Senior Engineering Manager, Payments

A little bit about us: We are Belvo, an open finance API platform aiming to democratize access to financial services in Latin America. We enable financial innovators to access and interpret financial data and initiate payments from end-users' accounts. We operate with a highly technical, passionate team of over 90 people from 20 nationalities, with offices in São Paulo and Mexico City and many working remotely. About the team: We work in cross-functional, autonomous teams following continuous delivery best practices on a modern technology stack. Our products are developer-built and customer-focused, with transparent communication and weekly all-hands meetings. We ensure synchronization across time zones for at least 3 hours daily. Our investors include Founders Fund, Kaszek Ventures, and YCombinator. Your opportunity: We seek a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager to lead a Payments team building a payments platform for the Mexico market, a product with strong traction requiring fast-paced work in a high-growth environment. Your focus areas include team leadership, performance, wellbeing, and process management. You should have a strong technical background and proven leadership, able to coach and coordinate an excellent engineering team. Responsibilities include driving feature and product delivery, setting objectives, monitoring performance, providing feedback, ensuring team happiness and productivity, cross-functional coordination, partnering with Product Managers on priorities and risks, participating in technical decisions and architecture discussions, establishing processes during growth phases, acting as Tech Lead when needed, and maintaining company culture through hiring.
