Impact of a Billing Systems Architect
As an Enterprise Billing Systems Architect at Upsun, you are the technical anchor of our billing infrastructure, playing a vital role in ensuring our revenue operations, pricing structures, and financial integrations run seamlessly as our business scales. Picking up primary ownership from our implementation partner, you serve as the dedicated technical lead bridging Finance, Product, and Engineering.
You’re deeply analytical, systems-minded, and collaborative—someone who thrives on translating complex business, pricing, and accounting rules into reliable system logic. Working downstream from our core engineering and data mediation teams, you ensure the integrity of our Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) platform while continuously optimizing platform performance and automation.
Beyond day-to-day platform administration, you contribute to the long-term evolution of our billing architecture—supporting new pricing model launches, complex usage rating schemes, and financial system integrations. Your attention to detail, technical versatility, and cross-functional mindset ensure our revenue pipeline remains scalable, compliant, and friction-free.
What to expect
Billing Infrastructure & Administration:
Serve as the hands-on technical owner of our BillingPlatform environment, configuring catalogs, price cards, usage rating rules, and automated invoice schedules.
System Operations & Maintenance:
Own ongoing platform health, including system updates, pricing launches, recurring bill-run troubleshooting, sync exception handling, and root-cause issue resolution.
Data Ingestion & Analysis:
Utilize SQL to perform data validation, rating engine auditing, and operational reporting while collaborating with Engineering to receive mediated usage data (e.g., via DigitalRoute or Kafka).
Integrations & API Management:
Maintain and optimize clean, API-driven integrations connecting BillingPlatform to upstream CRMs (e.g. Salesforce), downstream ERP/GL tools (e.g., NetSuite), and payment gateways (e.g., Stripe).
Revenue Recognition Alignment:
Partner closely with Accounting to ensure system rating rules, revenue schedules, and general ledger mappings satisfy ASC 606 and IFRS 15 compliance standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Gather technical and operational requirements directly from Accounting, Finance, Sales Ops, and Product teams, translating their vision into sustainable platform configuration.
Data Integrity & Migration:
Maintain billing data continuity and manage subscription data updates or migrations without disrupting ongoing financial operations or revenue recognition flows.
What you bring
Q2C Platform Experience:
Proven hands-on experience configuring and administering enterprise Quote-to-Cash or billing platforms (e.g., Zuora, Salesforce Revenue Cloud/CPQ, NetSuite Billing, Aria Systems, or BillingPlatform).
Data & Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency with SQL for querying and auditing billing data, alongside a solid grasp of REST APIs, webhooks, and ETL workflows.
Modern Pricing Expertise:
Experience supporting complex SaaS or infrastructure pricing models—such as PLG, hybrid commitment-plus-usage, tiered rates, and consumption-based/metered billing.
Revenue Recognition Knowledge:
Practical understanding of rev rec fundamentals (ASC 606 / IFRS 15) and how accounting rules dictate billing engine design.
Cross-Functional Communication:
Ability to bridge technical language and financial business logic, effectively collaborating with engineering teams and accounting stakeholders alike.
Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:
A methodical approach to diagnosing system sync errors, rating anomalies, and integration edge cases to ensure operational continuity.

That is where Wistia shines. Our mission?
Why This Role Matters
The Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager will play a critical role in helping our users discover, adopt and realize ongoing value with our product and features.
Who You'll Work With:
This role reports to our Senior Director of Demand Generation, and partners closely with the Growth Marketing, Content, Marketing Operations, Growth Product, Demand Generation and Customer Success teams.
What It's Like Working on This Team:
This is a hands-on, high-ownership IC role that will own the strategy and the execution.
Why is this role exciting?
Work Environment:
Remote — open to candidates anywhere in the US.
Key Responsibilities
Deeply understand our users and our product to help them succeed and grow
Own the strategy and execution of 1:many and 1:few lifecycle programs, primarily through email, focused on driving product adoption, feature awareness, and cross-sell/purchase readiness across trial and customer audiences — setting users up for the expansion moments that matter, upstream of the transactional triggers.
What We're Looking For
9+ years of email and lifecycle marketing experience at a B2B SaaS company, with a consistent track record of owning strategy and program outcomes — not just execution.
Why You'll Love Working at Wistia
At Wistia, we are building the leading video platform for small and medium B2B businesses, and we know that starts with our team. Why?
We know the biggest investment we can make is in our employees, so we provide:
A competitive compensation package that includes employee stock options
401k with 3% company contribution, regardless of whether you contribute (Roth 401k available)
Fully paid healthcare, dental, and vision insurance premiums (family plans included)
Pre-tax FSA and Dependent Care Account
16 weeks of paid parental leave
Flexible Time Off.
Annual professional development stipend (courses, conferences, and more)

About Us
At Fundraise Up, we are reimagining the fundraising platform to create the fastest and most convenient way to donate to non-profit organizations. Our innovation is aimed at enhancing loading speeds, boosting conversion rates, offering diverse payment methods, and more. Each month, individuals worldwide donate tens of millions of dollars through our platform. We are the go-to fundraising solution for some of the world's leading non-profit organizations. UNICEF, The Obama Foundation, the Alzheimer's Association, and many others leverage our platform for their online fundraising needs.
What you'll do
Build the methodology to forecast first-year revenue from new customers, using donation volume data instead of contract values.
Partner with Sales, RevOps, and Finance to validate pipeline data and keep deal value logic consistent with actual and expected donation behavior.
Design and maintain a standard model for deal value estimation, using internal benchmarks and historical donation patterns.
Build reporting that flags gaps between sales pipeline, donation data, and realized revenue.
Support forecast accuracy and board-level reporting, keeping CRM pipeline and financial models aligned.
Work with Product and Data teams to improve visibility into nonprofit donation flows.
Advise Sales on the financial structure of complex or high-impact deals.
Document the forecasting process so it can scale as the GTM team grows.
At Fundraise Up, AI is a default tool, not an experimental one. We expect every team member to actively use AI in their day-to-day work, identify where AI can change the shape of problems in their function, and grow their fluency as the tools evolve.
Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of FP&A or revenue forecasting experience, ideally including exposure to working alongside a sales team or working in a Deal Desk function.
Comfort building a process from scratch, with no existing playbook to follow.
Strong financial modeling skills, including forecasting and scenario analysis.
Working knowledge of CRM systems, Salesforce preferred.
Experience in a transactional or volume-based revenue model (payments, donations, marketplaces, usage-based SaaS) is a plus.
Deal Desk title experience is not required. FP&A depth matters more.
Comfortable working directly with Sales leadership without formal authority over their team.
Compensation
The compensation range for this role is $138k - $150k OTE. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, alignment with the role’s requirements and location.
Perks & Benefits
Health, Dental, and Vision insurance covered at 100% for employees, 80% for employee plus dependents, and 70% for employees plus family.
FSA and HSA Spending Account.
20 days of vacation, 5 sick days, 11 company holidays plus an additional 1 floating holiday.
401(k) plan with company match.
100% Company-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, basic life insurance and AD&D.
