How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic is growing fast, and our SOX program needs to keep up. Many of the controls that matter for financial reporting run on engineering systems: who can access production and financial systems, how code changes are reviewed and deployed, and how usage is metered and billed.
We’re hiring a Technical Program Manager to own the technology side of our SOX program. You'll work across engineering, security, GRC, Finance, and Internal Audit to design and run IT controls, drive gaps to closure, and make compliance lighter for engineering teams. You’ll also use Claude to automate evidence collection and control testing, so the program scales without more manual work.
Responsibilities
Own the technology side of the SOX program end-to-end, from planning and control design through evidence, testing, remediation, and year-end reporting
Work with engineering teams to design and roll out IT general controls and IT application controls
Work with engineering teams to build Claude-based workflows, tools, and dashboards to automate evidence collection, control testing, and monitoring that warns engineering teams about compliance issues before an audit finds them
Lead large SOX projects, such as bringing new systems into scope, with clear success criteria, dependencies, and delivery dates
Turn control requirements into concrete engineering work with clear scope, owners, and deadlines, and a design that fits how our teams already build and ship
Build processes to evaluate new products, systems, and major engineering changes for SOX impact before they ship, so the right controls are in place from the start
Build strong working relationships with engineering control owners, help them understand what their controls require, and support them in producing evidence for auditor requests
Investigate control failures down to root cause, and drive engineering teams to fix them in time for the fix to be tested
Help keep an up-to-date list of the systems, apps, and infrastructure in SOX scope, with an owner named for each control
Track system migrations and scope changes, and make sure controls are updated as systems move
Build metrics and dashboards on control health, open findings, and remediation progress
Give regular updates on program status, risks, and remediation to technical leadership
Keep improving the program: simplify control processes, remove manual steps, and raise the share of controls that run cleanly
You may be a good fit if you
Have 7+ years of experience in technical program management, IT audit, or technology compliance, with a focus on SOX and IT general controls
Have run or supported a SOX program at a public or pre-IPO company
Have used automation or AI tools to make compliance work faster and more reliable
Know IT general controls and IT application controls in depth, including access management, change management, and application controls, and how they support financial reporting
Have worked closely with external auditors
Understand cloud infrastructure and engineering workflows, such as code review, CI/CD, and cloud access, well enough to work through a control design with an engineer
Can explain technical risks and control gaps clearly to executives and other non-technical audiences
Are comfortable driving outcomes across engineering, finance, and audit teams that don't report to you
Strong candidates may also have
A background in software, systems, or security engineering
Hands-on experience building with Claude Code or other AI tools
Experience with automated controls in revenue or order-to-cash systems, such as billing and usage metering
Experience with financial systems such as ERP and billing platforms, and the controls around them
Experience building or rebuilding a SOX program at a fast-growing company
Familiarity with other security and IT frameworks, such as NIST or ISO 27001

Role Overview
This is a senior individual contributor role with significant architectural ownership. You will set the technical direction for how Backblaze detects, correlates, and responds to infrastructure incidents across our data centers, and you will mentor other engineers on the team as that platform matures. If you have a passion for making complex distributed systems visible, you are comfortable making architecture decisions that will outlive your tenure, and you are excited about applying AI and agentic automation to infrastructure operations, this role was built for you..
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Set technical direction and standards for observability across the organization, including instrumentation conventions, alerting philosophy, and dashboard design patterns.
Mentor engineers on the Observability team and act as a technical resource for SRE, Storage Engineering, and Network Engineering on observability practice.

Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions for observability and AIOps tooling, including data sovereignty and compliance considerations.
Produce and maintain design documentation, runbooks, and architectural decision records that make the platform operable and extensible by future contributors.
Observability Platform
Own and evolve our metrics pipeline, including VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, and the Consul-based service discovery layer that keeps scrape targets current as infrastructure scales.
Own and expand our logging stack (OpenSearch, Logstash, and Filebeat) across all Backblaze data centers.
Architect and expand distributed tracing with Jaeger and OpenTelemetry, extending coverage beyond the current application instrumentation to new services.
Define and maintain Grafana dashboard standards for infrastructure, storage, and application performance visibility.
Drive expansion of internal application telemetry in partnership with application teams to improve visibility.
Define capacity and retention strategy for the telemetry stack as the fleet grows.
Infrastructure & Automation
Own infrastructure-as-code for observability stack deployments across multiple Kubernetes clusters.
Write and review automated playbooks for configuration management and automation across Debian-based bare metal servers.
Partner with the SRE team on Consul-based service discovery for VictoriaMetrics scrape target automation.
Lead Ceph storage observability, including OSD health, performance metrics, and integration with alerting.
Collaborate with the Network Engineering team on BGP, routing, and network-level observability.
Required Qualifications
8+ years in a systems engineering, SRE, DevOps, or observability-focused role, including demonstrated technical leadership on a platform or infrastructure team.
Deep hands-on experience with Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, or equivalent metrics platforms, including PromQL, Alertmanager, and operating these systems at scale.
Experience designing and operating log aggregation pipelines such as Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Logstash, Filebeat, or similar.
Working knowledge of distributed tracing (Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, or equivalent), including instrumentation strategy, not just operation.
Proficiency in Python and/or Go for automation and tooling.
Experience with Kubernetes, including deploying workloads and understanding pod networking and storage.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling and configuration management.
Strong understanding of Linux internals, with Debian/Ubuntu preferred.
Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar on a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You'll work across engineering, SRE, security, and leadership, and you'll be expected to write design documents that drive decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading the evaluation or deployment of AIOps tooling, including alert correlation, deduplication, or automated root cause analysis.
Experience building, deploying, or operating AI agents or agentic AI systems. This is a strong differentiator.
Familiarity with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI) or self-hosted LLM inference in an infrastructure context.
Familiarity with Ceph storage, including OSD management, pool configuration, and CRUSH maps.
Experience with incident management platforms.
Familiarity with BGP, network observability, or working in multi-DC environments.
Experience with secrets management in production environments.
Experience operating in a regulated or compliance-driven environment.
Prior experience in a storage-focused company or hyperscale infrastructure environment.
What You'll Work On
A telemetry stack spanning several data centers with exabytes of storage under observation.
Real infrastructure at scale: Kubernetes, Ceph, Vitess, KVM, and a custom storage platform serving hundreds of thousands of customers.
A collaborative team that values engineering excellence, transparency, and operational rigor.
Pay Transparency
To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials.
The expected salary range for this role is $178,000 - $200,000 plus 10% target annual bonus and RSUs.
At Backblaze, we value being fair and good to our customers, partners, and employees. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of our values. We are committed to fostering a workforce where all employees feel a sense of belonging regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, socio-economic status, ability, veteran status, and education. Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 - our rapidly developed humanoid platform being deployed in real industrial environments - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Lead Prototype Engineer on the Core Platform team, you will lead and grow a team of prototype engineers and technicians while staying hands-on at the bench. You’ll set the technical standard for how we build, diagnose, and evolve advanced humanoid robotic platforms. Your focus is electrical integration, bring-up, and root-cause analysis across the full hardware lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to field repair. You’ll emphasize reliability and repeatable processes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of prototype engineers and technicians. Set priorities, allocate work, and raise the team’s technical and process standards.
- Stay hands-on: personally drive troubleshooting and resolution of the most complex electrical issues in prototype humanoid robots, across operational and in-development systems. Lead detailed failure analysis and share learnings with hardware and software engineering teams.
- Own electrical bring-up of new prototype builds, including power distribution, motor drive and actuator electronics, sensor integration, communications buses, and high-density electromechanical integrations.
- Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and software engineers on prototype design, assembly, and design-for-test.
- Define, maintain, and enforce test procedures, troubleshooting guides, and repair runbooks for the prototyping lab, and make sure the team follows them.
- Design, document, and iterate on cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and test jigs built for repeated use on dynamic robotic platforms.
- Own lab planning and priorities: build schedules, resource allocation, tooling, equipment, and spares. Balance competing demands from multiple engineering teams.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement in processes and products, reducing downtime, improving test and repair efficiency, and raising first-pass yield and manufacturability.
- Build strong feedback loops across design, build, and test, and communicate status, risks, and lessons learned to engineering leadership.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong, hands-on electrical engineering background in rapid prototyping, debugging custom hardware, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems in robotics or similar domains.
- Deep working knowledge of low-voltage power and mixed-signal circuits, motor drives, connectors, sensors, and compact electromechanical systems. You are comfortable using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and other bench instrumentation to diagnose faults.
- Experience reading schematics and PCB layouts, performing board-level rework and repair, and designing or specifying harnesses and cable assemblies.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring engineers or technicians, formally or as a technical lead. You are comfortable taking on direct reports and balancing people management with hands-on work.
- Track record of communicating concisely through documentation, procedures, test plans, diagnostics, and lessons learned.
- Adept at collaborating across electrical, mechanical, and software boundaries to solve urgent, ambiguous problems. Mechanical prototyping skills are a plus.
- Comfortable in a high-velocity, high-ambiguity startup setting where priorities shift fast.
Preferred:
- Experience designing for manufacturability and reliability in human-sized or mobile robotics.
- Familiarity with automated test and diagnostic tools used in modern hardware labs.
- Experience building or scaling a prototyping or field engineering team, including hiring and setting up lab processes.
- Mechanical assembly and integration experience alongside strong electrical skills.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Comprehensive health coverage for US‑based employees, including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, with virtual care and employee assistance resources.
- Meaningful time off to rest and recharge: 23 days of PTO (accrued), separate sick leave, and paid company holidays.
- 401(k) retirement plan with 4% employer match.
- Competitive equity: stock options with meaningful upside as we scale.
- Free daily catered lunch, snacks, and drinks in‑office.
- Collaboration with top‑tier engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics.
- Freedom to influence the product and own key initiatives.

An overview of this role
As a Senior Partner Solutions Manager, Strategic Partnerships, you'll own the technical strategy and validation of joint work with GitLab's strategic partners: hyperscalers, artificial intelligence (AI) labs, AI-native companies, and development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) vendors. You'll work with partners, Product, and Research and Development (R&D) to turn partner and customer needs into integrations, influence product design, and build the business case for each joint effort, from the first architecture review to a shipped integration. In this role you will also own the AI model evaluation process with our model partners, working closely with our R&D teams to assess new models ahead of release and ensure GitLab is built on the best-performing models for our customers. Unlike a customer-facing Solutions Architect role focused on adoption, you'll work with partners to make GitLab better. This role has no sales quota or variable pay.
At GitLab, our mission is simple: to enable everyone to contribute to and co-create the software that powers our world. Our platform doesn't just bring people together-it unites teams and organizations, breaking down barriers and redefining what's possible in software development.
What You’ll Do
Own the end-to-end technical strategy for assigned strategic partners, connecting technical requirements with joint business objectives.
Turn partner technology and roadmaps into integration, architecture, and product opportunities across the GitLab platform, from planning to monitoring and AI agents and model integrations.
Resolve complex technical issues across GitLab and partner systems, including cloud architecture, tool integrations, and AI model and agent evaluation and integration. Build working prototypes to validate concepts with partners.
Manage the end-to-end AI model evaluation process with our model partners, coordinating with R&D to secure early access, align on evaluation criteria and timelines, and translate results into partnership and product roadmap decisions.
Design and facilitate partner workshops, architecture reviews, and cloud financial management (FinOps) sessions, bringing in the right participants and documenting outcomes and next steps.
Build business cases for joint technical efforts, defining expected gains, costs, and resources, and securing agreement from partner managers, R&D, and leadership.
Bring partner requirements and technical feedback into Product and R&D discussions to influence product design and the roadmap.
Coordinate Engineering, Product, FinOps, Finance, Sales, and Marketing with partner technical teams to move joint work from evaluation to delivery.
Track cloud, AI, and DevSecOps developments to advise partnership investment, and share reusable findings through documentation, the handbook, reference architectures, and technical content.
What You’ll Bring
Experience as a Senior Solutions Architect, Partner Solutions Architect, Partner Engineer, or in a similar senior technical role. Experience with technology partners or alliances is strongly preferred.
An end-to-end understanding of the software development lifecycle, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and DevSecOps, with the ability to use GitLab in depth.
Hands-on cloud architecture experience with at least one hyperscaler: Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure. Cloud cost or FinOps experience is a plus.
Working knowledge of AI model evaluation frameworks and agent technology, including large language model (LLM) application programming interfaces (APIs), agent frameworks, and Model Context Protocol (MCP), and how they fit into developer workflows.
Experience designing and facilitating technical workshops with senior technical and business stakeholders, and building business cases that scope work, estimate gains and costs, and size resources.
An autonomous, ownership-driven approach: you identify work and move it forward without waiting for a project backlog.
Clear, concise written and spoken communication, adapting technical and commercial trade-offs for audiences from engineers to executives.
Ability to travel about once a quarter and work hours that overlap with Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). If you're on the US West Coast, expect to start around 7 a.m. Pacific Time; when the day ends is flexible.
About the team
You'll join Strategic Partnerships and report to the VP, Corporate Development and Strategic Partnerships. The team manages GitLab's relationships with hyperscalers, AI companies, and select DevSecOps companies, acting as the business owner and coordinating work across hosting contracts, product integrations, go-to-market activities, purchasing, and partner-specific marketing. Partner managers and directors lead each relationship; you'll own the technical side across partner types and collaborate with R&D, Engineering, FinOps, Finance, Sales, and Marketing. The role is remote, with Eastern Time preferred and other US time zones possible.

ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The ways customers buy from us are multiplying as fast as the business is growing. Enterprise order forms. Private offers through AWS, GCP, and Azure. A self-serve business running on usage-based pricing, with commits, drawdowns, and true-ups behind it. Each one is a distinct path from signature to cash, and each one runs today on some mix of manual steps and automation that grew up with the business.
This role owns what comes next. You'll run order operations end to end - booking, provisioning, invoicing, amendments, and renewals - on a stack we picked deliberately and recently: Salesforce, Metronome for metering and billing, Rillet for ERP. The stack is modern, but the processes on top of it were built to keep up with growth, not designed to scale. Your job is to decide what each one should become: keep it, rebuild it, automate it, or retire it.
Our bias is to invest in systems rather than in a growing queue of manual work, so you'll be setting the automation roadmap at the same time you're operating the function - deciding what a person should touch, what a workflow should handle, and what should never have been a step in the first place. Getting that right is what lets order volume grow by an order of magnitude without ops growing with it.
This is a senior individual contributor role. You'll own order operations, working closely with Deal Strategy and Operations, GTM Systems, Finance and Accounting, and Enterprise Engineering. Those teams are your partners and much of your build capacity. Bringing them onto one shared order-to-cash roadmap is a core part of the job, and the reason we're hiring someone senior to do it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the order-to-cash path end to end: order form intake from Deal Desk, booking in Salesforce, plan and entitlement setup in Metronome, invoicing and revenue recognition through Rillet, and the amendments, true-ups, and renewals that follow
- Build out cloud marketplace operations across AWS, GCP, and Azure: private offer setup, usage reporting to each marketplace, and reconciling marketplace disbursements back to what we billed. Every new channel launches against defined readiness criteria, so marketplace deals run on the same clean path as direct ones
- Own self-serve billing operations: usage metering, plan changes, dunning, credits, rebills, refunds, and the escalations behind them
- Own billing and usage completeness at month-end close. Every order, credit, and metered event is reconciled between Metronome and Rillet before revenue is recognized, not after
- Partner with Deal Strategy and Product as our pricing evolves. Bring the billing view into pricing and deal-structure decisions early, so new models and non-standard terms can be billed accurately and automated, not handled by hand
- Set the automation roadmap. Instrument the path, put a number on every place a human touches an order, and decide what gets automated, what gets designed away, and what stays manual on purpose
- Treat every billing error as a defect: find the root cause and fix the class of problem, not just the one invoice
- Ship automations yourself where that's fastest, and partner with GTM Systems and Enterprise Engineering where the work belongs in core systems or the product
- Write the playbook and the controls behind it: approvals, segregation of duties, reconciliations, and exception handling, built so order ops scales through systems rather than headcount and holds up under audit
- Own three numbers and move them: touchless order rate, signature-to-provisioned cycle time, and billing accuracy
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 6+ years in order management, order-to-cash, billing operations, or revenue operations at a B2B SaaS company, including time building the function at an early-stage or fast-scaling one
- Hands-on fluency with a modern billing and ERP stack. We run Salesforce, Metronome, and Rillet - you should know something comparable well enough to have opinions, and get to depth on ours quickly
- Real experience with usage-based pricing. Per-seat is straightforward; metered consumption, commits, drawdowns, overages, and true-ups are where order ops gets interesting, and that's most of our business
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 and month-end close. You don't need to be an accountant, but you should know what Revenue Accounting needs from billing data and why
- Cloud marketplace experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure private offers), or a track record of getting deep on a system like that fast
- A history of automating your own job. We'll ask you to walk us through a manual process you deleted: what it cost before, what you built, and what it costs now
- The ability to build alignment across teams with different priorities and get to a decision, without relying on org authority
- Comfort shipping a v0 earlier than feels comfortable, then iterating with real feedback
NICE TO HAVE
- SQL, Python, or low-code tooling in your own hands rather than on someone else's backlog
- Experience building agents or LLM workflows for internal operations. We'd like to run more of our own back office on the LangSmith Platform, wherever it's the right tool and meets the same accuracy bar as the rest of order-to-cash
- Audit prep or SOX readiness experience
