ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
We're looking for distributed systems engineers and product-minded generalists to build the distributed runtime that powers large-scale LLM inference on Baseten. Our inference platform empowers customers to deploy and operate cutting-edge models with industry-leading performance, scalability, and reliability. It also powers Model APIs, our hosted endpoints for the latest open-source models. You'll work across the stack, from the developer experience customers use to deploy models, through the libraries behind features like tool calling and reasoning, down to the systems that orchestrate deployments on Kubernetes and route traffic efficiently. Your job is to make sure every model on our platform is fast, reliable, and cost-efficient. You'll join a small, high-impact team at the intersection of distributed systems, model performance, infrastructure, and product, helping define how developers use AI models at scale. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy owning systems in production, solving hard integration problems, and making complex infrastructure simple and reliable for users.
EXAMPLE INITIATIVES
You'll get to work on these types of projects on our Inference Platform:

- Implement platform fundamentals such as API versioning, validation, usage metering, quotas, and authentication.
- Instrument deep observability (metrics, traces, logs) and build repeatable benchmarks for speed, reliability, and quality. Help set best practices for testing, release automation, and operational excellence.
- Debug and harden complex production systems spanning Kubernetes, distributed runtimes, networking, and GPU workloads to improve reliability and scalability.
- Partner with Inference Performance engineers and other teams to make new optimizations broadly available to customers and easy to configure.
- Own projects end to end, from architecture through deployment, monitoring, and iteration on customer feedback. Along the way, make thoughtful tradeoffs between performance, reliability, operational simplicity, and developer experience.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years building and operating distributed systems, backend infrastructure, or large-scale APIs where reliability, latency, and scale are first-class concerns.
- A proven track record of owning low-latency, reliable backend services, including rate limiting, auth, quotas, metering, and migrations.
- Infrastructure instincts with a feel for performance: profiling, tracing, capacity planning, and SLO management.
- Comfort debugging performance and reliability issues across multiple layers of the stack, from application behavior down to runtime and infrastructure internals.
- A strong sense of developer experience. You think about how systems are used, not just how they work.
- Eagerness to learn new languages, frameworks, and systems, and a real interest in inference engineering. Prior ML or LLM experience isn't required, though experience with model serving or inference systems is a plus.
- Excellent written communication and collaboration skills, including writing clear design docs and working across functions.

- Experience operating GPU workloads in production.
- A background in developer-facing infrastructure or APIs, or contributions to open-source infrastructure or ML systems.
- Familiarity with observability tooling, CI/CD systems, or release automation.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.

At Teleport, using the best available tools and systems isn’t a nice-to-have — it’s part of how we work. We expect every Teleporter to actively adopt modern technology to do their job better: move faster, think harder, and produce work they’re proud of. That means embracing automation, better documentation systems, analytics, and tools like Claude regularly, bringing technology into your problem-solving, and sharing what works with your team.

ABOUT DOCKER
Docker has been one of the most loved brands in developer tooling, trusted by more than 20 million monthly users and over 20 billion container image pulls. From solo founders to the world's largest companies, developers rely on Docker to build, share, and run their applications across our suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout.
We are a globally distributed, remote-first team building the tools that define how software gets built and delivered. As AI agents redefine software development, Docker is at the center of that shift, providing the sandboxed environments, verified images, and secure infrastructure that make autonomous workflows trustworthy by default.
_______________________________________________________________________
The Products Team at Docker is looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead components of Docker Sandboxes. You will own and drive this strategic product area from high-level concept design through delivery, adoption, and operation. You will help shape how developers and AI agents use fast, secure, isolated environments across local and cloud workflows. You will work closely with developers inside and outside of Docker, our customers, and our partners to expand our open ecosystem offering and provide value. As the company and ecosystem grow, you will help foster teams eager to continuously build, measure, and learn.
To thrive in this role, you will need experience working with developers, deep technical fluency in systems and developer infrastructure, and prior experience as a software engineer. You will need to understand containers, sandboxes/microVMs, virtualization technologies, hypervisors, the software development lifecycle, and how untrusted or agent-generated code can be safely executed and orchestrated. You will need a relentless drive to try new things and an eye for detail. Your long-term success will depend on your ability to own the product roadmap, earn the trust of the developer community, and scale reliable services. Most importantly, you will need to be comfortable taking ownership of big objectives with big goals, working with a cross-functional team, and maintaining a bias for action.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You own Docker Sandboxes, its long-term vision, roadmap, revenue, adoption, and results.
- You believe in and can succinctly articulate our customers, their workflows, and their pain points. You empathize with the world they live in and the security, performance, compatibility, and cost constraints they work through.
- You will engage deeply with developers building AI agents, coding environments, CI and testing systems, and other workloads that require secure, isolated execution, finding solutions for today while optimizing for tomorrow's vision.
- You enjoy building infrastructure products that are easy to adopt and use. You will turn complex tradeoffs across isolation, startup time, performance, density, networking, storage, and cost into simple product experiences.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and will guide product definition, feature prioritization, and scope in concert with engineering, design, security, operations, and go-to-market teams.
- You are a fan of iterative development, working with customers and cross-functional teams to hypothesize, measure adoption and impact, learn from releases, and continually improve the roadmap.
QUALIFICATIONS
- You have deep empathy for the needs of developers and are obsessed with talking to your users.
- You have prior professional experience as a software engineer, ideally in systems, infrastructure, platform engineering, developer tools, or cloud.
- You have strong technical familiarity with sandboxes/microVMs, containers, virtualization technologies, and hypervisors, including the isolation and security boundaries each provides.
- You understand the building blocks of modern developer infrastructure, including Linux, container runtimes, orchestration, networking, storage, APIs, and cloud services.
- You have experience designing, building, or operating systems that execute customer-provided, untrusted, or agent-generated code at scale.
- You are comfortable interacting with a command-line interface and discussing APIs, SDKs, and technical architecture with engineers and developers.
- You have experience building B2B or SaaS products, or a background in public cloud and developer infrastructure.
- You understand software supply chain and software security concerns, including multi-tenant isolation, identity, secrets management, observability, and reliability.
- You can break down complex technical problems into small, releasable, user-valuable features.
- You can explain complex ideas simply and communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and visually across diverse stakeholders.
- You can analyze qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions, define success metrics, and prioritize investments.
- You have a collaborative approach, experience running products from greenfield to scale, and the ability to work with fast-moving, distributed, cross-functional teams. You are a doer as well as a strategist; we are small and need all hands on deck.
WHAT TO EXPECT
FIRST 30 DAYS
- Get to know Docker: our vision, mission, and values.
- Understand the Docker Sandboxes team's mission, product strategy, and technical architecture.
- Meet the team along with peers across the business unit and company.
- Work closely with designers, researchers, engineers, security partners, and customers to understand user needs and current pain points.
- Work with your manager and team to review and create quarterly goals.
- Understand the product roadmap, key technical and business tradeoffs, and the data available to make data-driven decisions.
FIRST 90 DAYS
- Understand the company's and business unit's product vision and how Docker Sandboxes contributes to it.
- Provide clarity on product vision, target users, priority use cases, and how the team contributes to the overall success of Docker.
- Develop a deep understanding of our developers and customers, how they use isolated environments, and why they choose Docker.
- Shape the team roadmap and product strategy in close collaboration with design, engineering, security, and go-to-market peers.
- Lead the definition of team OKRs and success metrics for the quarter, and provide clear progress reports.
ONE YEAR OUTLOOK
- Lead product initiatives across cross-functional teams that make secure, isolated execution simple and valuable for developers and AI agents.
- Drive the long-term direction of Docker Sandboxes, including improvements to adoption, ecosystem integration, reliability, scale, unit economics, and ARR.

Replit is the agentic software creation platform that enables anyone to build applications using natural language. With millions of users worldwide, Replit is democratizing software development by removing traditional barriers to application creation.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Security Engineer with deep incident response experience to help defend Replit, a fast-moving, cloud-native AI vibe-coding platform. You'll be the person who takes charge when something goes wrong. You'll lead investigations from first signal to root cause, coordinate containment across Security, SRE, and Engineering, and keep stakeholders informed while the incident is moving fast.
This isn't a pure responder role. We want a well-rounded security engineer who has run real incidents and wants to make the next one faster. You'll write the scripts, automations, and tooling that take manual work out of triage, evidence collection, and containment. You'll also turn lessons from each incident into better detections, playbooks, and platform hardening.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Incident Response
- Serve as incident commander or technical lead for security incidents, from detection and triage through containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review.
- Coordinate response across Security, SRE, Engineering, Legal, and leadership. Drive decisions under pressure and keep a clear record of actions taken.
- Communicate incident status, impact, and risk clearly to technical and executive audiences.
- Participate in and help shape the security on-call rotation.
Investigation & Forensics
- Investigate suspicious activity across cloud infrastructure, containers, identity systems, and application layers using SIEM, Cloud Logging, telemetry, and host and container artifacts.
- Determine scope, root cause, attacker behavior, and blast radius for confirmed incidents.
- Quickly assess whether emerging threats (0-days, active exploitation campaigns, bug bounty findings, customer reports) apply to Replit, and whether we're already affected.
IR Automation & Tooling
- Build scripts, automations, and tools (Python, Go, Bash, or directly on Replit) that speed up response, such as automated enrichment, evidence collection, credential and session revocation, workload isolation, and alert triage.
- Develop and maintain response playbooks and runbooks, and automate them where possible.
- Integrate response workflows with SIEM, SOAR, ticketing, and chat tooling to cut time-to-contain.
Detection & Continuous Improvement
- Turn incident findings into new or improved detections, logging coverage, and visibility.
- Lead blameless post-incident reviews and drive remediation items to completion.
- Run tabletop exercises and simulations to test readiness and find gaps.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience leading or serving as technical lead on security incidents in a cloud or SaaS environment.
- Strong hands-on investigation skills with SIEM, cloud audit logs, and log-based analysis. Comfortable working through large datasets under time pressure.
- Proficiency writing production-quality scripts or tools in Python, Go, or Bash for investigation and automation.
- Solid knowledge of cloud architecture and security, especially Google Cloud Platform (IAM, audit logging, GKE, networking).
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containers, including how to investigate and contain compromised workloads.
- Understanding of identity systems, SaaS architectures, and common cloud attack paths (credential theft, privilege escalation, supply chain, token abuse).
- Familiarity with software engineering fundamentals, CI/CD pipelines, and package ecosystems, so you can work effectively with Engineering on code-level fixes.
- Understanding of IR frameworks and lifecycle (for example NIST 800-61), plus the vulnerability lifecycle and exploitability analysis.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building or operating SOAR or other response automation platforms.
- Digital forensics experience with cloud, Linux hosts, or containers.
- Experience with threat intelligence, threat hunting, or security research.
- Experience with bug bounty programs or coordinated vulnerability disclosure.
- Familiarity with detection-as-code practices and writing detection rules.
- Experience in fast-paced, cloud-native, or AI/ML-driven environments.
- Relevant certifications (such as GCIH, GCFA, GCFR), or equivalent hands-on experience.
WHAT WE VALUE
- Curiosity & initiative: Strong desire to understand attacker behaviors, emerging threats, and how they apply to real-world systems.
- Speed & analytical rigor: Ability to quickly assess high-risk vulnerabilities with clear, evidence-based reasoning.
- Collaboration: Comfort working across cross-functional teams spanning Security, SRE, Engineering, and Infrastructure.
- Clear communication: Ability to explain findings, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ownership mindset: Takes initiative to drive investigations, improvements, and remediations to completion.
- Continuous learning: Passion for staying up to date on new vulnerabilities, exploit trends, and cloud-native security best practices.

AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
Modal’s Inference Runtime team owns the container runtime stack used to run inference and training workloads across our fleet. We work at the boundary of Linux, containers, filesystems, storage, GPU drivers, and distributed systems. Our goal is to make demanding ML workloads start quickly, run efficiently, and remain securely isolated — whether they use a single GPU, hundreds of gigabytes of memory, or multiple GPUs connected with RDMA.We’re looking for a systems engineer who enjoys working deep in the stack. You’ll build production runtime infrastructure in Rust and Go, diagnose difficult Linux and performance problems, and help determine the architecture of Modal’s container platform. You’ll also work closely with maintainers of gVisor and contribute to the runtime itself when the right fix belongs upstream.
THE WORK:
- Make container startup, checkpoint, and restore dramatically faster for large inference and training workloads.
- Build multi-GPU and accelerator-aware snapshotting, including efficient handling of GPU memory and RDMA-enabled workloads.
- Design zero-copy and low-copy data paths between container memory, filesystems, storage, and Modal’s runtime.
- Optimize large snapshot pipelines using techniques such as parallel uploads, direct I/O, incremental snapshots, and more efficient memory handling.
- Improve container image and filesystem performance across EROFS, FUSE, page caches, overlay filesystems, and remote storage.
- Extend our sandboxed runtime to support new GPUs, drivers, profiling tools, and device capabilities across NVIDIA and AMD hardware.
- Debug complex failures involving system calls, virtual memory, process lifecycle, kernel behavior, GPU drivers, and container isolation.
- Safely roll out runtime and kernel changes across a heterogeneous fleet using compatibility controls, scheduling constraints, feature flags, and observability.
- Work across the runtime, scheduler, storage, and GPU infrastructure—and take ambiguous production problems from investigation through deployment.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Strong Linux systems knowledge, particularly processes, virtual memory, filesystems, system calls, scheduling, namespaces, cgroups, and signals.
- Experience building or debugging container runtimes, sandboxes, Linux kernel, or similarly low-level infrastructure.
- Strong programming ability in Rust, Go, or another systems language, with an interest in becoming productive in both Rust and Go.
- Experience profiling and improving systems where memory movement, I/O, synchronization, or kernel interactions dominate performance.
- Comfort debugging across abstraction boundaries, from application behavior down through runtimes, drivers, and the kernel.
- An ability to turn loosely defined production problems into well-designed, reliable systems.
- A desire to own important infrastructure and work closely with both internal teams and customers.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Any of the following would be helpful, but none is required:
- gVisor, runsc, runc, OCI runtimes, seccomp, or checkpoint/restore systems.
- Linux kernel development, virtualization, sandboxing, kernel modules, or device proxying.
- CUDA, ROCm, GPU drivers, accelerator virtualization, or GPU profiling.
- RDMA and high-performance networking.
- FUSE, EROFS, direct I/O, mmap, page-cache behavior, or storage engines.
- Large-memory or multi-GPU inference and training systems.
- Contributions to open-source systems software.
Prior gVisor or machine-learning experience is not required. We care more about strong systems fundamentals, curiosity, and the ability to learn unfamiliar parts of the stack.
WHY THIS ROLE:
The container runtime is directly on the critical path for inference performance. Improvements here can substantially reduce cold starts, increase token throughput, unlock new accelerator types, and make previously impractical workloads possible. This is an opportunity to work on unusually deep systems problems with immediate production impact. You’ll have room to shape the architecture, contribute to open-source runtime technology, and take ownership of foundational infrastructure used by every inference and training workload on Modal.

THE ROLE:
We're hiring a Field Marketing Manager in San Francisco to build and run the programs that turn Modal's target accounts into active customers. You'll work closely with our Sales team to plan regional campaigns, run events for the engineers and technical leaders we sell to, and report on how those programs contribute to pipeline and revenue. This is a hands-on role for someone who has run account-based field programs at a technical company and wants to help shape the function as it grows.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Act as a strategic partner to Sales, aligning field programs with sales priorities and helping AEs create and accelerate pipeline in their territories.
- Develop and execute account-based programs for named accounts, working with Sales to identify key stakeholders and the right mix of touchpoints for each.
- Decide which industry conferences and sponsorships are worth investing in. Own what we bring, who we send, and whether we go back next year.
- Plan and host high-touch 1:1 and 1:few events for prospects and customers, such as executive dinners, roundtables, and technical workshops, in partnership with AEs.
- Own pre-event and post-event execution, including targeted invitations, meeting booking, and timely follow-up with Sales.
- Build co-marketing programs with VCs, accelerators, and ecosystem partners to reach their portfolio companies and customers.
- Track and report on program performance, including meetings booked, account engagement, and sourced and influenced pipeline, and use the results to plan future investment.
- Own the VIP experience at Modal's flagship events, including our annual conference, Runtime.
- Build repeatable processes and playbooks as the team grows.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A track record running field programs at a technical company. You can point to specific ones and clear outcomes.
- You've worked directly with AEs and you're happy sharing a number with them.
- Good judgment about where to spend. A lot of sponsorships look better than they perform, and you can tell which is which. Experience in AI or developer tools helps here.
- Organized and self-directed. This role runs many events, partners, and vendors at once.
- Experience producing events across a range of formats, from small executive dinners to large conference sponsorships and brand events.
- Strong attention to detail and a high bar for taste and the quality of every event and touchpoint.
- Comfort with data and reporting, including CRM, attribution, and pipeline analysis.
- Familiarity with ABM, intent data, and marketing automation tools.
- Experience building AI into marketing workflows, such as account research, audience development, event operations, and reporting.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience at an AI, developer tools, or cloud infrastructure company.
- Experience marketing to technical audiences such as engineers, ML teams, and technical executives.
