ABOUT THE ROLE
The Enterprise Knowledge Platform team builds the data and action layer that connects Perplexity's agents to the systems where enterprise work happens. Useful agents need more than access to APIs: they need to discover the right tools, understand an organization's data and terminology, and act reliably within its permissions. This team brings native connectors, MCP servers, and CLI-backed tools into a consistent platform, and builds the marketplace through which customers adopt integrations and partners extend the ecosystem.
This is a product and platform engineering role with end-to-end ownership, from designing connector infrastructure and semantic models to shipping the experiences customers use to discover, connect, and activate integrations. You'll build the runtime that executes tool calls, the knowledge layer that makes enterprise context reusable across connectors, and the developer and marketplace foundations that help the ecosystem grow. Working with AI Research and Enterprise teams, you'll turn fragmented systems into reliable, permission-aware capabilities that agents can use to complete real work. The impact is direct: every improvement helps customers put their existing software and knowledge to work through Perplexity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the connector runtime that registers, hosts, and executes native connectors, hosted MCP servers, and CLI-backed tools through a consistent agent-facing interface.
- Build the semantic and knowledge layer, including tool and entity schemas, capability metadata, relationships, organization-specific terminology, and reusable corrections, while preserving provenance and source-system permissions.
- Design discovery, search, and recommendation systems that help agents find relevant tools and context and help users and organizations choose integrations that fit their work.
- Build the marketplace and activation experience end to end, from browsing and recommendations to installation, configuration, admin enablement, and ongoing adoption.
- Make connector execution reliable and observable, with structured results, retries, idempotency, pagination, rate-limit handling, and recovery from partial failures. Own reliability targets, production monitoring, and incident response.
- Implement connector authentication, credential isolation, and permission enforcement, partnering with Trust & Governance, Security, and Backend Platform on shared policies and tenant boundaries.
- Build the onboarding and publishing path for internal teams and external partners, including schemas, test fixtures, validation, review, and versioning.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of owning complex backend systems from design through production operation.
- Strong system design skills, including building reliable, scalable platforms that integrate heterogeneous APIs and services with clear security and isolation boundaries.
- Strong proficiency in a backend language such as Python, Go, or Rust, and hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Kubernetes.
- Deep expertise in at least one of the following:
- Connector runtimes, API platforms, or MCP servers, including authentication and authorization.
- Schema design, semantic modeling, or knowledge systems that capture relationships and organizational context.
- Search, ranking, recommendation, or tool discovery systems.
- Marketplaces, developer platforms, or enterprise onboarding and activation experiences.
- Ability to work across backend infrastructure and customer-facing product experiences, translating complex integration requirements into clear APIs, developer tools, and intuitive workflows.
- Sound technical judgment in security-sensitive, distributed systems, balancing credential isolation, permission correctness, and failure behavior with performance, usability, and delivery speed.
- A track record of leading ambiguous, cross-team initiatives from architecture through adoption, setting technical direction for shared platforms, and raising engineering quality through mentorship.
If you're excited about this role, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every qualification. We value demonstrated impact, deep ownership, and the initiative to turn ambiguity into results.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's Inference organization serves Claude to millions of users and enterprise customers with the speed, reliability, and efficiency that frontier AI demands. We build across GPUs, TPUs, and Trainium, and the complexity of our development environment grows with every platform we add. We're looking for a Staff engineer to be the technical lead for Inference Developer Productivity: the team that makes every engineer in the org dramatically more effective at building, testing, and shipping inference software.
This is a senior IC role with broad technical ownership. You'll set technical direction for the team's toolchains, workflows, and feedback loops, and you'll be the one making the hard calls on architecture, prioritization, and tradeoffs across heterogeneous accelerator platforms. You'll pair with the team's Engineering Manager, who owns hiring and people development, while you own the technical roadmap and drive the work. You'll also partner closely with Anthropic's central Infrastructure org, where company-wide developer productivity lives, to make sure Inference's multi-accelerator reality is well served without duplicating effort.
This role is for someone who has been the technical anchor on a platform or infrastructure team before, who thinks in systems and feedback loops, and who gets real satisfaction from the moment another engineer stops fighting their environment and starts shipping.
Key responsibilities
Set technical direction for Inference Developer Productivity, owning the architecture and roadmap for toolchains, dev environments, and CI/CD across GPU (CUDA), TPU, and Trainium platforms
Be the technical owner of accelerator toolchain management: compilers, drivers, libraries, frameworks, kept current, compatible, and well-tested so Inference engineers focus on model serving instead of environment archaeology
Design and build infrastructure for efficient accelerator usage during development, including devbox environments, pre- and post-land validation automation, and shared tooling that reduces the cost of working across heterogeneous hardware
Define and instrument productivity metrics for the Inference org, building the dashboards and alerting that surface regressions early (smoke tests red for extended periods, build times creeping up, toolchain breakages) and drive them to resolution
Proactively hunt down bottlenecks, toil, and friction across Inference engineering workflows, then design and build the systems that eliminate them
Act as the technical counterpart to Anthropic's central Infrastructure org, aligning on shared developer productivity initiatives, contributing Inference-specific requirements, and making the call on build vs. adopt
Mentor engineers on the team through design review, code review, and direct collaboration, raising the technical bar without owning headcount
Minimum qualifications
8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time as the technical lead or anchor on an infrastructure, platform, or developer productivity team
Deep background in systems engineering, build/test infrastructure, or ML infrastructure, with the ability to go hands-on with toolchain issues, CI/CD pipelines, and developer workflow optimization
Experience owning toolchains or development environments for compute-intensive workloads (ML training or inference, HPC, large-scale distributed systems)
Real depth in at least one accelerator ecosystem (CUDA/GPU, TPU, or Trainium/AWS Neuron) and genuine appetite to learn the others
A track record of defining and using engineering metrics to drive improvement: you've built dashboards, set SLOs on developer workflows, or led initiatives that measurably improved engineering velocity
Experience driving technical alignment across organizational boundaries, advocating for your team's needs while contributing to shared infrastructure
Strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to influence technical direction without formal authority
Preferred qualifications
Experience with ML compiler toolchains (XLA, Triton, NeuronX) or accelerator driver/firmware management at scale
Background building or running shared development environments (devboxes, remote development, ephemeral environments) for hardware-dependent workflows
Experience with CI/CD systems at scale, particularly for workloads involving accelerator hardware
Familiarity with Kubernetes-based development and job scheduling environments
Prior tech lead experience on a developer productivity or platform engineering team at a fast-growing AI/ML company

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Anthropic's API is the foundation that customers, developers, and our own products build on, and it is scaling fast. We're hiring a Technical Program Manager to drive the scaling and core efficiency programs for the API stack, working at the intersection of the API and the infrastructure it runs on (compute, databases, networking, and inference).
Today this work spans many teams and many simultaneous programs, with no single person focused on cohesion across them. You'll be the center: the person who connects isolated workstreams into one coherent roadmap, makes cross-org dependencies visible before they become blockers, and creates clarity on who owns which decisions. Success looks like an API stack that scales efficiently and predictably, with programs that land because someone is accountable for the whole picture.
Responsibilities
Drive scaling and core efficiency programs for the API stack from architectural direction through sequenced, deliverable execution
Run multiple large programs simultaneously across infrastructure, networking, and the API layer
Act as the connective tissue between API, infrastructure, database, networking, and inference teams, owning cross-org dependencies end to end
Establish decision-making clarity: who owns what, where trade-offs get made, and how isolated streams roll up into one program view
Surface risks, progress, and trade-offs to engineering leadership with the right altitude and cadence
You may be a good fit if you
Have 7+ years of technical program management experience, with a track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional programs
Have experience with API platforms, distributed systems, and core infrastructure programs and can engage meaningfully with the engineers who design and operate them
Have driven scaling, performance, or efficiency programs for high-volume production systems, including the tradeoffs across performance, reliability, and cost
Have coordinated programs spanning many partner organizations, managing cross-team dependencies, commitments, and escalations at the working level
Are highly organized and can manage multiple parallel workstreams effectively across distributed teams
Thrive in unstructured environments with a knack for bringing order to chaos and creating clarity in ambiguous situations, including where decision ownership is unclear
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design and deliver production-grade AI agents https://sierra.ai/blog/meet-the-ai-agent-engineer: You'll build and ship highly performant, reliable, and intuitive AI agents that are central, mission-critical and drive revenue directly to Sierra's growth. These aren't prototypes—they are powerful, scalable systems running in production environments across industries like finance, healthcare, and commerce.
- Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle https://sierra.ai/blog/agent-development-life-cycle (ADLC): You'll have complete ownership and autonomy from initial pilot through deployment and continuous iteration. You'll be responsible for building, tuning, and evolving AI agents in production environments, defining the standard for ADLC best practices along the way.
- Partner with large enterprises and cutting-edge startups: You’ll work directly with leaders at some of the world’s largest enterprises to understand their most pressing business challenges, and build AI agents that transform how they operate at scale. You'll also partner with the most cutting-edge startups, embedding AI agents across their entire business stack to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Build the future of the platform: Your direct work with customers will guide the evolution of Sierra's core platform. You'll surface unmet needs, prototype new tools and features, and collaborate with research, product, and platform to shape the future of AI agent development and Sierra's product.
EXAMPLE PROJECTS
These are some examples of projects that engineers on our team have worked on recently:
- Design and build AI agents for large telecommunications and media companies that consistently outperform human agents in managing subscription churn
- Develop and refine AI agents capable of navigating complex customer interactions, like troubleshooting a broken device and personalizing product recommendations
- Create generalizable AI agent frameworks tailored for industry-specific use cases. See some examples in our financial services blog https://sierra.ai/blog/five-ways-to-use-ai-agents-financial-services!
- Facilitate design partnerships for new product initiatives, such as new agent architectures, self-service capabilities, and generative agent development
- Experiment with the latest voice models and figure out how to integrate them at scale to enterprise-grade customers
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems
- Strong technical problem-solving skills, especially in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
- A builder and tinkerer’s mindset with high agency - you find creative ways to overcome obstacles and ship
- Comfort working directly with customers to understand their needs and solve real-world problems
- Excellent communication skills - clear, direct, and persuasive across technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in Mandarin is required to support interactions with Mandarin speaking clients.
EVEN BETTER...

- Prior experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go
- Previous roles where you interfaced with customers or led technical projects with external stakeholders

We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses.
The role
This is a foundational role on Sierra's Operations team, sitting at the intersection of marketing and GTM. As Marketing Operations and Analytics Lead, you'll own two things: the measurement infrastructure that connects marketing programs to pipeline and revenue; and the operational processes that make the marketing engine run efficiently and at scale.
What you'll do
- Full-funnel attribution: Design and own Sierra's marketing attribution framework, connecting campaigns, events, content, and demand gen programs to pipeline generation and ultimately LTC conversions.
- Pipeline analytics: Partner with Marketing and Sales to analyze pipegen by vertical, region, and segment. Track conversion rates at each stage and surface where marketing programs are—and aren't—generating high-quality opportunities.
- Performance reporting: Build and maintain the marketing team's core performance dashboards—campaign ROI, event pipeline influence, channel mix, lead quality, and funnel velocity.
- ICP & account intelligence: Develop data-driven ICP scoring and account prioritization models to focus marketing investment on segments with the highest win rates and ASPs. Integrate signals from first-party and third-party intent sources to keep targeting sharp.
- Experiment design & optimization: Design rigorous A/B and multivariate tests across marketing channels. Establish the statistical standards the team uses to evaluate new programs; translate results into clear, actionable recommendations—not just p-values.
- Lead management & routing: Define and maintain lead scoring models, MQL thresholds, and routing logic from first touch to Sales handoff. Partner with Sales to ensure lead quality, minimize friction, and continuously improve conversion from MQL to pipeline.
- Campaign operations: Own the operational infrastructure behind campaign execution—email programs, landing page workflows, event lead capture, and list management. Build processes that let the demand gen and events teams move quickly without creating data debt.
- Cross-functional partnership: Serve as the analytical and operational bridge between Marketing, GTM Ops, Finance, and Sales leadership—ensuring marketing metrics are aligned with company PG, POC, and ARR targets; contribute to quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and annual planning with marketing-specific performance analysis and forecasts
What you'll bring
- 12+ years spanning marketing analytics and marketing operations
- Deep expertise in attribution modeling, multi-touch funnel analysis, and pipeline/revenue measurement in long, multi-stage enterprise sales cycles
- Hands-on martech stack experience—marketing automation (Marketo, HubSpot, or similar), Salesforce, lead routing, and third-party enrichment tools
- Strong SQL skills; fluency working with large datasets in modern data stacks (ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar)
- Proven ability to translate complex analyses into clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders, including C-suite executives
- High attention to detail and a strong point of view on what "good" looks like—you've built this infrastructure before and know where the landmines are
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful.

- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.

- Flexible (unlimited) paid time off
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family
- Life insurance and disability benefits

- Discretionary benefit stipend giving people the ability to spend where it matters most
- Free alphorn lessons

Eligible full-time employees can participate in Sierra's equity plans subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.

This is an ideal environment for innovative professionals who value measurable impact, high-level strategy, and the opportunity to build scalable systems that drive significant revenue growth in a specialized, recession-proof niche.
Job Summary
We are seeking a high-performance Senior Media Buyer to spearhead growth for a portfolio of rapidly scaling insulation businesses. This is not a "maintenance" role—it is a high-ownership position for a strategic thinker who excels at Meta ads and high-ticket lead generation. You will be responsible for driving qualified applications and booked inspections for clients currently generating $400k–$3M in yearly revenue. This is a client-facing role with a clear career trajectory into management as the agency grows.
Key Responsibilities
Full ownership of Meta ad performance across roughly 10 active client accounts.
Build, test, and iterate on sophisticated lead gen funnels, VSLs, and booked-call systems.
Own the client relationship directly, leading weekly strategy calls and reporting on performance with clarity and confidence.
Monitor budgets, pacing, and delivery to ensure optimal funnel economics and ROI.
Collaborate with the founder to develop high-converting ad creative, hooks, and messaging.
Systematize and document internal processes to facilitate the onboarding of junior support.
Proactively identify and resolve underperformance issues before they are flagged by leadership.
Requirements
Proven track record managing $30k–$100k+ in monthly Meta ad spend across multiple accounts.
Deep experience in the home services, home improvement, or contractor verticals.
Mastery of high-ticket, considered-purchase sales cycles and lead quality optimization.
Experienced in mentoring junior media buyers or reviewing account work.
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead client calls independently without hand-holding.
A structured testing methodology (no ad-hoc experimentation).
Extreme ownership mentality: you are tenacious about getting results and proactive in your strategy.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience specifically within the insulation or HVAC niche.
Advanced knowledge of VSL funnel architecture and optimization.
Ability to turn complex data sets into simple, actionable narratives for clients.
Proficiency in staying ahead of Meta platform changes and implementing iOS-resilient tracking strategies.

Experimental Research:
Independently and collaboratively execute experiments, analyze results, and refine training methodologies for optimal performance and token efficiency.
Optimization & Debugging:
Investigate, debug, and eliminate bottlenecks in model efficiency, computational performance, and multi-modal alignment stability during long training runs.
System Scalability:
Contribute to the advancement of distributed training systems to ensure seamless scalability and hardware efficiency on target platforms.
A degree in Computer Science or related field. Ideally PhD in NLP, Machine Learning, or a related field, complemented by a solid track record in AI R&D (with good publications in A* conferences).
Hands-on experience contributing to large-scale LLM or Multi-Modal pre-training runs on large, distributed servers equipped with thousands of NVIDIA GPUs, ensuring scalability and impactful advancements in model performance.
Familiarity and practical experience with large-scale, distributed training frameworks, libraries and tools.
Deep knowledge of state-of-the-art transformer and non-transformer modifications aimed at enhancing intelligence, efficiency and scalability.
Strong expertise in PyTorch and Hugging Face libraries with practical experience in model development, continual pretraining, and deployment.
