At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile Tax Technology Manager to support our growing EMEA and beyond scope. This role connects tax, technology, and data — ensuring our systems and processes enable compliant, efficient, and scalable across the region.
The ideal candidate combines a strong understanding of indirect tax (particularly VAT and invoicing) with an ability to partner cross-functionally and translate tax requirements into smart, tech-enabled solutions. You don’t need to be a developer or automation engineer — but you must be able to see opportunities, shape solutions, and drive them to execution by partnering with tax, engineering, accounting, data ops, and automation teams etc.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the implementation of tax-related technology solutions, ensuring compliance with new or changing legislation (e.g., invoicing, digital reporting, VAT mandates).
Represent Tax in engineering, product, and finance initiatives — ensuring that new business rollouts and systems capture all relevant tax requirements.
Partner with vendors and internal system owners to integrate and maintain compliance tools
Support data governance and system control frameworks, ensuring audit (SOC) readiness, traceability, and documentation across tax technology systems.
Drive standardization of tax processes and tools across entities and regions (Wolt, DoorDash, Deliveroo).
Build strong partnerships with engineering, data, automation, and finance teams to ensure tax technology needs are prioritized and delivered effectively.
Act as a bridge between tax and technology — translating regulatory and compliance requirements into actionable system and process specifications.
Collaborate with local tax teams to ensure regional regulatory nuances are accurately reflected in the design and functionality of tax technology solutions.
Identify automation and efficiency opportunities across tax processes and drive them from concept through delivery while collaborating with the automation and data ops to teams to develop scalable solutions..
Promote adoption and consistent use of tax technology solutions across regional and global tax teams.
Provide training, documentation, and user support for new tools and processes.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement — gathering feedback, measuring outcomes, and iterating on solutions post-implementation.
Develop and maintain a joint roadmap with cross-functional teams, balancing strategic priorities and operational capacity.
Ensure strong governance around tax technology initiatives, including change management, security, and compliance oversight.
Qualifications & Experience
Understanding of indirect tax (especially VAT), e-invoicing, and digital tax compliance frameworks in the EMEA region. Understanding of other areas in tax such as Direct Tax, DAC7 etc. is a plus
Understanding of commercial tax engines (ie Vertex)
Proven track record of supporting or optimizing tax technology solutions in a multinational environment.
Familiarity with data flows and ability to partner effectively with data and automation teams.
Strong analytical mindset
Project management experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to explain complex tax technology topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Accounting/tax qualification or relevant technology certification preferred.
Understanding and display of using AI tools
This role will require traveling dependent on where the employee is based. We anticipate a 25% travel rate if the candidate is based in either Helsinki or London.

And we're just getting started. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who care as much as you do, we'd love for you to apply.

You turn forecasts into capacity plans, and capacity plans into schedules, so we meet our service levels at a sustainable cost.
CS covers ride-hailing, intercity, delivery and food delivery, across Live Chat, Email, Incident Management, Driver Verification, Review and Appeals, and Insurance. This role gives CS leadership one clear view of hiring needs and service-level risks for the coming months and years. Reports to Director, Customer Support Excellence.

Use the Erlang method to make sure we have enough people to hit each service level, by language and vertical (ride-hailing, intercity, delivery, food delivery).
Headcount planning.
Own the monthly and yearly headcount plan for in-house and BPO teams. Show CS leadership what hiring will look like in the coming months, and where performance is likely to dip, ensure BPO is following correct methodology to deliver on performance.
Scheduling and adherence.
Lead a team of junior, senior and workforce specialists who turn capacity plans into schedules and enforce them. Own schedule and capacity accuracy, and keep improving adherence to meet targets.
BPO partners.
Share incoming contact patterns with BPOs, audit and validate their rosters and schedules, and hold them accountable for all WFM topics.
Reporting and insight.

Tools.
Work with Product to build our WFM tool in-house, while staying flexible and getting the most from the tools we use today.
Team.
Hire, coach and develop the WFM team, and set clear standards for planning and scheduling across all lines.

✨ ONE PLATFORM, A WHOLE WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY
The best jobs have always clustered in a handful of the world's wealthiest cities. But talent is everywhere. Oyster set out to close that gap - building a global employment platform that lets companies hire, pay, and care for brilliant people anywhere.
We're proof that a high-performing culture doesn't need an office. Distributed across 60+ countries since 2020, we've built something the industry keeps noticing:
- Ranked #10 of 250 on TIME and Statista's 2026 list of America's Top WorkTech Companies https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-hr-named-10-of-americas-top-worktech-companies-of-2026-by-time
- Named one of America's Greatest Startup Workplaces 2026 https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-2026-newsweek-award by Newsweek
- A G2 Spring 2026 Leader https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-named-best-roi-for-any-global-employment-platform-for-g2-spring-2026 across Employer of Record, Global Employment, Multi-country Payroll, and HR Compliance
- The only B Corp-certified global employment platform ~ independently verified since 2023
Two of those rankings measured our business impact from the outside. One measured how our own people feel about working here. They landed in the same place ~ because at Oyster, culture and performance aren't separate conversations. They're the same one.
And we're just getting started. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who care as much as you do, we'd love for you to apply.
The Opportunity
Our team owns Oyster’s APIs, connected architecture (including Model Context Protocol services) and identity and access management systems. In this role you’ll build and maintain the Ruby on Rails APIs that help our internal teams get work done more effectively.
You’ll partner directly with colleagues across the business to understand how they work, find where an API can remove manual effort, clarify requirements and deliver real productivity improvements. You’ll take well-scoped projects from design through release, with the team’s support on design choices and on unfamiliar or higher-risk areas. Along the way, you’ll grow your ownership of projects within the team.
WHAT YOU’LL BUILD & OWN
- Internal API use cases, from discovery to delivery. Work with internal stakeholders to understand their workflow, define acceptance criteria and break the work into manageable increments.
- Production Rails APIs. Design, implement, test, review and release changes within established architecture and security practices, raising dependencies and risks early.
- Secure, careful code. Handle authentication, authorization and sensitive data carefully, and seek review for unfamiliar access-control or integration changes.
- Reliable, maintainable systems. Troubleshoot defects and API failures using evidence, add regression coverage and contribute to maintainability improvements.
- Measurable impact. Evaluate delivered workflows with stakeholders to confirm adoption and productivity gains.
- A strong team culture. Contribute to domain modeling and design discussions with Product and senior engineers. Give constructive code reviews, document API behavior and decisions for async collaboration, support less-experienced colleagues and help simplify unnecessary process.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Essential
- 3+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on Ruby.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining Ruby on Rails applications. You can explain your API implementation choices and use Git effectively.
- The ability to refine straightforward stakeholder requirements into well-scoped work, and to ask for support when risk or dependencies exceed the agreed scope.
- Strong code quality habits: readable code, automated tests (TDD where appropriate), continuous integration, meaningful reviews and secure coding awareness.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development, including independent verification of generated code, tests and assumptions.
- Clear communication and effective collaboration in an agile, remote team. You adapt as priorities change and document decisions so others can work asynchronously.
Nice to have
- Front-end experience with React and TypeScript.
- Exposure to internal developer-facing APIs, identity and access management, or Model Context Protocol services. This is not required.
WHY JOIN US
- Direct, visible impact. Your users are your colleagues, so you’ll see how your work changes their day.
- Growing ownership with real support. You’ll own scoped projects end to end, with experienced teammates backing you on the unfamiliar parts.
- A meaningful technical domain. You’ll work across APIs, connected architecture and access management, areas where careful engineering really matters.
- Thoughtful remote culture. You’ll join a globally inclusive, async-friendly team that values documentation and sustainable working boundaries.

We combine global fintech expertise with deep local market knowledge to make financial services simple, accessible, and useful for millions of people across the region.
7M+ app downloads. 2M+ monthly active users. 7,000+ partner stores. US$310M+ raised from leading global investors.

If you want to solve complex problems at scale and impact how millions of people access and manage money, come build with us.
Southeast Asia's fintech moment starts here.
About the role:
You'll own the NPV and unit economics model behind Salmon's credit card business — the core logic behind how we price, size, and monitor profitability across the portfolio.
What you'll do:
- Work directly with the Head of Economics to turn model logic into production-ready Python/SQL code
- Build and maintain the datasets that feed the model — cohorts, cashflows, losses, funding, fees, revenue — with help from other analysts
- Automate scenario and sensitivity runs so pricing, limit, and product decisions are backed by real numbers
What you'll own:
- Own the end-to-end NPV / unit economics model for credit cards — clean, testable, versioned logic
- Validate model outputs against actual portfolio performance and investigate gaps when they don't match
- Translate model logic into clear, implementation-ready specs when other teams need to build on it
- Step outside your immediate scope when the work calls for it — we value ownership over rigid roles
What makes you a strong fit:
- 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics
- Strong Python (pandas) and SQL — for data exploration and for implementing analytics logic in production
- Solid understanding of unit economics / financial modeling — cashflows, NPV, cohorts — through direct modeling experience or hands-on work with such models
- High attention to detail — small errors break economics in production
What we offer:
Ownership and flexibility
- Stock option plan — four-year vesting with a 25% cliff after the first year
- Hybrid-first work environment
- Company-provided tools and equipment
- Office in Bonifacio Global City, Manila — a modern, walkable district at the centre of the Philippines' growing tech scene
Health and time off
- Medical insurance support for you and your family through co-funding or reimbursement, depending on your location and subject to policy limits
- Access to an internal mental health support specialist
- 22 vacation days, Philippine public holidays, and 15 sick days
- 105 days of paid maternity leave and up to 14 days of paid paternity leave for employees relocating to Manila
Relocation and family support
- Relocation support for you and your family — including flights, two weeks of accommodation, visas, paperwork, and logistics
- Reimbursement of eligible pet relocation expenses
- USD 2,500 per year for flights home
- Baby and family stipends for employees relocating to Manila: USD 1,000/month per child under two, USD 500/month per child aged two to 18
Growth and team experience
- Opportunities to learn and share your expertise through internal expert meetups, external conferences, speaking opportunities, and industry publications
- Company-sponsored trips to Manila to meet and work with your team in person
- Regular team offsites, sports activities, and team events
- High-performing teams can earn a dedicated beach house week in Southeast Asia
We believe strong teams are built by people with different backgrounds, experiences, and points of view. Salmon is an equal opportunity employer, and we make hiring decisions based on skills, experience, and potential.
