobile security best practices (especially critical in our domain).
Experience profiling and optimizing UI performance — reducing overdraw, improving recomposition efficiency in Jetpack Compose, and hitting smooth 60/120fps rendering.
Hands-on work with performance tooling:
Android Profiler
,
Perfetto
,
Baseline Profiles
, or similar.
Published apps on
Google Play
you're proud of.
An active
GitHub
profile with code you're happy to share.
Hands-on experience with
AI agents and LLM tools
(Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) — setting up agent environments, writing prompts, skills, and behavioral rules.
Experience with
AI-powered IDE tools
(Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc.) — including agent mode, rules files configuration, and integrating AI into the daily development workflow.
Understanding of model
capabilities and limitations
— knowing which model fits which task and how to manage the context window effectively.
Ability to
evaluate and verify AI-generated output
— using automated tests, linters, and critical review to catch hallucinations and errors.

VALD
is the world leader in technology for the allied health industry, providing innovative human-measurement technology to over 13,000 clients in over 150 countries. If you have a favorite team in the NBA, EPL, or NFL, there's a good chance they use VALD Technologies.
Since its humble beginnings in 2015 in Brisbane, Australia, VALD has grown to a team of over 300 team members in over 35 countries, with 5 offices across four continents.
Driven by a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, sports scientists, designers, developers and engineers, VALD's suite of systems offer unparalleled insight into human movement, performance, injury risk and rehabilitation.
About the role
BridgeAthletic
is the training prescription platform behind thousands of strength & conditioning programs from collegiate athletics, pro teams, military, and private performance facilities.
As part of VALD, we're building a closed loop in athlete management, bringing measurement, training prescription, and adaptation closer together.
This role owns BridgeAthletic's nutrition experience end to end: the workflows coaches use to create and deliver nutrition guidance and to track their athletes' compliance and progress, plus the athlete-side experience of logging meals in the app. You'll work closely with engineering, design and other teams to take ideas from problem to shipped product.
In this role, you will
Own projects from start to finish.
You write the requirements, run the rhythm with engineering, manage scope in-flight, and keep projects moving through to release.
Turn problems into solutions.
The roadmap will give you the problem and priority. You'll work out the right solution, think through edge cases and trade-offs, and make sure the final product works in the real world.
Own launches.
Make sure releases are ready, documentation and internal teams are prepared, and measure what happens after launch. Shipping is only the start; we care about whether people use what we build.
Help shape the roadmap.
Analyze user feedback and usage data to recommend what we should build next.
Learn the domain.
Build a strong understanding of strength & conditioning and how coaches actually work day to day.
Is this you?
1
+ years in project management or similar role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
, with the ability to communicate requirements, decisions and ideas in a way that teams can easily understand.
Strong execution skills
, with a track record of keeping projects moving, spotting risks early and raising issues before they become problems.
Attention to detail
, with a focus on thinking through edge cases before they reach QA or customers.
A data-driven approach
, using product data to inform decisions and questioning the numbers when something doesn't look right.
Strong prioritisation and collaboration skills
, with the ability to manage competing priorities and keep teams aligned.
Genuine curiosity about the domain
, with an interest in understanding how coaches work and why, even if you don't have a strength & conditioning background today.
A growth mindset
aligned with VALD’s culture of continuous learning and development.
Nice to have: a background in nutrition, coaching, or competitive athletics.
We recognize that not all applicants will have the skills that match a job description exactly. VALD's best asset is not our technology, but our people and culture. We choose people based on how well we think they will work in the VALD team.
If you’re passionate about building impactful products and want to be part of a team that values innovation and collaboration, we’d love to hear from you.
Diversity & Inclusion Commitment
VALD’s best asset is not our technology but our people and culture. A culture of inclusion and diversity is critical to our business. We know diverse teams perform better. It's not a separate initiative – we aim to embed inclusion and diversity in everything we do. We are committed to fostering an inclusive work environment and embracing diversity, including gender, nationality, disability, age, marital/parental status, ethnicity, gender identity, socioeconomic background and sexual orientation. We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

Work on existing framework agreements negotiated at Headquarters/Casa Madre level by visiting individual store locations, engaging directly with local store managers, and driving the end-to-end activation process.

Relationship Building:
Maintain strong relationships with local store teams and attend local meet-ups/events to stay connected with the regional retail and culinary community.
Market Expertise & Operational Feedback:
Use your industry knowledge to demonstrate how our products solve real-world challenges for premium partners, gathering local insights to refine our expansion strategy.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
Sales & Activation Experience:
Significant experience in targeting new business with a "hunter" mindset, combined with a proven track record of executing store-level activations for accounts with central framework agreements.
Field & On-Site Availability:
Willingness and confidence to spend time on the field, visiting individual stores and engaging directly with local managers and operational teams.
Negotiation & Stakeholder Management:
Ability to navigate commercial discussions centrally and convince local store stakeholders to prioritize platform activation.
Strong Communication:
Confidence dealing with premium partners face-to-face, over the phone, and via email.
Tenacity & Problem Solving:
A resilient, proactive approach to overcoming operational barriers at the store level in a fast-moving environment.
Industry Knowledge:
A strong understanding of the retail, grocery, or restaurant industry is a significant plus.
Why Join Us?
At Deliveroo, you’ll do work that matters, solving real-world problems in a three-sided marketplace that’s constantly evolving.
We’re food lovers, problem solvers, community builders and more, brought together by a shared drive to make things better. Working here you can expect to:
