We're looking for Senior AI Engineers to design, build and run LLM-powered agents and AI features in production. You'll work across the full lifecycle: from scoping a use case with stakeholders, through architecture and development, to deployment, evaluation and ongoing improvement.
This is a hands-on role for engineers who think like product owners: you understand the business problem, define what success looks like in numbers, ship to real users, and own the result after launch.
Our stack: Python and TypeScript/Node.js, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Docker, GitHub Actions, AWS. We run multiple LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, AWS Bedrock and others) behind a shared LLM gateway, with MCP for tool access. We work AI-native: agentic coding tools are part of how engineering gets done here, and we provide official Anthropic Claude certification for our engineers.
As part of our team, your responsibilities in this role will include:
Design and build LLM agents and agentic workflows: tool use via MCP, structured outputs, retrieval (RAG), multi-step orchestration, human review steps where needed.
Build and maintain MCP servers and tool layers that give agents governed access to company data and systems.
Own quality and cost: evals and golden sets, per-agent telemetry (tokens, cost, latency, accuracy), prompt and model versioning, provider failover and model routing.
Ship through CI/CD like any other production service: tests and evals in the pipeline, containerized deploys, monitoring, rollbacks.
Contribute to shared platform pieces: the agent template, the LLM gateway, observability.
Work directly with business stakeholders to scope, prioritize and validate use cases. Push back when something doesn't need an agent.
Use AI coding tools daily. Claude Code is our default; deep experience with a comparable agentic tool also works. You drive the tool, verify its output and catch its mistakes.
Our ideal candidate possesses the following skills:
5+ years of software engineering experience, with production systems you've designed, shipped and supported.
Proven experience building LLM-based agents or agentic workflows that reached production with real users.
Hands-on experience with agent frameworks and SDKs: Claude Agent SDK, Claude Managed Agents, Pydantic AI, LangGraph or similar. You can also explain what you'd build without one.
Hands-on experience with MCP and RAG: you've built MCP servers or equivalent tool layers, and retrieval pipelines over real, messy data.
Experience with multiple LLM providers and with AWS Bedrock: model selection, routing, fallbacks, cost and rate-limit management.
Strong Python and SQL. Comfortable in TypeScript/Node.js.
Solid production engineering on AWS: Docker, CI/CD, testing, observability.
Product thinking and business focus: you start from the problem and its cost, define success in measurable terms, and own outcomes.
Daily use of agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar), with the judgment to verify what they produce.
Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, in English.
Nice to have:
LLM observability or gateway tooling (Langfuse, LiteLLM, OpenTelemetry for LLM traces or similar).
B2B contact and company data: enrichment, deduplication, matching.
Cloud operations or FinOps: monitoring, incident handling, cost management.
Event-driven or workflow-engine experience (Kafka, Temporal or similar).
Experience replacing no-code or workflow-tool automations with production code.
What we offer:
Fully remote work format;
A collaborative and creative environment that values initiative and experimentation;
Paid time off and sick leave;
Reduced working hours on Fridays during the summer;
Days-off on US national holidays + your birthday;
Schedule: 14 PM - 23 PM EEST (Kyiv time).
Location: London, England, United Kingdom; Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland; Limassol, Cyprus
Workplace: hybrid

STRATEGIC ACCOUNTS
- Build and maintain C-suite and senior executive relationships with the most important WHOOP retail and strategic partners.

team (working hybrid, 3 days in the office). In this role, you’ll drive high-quality decision-making to maximise impact.
We’re hiring multiple Senior Data Scientists across different areas of the business. Rather than hiring for one fixed team, we use the interview process to understand your strengths, interests and development areas, and then align you to the right scope, remit and team.
About Our Data Science Organisation
We have an outstanding Data Science organisation, with a mission to drive the highest quality decision-making across our marketplace. We work throughout the company, in product, operations, and platform teams and are uniquely placed to use data to help make better decisions and improve data literacy across Deliveroo. We are great communicators, and move fast to serve our customers a little better every day.
Our community is highly active, with guest lectures, study groups, mentorship programmes and a robust technical review process. Data Scientists can progress equally as IC leads or managers.
Our data scientists come from all kinds of backgrounds but have excellence in common. Many are formally trained in data science, many are not.
What You’ll Be Doing
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Proactive Impact Delivery:
You will independently identify, define, and deliver impactful work that aligns with business goals and metrics, operating with minimal guidance to provide high value to your team and the broader organisation. You will own delivery end-to-end, ensuring the delivery of fast, high-quality, solutions that meet business needs.
Navigating Ambiguity and Complexity:
You will excel at deconstructing broad, ambiguous problem spaces into structured technical roadmaps, managing projects that require both deep team-specific rigour and an understanding of how they intersect with adjacent systems.
Strategic Technical Execution:
Drive strategic decision-making by selecting the most effective tool or method for the task, maintaining a focus on high-quality execution and measurable results. You will act as a well-trusted strategic partner to stakeholders, using analytics, effective communication and domain expertise to influence roadmaps.
Experimentation and measurement:
Design and lead measurement strategies that drive product direction, ranging from simple A/B tests to complex experimental designs. You will be equally capable of applying alternative causal inference techniques when standard trials aren't feasible, ensuring the business moves based on data driven insights.
Organisational Alignment
: Actively contribute to the broader Analytics community, driving L+D initiatives and cross-functional collaboration. You will ensure we are delivering the "right" things org-wide by aligning technical work with overarching business strategy and shared best practices.

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

A pragmatic and adaptable approach, with a strong focus on delivering impact efficiently at pace.

Experience leading both simple and more complex experiment designs, with the ability to proactively unpick insights to steer strategic decision making

Through solid analysis, provide clear and actionable recommendations that influence the team's roadmap.
Effective problem-solving, demonstrating an ability to successfully address complex and ambiguous challenges.

Managing marketing and promotional planning for our Retail/Non-Food partners as they scale on the platform.
Ensuring that we are developing an ongoing attractive value proposition for customers, including selection, promotions, pricing, and service levels.
Working closely with compliance, legal, and operations to ensure best practices
Owning the execution of site roll-outs as we scale the proposition, mapping our gaps in coverage for partner expansion
Representing Deliveroo across your partner’s organisation, and ensuring that our internal stakeholders are supporting where appropriate.
What You'll Need To Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
3-4 years of experience in an account management, business development/new business, or commercial role.
Experience in working within the Retail and/or Pharmacy industry is required
Experienced negotiator with the ability to drive mutual value for both partners and Deliveroo
Partner obsessed, with effective relationship building, organisation, and communication skills, whether face to face, through video, phone, or email.
Confident working with and analysing data - able to cut through the noise to understand what performance improvements will help grow your Retail partners, in order to make clear and actionable recommendations.
Able to create ideas and strategies to drive the growth of our joint business with our partners, with a willingness to trial at pace.
Collaborative team player who is able to get the best out of the people around you. Able to work effectively with all levels of Deliveroo.
Experience working in a dynamic, high-growth company is preferable

Location: London, United Kingdom - Deliveroo
Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation and growth drive everything we do. Our Data Science organisation sits at the heart of Deliveroo, powering decision-making across product, commercial and operational teams through experimentation and causal inference.
We’re hiring multiple Data Science Managers across different areas of the business. All of these roles are at the same level. Rather than hiring for one fixed team, we use the interview process to understand your strengths, interests and development areas, and then align you to the right scope and team at the end of the process, based on your background, interview performance, preferences and current business needs.
We’re also advertising some opportunities separately where particular domain experience is especially relevant. You only need to submit one application, as we’ll consider your profile across all suitable Data Science Manager vacancies. Before an offer is made, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the proposed team, either virtually or at our London headquarters, and learn more about the role’s scope and priorities.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll own the analytical direction and measurable impact of a product or business area, while leading and developing a high-performing team of data scientists or machine learning engineers.
Our Data Science Managers work across a range of consumer, product and commercial areas. Depending on the team you join, your work could focus on areas such as customer retention and loyalty, pricing and promotions, discovery and personalisation, or customer acquisition and engagement.
Across all roles, you’ll lead and develop your team, set the analytical direction for your area and decide which problems are worth solving. You’ll ensure data science work translates into better product and commercial decisions, not just analysis.
You’ll remain hands-on while managing a team, partnering with Product, Engineering, Ops, Marketing and Finance as a thought partner. You’ll set the bar for analytical rigour, prioritisation and impact across noisy metrics, real trade-offs and strong stakeholder opinions.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
Experience line managing data scientists and supporting their career development
A strong background as a senior individual contributor, with hands-on experience in experimentation, causal inference or applied machine learning
Proven ability to identify high-impact opportunities and turn insights into clear strategy and execution
Confidence working with senior stakeholders and explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where prioritisation and judgement matter as much as technical skill
Why Join Us?
At Deliveroo, you’ll work on real-world problems at global scale, across a three-sided marketplace that is constantly evolving.
We’re food lovers, problem solvers, community organisers and more, united by a shared drive to make things better. Working here, you can expect:
High autonomy to shape strategy and deliver meaningful impact
Support to learn and grow through L&D programmes, mentoring and peer learning
A strong focus on wellbeing, with benefits that vary by country
A place to belong, with a diverse global workforce and active employee communities

About the Team
It’s an exciting time to join our rapidly growing Accounting team with ample development opportunities. We're growing the Revenue Data team with Engineering and Accounting Data openings to drive automation and systems infrastructure. All whilst while keeping pace within one of the fastest growing marketplace companies globally.
About the Role
The Engineer for Accounting Infrastructure and Systems designs, builds, and maintains the scalable backend services, data pipelines, and integrations that power DoorDash / Deliveroo's accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting workflows. Working closely with Finance, Accounting, and fellow engineers, this role translates complex financial and regulatory requirements into reliable, automated systems that ensure accuracy, auditability, and compliance at scale. The ideal candidate brings strong distributed-systems and data engineering expertise along with a solid understanding of financial processes, and takes technical ownership of critical projects while mentoring junior engineers and helping shape the team's architecture and best practices.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
Take technical ownership of critical accounting infrastructure projects — designing and building the backend services, data pipelines, and integrations that power DoorDash's financial reporting, reconciliation, and close workflows at scale.
Partner directly with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into reliable, auditable, and automated systems.
Shape the team's architecture and engineering best practices, mentoring junior engineers and raising the technical bar across the organization.

We're excited about you because…
You have 3 - 4+ years of experience in software or data engineering, with a strong track record of owning and delivering complex backend or data infrastructure projects.
You have deep expertise in distributed systems and data engineering, with hands-on experience in tools like Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, or similar modern data stack technologies.
You can navigate the intersection of engineering and finance — understanding concepts like revenue recognition, reconciliation, and auditability well enough to build systems that meet those requirements.
You have a collaborative, low-ego approach and can effectively partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, and Engineering.
Familiarity with SOX controls, data quality frameworks, or financial systems (e.g., NetSuite) is a strong plus.
