As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.
About GDFT
Gaming, Developer, and Future Technology (GDFT) are the technology specialists at PlayStation. We build the underlying systems that power core platform capabilities and developer tools. Our mission is to enable world-class gaming experiences by delivering low-level, high-performance technology for PlayStation platforms.
The Role
We are looking for an engineer to join the GDFT department, working on the design and optimisation of PlayStation’s real-time game streaming technologies.
You will contribute to the development of low-latency video streaming systems across current and future PlayStation platforms, working on performance-critical areas spanning frame capture, media pipelines, codec configuration, system services and streaming transport.
The role is particularly suited to engineers with a strong C/C++ background and experience working with native video or media systems, including embedded devices, TV firmware, set-top boxes, consoles, or similar.
Our work sits at the intersection of product engineering and R&D. Alongside delivering production technology, engineers are encouraged to investigate new approaches to reducing end-to-end latency, improving visual quality and reducing bitrate, using measurement and experimentation to determine where meaningful improvements can be made.
What You'll Be Doing
Develop, optimise and maintain low-level C and C++ components within PlayStation’s game streaming stack.
Investigate opportunities to reduce end-to-end streaming latency across frame capture, buffering, encoding, transport, decoding and presentation.
Optimise the use and configuration of hardware video encoders, applying knowledge of codec behaviour and low-latency encoding techniques.
Analyse existing media pipelines to identify unnecessary buffering, memory copies, synchronisation delays and other sources of latency.
Use software and hardware instrumentation to measure system behaviour, validate hypotheses and quantify the impact of performance changes.
Investigate and debug issues across user-space applications, system services and daemon-level components.
Prototype and evaluate new approaches to improving streaming quality, latency and bandwidth efficiency.
Work with engineers and researchers across the wider organisation on areas such as codec development, rate control, Forward Error Correction and emerging media technologies.
Contribute technical findings and recommendations to design discussions, working with senior engineers to determine appropriate production solutions.
Collaborate across teams to integrate and validate streaming technologies within PlayStation platform software.
Attend periodic in-person workshops or team events, with travel possible a few times per year.
What We Are Looking For
This is a mid-level opportunity. You should bring some of the following skills and experience:
Strong proficiency in C and C++.
Experience developing native, performance-sensitive software rather than primarily web or managed application stacks.
Experience working with real-time video, media pipelines, codecs or embedded multimedia systems.
Practical understanding of video compression and media formats, including concepts such as chroma subsampling, bit depth and colour representation, with familiarity of codecs such as AVC, HEVC or AV1.
Understanding of concepts relevant to low-latency video encoding, which may include GOP structures, reference frames, rate control, VBV, quantisation parameters, slices, tiles or hardware codec APIs.
Strong debugging, profiling and performance-analysis skills.
An ability to investigate complex technical problems, identify likely causes and use evidence and instrumentation to support conclusions.
Comfortable working in unfamiliar parts of a large system and developing an understanding of how multiple components interact.
An experimental mindset, with an interest in prototyping, measuring and evaluating alternative technical approaches.
Ability to contribute to technical discussions and work with senior engineers when deciding how findings should be taken forward.
Highly Desirable Skills:
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous; we do not expect candidates to have experience across all of them:
Familiarity with techniques for evaluating video codec performance, including bitrate/quality/latency trade-offs and objective or perceptual video quality metrics (such as PSNR and VMAF).
Familiarity with compressed video bitstreams and codec signalling, such as NAL units/OBUs, parameter sets, profiles/levels and supplemental enhancement information.
Experience developing native video players, media frameworks or codec pipelines on TVs, set-top boxes, consoles, mobile devices or other embedded platforms.
Experience configuring or integrating hardware video encoders or decoders.
Deeper knowledge of H.264, HEVC, AV1 or other current and emerging video codecs, beyond high-level API configuration, such as reference structures, rate-control behaviour, bitstream structure or encoder-specific optimisation.
Experience optimising real-time video for low latency, visual quality or bitrate efficiency.
Familiarity with frame capture, graphics presentation pipelines, framebuffers or GPU/CPU synchronisation.
Experience identifying and reducing memory copies, queueing delays, memory-bandwidth limitations or other system-level performance bottlenecks.
Experience working with system services, daemons, firmware interfaces or other low-level platform components.
Familiarity with techniques such as content-aware encoding, region-of-interest encoding, adaptive resolution or frame rate, alternative reference-frame strategies or similar streaming optimisations.
Experience with Forward Error Correction or other techniques for improving the resilience of real-time media.
Experience with SIMD, vectorisation, cache optimisation or multithreaded performance tuning with instrumentation.
Experience with console or embedded systems development environments.
Experience with Git, Jenkins or similar CI/CD workflows.
Why Work in GDFT
Focused on platform-wide technology development
Room to explore and innovate within performance-critical system areas
Work on cross-regional collaborative projects
Flexible and relaxed working environment, with strong support for hybrid work
Opportunities for extensive professional development, technical conference attendance, and participation in internal hackathons

Agents are authoring entire data systems. The bottleneck is no longer writing pipelines, but understanding, governing, and trusting what they produce.
dltHub provides the infrastructure that enables data teams in large enterprises and scale-up companies to run their data stack autonomously. Our open-source Python library, dlt, offers agents and developers transparent, composable building blocks for data ingestion (schema inference, normalization, incremental loading, and data contracts), designed from the start for the AI era. Built on dlt, dltHub is the AI-native data engineering platform for teams of humans and agents: a managed layer over any warehouse that lets both your team and their agents generate, validate, and manage high-quality data at scale.
As we grow, product communication and sales collateral are critical for our success. We are hiring a Product Marketing Manager to lead building the bridge between our customers and our product team.
Mission of the Role
Make dltHub as compelling to business leaders as it is to engineers, and drive enterprise opportunities through a strong message, launches, and enterprise-level communication.
What you'll actually work on
Product Launches.
You own the process and delivery of our product launches and ensure we communicate our product vision and new product capabilities consistently to a growing audience. We launch new products every few weeks. Recent examples include the
public preview of Transformations
, a
companion post for practitioners
,
dltHub Pro
,
dltHub for Teams
, and our
vision for an autonomous data platform
.
Enterprise communication.
You ensure we are speaking with one voice and represent our brand consistently in everything we say and do. You take ownership of our website communications.
Customer collateral.
You take our customer success stories and blueprints, like the
ontology and semantic layer
, to the next level of excellence. These come from engagements with our customers and our Solutions Engineering team. You interview the customer and write them.
Content marketing.
You coordinate our content marketing creation and distribution efforts. Work with our content writers. Plan the schedules and ensure that the content speaks our language
The link between Product and GTM.
You align stakeholders, drive the launch schedule, and close gaps in messaging, sales enablement, and launch readiness. Coordinate our product marketing activities and keep the team aligned.
What success looks like:
In 90 days,
you run launches end to end, and our story is consistent across the website, sales collateral, and decks, with messaging that speaks directly to business buyers.
In 6 months,
you've built a repeatable process that trains sales on that story, and we can see it working (e.g. in win rate with business buyers & deal velocity)
Ongoing,
you own the marketing plan: one lean, visible roadmap where everyone can see what we're doing, why, and in what order.
Requirements
You can write clearly about technical subjects. Your style is clear and not full of marketing talk. Please read the post on the
Transformations launch
and the page at
dlthub.com/security
. If you think you can do better, you are the person we're looking for.
You have been targeting US enterprise customers and are therefore familiar with what a senior technical stakeholder actually reads. Our customers are the lead personnel regarding data platforms and the people who approve decisions on their behalf, both in the US and in the EU.
You can talk with a data engineer about pipelines, schemas, and warehouses without being one. You do need to understand what our product does.
You've carried out launches from start to finish, which involved you choosing the audience, deciding on the message, and selecting which assets were worth developing, before building most of them yourself.
You need to be able to keep agents in control and build agentic workflows while ensuring our external presence conveys a human touch.
You have a basic understanding of data workflows.
This probably isn't for you if
You rely on a formal brief and a kickoff meeting before getting started, this role is not for you. While you'll have access to design support, you're expected to independently draft the first version of the post, the page, and the deck without waiting for a request ticket.
You want to own strategy and hand execution to someone else.
You can't work from our Berlin office regularly.
Benefits
We organize our work around each person's autonomy and efficiency, with set hours for communication and for deep work.
We are an office-first company that also offers plenty of room for deep work and working from home. Dedicated meeting-free days let the team focus on their most important work.
We cover your Berlin public transportation ticket.
We are deeply committed to your personal and professional growth, and as such, we allocate an annual budget for learning and development.
We offer regular subsidized team lunches and Urban Sports Club membership.
We have an ESOP scheme available to employees, taking into account their impact on the product and the company.

We're proud of what we've built — and we're just getting started. Read our Culture Manual https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/culture and learn more about how we work https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/careers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role owns the partnerships behind how we reward Wealthsimple clients for their everyday spend and deepen their relationship with us. You'll own our perks and rewards ecosystem end to end: credit card partnerships, Milestone Rewards, Wealthsimple Offers, and the credit card cashback marketplace. The job is to turn these programs into a reason clients bring more of their financial lives to us, measured in adoption, consolidation, and engagement. You'll source, negotiate, and launch partnerships with some of the biggest brands in the country, and you'll build a lot of it from scratch. This is a builder's seat for someone who's done perks and rewards before and wants to own the function end to end.
IN THIS ROLE YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Own credit card partnerships end to end: source, negotiate, and land partner-funded, card-native perks with national, household-name brands.
- Grow Wealthsimple Offers and the credit card cashback marketplace: build the roster across our top spend categories (travel, telecom, insurance, entertainment, grocery, transportation) and drive client adoption and redemption.
- Own Milestone Rewards: shape the mechanics and partner mix, and make the calls on when to revamp, expand, or retire.
- Lead commercial negotiations from first outreach to signed terms, landing economics that work for both our clients and the business.
- Turn card and marketplace data into a pipeline: find where the spend, the frequency, and the client value actually are, then go win those partners.
- Partner cross-functionally with Growth, PMM, Brand, Product, and data to launch, measure, and scale each program.
- Own the targets: offers live, unique clients engaging, redemption rates, and perks live per quarter, all tied to adoption, consolidation, and engagement.
SKILLS YOU'LL BRING:
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in consulting, partnerships, and/or product-adjacent roles in banking or customer-focused industries.
- Perks and rewards experience. You've built or run a perks, rewards, or loyalty program before. This is the core of the role and we're looking for someone who's lived it, not read about it.
- Negotiation and commercial ownership. A master negotiator with a track record of driving commercial outcomes, hitting targets, and turning partnerships into value.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to assess trade-offs, economics, and scalability, and real comfort in spend and redemption data.
- Strategic partnership execution. Demonstrated experience developing and executing partnerships that require coordination across multiple stakeholders and functions.
- A 0-to-1 operator. Experience launching, building, or scaling programs in a new market with a high degree of autonomy.
- High urgency, strong ownership, and a bias for action.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Credit card, card-linked offer, interchange, or payments experience. If you've worked on card perks or a card-linked marketplace, we especially want to talk.
- A loyalty pedigree: experience at a fintech, a financial institution, or a consumer brand with a serious loyalty program.
- Hands-on data skills: SQL or a BI tool (Looker, Preset, Tableau, or similar) to interrogate spend and redemption yourself.
