How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password.
This approach extends to our hiring process—candidates are welcome to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully during the application process. To us, this means we do ask that you join live interviews without using AI tools so we can get to know how you communicate, solve problems, and collaborate with others.
Our approach to work
We recognize the power of both in person collaboration and remote work. Some roles are designated as remote-first, with an expectation that individuals work from their homes majority of the time, while others are designated as in-office roles, with an expectation of being on-site on a regular basis. We recognize that certain roles benefit from regular, in-person connection to support collaboration, team cohesion, and customer engagement.
For all roles, occasional travel may be required. This includes things like: department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events are typically held in varying locations across Canada, USA and/or EMEA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Finance teams need a dependable way to turn everyday spending and payments into accurate books. Ramp's Accounting team builds the systems that carry accounting context across our products, help customers categorize and reconcile activity, and keep their records in sync. When those systems work well, finance teams spend less time correcting data and more time understanding their business.
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build across that accounting experience. You could work on the services behind accounting rules and data models, the flow of transactions into the books, or the reliability of sync and reconciliation workflows. You'll own complex projects from design through production and work with product, design, and engineering partners to make accounting workflows simpler and more trustworthy for customers.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design and build backend services, APIs, and data models that support accounting workflows across Ramp's products
- Make financial data accurate, traceable, and resilient as transactions move through coding, reconciliation, and sync
- Improve the reliability and visibility of workflows that span Ramp and customers' accounting systems, including how they handle failures and changes
- Partner with product and engineering teammates to understand finance teams' needs and turn them into practical technical designs
- Own substantial projects from design and implementation through launch, monitoring, and iteration
- Raise the engineering bar through thoughtful design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Experience designing, building, and operating production backend systems, including APIs, data models, and asynchronous workflows
- Strong system design judgment, especially around data correctness, reliability, and keeping complex systems understandable
- A track record of independently owning complex projects and shipping high-quality software
- The ability to investigate problems across services and data flows and turn what you learn into durable improvements
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach to technical decisions and feedback
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with accounting, payments, spend management, or other financial data products
- Familiarity with accounting concepts such as coding, reconciliation, or the general ledger
- Experience building integrations or data workflows that keep information consistent across systems
BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO ALL FULL-TIME RAMP EMPLOYEES (GLOBAL)
- Flexible PTO
- Centralized home-office equipment ordering
- Health and wellness stipend
- Budget for intra-office travel
- Weekly coffee stipend

You'll sit in Marketing Engineering and be forward-deployed to our growth pods, where you'll find the problems worth solving and own the solutions end to end. REQUIREMENTS
- Python, SQL, LLM APIs and agent orchestration
- You've shipped production systems that other people relied on, starting from a vague problem
- You've built with LLMs beyond a demo and know how to evaluate them and where they fail
- You measure whether what you built worked
- Bonus: experience with GTM data or marketing systems.

Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future.
As part of 1Password’s Strategic Operations team, you’ll lead cross-functional initiatives that turn complex business priorities into clear plans, coordinated execution, and measurable results. How we’re using AI today
On the Strategic Operations team, we’re using AI to cut through complexity, stay aligned, and move quickly. AI supports how we manage and execute programs by bringing together signals from across the business and turning them into decision-ready summaries, project plans, and executive briefs. We expect every team member to build at least one AI-powered workflow, and we’re committed to growing together through shared best practices, regular learning sessions, and team resources as we scale and collaborate across 1Password.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
• 7–9+ years of experience in strategic operations, business operations, program management, or a related field, with a track record of delivering complex initiatives.
• Experience leading cross-functional programs and influencing senior or executive stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong ability to translate broad objectives into practical plans, roadmaps, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
• Sound judgment and confidence working through ambiguity, resolving dependencies, and constructively challenging assumptions when needed.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to turn data into clear recommendations and concise status updates.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and priorities while maintaining accountability from planning through delivery.
• Experience in Software as a Service (SaaS), cybersecurity, technology, product operations, or a similarly fast-moving environment, along with experience using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools or workflow automation to improve operational efficiency.
What you can expect:
• Build and manage programs that improve service and outcomes for high-priority customer accounts.
• Support company planning, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), objective tracking, and other operating rhythms that help leaders make informed decisions.
• Create clear roadmaps, status reports, risk assessments, and recommendations that improve visibility and accelerate decision-making.
• Bring teams together to resolve blockers, align priorities, manage change, and deliver shared outcomes.
• Use modern tools, including AI-assisted analysis and workflow automation, to generate insights, identify risks and dependencies, and scale program execution.

This posting is for an existing vacancy.
Our culture
At 1Password, we prioritize collaboration, clear and transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and alignment with our core values: keep it simple, lead with honesty, and put people first.
You’ll be part of a team that challenges the status quo, and is excited to experiment and iterate in search of the best solution. That said, 1Password is not for everyone https://blog.1password.com/inside-the-culture-powering-1passwords-next-chapter/. Our work is demanding, we strive for excellence, and the pace is fast. We need people who are keen to take on challenging problems, who seek feedback to grow, and who are driven to make an impact. If you're looking for a place where you can settle into a comfortable routine, this might not be the right fit for you.
Our approach to remote work
We believe in the power of remote work, but recognize that in-person connection is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, travel for in-person engagement is a part of almost all roles, and we require our employees to be ready and willing to take part. Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to: annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events.

About Finom
Finom is a European tech startup headquartered in Amsterdam, and we’re on a journey towards revolutionizing the financial landscape for entrepreneurs worldwide. Our mission is to develop an all-in-one financial B2B solution that integrates banking functions, accounting, financial management, and invoicing into a seamless, mobile-first platform.
We recently closed a €115 million Series C equity round (around $133 million), bringing our total funding to approximately $346 million. This significant investment follows a $105 million growth funding round from General Catalyst, a long-term backer since 2021 known for supporting companies like Airbnb, HubSpot, KAYAK, and Stripe.
Finom's platform goes beyond traditional banking, offering invoicing and a growing suite of features, including AI-enabled accounting, aiming to simplify financial management for entrepreneurs. Maintaining our start-up spirit, we prioritize thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and, of course, our business.
We're looking for a Senior Android Engineer or Tech Lead who thinks like a product builder — someone who cares deeply about the "why" behind what they're building, not just the tickets in the backlog.
You'll be embedded in a cross-functional domain team (Backend, Mobile, ML/AI, QA, Design, and Product) and own the end-to-end development of features that genuinely matter: company accounts and cash flows, banking transactions, card issuance and management, and AI-enabled accounting. You'll help shape architecture decisions, raise the bar on engineering quality, and mentor the engineers around you.
If you're energized by working at the intersection of great mobile engineering and real product impact — this is the role.
What You’ll Do
Design and build new features for our Android application, used daily by business owners across Europe.
Architect and implement reliable, intuitive solutions for:
Multi-account cash flow management
Banking transactions and payments
Physical and virtual card issuance, activation, and control
AI-powered accounting automation
Build polished, responsive UIs using
Jetpack Compose
.
Take ownership of code quality, performance, and stability — automated testing and thorough code reviews are non-negotiable.
Collaborate closely with Backend, QA, Design, and Product — you'll be shaping solutions end-to-end, not just implementing specs.
Drive technical decisions within your domain, challenge assumptions when needed, and proactively identify opportunities to build better.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and mobile best practices across the team.
Who You Are
You're pragmatic and have a proven track record of shipping products that matter. You communicate clearly across disciplines and thrive in a cross-functional environment where everyone is solving the same customer problem together.
Your experience includes:

OOP
,
SOLID
, and
Clean Architecture
.
Solid experience with presentation layer patterns —

, and

— and the ability to choose the right one for the context.

RxJava
,
Kotlin Coroutines / Flow
Dependency injection:
Dagger 2
,
Hilt
, or
Koin
Networking:
Retrofit
Navigation:

Practical experience with
Firebase
(FCM, Analytics, Crashlytics).
Experience with
Feature-module architecture
in production.
Confidence with
Git / GitLab
, including setting up and maintaining
GitLab CI/CD
.
A builder's mentality — you care about the product, the users, and the outcomes, not just the code.
Clear, concise communication in English across technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to Have
Background in fintech or experience with financial products — you understand the stakes.
Solid grasp of mobile security best practices (especially critical in our domain).
Experience profiling and optimizing UI performance — reducing overdraw, improving recomposition efficiency in Jetpack Compose, and hitting smooth 60/120fps rendering.
Hands-on work with performance tooling:
Android Profiler
,
Perfetto
,
Baseline Profiles
, or similar.
Published apps on
Google Play
you're proud of.
An active

profile with code you're happy to share.
Hands-on experience with
