About the Role
We are expanding into

Head of Business Development
to lead our go-to-market, build employer and partner pipelines, and scale this vertical across Mexico.
This is a
founding role for the product line
— you will define the distribution strategy, forge partnerships with employers and HR platforms, and work closely with Product, Risk, and Technology to make payroll-integrated credit a reality at scale. We are looking for someone who has
done this before
— either at a payroll bank or a fintech with deep employer integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Own the full commercial strategy for Salary Backed Products in Mexico
Identify, negotiate, and close partnerships with employers, HR platforms, and payroll system providers (e.g., Nómina integrations, HRMS vendors)
Build and manage a pipeline of corporate clients, prioritizing scale and payroll volume
Drive integration agreements with employers and accounting/ERP systems to enable automatic deduction flows
Collaborate with Product and Tech teams to define integration requirements and employer onboarding flows
Develop pricing, risk, and commission frameworks alongside Finance and Risk teams
Represent Novacard in the market — events, conferences, and industry networks
Build and lead a business development team as the vertical scales
Track and report on key commercial metrics: employer pipeline, activation rates, disbursement volumes, delinquency by segment
What We're Looking For
We are
exclusively interested in experienced local professionals
with hands-on knowledge of the Salary Backed / Nómina lending business in Mexico. Ideal candidates come from:
Banks with payroll/salary infrastructure
, such as:
BBVA Mexico · Banorte · Santander Mexico · Citibanamex · Inbursa · Banco Azteca · BanCoppel
Fintechs with employer/payroll integrations
, such as:
Minu · Klinc · Monto · Pulpi · ePesos · Dey · Paynom · Akiba
(or similar players in the earned wage access / salary-backed credit space)
Required:
5+ years of experience in Business Development, Partnerships, or Commercial roles in financial services in Mexico
Direct experience with Salary Backed Loans, Nómina Credits, or Earned Wage Access (EWA) products
Established network among HR leaders, CFOs, payroll managers, and/or payroll software vendors
Understanding of payroll deduction mechanics, employer liability, and regulatory framework (CNBV, CONDUSEF)
Proven track record of closing and managing B2B2C distribution deals
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Fluent Spanish; English B2+ is a plus
Nice to have:
Experience with API-based integrations to HRMS / ERP / payroll systems (SAP, Workday, CONTPAQi, Aspel)
Experience scaling a credit product from 0 to volume in Mexico
What We Offer
Leadership ownership of a new, high-potential product vertical
Opportunity to build your team and define the playbook from scratch
Remote-first, flexible working environment
Competitive base salary + performance-based bonus tied to commercial KPIs
Work with a high-performing, international, cross-functional team
A fast-growing digital financial product with clear growth trajectory
Real impact: you are not executing someone else's strategy — you are building it

The Platform Auth team’s goal is to support our ‘one customer identity’ vision by providing tools, processes, and expertise for our engineering teams to create a unified access management experience while simplifying and standardizing engineering patterns in the space. We are looking for engineers to join our growing team!
What you will be doing:
- Design and build the platform services that power authentication, authorization, and audit across ClickHouse Cloud. This includes a unified RBAC/ReBAC service, token issuance and session handling, and the SDKs that product teams embed to make authorization decision.
- Model permissions and access control primitives (resources, roles, relationships, policies) that work across ClickHouse, SQL Console, ClickPipes, and HyperDX. Ship the libraries and APIs that other engineers build against.
- Implement protocol-level support for SAML, SCIM, OIDC, OAuth2, and MFA/passwordless flows. Own the integrations that make enterprise SSO and provisioning work end to end.
- Build the audit and authorization-decision telemetry pipeline so every access decision is observable, queryable, and surfaceable to customers.
- Partner with product engineering teams to migrate bespoke per-product auth implementations onto the shared platform, and design APIs that make adoption straightforward.
- Carry the platform on-call rotation and own production reliability for systems on the critical path of every customer request.
What you bring along:
- Minimum 4+ years building production backend systems at scale. Comfort with at least one systems language (Go, Rust, C++) and one application language (TypeScript, Python).
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing an authentication or authorization service. Examples include building a token issuer, an OIDC or OAuth2 provider, a policy engine, a permissions model, or an FGA/ReBAC system in the style of Zanzibar, OpenFGA, SpiceDB, or Cedar.
- Working knowledge of SAML, SCIM, OIDC, and OAuth2 at the protocol level and are able to implement them.
- Experience designing APIs and SDKs that other engineers depend on, with strong opinions on what makes them adoptable.
- Experience operating distributed systems at scale, including caching strategies, consistency tradeoffs, and multi-region concerns.
- Familiarity with identity vendors (Auth0, WorkOS, AWS/GCP/Azure IAM) as building blocks you've extended or integrated into a larger platform.
- Strong production debugging instincts and a high bar for systems that are easy to develop against.
Bonus:
- You've built or contributed to a Zanzibar-style authorization system, or run an OpenFGA or SpiceDB deployment beyond the demo.
- You've designed a multi-tenant permission model that survived real customer requirements like custom roles, hierarchies, delegation, and ABAC attributes.
- You've shipped an SDK that product teams across an org actually adopted, and have opinions about why most internal SDKs fail.
