Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!
The Build Systems team within Figma’s Developer Experience organization owns Figma’s build and CI infrastructure, enabling engineers to ship changes to production quickly and safely. We build and operate core platforms across our polyglot monorepo, including build systems, artifact repositories, merge queues, test frameworks, and CI pipelines.
We’re looking for an experienced technical leader to help shape these platforms, uplevel the team, and deliver high-impact platforms that accelerate engineering velocity. The ideal candidate has deep experience with large monolithic codebases, builds durable and scalable systems, and is motivated by solving high-leverage problems that amplify productivity across the engineering organization.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you'll do at Figma:
Drive technical roadmap and strategy for the Build Systems team
Partner with cross-functional teams and leadership to identify developer pain points and design elegant, scalable solutions
Lead complex, multi-quarter initiatives reducing build/test times and improving CI reliability, all while balancing technical excellence with pragmatic delivery
Design, build, and maintain modern developer tools including scalable build systems, distributed CI platforms, and test frameworks that serve thousands of engineers
Architect and implement large-scale infrastructure on AWS that powers our entire build pipeline to ensure reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency
Mentor and uplevel the team through technical guidance, code reviews, and architectural leadership, leading by example and actively investing in your teammates’ growth
Collaborate with product engineers (your customers), infrastructure teams, and executive stakeholders, and communicate technical decisions clearly to audiences ranging from individual contributors to senior leadership
Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in build systems, CI, and developer tooling, and incorporate applicable technologies into our roadmap
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
5+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years on Infrastructure, Platform, or Developer Experience teams
Deep expertise in build systems (e.g., Bazel, Buck, Pants, Gradle) and operating large-scale monorepos
Experience optimizing CI/CD, building developer tooling at scale, and designing reliable, high-performance distributed systems
Hands-on experience with AWS, CI platforms (e.g., Buildkite), Infrastructure as Code, and strong coding skills in languages such as Go, TypeScript, Python, or Ruby
Proven technical leadership, with a track record of setting technical direction, driving cross-team initiatives, and communicating effectively across a wide range of stakeholders
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
Experience migrating large codebases to modern build systems (especially Bazel)
Experience building test frameworks and improving test infrastructure
Have excellent problem-solving skills, using a systematic and thorough approach grounded in first principles, with a bias for action and a strong focus on impact
You’re willing to work on grungy problems when they have a high impact on the business or the health of our platform
Care deeply about the quality of the software and systems you build, with an artisan mentality and a constant drive to improve your craft, while striking the right balance between idealism and pragmatism
Finally, Figma is a close-knit company with a strong culture that promotes inclusivity and collaboration, taking ambitious goals and having fun doing so. You deeply value these traits and see yourself actively contributing to it
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of highly experienced engineers building the infrastructure that powers Modal’s serverless GPU platform. This is a hands-on leadership role. Expect to split your time between technical contribution and people management depending on what the team needs. You’ll set direction, remove blockers, and build a strong engineering culture as your team tackles hard problems in distributed computing, large-scale data handling, and performance optimization.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:
Team
- Recruit, hire, and grow a high-performing team of cloud platform engineers; run regular 1:1s focused on coaching, feedback, and career growth
- Set clear performance expectations, hold a high bar, and build an environment where engineers do their best work
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
Technical Direction
- Drive day-to-day technical decisions through design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions
- Translate the infrastructure roadmap into clear team priorities and milestones, and hold execution against them
- Establish standards for reliability, performance, and operational excellence; ensure the team owns projects end-to-end, from spec through production
- Push for good judgment on tooling and architecture, with a bias against unnecessary complexity
Cross-Functional & Incident Leadership
- Partner with product and engineering to align infrastructure work with business priorities; represent your team’s progress, capacity, and tradeoffs clearly to leadership
- Serve as the escalation point for major incidents; drive resolution with urgency and ensure the team learns systematically, feeding those learnings back into infrastructure improvements
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF:
- You have 10+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- You have a track record of building high-performance distributed systems at scale
- You have a strong background in cloud infrastructure
- You have deep knowledge of low-level OS foundations (Linux kernel, file systems, containers, etc.)
- You’re proficient in a systems-level language (Rust, C, C++, or Java)
- You’re an experienced engineering leader who stays close to the work and builds alongside your team when it counts
- You earn trust through technical depth, not title
- You communicate clearly, help strong engineers move fast without cutting corners, and stay calm and pragmatic under pressure
- You care as much about how your team gets to an answer as about the answer itself

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.

- Member & customer-led: obsessed with solving problems and delighting users
🏆 How we build excellence - We hire the best and empower them to succeed

🌐 ENABLING GLOBAL-FIRST PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
In Alan's early expansion https://medium.com/alan/an-unexpected-journey-the-tale-of-the-backend-architecture-at-alan-ac8c5382df60, we made a strategic decision to create separate codebases for each country we ventured into. This approach allowed us to quickly adapt and tailor our applications to meet the unique healthcare and regulatory requirements of France, Belgium, Spain, and Canada.
In 2024 https://medium.com/alan/engineering-challenges-at-alan-in-2024-686688f6b89d, we reached a crucial point where it was essential to merge these codebases into global, configurable modules. Yet, writing local code is still easier than building global solutions. The Global Architecture team is central to this transformation — our goal is to enable any team at Alan to develop and launch features seamlessly across markets, as outlined in our 2025 technical strategy https://medium.com/alan/alans-2025-technical-strategy-building-tomorrow-s-stack-today-a070bcb345a6.
🚀 Your mission
- Design Cross-Cutting Modules You'll transform country-specific implementations into elegant global components that will become the new building blocks of other teams to build global features
- Remove Technical Blockers for Product Teams You’ll tackle technical blockers that cut across several domains and eliminate the need for team-specific workarounds, allowing product teams to focus on their core business
- Orchestrate Data Transformations You'll implement strategies to harmonize different countries' data models without losing local flexibility and consolidate existing data into unified schemas
- Build and Own What You Create You'll be responsible for the entire lifecycle of your solutions, from initial design through long-term maintenance. We don't just design — we build, deploy, and maintain what we create
🌟 Why This Role Matters
- Focus on High-Impact, Cross-Domain Solutions You work exclusively on blockers that span multiple business domains that are heavily depended upon. This means every solution you build has an impact across multiple teams
- Enable Teams, Don't Replace Them Your job isn't to substitute other teams or globalize everything. Instead, you'll work on technical obstacles that prevent teams from building global-first solutions and work with them to remove those obstacles
- Learn and Share Globalization Patterns As you design and implement global solutions, you'll develop an expertise in globalization patterns. You'll share these learnings with other teams, helping them make better decisions about global vs. local solutions in their own work
🚀 What we're looking for
- You write code and maintain what you build. At Alan there is no architect in an ivory tower, we implement what we design
- You’re able to navigate complex systems spanning multiple business domains and technical boundaries
- You've worked with diverse architectural patterns and can articulate the nuanced trade-offs between them
- You can spot technical obstacles that are blocking multiple teams and design solutions that remove those obstacles
⭐ IS IT YOU WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for problem-solver engineers with 5+ years of experience who get excited about simplifying complex business problems:
- You’ll be able to tackle high-impact & high-risk projects involving many engineers.
- You’ll design efficient systems and engineering practices to align with and facilitate interactions between multiple teams/products.
- You’ll have the opportunity to mentor other engineers & lead crews (more details in this article https://blog.alan.com/tech-et-produit/engineering-organisation-at-alan).
- You’ll be able to contribute to hiring your future coworkers and shape candidates’ hiring experience (improving our technical assessment process etc...)
You would be a good fit at Alan if most of this sounds like you:
- Well-versed in Object Oriented Programming such as Python, Java, C#, and enthusiastic about web technologies such as modern Javascript.
- Willing to work in Python/JavaScript (but you don’t need to have experience with those 2 languages!).
- Passionate about building products.
- Self-starting and entrepreneurial.
- Humble and still willing to grow (no matter your seniority!).
- Collaborative, enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching.
- Fluent in English (no need to speak French!).
For this opportunity, we are aiming to hire within the D-F level range.
But above all, we are looking for high potential and curiosity: make sure to show us this when you apply! Everything else is a bonus.

The company is a pioneer of global distributed collaboration, with 1200+ colleagues in 75+ countries and very few office-based roles. Teams meet two to four times yearly in person, in interesting locations around the world, to align on strategy and execution.

We are hiring a
Tax Senior Associate,
reporting to the CFO. This role covers multiple Canonical corporate entities in several countries. We have a preference for candidates in EMEA time zones.

You will work with the CFO to establish a scalable and efficient framework fit for a dynamic, global software business—tackling everything from digital services taxes to leveraging new tax technologies.
In our selection process, we

The role entails

Act as a key point of contact for tax authority audits and enquiries, preparing responses and supporting documentation in collaboration with external advisors.
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve tax processes, controls, and data management to enhance efficiency and accuracy particularly using technology and automation
Manage and run tax provisioning and reporting under IFRS, including calculating effective tax rates and preparing tax-related disclosures for financial statements
Work closely with the wider finance team, legal, and business operations to provide tax support and ensure cross-functional alignment
Monitor changes in tax legislation across the regions in which we operate and assess their potential impact on the company.
What we are looking for in you
Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, technology or other quantitative field
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and tax advisor (CTA, ADIT or equivalent)
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant tax experience, gained within a Big 4/Top 10 accounting firm or a multinational in-house tax team.
Confidence to respectfully speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas without hesitation
Track record of going above-and-beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results
The work ethic and confidence to shine alongside motivated colleagues
Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders

Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments
Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long
Nice-to-have skills

Responsibilities
Payment System Development:
Design, develop, and optimize OKX Pay's payment backend systems; build highly available, high-concurrency, scalable payment infrastructure.
Scan-to-Pay Capabilities:
Contribute to core QR/scan-to-pay functionality across the critical path — payment code generation, scan recognition, order creation, payment confirmation, state transitions, timeout handling, risk-control validation, and exception compensation.
Transaction Processing & Fund Flows:
Design and implement secure, stable transaction processing systems covering orders, payments, clearing and settlement, reconciliation, refunds, and callback notifications.
Crypto & Stablecoin Payments:
Build crypto and stablecoin payment capabilities — on-chain transfers, transaction confirmation, address management, asset crediting, and payment-status synchronization — and integrate them with traditional payment experiences.
System Stability & Problem Solving:
Safeguard the stability of core payment flows; diagnose and resolve complex production issues including performance bottlenecks, data-consistency problems, fund-security risks, and abnormal transaction scenarios.
Technical Optimization & Engineering Quality:
Continuously improve system architecture, code quality, monitoring and alerting, exception compensation, and observability to raise the security, reliability, and maintainability of the payment system.
Requirements
Java Backend Experience:
Solid Java development skills, fluent in Spring Boot and mainstream Java backend frameworks, with experience building high-concurrency, high-availability systems.
Payments Domain Experience:
Hands-on experience with payment systems and their core flows — payment orders, payment state machines, callback notifications, reconciliation, refunds, clearing/settlement, and exception compensation.
Scan-to-Pay Experience:
Background in scan-to-pay, acquiring, aggregated payments, merchant payments, wallet payments, or similar products, with familiarity across the full business and technical chain.
System Design:
Strong architecture design ability, capable of designing reliable transaction paths, state-transition mechanisms, and idempotency, retry, and compensation mechanisms.
Data Consistency & Fund-Security Awareness:
Understanding of the importance of data consistency, transaction handling, idempotency, deduplication, concurrency protection, risk-control validation, and fund security in payment systems.
Crypto / Stablecoin Payment Understanding:
Familiarity with the fundamentals of crypto and stablecoin payments and on-chain asset movement, including on-chain transfers, transaction confirmation, address systems, Gas, and crediting confirmation.
Problem-Solving:
Able to independently troubleshoot complex production issues, with strong log analysis, tracing, performance-optimization, and recovery skills.
Ownership & Execution:
Strong ownership; able to drive problems to resolution and ship projects in a fast-changing environment.
Nice-to-Haves
Stablecoin Payment Experience:
Project experience with USDT, USDC, or other stablecoin payments, collection, settlement, crediting, or on-chain confirmation.
Scan-to-Pay / Acquiring Experience:
QR payments, merchant acquiring, aggregated payments, payment gateways, cross-border payments, or offline payment scenarios.
Account & Ledger Systems:
Experience with payment accounts, fund accounts, merchant accounts, ledger systems, clearing/settlement systems, or reconciliation systems.
Blockchain Fundamentals:
Familiarity with the transaction mechanisms, address models, and asset-transfer flows of EVM, Tron, Solana, or other mainstream chains.
Risk & Compliance Awareness:
Understanding of payment risk control, anti-fraud, limits, allow/deny lists, KYC/KYT, and AML mechanisms.
High-Concurrency Transaction Systems:
Experience building high-concurrency order systems, trading systems, payment gateways, acquiring systems, or finance-grade core systems.
Who You Are
A solid Java backend engineer with deep understanding of payment systems, especially scan-to-pay, acquiring, merchant payments, or wallet payments.
You care not only about shipping features but also about fund security, system stability, exception compensation, reconciliation consistency, and the user's payment experience.
You don't need to be a senior blockchain expert, but you have a basic grasp of crypto and stablecoin payments and are eager to explore new payment models that combine traditional payment experiences with on-chain assets.
